In fact at any one time 80% of the adult population has back pain and it's a fair guess that everyonelse sooner or later will experience back pain. With all the ways to treat back pain from taking an aspirin and going to bed to surgery it's important to know that most of these treatments only treat the pain but do not cure it.

So it was refreshing and exciting when I found out about The Healthy Back Insititute and it's founder Jesse Cannon. As a former athletic coach I have always believe in the benefits of exercise, but was ignorant of the specific exercises that would cure my back pain. Fortunately Jesse has put together a system that cures back pain. The Lose The Back Pain System works! It has helped over 40,000 people cure their aching backs.

NOW Jesse has put together a Book "THE 7 DAY BACK PAIN CURE", which he is offering for FREE!. Heres what is in the book and why you need to read it.

You'll learn about several highly effective treatments that you likely have never heard about — and you'll never hear about these from your doctor...

You'll find out which treatment combination is right for your specific situation — no more generic recommendations like the sheet of exercises the doctor gives to anyone who comes to see him with back pain...

You'll learn about our unique system for identifying all of the factors that are causing your pain so you can treat more than just the symptoms...

By the time you're done reading this book you'll know more about back pain that most doctors do — and this is no joke!

You get Jesse's "7-Day Action Plans" which tell you exactly what you need to do, in step-by-step order based on the condition you are dealing with...

You can't find this information anywhere else! No one has ever put all of the pieces together...

Most "experts" are specialists and so all they tell you about is why their specialty is "the only" thing that will work for you... please! In this book I cover everything and put it all together in an easy to understand way.

You'll get better results — faster... and if your pain ever returns you'll know exactly what to do to nip it in the bud.

Thousands of people all over the world have used the information in this book to finally get rid of their pain... and these people had tried it all and nothing worked until this...

You owe it to yourself to get this FREE 7 DAY BACK PAIN CURE book. This is a limited offer. You have nothing to lose but your back pain! Click on the picture of the book in the right hand side of this page NOW!

OOPS! I almost forgot to mention for every who takes advantage of this free offer Jesse donates money to Habitat For Humanity. What a DEAL a FREE BOOK and a donatation. What are you waiting for!

Losing The Back Pain Update: The above picture is a photo of your's truely. This picture was taken a few days after my sixty-fifth birthday last September. Now I am not auditioning for American Idol or a part in an up coming "Twilight" movie. The point of the picture is to show that I walk the talk. At sixty-five I am healthy and strong. I am still working full time and with commuting my work day averages twelve hours.

Three years ago I was not the picture of health. I was suffering from a herniated disc receiving physical therapy and dealing with constant pain. After back surgery I had hope that the pain would go away. Unfortunately the pain persisted even though the surgery was "successful".

It was only after taking charge of my own health and learning about the Lose The Back Pain System that I finally regain my health and live pain free. Believe me you owe it to yourself to try the system (BEFORE UNDERGOING THE KNIFE!). Back surgery should be your obsolute last resort when all else fails! Back Surgery is not a cure all, there is no guarantee that you will be pain free.

The great thing about the Lose The Back Pain System is that it is customized for your specific back condition. You also have the benefit of one on one consulation with a trained professional. Jesse Cannon and his staff have helped thousands to lose their back pain for good.

Up until November of 2008 I was a healthy and physically fit 63 year old male. So I didn't give it much thought when I lifted a box out of the back of my van. However while lifting the bottom of the box broke. Instinctively I tried to grab the box before it hit the floor and that is when I felt a pain in my lower back which shot down my right leg. At the time I thought it was a muscle pull. Little did I know that this “muscle pull” would result in months of physical therapy, surgery, lost work and lots of back pain.

While recovering from surgery I stumbled upon The Healthy Back Institute. By following their system "The Lose The Back Pain System" I have recovered my health, strength and best of all the pain has gone. Sure if I do a lot of physical work or drive for long periods of time I still get a slight cramp in my leg. But now I know what to do!

The Healthy Back Institute has helped thousands lose their back pain and avoid surgery. I am sure they can help you. Their website is filled with free information, videos, etc and they have a free newsletter loaded with more info on how to relieve your aching back.

I firmly believe that if I had found The Lose The Back Pain System months earlier I could have avoided months of pain, surgery and physical therapy. The bottom line is the program works! Since then I have been telling anyone who suffers from back pain to contact The Healthy Back Institute and learn about their program. This blog is my way of spreading the news. Visit their links that I have provided.

The great thing about The Healthy Back Institute is they provide tons of free articles, info, videos and exercises FREE on their website. If all you did was use the free stuff you will see amazing results. They even let you try there system for only $4.95! The Lose The Back System has helped thousands lose the back pain and get their lives back! The Lose The Back Pain System is based on the proven principle of Muscle Imbalance.

The Healthy Back Institute individualizes their program to your specific need and they follow it up with one on one coaching.
So I if like me you suffer from any form of back pain, sciatica or a herniated disc and are sick and tired of the pain controlling your life, then the first thing you need to do is Click Here.

Advil... Aleve... Bayer... Celebrex... Demerol... Motrin... Naproxen... Oxycontin... Percocet... Tylenol... Ultram... Vicodin... Find Out Which Are Safe and Which Can Be Deadly...

When you think of dangerous drugs, what comes to mind first? Heroin?... Cocaine?... LSD?...

... How about pain pills?

Adverse drug reactions even while in the hospital affect more than 1 in 10 patients. And they’re responsible for a staggering number of deaths. In fact, adverse drug reactions are now the fourth leading cause of death in the United States. Only heart disease, cancer, and stroke kill more Americans every year.

Pain medications are the fastest category of killer medicines … and it doesn’t matter whether they are prescription or over-the-counter.

What does this mean to you?

It means your risk of dying from that pain medicine in your cabinet could be higher than your chance of dying from diabetes, lung disease, or even an accident – unless you take heed to this special report.
The results of our investigation are shocking... But they could save your life.

Dangerous Pain Medicine #5: Salicylates (Aspirin) Common names: aspirin, acetylsalicylate

Aspirin (acetylsalicylate) and other drugs based on salicylic acid are commonly thought of as a relatively harmless medicine. Besides its use for headaches, fevers, minor aches and pains, and even as a miracle heart protector (aspirin a day anyone?)… aspirin has a dark side.

While a minimal dose (75-81mg) is regularly spoken of by doctors as a low risk intervention, even the lowest dose can cause bleeding. Higher doses or prolonged use at the lower dose – even in buffered or coated form – can double your likelihood of perforated ulcers and gastrointestinal bleeding.

Aspirin and other salicylate based medicines have also been linked to the deadly disease Reye’s Syndrome which can attack at any age. Research shows 90-95% of Reye’s Syndrome cases were preceded by taking aspirin during a viral illness. The disease devastates internal organs, particularly the brain and liver, and at least 10% of those affected will die even with early treatment.

Dangerous Pain Medicine #4: Acetaminophen

Common names: Tylenol, acetaminophen

Every year, more than 56,000 Americans will visit the emergency room due to acetaminophen overdoses. It’s the leading cause of calls to Poison Control Centers. And it’s also by far the leading cause of acute liver failure, causing nearly half of all cases.

For decades, Tylenol was considered the “doctor’s choice” for safe pain relieving, fever reducing medicine. But now even the higher end of the recommended dosage range has now been associated with liver damage. But the facts show it’s a dangerous drug.

Unfortunately, with Tylenol and generic acetaminophen lining the shelves and filling the bottles of pain medicines for every age in virtually every home… coupled with it’s perceived low risk… most victims never knew how dangerous the drug they were taking is.

Besides acute liver toxicity, acetaminophen is also associated with nausea, abdominal pain, unusual bleeding and bruising, and severe allergic reactions. Some of these also result in death.

Dangerous Pain Medicine #3: Opiates

Common names: Vicodin, Lorcet, Norco, Percocet, Percodan, hydrocodone, oxycodone

16,000...

That’s the number of people who died in the United States in one recent year from drug overdoses. Most of those deaths were from opiates.

In the year examined, 2002, heroin and cocaine deaths had both increased over the preceding three year period (by 12.4% and 22.8%), yet deaths from prescription opiate overdoses had nearly doubled.

Why all the sudden overdoses? While opiates are among the most effective pain relieving medicines, they’re also highly addicting.

Once people get hooked on them some will do literally anything for another pill.

Opiates carry numerous side effects including severe constipation leading to ruptured bowels, blocked bowels or sepsis… severe respiratory depression, confusion, coma, and complete cardiac arrest.

But that’s not all…

Almost every opiate prescription now includes a high dose of acetaminophen in the same tablet, meaning as you take your medicine you increasingly endanger your liver. Mixing prescription and over the counter medicines which both contain acetaminophen has led to numerous accidental overdoses.

The FDA finally moved in January 2011 to limit how much acetaminophen is included in these combined opiate / acetaminophen drugs due to all the liver failures, but the risk remains very high.

Dangerous Pain Medicine #2: NSAIDs

Common names: Advil, Aleve, ibuprofen, naproxen

Do you have some kind of chronic pain? Arthritis... back pain... neck pain... something else?

If you haven’t already graduated to prescription drugs, chances are you’ve been taking one of the common NSAIDs like ibuprofen or naproxen to deal with the pain. Many of them available over the counter in virtually any grocery store or gas station much less in a pharmacy.

And speaking of chances...

The odds of dying from taking a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug after just two months is around 1 in 1,200.

We’re talking at least 16,500 deaths every year!

As far back as 1991 respected medical journals were calling into question the safety of these common over the counter medicines as over 20,000 people were known to be hospitalized even then – with at least 2,600 deaths each year.

Other estimates of 10,000 to 20,000 deaths place the risk of dying of a NSAID-related side effect as likely as dying of AIDS or Hodgkin’s disease.

The biggest known risk of NSAIDs is from gastrointestinal ulcers and bleeding. Again, we’re not talking about a little tummy ache here, but severe bleeding and possibly death after the medicine destroys your gut. And that’s not the only known risk.

Recent research shows NSAIDs may also cause congestive heart failure with death rates that could equal those from gastrointestinal complications making this common drug twice as deadly as we thought.

Dangerous Pain Medicine #1: Cox-2 Inhibitors

Common names: Celebrex, celecoxib

How would you like to triple your risk of heart attack? Just pick up a prescription of Celebrex.

While studying the drug’s potential as an anti-cancer drug, the National Cancer Institute discovered it dramatically increased their patient’s risk of dying from heart attack or stroke. Those taking 400mg doses had 2.5 times greater risk while those taking the 800mg doses has 3.4 times as much risk.

Celebrex is one of the most popular drugs to fight arthritis pain with as many as 27 million arthritis sufferers picking up prescriptions of it in the United States alone. Just take a look at the black box warning on the side of the package warning of cardiovascular and gastrointestinal problems… then do yourself a favor and just set the box back down.

This special form of NSAID is just not worth the risk.

When I first read these statistics, it shocked me to my very core. I personally haven't taken these types of pain medications for years now... and I felt the need to share this information with you.

I will never forget the date: November 23, 2009, the day that changed my life. Up to that day I was a healthy and physically fit 63 year old male. I worked for a small distributor as a sale person, but being a small company I did many other tasks not in my sales job description.

One of my other "jobs" was helping load and unload the trucks and vans that delivered products to our warehouse. I actually enjoyed the physical work of lifting, loading and unloading items. It broke up the day and gave me some exercise.

Unfortunately on Monday November 23 rd my days of doing manual labor ended. While lifting a box out of the van the bottom of the box broke. Instinctively I tried to grab the item before it hit the floor and that is when I felt a pain in my lower back which shot right down my right leg.

At the time I thought it was a muscle pull. Little did I know that this “muscle pull” would result in months of physical therapy, surgery, lost work and lots of PAIN.

Several months after surgery I stumbled upon The Healthy Back Institute. By following their system “Lose The Back Pain” I have recovered my health, strength and best of all the pain has gone.

I firmly believe that if I had found The Lose The Back System months earlier I could have avoided months of pain, surgery and physical therapy. The bottom line is the program works! So I if like me you suffer from any form of back pain, sciatica or a herniated disc and are sick and tired of the pain controlling your life, then the first thing you need to do is Click Here.

The great thing about The Healthy Back Institute is they provide tons of free articles, info, videos and exercises FREE on their website. If all you did was use the free stuff you will see amazing results. Below is information on The Lose The Back System and why it has helped thousands lose the back pain and get their lives back! The Lose The Back Pain System is based on the proven principle of Muscle Imbalance.

WHAT IS MUSCLE IMBALANCE?

Chances are, you have never heard of muscle imbalances and worse you don't even know that your own muscles are out of balance. But the reality is that everyone has muscle imbalances to some degree - regardless of age, sex, or level of fitness. No one is perfect. And even if you did manage to achieve perfection, you could not stay there for long.

In simple terms, a muscle imbalance occurs when you have overdeveloped and tight muscles in one area of your body while the opposing muscles are weak and stretched out of their normal position. These imbalances can happen anywhere on the body and often develop as the result of the routine things you do while on the job, playing sports, or engaging in other activities you enjoy.

Here are just a few conditions that can develop as a result of muscle imbalances: IT band syndrome, SI joint syndrome, sciatica, frozen shoulder, hip pain and all forms of back pain.

CLICK HERE TO LOSE YOUR BACK PAIN

Why People Have Muscle Pain...

As your muscles get more and more out of balance, you end up pulling your self out of proper alignment thus producing uneven more stress and causing additional wear and tear on muscles, ligaments, joints, and even the spine.

Almost all of us live our lives with chronic unrecognized muscular imbalances and while it does take time for muscle imbalances to cause a symptomatic condition the first signs of trouble are evident on our bodies in the form of “postural dysfunctions”. Postural dysfunction can be seen in the abnormal position on the pelvis, head, neck, shoulder and even in the curvature of the spine.

Once a postural dysfunction has developed, your body cannot go on for long this way before you will begin to experience problems. That is why you should never just cover up the pain or put off addressing your condition. In other words, if you are in your 40s, don't wait until you're 60's to decide you have a problem.

Try this analogy: If you drive your car with the wheels out of alignment, the tread on your tires is going to wear unevenly. If you don't get an alignment, eventually you're going to have a blowout. The same principle holds true for your back and other areas of your body.

Here's a simple overview: If your core muscles are out of balance - from a strength versus flexibility perspective - front to back or side to side, you will have at least one postural dysfunction (most people have more than one). What happens when your core muscles are out of balance is that your pelvis will be pulled out of its normal position. Because the pelvis is the base of the spine and controls the position and curvature of the spine, your spine will then go into abnormal curvature. Abnormal curvature of the spine is the root of all back pain - whether it's a pulled back muscle, herniated disc, spinal stenosis, SI joint syndrome, spondylolisthesis, and the list goes on.

What is Muscle Balance Therapy™?

Muscle Balance Therapy is an innovative approach to eliminating back pain once and for all, starting with a careful yet simple assessment of all the muscles that affect the stability of your hips, pelvis, and spine - from both a strength and a flexibility perspective.

We use both physical and visual assessments to insure accuracy. In other words, the physical should confirm the visual, and the visual should confirm the physical. In the absence of these assessments, any exercise you might try is going to put you at risk of strengthening a muscle that does not need to be strengthened, which can make your condition worse. The same is true for stretching - if you stretch a muscle that does not need to be stretched, you could be doing more harm than good.

Once your assessments are done, you will have proved to yourself that you do have muscle imbalances and that you have one or more postural dysfunctions. You also will have learned the root cause of your condition. Best of all, you will know exactly how to correct the problem.

Click Here to Use Muscle Balance Therapy NOW to get rid of Back Pain and Sciatica FAST!!

How Muscle Balance Therapy™ works

The Muscle Balance Therapy™ approach uses the results of your assessments to design an individually targeted program of corrective exercises to help take the stress off your muscles, joints, and ligaments so you can achieve a more balanced body and eliminate the cause of your pain.

In a sense, what Muscle Balance Therapy™ is asking you to do is a very "unbalanced workout" to get your body back into proper balance. Once your muscles are more balanced and you're feeling better, you will be able to return to your workplace or to your favorite activity with the confidence and security that you need to live a full and productive life.

Before you decide that Muscle Balance Therapy™ is right for you, understand that you will have to commit yourself to doing the work required. Because when it comes right down to it, you are the only one who can bring about the results you want. And even if your condition is so severe that you do not achieve 100 percent pain relief, you will see significant improvement with Muscle Balance Therapy™.

Keep in mind that while you may be able to mask back pain temporarily with drugs and other treatments, the underlying problem is still going to be there. That's why it is essential that you work on first identifying and then addressing your muscle imbalances. Muscle Balance Therapy™ was designed to do both and has produced amazing results.
Here thanks to Jesse cannon of Lose The Back Pain System is a brief refresher course.

Back pain can have many causes, such as a pulled back muscle, disc problems, arthritis, or sacroiliac joint dysfunction. In cases where there has not been a definitive diagnosis, the next question that should be asked is: How long have you been suffering? Your pain will fall into one of two categories: acute (which indicates a recent occurrence) or chronic (the pain has been with you for an extended period of time).

Click Here For More Free Information!

What causes it?
The two most common reasons for back pain are trauma and muscle imbalances. Muscle imbalances can have a negative effect on your posture, leading to what are called "postural dysfunctions." These dysfunctions include abnormal alignment of the pelvis and abnormal curvature of the spine. This misalignment causes increased wear and tear on the joints, muscles, and ligaments—even the discs.

The most important thing to understand about any lower back pain is that, barring trauma, it doesn't happen overnight. You may be come symptomatic very quickly, but it takes a long time for the condition to get to the point where your back finally gives way and becomes painful.

What are the symptoms?
The majority of the complaints range from local pain to radiating pain in the legs or arms, depending on where the herniation is located.

Back pain that causes loss of bowel or bladder control is deemed a medical emergency, so anyone who experiences either of these symptoms should get to the ER as quickly as possible.

What are the most common treatments?
Cortisone injections and prescriptions for muscle relaxants or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are the most common treatments employed by physicians.

Chiropractors and physical therapists usually offer spinal mobilization, hot packs, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and therapeutic exercises.

Surgery should always be your last option and should only be considered if the severity of your condition warrants it.

Why do traditional treatments fail?
Most traditional treatments fail because they simply address the symptoms and fail to address the cause of the condition. Your low back pain is a physical problem, and it requires a physical solution. There are no pills or injections that can restore postural balance in your body because they are unable to take the pressure off the nerve or make the joints work better.

Which treatments work best?
When you have lower back pain and you do not have a proper diagnosis the first suggestion is to seek proper medical attention. Even then there are cases when a proper diagnosis is not given, in that case a conservative approach should be considered.

The use of ice (first 48 hrs) and or heat (after 48hrs) can help control inflammation, pain and stiffness, other natural approaches including enzyme therapy can be of benefit to help control the symptom of the condition.

In most cases of lower back pain, tigger points will play a small roll, Trigger Points do three things, them make a muscle (tight, weak and painful) so daily trigger point therapy is recommended immediately combined with muscle balances therapy, in order to restore a more neutral and balanced posture.

Inversion Therapy can also be very effective in releasing some of the stress and compressive forces on the spine not to mention the many numerous health benefits. Top 5 Causes of Back, Neck and Sciatic Pain (From Jesse Cannon at The Healthy Back Institute.)Click Here!

1. Excess Stress / Negative Beliefs

Yes, this is #1 on the list and while many people doubt or question it, excess stress and negative beliefs are what keep most people in pain.

2. Muscle Imbalances

Imbalances in our muscles create what we call dysfunctions… basically, the muscles pull your body out of alignment (not just your spine) and your body is forced to function like this and eventually it breaks down.3. Spinal Compression / Torsion

Another major physical cause of back related conditions and pain is, spinal compression and torsion. The muscle imbalances pull your spine out of alignment and create excess curvature and this places increased pressure on the discs… Click Here!

4. Trigger Points

Often responsible for much of the undiagnosed pain people experience, trigger points are a major factor when it comes to back, neck and sciatic pain…

Trigger points are complex and there are many things that contribute to their development… and to make it worse, they often cause pain in other parts of the body. For example, a trigger point in the gluteal can cause pain in the lower leg.

5. Nutritional Imbalances

Yes, what you eat can help you heal or it can keep you in pain. Not only are there specific foods that create inflammation, but imbalances in minerals and nutrients are a major factor…

For example, you can have too much calcium and not enough magnesium and this can create calcification (stenosis, bone spurs, etc)… Keep in mind this is just one example… there are many others.

So here’s a quick list of foods to avoid:

- Sugar
- Wheat
- Dairy
- Artificial flavors / colors

And here are some foods/nutrients to eat more of:

- Omega-3 Fatty Acids (fish or supplement)
- Spices (Ginger, Tumeric)
- Antioxidants (vitamin C, selenium, quercetin)
- Vitamin D

Heffron reports that the New England Journal of Medicine just reported it.

They published a study in which researchers performed an MRI on 98 people who had no back pain. And the researchers found that nearly two thirds of them actually had some kind of abnormal disk condition!!!

The researchers conclude:

"Many people without back pain have disk bulges or protrusions... Given the high prevalence of these findings and of back pain, the discovery by MRI of bulges or protrusions in people with low back pain may frequently be coincidental."¹

That's right. They called having a bulging or protruded disc and having back pain a coincidence. Proof positive that you can have a condition and not have pain. Indeed, there are millions of people with existing back problems right now who do not even know that they have the condition and surely don't have any pain at all. Soft tissues pain is inflammation of tissues like muscles due to injury. Inflammation is your body' natural relation to trauma Click Here! . When these inflammed tissues swell they usually press on nerves. This causes a second type of pain, nerve pain. If you are experiencing back pain chances you are dealing with both soft tissue and nerve pain.

So if you have sciatica, herniated disc, spinal stenois your pain is probably mixed pain, a combination of soft tissue and nerve pain. An example of this is when you experience pain running down your leg. This is your sciatic nerve sending pain signals to your brain. This was the problem I was experiencing. Even though I had a ruptured disc in my back the disc was pressing against my sciatic nerve and the pain I felt was down my leg despite the injury being in my lower back.

Do your back muscles ache? Then you are experiencing some kind of soft tissue injury, inflammation and pain. Maybe from all the snow shoveling. The only way to get rid of the pain is to eliminate the inflammation. If you are experiencing numbness, shooting pain and/or burning then it's your nerves that are fired up because the surrounding tissue is inflamed.

Eliminating the inflammation will reduce and/or stop the nerve pain. To correct this problem it's important to look at the underlying causes. Frequently soft tissue inflammation is the result of muscle imbalance. Correcting this imbalance will reduce the inflamation and stop the pain. One of the best programs specifically design to address muscle imbalance is the "Lose The Back Pain System" Click Here! by the Healthy Back Institute. Through a series of exercises custom designed for your specific back pain, muscles are realigned. As the study by the American Journal of Roentgenology points out 80% of back pain suffers have soft tissue inflammation. These people can be helped by treated the inflammation with a program of proper physical therapy.

I came across the ancient chinese practice of Chi-qonq or Qigong while looking for alternative back pain treatments. Wikipedia defines Qigong as follows:Qigong (or ch'i kung) is an internal Chinese meditative practice which often uses slow graceful movements and controlled breathing techniques to promote the circulation of qi within the human body, and enhance a practitioner's overall health. There are also many forms of Qigong that are done with little or no movement at all, in standing, sitting and supine positions; likewise, not all forms of Qigong use breath control techniques.

In its simplest form, the Chinese character for qi, in qigong, can mean air, breath, or "life force". Gong means work, so qigong is therefore the practice of "working" with ones "life force". There are more than 10,000 styles of qigong and 200 million people practicing these methods. There are three main reasons why people do qigong: 1) To gain strength, improve health or reverse a disease 2) To gain skill working with qi, so as to become a healer 3) To become more connected with the "Tao, God, True Source, Great Spirit", for a more meaningful connection with nature and the universe. Source: http://en.wikipedia.org">

All this sounds great. But does it relieve the pain of an aching back? Well with any treatment from surgery to Chi-gong there is no guarantee. However the exercises are gentle, slow movements that seem to have many benefits beyong relieving back pain.
No greater an authority than Dr. Oz (You may have seen him on Oprah.) Devotes a whole chapter to Chi-gong in his book "Staying Young".Visit his website @ http://www.realage.com/the-you-docs/you-staying-young/chi-gong-workout for Qigong exercises. I have been doing these for about two weeks and feel they have help me increase flexibility and reduce pain and tightness. Of course with any exercise program it's important to tell your doctor. One program that has a track record of success is "The Lose The Back Pain System" by The Healthy Back Institute. After three months of recovery, therapy and exercising I returned to work on August 1st. Now three months after returning to work I feel great. It did take a while to get use to being up and about and having to sit a desk and drive to my clients offices. However I have continued with my exercise program and tried to walk each day.

The important thing is to move every fifteen to thirty minutes. It's easy to sit at a desk and work for an hour or two without moving. But if you do you'll be stiff and achy. Getting up and walking around a little or doing some simple stretches can really help.

There are many resources on the web that can help you deal with your back pain. For my money The Lose The Back Pain System by The Healthy Back Institute is the best. When you visit their website you'll countless videos and articles that can help you eliminate your back pain and the best thing is they are all free! Plus you can subscribe to their free newsletter.
Click Here For More Free Info! take the first step towards being pain free.

I also discovered that there are several advantages to using inversion tables besides pain management. Below are a list of the benefits as you can see inversion tables are not just for your aching back.

1. Your circulation is improved: By inverting your body you are working with gravity to increase circulation. Inverting also helps the lymphatic system clear itself faster.

2. Slows down /prevents height shrinkage: Aging causes your spinal column to shrink as disc lose flexibility and elasticity. Regular use of an inversion table stretches your spine and helps to maintain your height.

3. Inverting is a great stress reliever: Like yoga inverting stretches joints, relaxing your body and helping you sleep.

4. Inverting sharpens your mind: Using an inversion table causes an increase supply of oxygen to the brain increasing mental sharpness.

5. Inversion helps your joints: Regular use of an inversion table helps keep your joints stay healthy and supple allowing you to maintain a more youthful lifestyle.

6. Better posture: Inverting and reversing the directional pull of gravity enables you to stand, move and sit comfortable.

7. Great for after a workout: Activities like golf, bowling, running, tennis etc can compress your spine and pull your spine out of alignment. Inverting naturally corrects minor misalignment's and helps you recover better from other activities.

All in all inversion tables definitely have their place in not only pain management but in overall health and fitness. Check with your local health club and see if they have inversion tables. If they not encourage the to buy some. Or consider investing in one for your own use.Click Here For More Free Info!

Especially when the needle looks like something you would use on a horse instead of a human. But if a spinal injections can stop the back pain and let me return to a normal life I am ready to try it. If this sounds like you and you are desperately seeking a way to stop your back from aching then read on.

So exactly what is a spinal injection? Basically a needle is inserted into the epidural space surrounding your vertebra and a solution of anti-inflammation medication and or steroid is injected into the space. The idea is to block the pain, give you some relief and give your doctor a better idea of what the problem is. Although not as invasive as surgery there are risks and you should discuss these with your doctor.Click Here For More Free Info!

EFT stands for emotional freedom therapy. Basically you tap with your fingers on key meridans located on your body. I find that it helps when I have some aches and feel crampy after a long day at work. I have also used it for other things like boosting energy, helping to settle down and get a good night's sleep.

The great thing about tapping is it's easy to learn, you can do it yourself, there's lots of free info and there are no side affects. The best source is http://www.emofree.com give it a try. Click Here For More Back Pain Relief Tips!

I wanted to post this from the "Lose The Back Pain" Newsletter. At 84 years old, Wayne Wall is back on the tennis court and I wanted to share with you his recent comments:

"As a result of far infrared heat applications and the stretches you recommended, my sciatica is no longer troubling me and I am again playing tennis 5 times a week at age 84. Thank you!"

Wayne Wall

That's great... and that's just from our free videos... Wayne's not even a customer yet! So don't make the mistake so many others do and under estimate the effectiveness of the things we teach you...

Pretty amazing I just hope I'm alive at 84. Being able to play tennis would be amazing. (Especially considering I never could play the game!) This shows how great the lose the Back Pain Program is and how willing they are to share free info. Click on their link and begin receiving the same info that Wayne Wall is getting. Lose The Back Pain System

Now I know what you are thinking - You are saying to yourself wait a minute I thought stretching was great for a bad back. Doesn't stretching relax and strengthen my muscles? Doesn't it relieve pain? Aren't stretching exercises the first thing all athletes do before beginning and event like running, swimming, etc.?

The answer is yes. But consider is: Are these types of stretches the ones I should be doing to stop my pain? The answer is no. I know this is frustrating and probably makes you angry. If, like me you have suffered from pain caused by a herniated disc or other back problems you are probably going through a treatment program for your back pain. Right now you are working with a chiropractor or physical therapist, or trying your own exercise program (Yoga, Pilates, pumping iron at the gym, etc.), and not getting relief. Like me you want relief from your pain now! Let me share with you a widely known "secret."

The secret is "Knowledge is Power". Understanding your situation and the condition of your back will enable you to get better care and faster results. The second part of the secret is you have to be your own advocate. By doing this you have more control. The problem is the person working with you may be a caring dedicated professional but they simply don't have the time to share with you everything they know. I realized this myself when I started physical therapy after my back surgery. After a few sessions I began to realize that everyone else at the clinic was doing the same exercises. Regardless of age, sex, health, etc, we all started with the same stretching exercises!

Being a Little more assertive than some I started asking questions. The therapist was patient and explained that these exercises were shown to be effective in most cases and designing custom programs for each patient would be too time consuming. Here's the problem with most stretching movements - they generally work one muscle group against another. For example: The therapist may tell you that your hamstrings are tight and begins to stretch them. But what he/she fails to do is to take other body imbalances into consideration. Failure to consider these imbalances may cause you more harm than good. Click Here For More back Pain relief Tips!

The answer is yes! If you are experiencing a sore back an ice massage maybe just what the doctor ordered. If you are like me and have played a lot of sports you know that coaches usually carry several packets of "instant ice" in their first aid kits.

When there is an injury on the field the first thing a coach reaches for is an ice pack. The coach quickly activates the package placing it directly on the injured area. The ice does several things:

1. It reduces the swelling and inflammation.

2. It temporarily relieves the pain by stopping pain signals to your brain.

3. Prevents damage to injured tissue.

Now if you have a sore back you don't need a fancy ice packet. Just crush some ice, put it in a ziplock bag, wrap it in a towel and place on your sore back. Limit the ice to about ten minutes. Even a bag of frozen peas will work if you are in a rush.

To further improve on using ice to relieve your sore back try an ice massage. Simply take your bag of frozen peas or ice pack, place on the injured area and move it in a circular monition around the sore muscle. Don't put the ice directly on your skin, always have some protective cloth, towel or clothing between the ice an skin. Ice massage is a quick, free and effective way to quickly bring relief to your aching back.

However ice massage does not get at the root cause of your pain. For that you need a program or system that addresses the underlying cause of your pain/injury. Many times the real causes are weak muscles and/or muscle imbalance. Click Here For More back Pain Relef Tips!

A little tried after not being constantly on my feet and of course putting in a 12 hour day (includes 2 1/2 hour roundtrip commute) does wear you out, but all in all not a bad week.

Several things helped in my recovery from a herniated disc and surgery:

1. A skilled and caring surgeon: My advice to you is find the best available. One who does a lot of surgeries and is well known in your area.

2. Great physical therapist: Same advice as for your surgeon. Also I stayed away from some of the larger physical therapist companies and went would a locally own business. Not that a larger compay wouldn't give me good service, I just prefer dealing with someone that has a real stake in the community and business.

3. Sticking to a recovery plan and not rushing things. Healing takes time. It important to understand that you will have some good days and bad days. But with time the bad days are few.

4. losing weight: I lost ten pounds which has made me feel better and have more energy. I plan to lose another ten more.

5. Following a program of exercise and the information available @ the Healthy Back InstituteClick Here!" My only regret is not finding out about them before my surgery. Now that I have found them I intend to stick to their program.

As my therapist says I'm a work in progress. My goals are to continue to improve my strength, energy level and live pain feel. I can't wait to be able to ride my bike and kayak with my wife.

New techniques in surgery enable most of us to have a procedure that would have required days in the hospital to now be performed as an outpatient operation. Surgeons for the most part are highly skilled and caring professional. But there are things a surgeon won't tell you when it comes to an operation and in this case a back surgery.

1. Many back surgeries fail to relieve the pain and discomfort. There is even a name for it "Failed Back Surgery Syndrome". This is where the pain returns even though the surgery was a "mechanical success". This was the case with my operation.

2. Risk of infection: My friend had the same procedure I had and was pain free afterward (Lucky Guy!) However a few days later he was back in the hospital with a severe infection (Not so lucky!) and had to endure another more complicated operation. He has recovered, but if the infection wasn't treated quickly it could have led to major complications.

3. Nerve damage: The surgeon is cutting very close to major nerves in your body a slight knick can cause paralysis.

4. Bone chip and other debris: During an operation, especially if the surgeon is removing part of the vertebrae, minute bone chips and other debris are created - if this isn't completely removed it can cause problems later.

5. Anesthesia complications: All surgeries have the risk of complications from anesthesia. Nausea and vomiting can occur as a reaction to an anesthesia. The tube inserted in the throat can can irritation.

6. Blood Clots

7. Bleeding

It's obvious that you need to have a serious talk with your doctor and make sure he covers and completely answers all your questions. After all it's your body. I believe it is also critical to explore other non-surgical, natural treatments and cures before undergoing the knife. There are proven and effective non-invasive treatment programs and systems.

One of the top rated programs is called the Lose The Back Pain System developed by therapists and doctors of the Healthy back Institute. This program has helped thousands by strengthening muscles and eliminating muscles imbalance.
