I majored in Design Arts and while my professors were an influence on who I am today from four years ago, a big reason why I am the type of designer I am today is because of the people who have inspired me along the way.

Especially if you have been paying attention to my last couple of posts, my “30 Days of Sketches” project hasn’t been updated. This is where I’m going to start laying on the excuses thicker than maple syrup in January.

Excuse #1
Some of the things I have been sketching need to be kept confidential. I know I could leak them but I did sign a non disclosure agreement with a client and I honor that. Majority of my sketches have come from this project so it is hard to share much. A sneak peak of what the sketches have amounted to can be found either on my Forrst or Dribbble page.

My dog, Baxster, ate all of my remaining sketches?

Excuse #3
I’m graduating in the next week and things have been pretty hectic trying to get things ready and finished. Never have I been so paranoid about what I’m going to do after I’m done with school.

Excuse #4
Here is the main reason why I just haven’t been updating my… well, probably very small audience (thanks to the ones that do read my posts). As of Monday I have received a job with Intridea as a User Interface Designer. The job as of right now is a two month contract in which I need to prove that I wasn’t bullshitting my way through the interview process. If I can make it through the two months with out screwing up then my chances of being offered a full-time job are high.

I’m very excited about my opportunity with Intridea and can’t wait to really get into some of their projects they are working on. They are a well structure company that realizes the direction the web is heading. I know I will learn a lot and benefit from working with them. I hope you guys can forgive me for not updating my blog these past couple of weeks. I’ll make a stronger effort to contribute more information about me and hopefully some helpful resources. See you next time fools!

Two days into his ’30 Days of Sketches’ and he has already given up. I admit I haven’t posted my sketches the last couple of days and their is good reason for that.

First, I have been continuing to sketch and you’ll see below the next 7 sketches for this project. The truth is I have been consumed by a current project that includes countless wireframes and a challenging sitemap to build from the ground up.

No excuses, I should be keeping up so with my apologies take a look at the next 7, give me some feedback, and stay tuned for more to come in a more timely manner… promise!

Above is a project for one of my past design classes at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay that involved creating our own snowboard brand. Along with a custom snowboard design we had to also create a company brand and apparel. I called this snowboard Passion because it contains objects that I was… well, very passion about at the time.
