This is a huge acrylic painting, titled "The Song of Days". It is a symbolic work, reminiscent of the Akashic record. I have had dreams of seeing writing on the air or in the water, so this is where my idea originated from. Whether it pertains to the evolution of life in the universe or is strictly my own fantasies, I have no idea - I just paint what comes to me. This painting is presently available on Picassomio.com.

This is a 36x24" painting titled "Lineage". It is painted with acrylics on stretched canvas (1 12x24 and 1 24x30") Price:$3025 or make me an offer. In the first picture you can't see the detail on the black piece, so I've included a side shot. There are thick ropes of acrylic here on the smaller piece - black on black. Its really quite an intriquing piece. I decided to show this artwork this morning because I seem to have "ancestry" on my mind - the long line of a family's descendants and the joys, trials and tribulations of life. Have any of you seen the movie, "Antonia's Line"? We just LOVED this one! Its a foreign film with subtitles, but very enjoyable nonetheless. There's Always One Bad Apple

This is one of my surreal oil paintings, 30x24" in size. It is titled, "There's Always One Bad Apple", in case you haven't already viewed it here in my eBay store. There's a funny story that goes with this painting: one day my husband brought three huge red apples home from the store with the other groceries. A couple of days later I decided I wanted to paint them because they had such interesting shapes and color. So I decided to line them up and paint a black mask on the lumpiest one. When my husband saw the painting, he chuckled and said, "can I eat one now"? This is just like one of the stories about Matisse in his early married life, except his wife was starving while she waited for the painting to be finished. Anyway, he bit into the big, lumpy apple and got the strangest look on his face. He said, "look at this - its whole center is rotted out till its hollow"! My reply, of course, was "well, I TOLD you that was one bad apple"!

This is a 36x24" triptych which is available here in my eBay store. It is painted in rich colors of red-browns and blacks, reminiscent of antique furniture and boardrooms, with textured geometric shapes in ivory and gold. It would lend a very elegant touch to that special room or office, I think.

Not sure why, maybe its because all the awful news stories are getting to me, but I decided to post my painting, "Mariah 2, Apocalypto", this morning. I haven't yet shown this painting anywhere, so you my friends, get to be the first to see it! I have to admit that its a little strange, yet I think, strangely beautiful. Any comments? The second painting is one that I've already sold, "Mariah I".

Two Faces Have I

This is one of my original abstracts - 30x24" on stretched canvas - called "Two Faces Have I". It was inspired by the words of a song which periodically recycle through my head. "Two faces have I.....One to laugh and one to cry...". Wasn't it Janus, one of the Greek Gods, who had two faces? If I'm mistaken, I'm sure someone will let me know! Music often inspires my art, as do dreams , shadows, wall textures, the pattern on the floor of my bathroom....you name it. Everything inspires me. Anyway, for those of you who haven't already discovered it, this painting can be seen here on eBay .
