Mad Hot Wonderland Gala

This past Tuesday was the National Ballet of Canada's annual fundraising event held at the Four Seasons Performing Centre for the Arts. This year, Mad Hot Wonderland was themed after their highly successful production of Alice in Wonderland with the England's Royal Ballet.

Although the Alice has been sold out completely at the box office, guests were able to watch an excerpt of it, as well as dance pieces including Passacaglia, No. 24 and The Dying Swan.

Personally, I'm not a dancer, but I appreciate it so much. I have always loved ballet. So to me, the performance was incredible. The first two were more lyrical and interpretive, which was nice. The Dying Swan and Alice were more classical ballet, which was done beautifully.

After the performance was finished, we all went back outside where hor d'oeuvres, cocktails, and wine were being served in the completely transformed building. No longer did you feel like you were at the Four Seasons, but instead, a rather large tea party. There were long tables with hot pink tablecloths, brightly coloured teacups, and a display of the large caterpillar smoking hookah.

Guests themselves also contributed to the whole Madhatter's tea party feel as well. Many (including yours truly) donned beautiful headpiece, no two alike, and bold coloured attire was spotted everywhere.

What was even cuter, were the girls dressed up as Alice playing croquet on Osgoode Lawn.

Needless to say, I was very glad that I wasn't late for this very important date.

Did I mention that I made my own fascinator for the night? It's pretty nice. I love DIYs.

Baking Spell

Since I've come home, I've been hit with a cooking bug. All I ever want to do right now is cook. Sort of true. Maybe because I was missing my sewing machine.. regardless, I've taking on cooking right now, and it's fantastic!

Meringues, are so fluffy and yummy. I never knew that they're actually super simple and easy to make! I always thought they're supposed to be so difficult and challenging, but no. So simple! To me, they fall into a category that macarons also fall into. They're both light, crunchy, and uses egg whites.

Anyway, baking is such a time buster. It's good for a boring day, it makes it, well, less boring.

Meringues
- 3 egg whites
- 1/4 tsp cream of tartar
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar (which is basically regular sugar)
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 spoons
- electrical mixer

First, preheat your oven to 200 F.

Take your eggs and put it into a large bowl. Use your electric mixer and whisk it on low speed until it becomes frothy. (Frothy meaning extremely bubbly and foam-like)

Then, you add your cream of tartar and continue to whisk. Whisk until it makes soft peaks (What do you mean soft peaks? Well, until it doesn't quite look like egg whites anymore).

Add some sugar (not all of it) and mix. Add more sugar and mix. And continue to do so until all the sugar is gone.

Now you turn your mixer on higher and whisk and whisk and whisk. Until they hold hard peaks. (Soft peaks and now hard peaks? Hard peaks meaning they look like little mountains if you try to make little mountains. Soft peaks are kind of like little mountains that can't stand still) and if you take some of the mix and rub between your index and thumb, it's smooth and you can't feel the sugar bits.

Got your hard peaks? Time to take your two spoons and put it on your cookie sheet. But wait! Before you do that, line your sheet with parchment paper. Now, take one spoon and make a little lump on your sheet. Use the other spoon to help get it off the spoon. You might want to take a chopstick (or something like that) and make a swirl on the lump to make it look pretty.

As soon as you're done that, put it in the oven for 1 hour and 45 minutes. Rotate halfway through to ensure even baking.

Finished

Sugary happiness.

What's In Store for Galliano?

In headlines today, John Galliano's trial was held in Paris courthouse. Prosecutors had asked to fine him at least 10,000 euros ($14,000) for his actions. He was being prosecuted for the anti-Semitic comments he made at a Paris bar.

A friend of his took her cellphone and caught this all on video. Once it surfaced, he lost his position as Creative Director for Christian Dior - even after working there for fifteen years.

During his testimony, he said that he had no recollection of what had happened, and blamed his "triple addiction" of alcohol, sleeping pills and barbiturates. The designer is charged with public insults based on origin, religious affiliation, race or ethnicity" and could face up to six months in prison and $32,175 in fines. The verdict is expected at a later date.

Oh Galliano, why oh why would you do this to yourself? He is actually such a creative genius and had brought Dior to new heights - obviously without him, Dior wouldn't be what it is today, am I right?

Fall/Winter'11/12

Even though he no longer is with Dior, he's still has his John Galliano line. I feel like his line isn't as flamboyant as his Dior collections, but it's still unique. It feels more ready to wear as oppose to the extravagant pieces that are strutted down the runways. Maybe that will all change now.

With his whole trial and court situation, I think people would still continue to support his designs. Don't get me wrong, his words were completely inappropriate and disrespectful, but at the same time, art is art right? When you see something that you like, and it's beautiful, it's hard to unlike it. Like the famous painter Picasso who was a complete womanizing and has been called a woman destroyer, but, I still appreciate his art very much (despite his reputation).

"After every creative high, I would crash and the alcohol helped me," he said, adding that his creativity "helped make Dior a billion-dollar business."

That makes sense - I mean look at artists throughout the ages, so many create their best work when they're intoxicated. I guess it takes you to a whole new level and you observe things differently.

Is this going to hurt his career? Probably a little bit. But I'm sure he'll be able to bounce back in no time.

Remember when Kate Moss had that whole debacle with her cocaine scandal? Look at her now. She designed several collections for Topshop, continued to do spreads and be in campaigns, and recently announced, she's to team up with Rimmel for her own range of makeup.

What should he learn from this? If he's going to be drunk or high or involves himself in some sort of non-sober activity, he should stay somewhere where he isn't able to talk to strangers.

Well, controlling his addictions will help too I suppose.

A.L.C Resort 2012 Collection

A.L.C. is so far my favourite collection from the Resort 2012 season. Designer Andrea Lieberman includes nice tailored pieces as well as really relaxed pieces as well. I absolutely love the colour palette she chose - a lot of neutral colours, but then there's the mustard yellow, lime green, pastel blue and a feather print that was really unexpected. It's so chic and sophisticated, yet so effortless.

I actually can't wait to get my hands on some of these!

Versace for H&M

This morning, H&M had released the name of their next special designer collaboration. Ready? Versace! The Italian design powerhouse is going to be creating not one but two collections for the Swedish brand.

The collection will reflect on Versace's heritage full with leathers, vibrant colours and exuberance at H&M prices!

Women's collection will be dominated by dresses featuring studded leather and colourful prints, and accessories including heels and costume jewellery. The menswear collection will focus of sharp tailoring, including the perfect tuxedo, and accessories such as belts and jewellery for him as well.

“Versace is one of the most important brands of recent times, and their collection for H&M will be glamorous and flamboyant – everything Versace stands for. Donatella Versace is sharing with us iconic designs from the archives. This is such a celebratory collaboration and is perfect for the party season,” says Margareta van den Bosch, creative advisor at H&M.

The Fall Collection is available November 17th in 300 stores as well as online for the Fall Collection. January 19th is when her Pre-Spring Collection is available exclusively online for countries with H&M.

The Annual MMVAs

Unless you were living under a rock in Toronto the past weekend, you probably know that The 22nd Annual Much Music Video Awards happened on Sunday. I was on passing by the Much Music building a lot this week, and so much barricading and building and road blocking happened right at that little corner. It's hard to miss.

Regardless, I didn't head downtown for the awards this year (something about screaming girls and squishiness that didn't seem too appealing). I watched it at home like most of the people did across Canada.

And what's an award show without the red carpet fashions?

Hits:

To be completely honest, I am not a Selena Gomez fan. I think she's pretty, but I think that it's something about her not looking her age. She's 18 or so now, but she looks really young. Sometimes it seems as if she's a little girl playing dress up. This ensemble, however, changes my view on her (just a bit). It makes her look really sophisticated and chic. Not to mention, how well she mixed the two hottest trends of the summer - a nude and a bright. The dress itself has such an interesting texture to it, very different to all the nude dresses I've been seeing this season (as in mostly chiffon or silky). I absolutely love this number.

Kreesha Turner's look is so simple, yet edgy and modern. Even though she is quite risqué with the top selection, the conservative navy and black colour choice balanced it out. It's a sexiness that doesn't go overboard. She's showing just enough that doesn't make her look too office-lady or too hoochie. The lace up booties are an added plus.

Miss:

Not too long ago, Avril Lavigne donned frilly frocks and long floor length gowns. Why did she rewind back to her punky teenage self? She's wearing a t-shirt that I'm sure she cut herself, and what's up with the leggings? This is a clear example of how lace is soon probably going to be a dying trend - the use of it here is just plain wrong. And those shoes! They look like sluggish monsters attached to her feet! Oh Avril, you have so much potential to be on everyone's best dressed lists, so why don't you?

Kat Graham, looking good. But wait! Why are there so many random silver things? Oh, I get it, a buckle dress. Seriously, if this dress didn't have the buckles and the extra straps hanging off, this would've been a killer outfit. But look. The buckles are placed ever so awkwardly! Note the crotch buckle circle. And buckles on your chest can't be that comfortable either. She gets brownie points for trying something different, and most definitely, those gorgeous shoes.

The colour of this dress on is really complementing on Alyssa Reid. It's a nude that doesn't wash her out. Now if only those black lines would disappear. Those outlines are creating a really unflattering illusion of her figure. They run sideways, so it makes her seem bigger than she actually is. So close, so close.

To be honest, this year, I wasn't really wow-ed by the celebs choices (of course, with a few exceptions). Well, there's always next year?

The Feeling of Hectic

I don't know why, but when I have nothing planned out, I feel so restless. Don't get me wrong, I love a day of R&R, but if it was an unintentional one (as in I had nothing planned for the day) I feel like I'm wasting my day, and it becomes a really unproductive day.

For some reason, I love packed schedules - shuffling from one place to another, there's some kind of a rush. I don't know what it is. The feeling of not wanting to be late, the hurrying and trying to walk fast but still calm. It's weird, I can't explain it.

Sitting at home on my laptop right now, all my clothes are staring at me. My whole room is staring at me. It's begging to get a reno, if not, at least a makeover of some sort.

I'm going to make breakfast instead.

Très Français, Non?

Ok, so what's very french? Me? I wish. But, I'll be faux French just for a bit. How am I possibly going to achieve that? By attempting to make the very delicious Parisian Macarons.

As promised, I'm providing a step-by-step with pictures that I did to make my very first ever batch of macarons. I've always heard that they're hard and has a high failure rate, but I did it, and boy, are they ever yummy!

Macarons

- 4 egg whites
- 200 grams cup icing sugar
- 110 grams ground almond
- 2 tbs granulated sugar (aka regular sugar)

Before you do anything, take your egg whites and 'age' them overnight. Then, go to sleep.

Next day, begin by preheating your oven to 300F. Take your egg whites and whisk them on low speed with your electric mixer until foamy. Then add your 2 tbs of sugar slowly.

Until your mixture looks like that. Kind of meringue-like and whipped cream-like. Can you believe that's from egg whites and sugar?

Take your ground almond out, and measure 110 grams on a scale. Put it in a bowl. Then measure 200 grams of icing sugar and put it in the bowl with the ground almonds.

Get a spoon and mix it together, and make sure it's nicely powdery and loose. No chunks of ground almond sticking together. Done?

Then, you add it to your whipped cream-like egg whites and fold with a spatula. It should look evenly mixed and kind of grainy and sandy-ish (because of the ground almonds)

Take out a cookie sheet and parchment paper, and measure your parchment paper to fit perfectly to your sheet. Get a pastry bag and tip and squeeze small circles on your sheet. (I didn't have the right tip, so mine were a little big)

Set your oven to 300F and bake for 20 minutes. Let it cool for a white. Then, you put filling in the middle on one shell and place another on top... like a sandwich!

And voilà! Your macarons are ready! I used blackberry jam, strawberry jam and nutella as filling. My macarons came out a bit nutty, so I personally prefer the nutella filling, but the jams make it more dessert-like.

Success to me! I was actually very scared that it wouldn't work, but considering this was my first time, I quite like the results. I didn't get to make my own filling because I was running out of eggs (I made meringues the night before). But throughout the summer, I will be experimenting with these tasty treats and tweaking them a little bit, and trying different flavours.. exciting right?

Try them yourself. It's really fun.

Summer Comeback!

So, the last time I said that I had recover from my hiatus, clearly, I was lying. (Although, I had every intention of returning.. but you know, life is so unexpected sometimes)

So voila! Summer has arrived, and I'm feeling fabulous.

Before leaving Montreal, I had a chance to sublet a place (with a communal kitchen) that led me to do some quick (but super yummy) cooking, party a bit (or a lot) and chill with some lovelies before I left town.

I decided from now on, I'll be taking my own pictures and share them (because I never take pictures, and if I do, they stay on my camera). So equipped with my new camera (just a Sony Cyber-shot with 14.1 aka my new companion) I'm ready to be "that" girl (oh, you know the ones.. the trigger happy, must-take-a-picture-of-everything-in-my-life type)

My last few days in Montreal summed up in pictures.

I made meringues and macarons! Did I forget to mention that? Well, I'll post step-by-step instructions for those tomorrow. So, keep a watch out.

This summer, I'm going to be cooking, making, doing, reading, typing, taking and hopefully blogging.

I love soaking up that sun. And the space there is for me to do that here.

Finally

I haven't blogged or done anything productive in such a long time... other than school that is.

However! I am now involving myself in not one or two, but three fashion shows happening here at Mcgill! I'm beyond excited to finish all my looks! I went to Fabricville and I fell in love with fashion all over again.

Currently, I am in the process of making two different looks for a show coming up next Friday! I pulled together a women's look .. it's a 'tornado inspired' dress. And just two days ago, I was told to put together a men's look. In less than two days, I have a dress rehearsal! There is no way that I can possibly finish a look so quickly. My plan? I ended up going to Value Village and buying a plain white t, a grey plaid pleated front dress pants, and a purple cotton dress shirt.

I have so much work to finish... but photos to come soon!
I just cannot wait until this is finished. In my mind, I can envision it, and it looks really nice.

My S/S'11 is going to be inspired by a lot of light and pastel colours, with like a more sophisticated nautical type look. A preppy-ness to it that makes it still diva glam.

Put a Spell on You - Dazed & Confused

I've wanted to blog about this for a while now, but because of exams and school, I decided to take a quick hiatus.

Anyways, now that I'm done, I'm back... with a spread from Dazed & Confused. Ready?

It's Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) all grown up.

I know. It's the same guy who plays Harry Potter... but not at all!

In this spread, he has brought forth this element of edgy, dark, kind of sexiness to him that I really never thought he had. It's like this mysterious-ness in him that makes you want to know what it's all about.

My favourite shot has to be the one with the feathers. It kind of reminds me of the phoenix in Kanye's Runaway video, but it's of course, a more masculine take on it.

Life of a Student

Here I am once again with my procrastinating self up. It feels like it's very late, but it's clearly not...it's only 11:24pm. I'm so sleep deprived that I can't even function properly. Regardless, I must stay up and work tonight. I have a ten paged paper due for tomorrow, and my progress so far? I've written approximately almost two pages. That's only 20%!

So I'm going to camp out here in the library until I have finished five pages, or it's time for the library to close, which is at 2:45am.

I'm half dead, working on this.

I am so tired, and not literally just walked out in yoga pants, a tee, and uggs. I don't care, I'm in desperate need to finish and sleep.

Boots

So I wake up this morning and think darn. It's already 10 am. I look at my phone to check some messages, and behold! It's not 10am, it's only 9 am! Oh how I love Canada and their need to fall back an hour in the cold seasons. An extra hour can do so much!

Talking about the cold,

how annoying is it that so many times that I try to buy ankle boots in the store, and they have an open toe? I mean it's getting to about 4 degrees here everyday, and you expect me to wear shoes that aren't going to cover my toes? Don't get me wrong, I love open toed shoes, they're my absolute faves! However, when it's going to get close to freezing point, I'd rather not have my poor toes not be covered. It's sad because so many beautiful shoe options are open toed. Great trend, but I'd much rather have seen more of this in the S/S collections, rather than the ones for F/W.

Another thing about trends on boots.

Rainboots. The question here is why do most of them have obnoxious prints or crazy colours? (of course there are the exceptions, but that's why I said most) I mean having rubber boots doesn't mean the need for ridiculous pictures on them are required. I'm still looking for nice rainboots (not feeling the hunters or michael kors or burberry... too many people have them) and so, my search continues..

China Fashion Week

Personally, I've never really looked at China as being one of the places to have fantastic fashion weeks. I guess I've always it in my mind that it would be very asian-inspired collections, and to be honest, since I was little, I haven't been a big fan of the asian-themed textiles.

However, after taking a glimpse of what they have to offer this week, I must say, I am baffled. Not only is it tres avant garde, but also very creative and over the top.

It's so risque. And fresh. It's so unexpected!

Sooner or later, China will be one of the 'it' fashion spots. When you think fashion now, I think of New York, Milan, Paris and London. Sooner or later, Beijing will be in that list too.

Let's give it another five years.

Halloweekend

I know it's already been a couple days, but it's still worthy to talk about.
Halloween! One of my most favourite occasions of the year!

You see, I love dressing up. Period. Dress up to go out, dress up to go to a formal, but especially dressing up to be someone (or something) else.

This year, with Halloween falling on a SUNDAY, I had 3 days to dress up! Was I ever excited!

And here's the breakdown:

Friday: That's right! I was Snooki! I actually bronzed myself up! I got a darker foundation and spread it all over my upper body and my face. How tanned am I? Like my hair? Bump-its are the best! But I don't think I'll be doing more poufs or have my boobs spill out like they do here anytime soon... however! I will still keep my fists pumping.

Saturday: Arrrggg, me name is a pirate. Nothing too special. I wore fishnets for the first time. They are rather awkward when you rub your legs against each other. It's such a funny feeling since they're mostly holes in your tights. And after I put them into the wash, it's like so weird looking. Oh wells, fishnets, really, are for Halloween... otherwise, it's hooker-wear.

Sunday: so if you can't tell already, I don't take pictures. Or I hardly ever take pictures. Anyways, you can't see it very well, but I was a vampiress. Pretty scary to say the least. Made my top... didn't work out so well. Lesson learned: never make anything without giving a good amounts of time to try on and make sure it fits. My corset was way too big on me. Half the time, I was dancing with it half on me. It's ok, like any club, people were probably too drunk to notice anyways.

Delightful Surprise

I had no idea that this was what to expect for Kanye's Runaway Film. How breathtaking is this? The cinematography was done so well.

On another note, the phoenix! If my Halloween costume were that, it would have been beyond amazing. And the way she moved like a phoenix, it was definitely not like any 'bird' I've seen. She looked so great. Her makeup, hair and overly exaggerated nails was such a good hybrid of human-bird.

To be honest, I still think Kanye's a pompousy douche, however, I'll admit that he's really good at what he does. The music is actually not bad, and the whole idea is so good. I would have never imagined him to be so artistically inclined.

I especially enjoyed the different symbols and images he used to represent various parts of his life and history too (can you see them?)

I know I'm late on this, I mean, it came out last week, if not the week before; regardless, I still think it's still blog-worthy.

Greta Constantine S/S'11

Greta Constantine showcased their Spring/Summer 2011 collection at LG Toronto Fashion Week. Let me first comment on their take on the greek goddess. When you think greek goddess, what comes to mind? Togas. White togas. Kinda takes you to a college party doesn't it?

Mais non! Not Greta Constantine! The duo made their pieces so light and airy, I feel like just by looking at it, I feel like I'm by the Mediterranean breeze, not the need to down a few shots. The draping and flowy-ness on the dresses makes it such a versatile dress. I could wear it to the resort and just lay by the beach with my bikini on underneath, or glam it up for night wear. But seriously, draping. It's a Greta Constantine thing. It kind of reminds me of their S/S'06. But like I said again, they're draping obsessed. Doesn't matter to me, I still think it's fabulous!

I like how in this collection it's a very earthy feel to it. The nudes make it very neutral, and if you're not feeling the nudes, the colour choice is very subtle. It's not a loud look at me, I'm an eccentric attention seeker! colour scheme, rather it's a reserved kind of chic that people can't help but to look at you.

Favourite look? The first picture. Note how cropping out the middle section and making them into two pieces looks as if she's wearing a belt. I thought it was kind of fun, especially since how the middle belt trend blew up. The middle belt is to emphasize your waistline... this shows it off, which does emphasize it! I thought it was genius.

I know that Lanvin isn't the only one who loves H&M. Like many others, I also love Lanvin loving H&M. Because for the past month or so, since the announcement, I've been highly anticipating and counting down the days until nov. 20. That's the day that Lanvin for H&M hits all major H&M locations!

Look at it! It looks so good already. And today, I came across a single photo that pretty much made my day. The preview to the collection isn't out until nov. 2, however, this picture is floating around, and it definitely is believed that it is a sneak peek at the campaign for Lanvin.

Look, it's Natasha Poly (far right). And for those who have seen the Natasha Poly commentary on the collection on the H&M website, her hair and makeup match the one in the video! And in the picture above, look how it matches the model in the far left? Excited? Beyond words.

Can we say ultra chic? Such versatile pieces.

You best believe I'm going to be camping out in front of my H&M. Can't wait!

It's Been a While

So it's been a while since my last post, since my summer, so much has happened.

Regardless, I have now relocated myself to a new city with new opportunities! I am currently in Montreal, Quebec - a city that surprisingly much different than Toronto (even though it's still a city)

Updates:

I have now found myself yet another internship, except this time, I'm working with a fashion PR company called, Fashion 4 Freedom. Just went to the first meeting on Saturday, very exciting stuff! We have a show coming up to promote Filthy Haanz during Halloweekend. That weekend is going to be hella amazing!

Speaking of Halloweekend, does anyone else have a costume idea yet? I think I have mine, it's going to be - well, let's just say interesting.

Got myself a job (regardless of the fact that I don't speak french, but I understand for the most part) at Forever 21. Excited to say the least.

I need to be venue hopping soon. Gotta find some gorgeous places to host future events. I refuse to conform! ...but isn't non-conformity conforming to the rebels? (clearly I'm thinking about my classes too much) How done am I with the same clubs being done time and time again?

I'm going to paint my nails grey now. My nail polishes never stay on, I think it's because of my laziness I don't base coat.

summer loving

I know it's been a long time since I updated, but hey! I've been busy. Busy is always good, I like the hustle and the bustle of the ever moving city, it keeps me breathing. I'm an on-the-go type, if I'm not doing anything, I wouldn't know what to do with myself.

Anyways, updates.

Today was the first day I started on the internship I scored with Individual by iclothing. Laura, the designer behind the brand is an amazingly talented person, with a fabulous personality. We ran around downtown looking for the perfect filigree ring and mid-tone sexy elegant (not sexy hoochie) nightie. Took forever, but task complete. I even bought a filigree ring myself, and paid half because she's using it as an option for the shoot tomorrow.

Wore the most spring/summery outfit today.

A white lace tank from Mexx, a soft pastel pink satin blazer from Costa Blanca, a pair of flowy floral shorts from the H&M Garden Collection, a silver multi-chain necklace from Suzy and a pair of tan suede lace up heels from Costa Blanca X.

My lace tank actually had ruffles in the front, but I didn't like it too much so I cut it off, and now, I love my tank - except it's too big for me, well, I'll fix that eventually.

And Laura gave me a piece from her f/w 2010 collection, it's absolutely gorgeous. I'll post a picture up later.

On another note, what did I find out last night? Well, TopShop is finally in Canada! They now ship and they opened a store within a store. They are selling at Jonathan + Olivia on Ossington! I'm definitely checking that out tomorrow.

Just Thinking

For me, I think it has always been about the little things. I mean big things are good too, but it's the little ones that means the most. What do I mean by that? Well, there are things in life that I really want. And they're not anything that's too materialistic or expensive at all. They are the things that only people who really care would do for you. Like there are some dreams I have that I don't know, I feel silly thinking about them, but, it's really something that would make me happy everytime I think of it.

One is that I've always wished that I could have flowers delievered to my school. I don't know, it's tacky, but just that whole movement seems so lovely. I just like packages. Like Fed Ex and DHL, I love packages. And if they're flowers, that's just perfect.

Another one is watching the sunset or sunrise. I have always wanted to drive out and watch the sun while drinking some hot chocolate and under a nice warm blanket. I know, it's very movie-like. But, it's just a dream right?

Those are two that I've really wanted. Oh well, it's ok. I feel like a hopeless romantic lately. I'm really craving those sweet gestures that just hasn't been quite a part of my life lately.

I shouldn't be thinking about such foolishness. I have a history thing due tomorrow and there's no coffee !

I BOUGHT A NEW MICHAEL KORS DRESS !!!
I'm actually that excited. Especially since it's because it was like 90% off!! So this will be a dress I wear in the daytime of graduation. And my evening one is superb gorg. as well. It's the nicest LBD that I've ever invested in. That was super good as well. I got it for 70% off! Oh how I love the sales of this time of the year.

On another note, I need to be ultra tanned soon! So.. I will tan and I will self-tanner. Apparently the Bath & Body one works wonders. I can't wait to try that out! And I scored a pair of Estee Lauder Sale Event Tickets !! Splurge on makeup and skincare tomorrow with my mom.

I love this stuff.

After I watched it, I loved it. It's kind of mysterious and eerie. It's one of those thinking pieces. Tell me what you think of it.

It's 6am, and I'm up doing work. I seriously need to work on time management. Nonetheless, I'm up doing my homework. Oh the last bits before I never have to touch high school work again.

I seriously so badly want a newer camera. I need one so that I can take snapshots.

Poloroid camera! That's right! They got new and improved!
Getting one for my summer would be ultra fun. I can have a collection of poloroids in my new room posted everywhere?

I love that it's only $90 too! And here I thought Poloroids were extinct. Makes me a little happier that they're still around, unlike the Dodo Bird.

It's either get something like this, or really save up and invest in a fancier camera. I mean, I would really like to explore the photographic arts. It's just so beautiful to be able to capture the finest moments in life.

Hmm.. lots to think about.

On the other hand, Luminato starts in two weeks! I still need to grab tickets for Prima Donna. It's a contemporary opera that is having its world premiere at Luminato! It incorporates both opera and fashion. Oh I'm so excited for it! I'm going to take my daddy with me to see it for Father's Day.
