Unfortunately, even after the breakouts stop the remnants remain. Thanks to research and technology, there are quite a few acne scar treatment options available to diminish and even erase acne scars away. Treating acne scars can be quite pricey depending on what type of acne scar treatment is recommended for you by your dermatologist. For old acne scars that resulted from a more severe case of acne, several acne scar treatments or a combination thereof, may be required to get the desired results. A professional dermatologist is the most knowledgeable about what types of acne scar treatments are best, and can make recommendations on how to get rid of those acne scars forever!

Most acne scar treatments require clear skin before treatment begins, so this is the first issue that must be addressed. If you haven't done it already, make an appointment with your dermatologist to get started. Every person must be evaluated individually and treated on a case by case basis, and what works for one may not work for another. Antibiotics and acne cremes are most commonly prescribed first to clear the skin and prevent further breakouts. Once skin has healed acne scar treatment can begin. Some common acne scar treatments are lazar removal and dermabrasion, which are quite effective for removal of shallow scars. For mild cases a chemical peel may be all that is needed. Deeper acne scars may require punch techniques first, and then laser treatments. Most cases will require one or more treatments, or a combination of treatments to achieve the desired results. Most acne scar treatments can be performed quickly and with minimal discomfort right in the office.

Most acne scar treatments are not covered by health insurance plans, and can be quite costly if more than a couple of treatments are needed, which is the case in more instances than not. Less expensive acne scar treatments can always be tried first, especially if the scars are not too severe. Check with your dermatologist's office for prices of various procedures recommended, and also check online for more in depth information on acne scar treatments. Visit www.acne.org for a description of various procedures, and visit chat forums for discussion on experiences of others that have undergone various types of acne scar treatments as well. This is a good place to start, and make an appointment with your dermatologist to discuss what is the best treatment option for you.

This information is not presented by a medical practitioner and is for educational and informational purposes only. With the fast-rising problem of teens and other adults regarding acne, medicinal breakthroughs were introduced in order to deal with the outbreak directly.

Science found it necessary to give an answer to the reddening and thickening scar. Though the acne scars may gradually fade, blemishes may be left behind which evidences the growth of acne on that particular area.

Removal as an appropriate term for acne treatment

We all know that scars could not be totally eliminated. The spots and other incidental superficial scars may be totally removed, though. You may resort to surgical treatments like dermabrasion, collagen or fat injections and laser treatment. These procedures are costly but if you want to remove the spot, these removal processes are highly recommended.

One of the acne spot treatments available now is the peeling procedure where a certain chemical
is used to remove the outer layer of the skin, the epidermis. This system helps smooth scars as well as it evens out skin tone. There are various types of peeling depending upon the strength of the chemical used and on how deep is the penetration requirement.

Ingredients of an effective treatment

Medicine has incorporated natural ingredients in products for acne spot treatment. After all, they may have realized that natural cure is still one of the most efficient ways to address a skin problem. Some of the natural ingredients of an effective spot treatment are:

- White willow bark. This is the primary component of the salicylic acid, which is known as one of the ingredients of most acne medicines. It is also a Beta Hydroxy Acid which gives acne spot treatments the strength to unclog pores.

- Tea tree oil. This ingredient, on the other hand, is where we get benzoyl peroxide from, another main component for acne spot removal. It destroys the bacteria which causes acne and cleanses your face, bringing back its youthful glow.

- White thyme. It is known as antiseptic and is normally used in hospitals all over the world. It helps kill germs, thus, an effective treatment.

- Calendula. The calendula is an antifungal agent. With this strong bacteria fighting ingredient, acne would never be your problem.

- Witch hazel. The pure extract derived from witch hazel helps in cleansing and deep penetration of the pores. It is a component usually found in most astringents and helps ease inflammation.

- Red clover. For ages, this ingredient has been used to lessen the pain caused by any form of inflammation of the skin. The herb can be chopped and rubbed to the affected area and surprisingly, the pain will alleviate.

Acne spot treatments help rejuvenate the skin. You may opt to take over-the-counter products or consult your dermatologist for proper disposition. Be acne free with the acne spot treatments, whether natural or prescribed.

Acne and Treatment

Teen Acne Treatment - 3 Important Things You Must Know

Acne is a major problem for those who have it. Not only are there major physical changes, but psychological changes as well. Formerly confident teens may find their self-confidence shaken by the way they look now.

1. Social Problems

Normal everyday social situations often become awkward and difficult for a teen suffering from acne to face. They will often try to avoid these social situations as much as possible. The teen may feel self-conscious and cut off from the group. There is a stigma associated with acne, and amongst teens especially, it is often considered to be a sign that a person is "dirty" or doesn't take care of themselves. All of this can make even going to class a painful experience for a teen. It erodes the teen's self-confidence, and sometimes these feeling will follow the teen into adulthood and cause dpression and social maladjustment.

2. A Lack of Understanding

Many people who are not suffering from acne just don't seem to understand what the teen may be going through. They may think that the teen is just overreacting, and that it's "not that bad". But in recent years, the social and psychological side effect have been studied more closely. They found that acne is as much about how you think you look and how you feel emotionally, as it is the actual physical appearance. A teens self-image and self-confidence can be fragile things while they are growing up, and having acne can cause the teen to have to deal with all sorts of unwelcome pressures and prejudices.

Modern society places a lot of emphasis in appearances, and anything outside the norm brings pressure to bear on the person breaking the "norm". When asked how they felt during these studies, teens with acne often said that they felt "ugly" and "depressed". These feeling can persist into adulthood, and are not gender specific. Both males and females felt similarly about their acne and how it made them feel.

3. Understanding What's Happening

Understanding what pressures and feelings having acne can place upon your teen is very important, especially during the earlier teenage years. You must understand that acne is a big deal, and can leave lasting scars emotionally as well as physically. If you notice a change in your teen's behaviors, such as suddenly losing interest in social occasions, drop in grades, moodiness, etc., ask them what is bothering them. If it turns out that it is acne, don't just shrug it off. Take them to see a dermatologist, especially in the more severe cases. Make sure they understand that nothing they did is the cause of their acne, and that it will get better if they take care of it properly. Then make sure that they do take care of it properly.

Acne and Treatment

Acne Treatment System - Why Do We Get Acne and How Can it Be Cured?

There are many different opinions as to why people suffer from acne. Debate as to the causes is strong but most people agree that hormones are a major factor. This is because it leads to oily skin which in turn then clogs up the pores. The end result being blotches and blemishes on your face and body.

Another aspect that is important is diet. If you do not have a good and balanced diet then your body will not have the vitamins and minerals it requires. The results of this will show on your face as acne shows. This is similar to if you have not slept well. You tend to have paler skin with less vitality and radiance because of this. If you do not treat your body kindly then the effects will show on your skin.

Alongside getting plenty of sleep and a good diet you should drink a lot of water each day. This helps flush out the toxins in your body and leaves you refreshed. Stick to about eight glasses of water daily and try and cut down on sugary drinks that are not good for you.

Some people dispute the importance of bacteria in causing acne but if your skin is not cleansed then the dirt and bacteria can get into your pores. This may not be the primary factor for most peoples acne but it can still leave you with problematic skin. The best way to deal with this is to ensure you wash your face gently in the morning and evening, and only wash in between if your face is dirty. Scrubbing it constantly will just irritate it.

These tips are the most basic and fundamental ways of clearing up your skin and while there can be a variety of factors for acne it is typically one of the reasons discussed above.

Acne and Treatment

How to Clear Acne and Find the Best Acne Cure

I was at a point where I didn't care.
If the doctor said to rub poo over my face and it would work. I would've done it, plus if you are pregnant or have health or allergy issues, your doctor can point you in the right direction.

**Over the counter treatments:
Do these work? I know some folks who used a type of soap and it worked wonders. There are many types of treatments that when used properly can have great effects.

Many of these don't work and many may make your acne worse, by drying out your skin or backfiring against the natural chemicals in your body. These are great to try and I have had success with some of these like neutrogena, but for more severe types of acne, I don't think these work as well.

**Non-prescription treatments or step treatment as I call it:
You see ads all the time that weren't around years ago. Specialists and scientists have studied how to clear acne for years and have realized that certain mixes can truly get rid of those pesky red bumps. There have been studies, success stories, and more to back up these claims.

I will admit that I am a success story for one of these products, but I also used some that didn't work (so don't let that discourage you). It can be an expense that adds up, but ask yourself if looking in the mirror or talking someone face to face is worth it. If you're a teen, as most of us are when we realize acne, then perhaps discuss this with your parents or use money from a part time job to pay for it. I had the cheapest parents in the world, so this was a challenge.

The only problem you have now is spending tons of money trying the many ones that are out there. The key is to tie your skin type and acne type to the ingredients and find a treatment strategy that will work. For instance, the one I still use today says to do the steps two times per day,and I only use it two times per week max to really clean my face. Otherwise I break out from dryness.

**Healthcare and Other Best Acne Cure treatments:
Some other secrets or tips I discovered along the way included vitamins and minerals that not only made me feel good, but helped my skin. Eating healthy, exercising, and other health-conscious methods seemed to assist as well. Plus, once I added water filtration into my life, it gave that final push to clear skin forever.

**Scar treatment:
This is the final method if you have gotten rid of your acne and want to smooth out your skin so you can put the innner and outer scars of acne behind you forever. I am not a medical professional, so my best advice on this is to really do your research, ask for referrals from others, and choose the best method based on due diligence. We could go all day about removing scars, but that is another article.

Folks, I like you, hate acne and want to help others not suffer through this monsterous disease. Learning how to clear acne and finding the best acne cure is doable yet challenging.

Don't give up because I believe there is a treatment or combo of treatments out there for everyone.

Acne and Treatment

Acne Spot Treatment

By: Alisia Friend

There are many skin care for acne treatments available including:

1. Clear skin maintenance products to prevent blemishes from returning

2. Acne relief and spot specific treatments

3. Specialized medications presribed by medical professionals

Those that fall into the preventative category are based around general skin conditioning to help stop acne from forming; these products can be anything from skin cleansers to makeup removers. Whilst many sufferers use these products there are even more who just want to keep their skin clean and conditioned; many use these products to protect their skin from the environment even if they do not have the acne condition. Many of these cleansers act in almost exactly the same way as acne skin care products; they clean out the pores to help stop sebum or oil which can clog these areas. These types of products are reducing the chance of oil staying in the pores and aiding the growth of harmful bacteria which assists the formation of the skin condition.

Other skin care treatments can help exfoliate the skin; these are easily obtainable in any drug store. The peels clean the skin by removing all surface pollution and dead skin cells which can block the pores. There is a huge market for these types of acne skin care products as they don't require a consultation with a dermatologist. Most of these creams etc. are based on benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid, both of which are the enemies of bacteria (and hence acne); they are designed to extract the excess oil that bacteria need to promote the development of acne.

Generally it is best to start using this type of product with only a small amount of benzoyl peroxide (less than 5.5 percent is recommended), just to see how the skin reacts; should a reaction occur, products containing alpha hydroxy acid are generally safer. As with any type of zit cream, you may need to try a few acne skin care products until you find one that will suit your skin; however, if finding an effective remedy it is proving to be a problem then consult with your doctor, or skin care specialist. There are benefits of seeing your doctor or dermatologist, they can prescribe you with a prescription for treatments not available over the counter, for example a course of antibiotics.

Your dermatologist may suggest a minor surgical procedure to remove the contents of pustules; this is not something you should ever attempt yourself. Your doctor may even suggest a course of hormone therapy as a skin care treatment; hormone changes are known to be one cause of acne. There is no longer any reason to despair if you have this skin complaint or are prone to its effects.

Acne and Treatment

Acne Spot Treatment Tips To Help You Get Clear Skin

By: Jason Richardes

Acne is a condition in which skin is characterized by white heads, dark heads, zits or swollen red pimples. The pores on the surface of the skin get blocked at times. Pores are the opening to a passage called a follicle. There is a hair and an oil gland in the follicle. The oil gland helps in lubricating the skin and removing the old skin cells. The pores get blocked when there is too much of oil secretion from these glands. Bacteria and dirt starts collecting in these blocked pores. The obstruction or blockage on the skin is called a plug.

Acne generally occurs on the face, neck and shoulder but at times it appears also on the arms, legs and buttocks. Acne is a common issue among teenagers, but it can occur at any age. Even infants have the possibility of developing acne.

Treat acne early:

Acne leaves scar marks on the places it appears. Every individual suffering from acne is susceptible to acne scars. One of the best ways to avoid acne scars is to treat it at the early stage itself and continue treating it till it fully recovers. A simple treatment available to reduce acne scars is to wash your skin gently with a mild soap. Be careful in selecting cosmetics. Always choose cosmetics that will suit your skin nature. Don't rub or scratch on the area affected by acne.

There are acne spot treatments available for those with acne scars. Acne scars are of different types like boxed scars, keloid scars, rolling scars and ice pack scars. It is always better to consult a dermatologist for acne spot treatment and identify the type of treatment that will be effective for your skin.

Dermabrasion is a most effective method for treating acne spots where the surface skin is actually removed with a high-speed brush. A smooth layer of skin is formed from the growth of new cells that will result in a clear skin without pits and craters. Micro dermabrasion is a comparatively new treatment where aluminium oxide crystals are passed through a vacuum tube to remove surface skin. Several sittings are required for this treatment method and the skin does not show much improvement.

Chemical peels may be a good option:

Chemical peelers are also used for acne spot treatment. These are similar to dermabrasion. In this treatment chemicals are used to remove the surface skin affected by acne. A punch graft is a method to treat deep acne spots. Skin is removed from another area of the patient's body and is grafted on the acne-affected area.

Collagen injection is a method that injects collagen beneath the skin to broaden and fill out spots. This acne spot treatment holds no good for ice pick scars and keloids. Auto genes fat transfer is yet another method where your own body fat is collected. This collected fat is then injected into your skin to lift up depressed scars. This type of acne spot treatment is mostly meant for people with deep scars. You can start flushing your system right now and you will see a big improvement in your skin within weeks. These acne home treatments work.

24 hours a day, your body attempts to eliminate the waste from your system. However, this is a pretty hard task if you are eating harmful foods. If you are waking up in the morning slow and tired, this is from that terrible diet you had the night before. The waste is trying to pass through your system and it is stuck. That is why you are tired and grouchy the next morning.

If you are eating correctly everyday, you will have tons of energy every morning when you wake up and your acne will start to clear up as well. Your body has to be cleansed from within. You can start a cleansing acne home treatment process at home. The first step is, when you wake up in the morning; drink a 8-12 oz glass of water. Do not eat anything until 12 noon. By doing this everyday, you are giving your body more cleansing time to wipe out the toxins that remain in your body. Start eating correctly everyday and drink the 8-12 oz of water every morning and no food until 12 noon. Then at noon, eat right and drink plenty of water through out the day. Try this out for two weeks and if you like it, then you can stay on this regimen. Give this method a try and no bad food. You know what kind of bad food I am talking about. Sugar, fat, fried, etc...Give your body more cleansing time. This system will greatly improve your health and acne.

Make that change in your diet so your kidneys and liver can start to cleanse right. Red meat is hard on the system and moves very slowly when it comes to digesting. This will take time to move out of your system. If you are going to try this out for two weeks, no red meat at all. If you are eating correctly, your bowels will move out the toxins quickly from your body. Did you know that the longer the food remains in your system, you are slowly poisoning your body. This is one of the reasons why you have acne.

Another great acne home treatment you can start at home is get yourself a good colon cleanser. I know you have heard this phrase before. All disease starts in the colon. This is so true. You will see and feel a big difference in your overall health and your acne condition will clear up rapidly.

Finally with another acne home treatment, eat plenty of fruits and vegetables. This is a great reward to healthy skin. In order to correct a skin condition or acne, it starts from within and your body has to be cleansing from within. Remember this.

Acne and Treatment

Acne Scar Treatment Options for You

Acne scarring is an acute problem especially for those who have experienced ugly flare ups of acne in the past. Nearly 80% of all people are affected by acne when they are in their teens and twenties. Though many are left unscathed by acne attacks, some may have life-long scars which can be a constant source of embarrassment. There are many treatment options for treating acne scars ranging from topical skin creams to surgical intervention. Of course the importance of preventive measures can not be undermined especially if you want to avoid a life-long problem.

Preventions is the best way to avoid any future problem with acne. To prevent acne breakouts, it is important to know what causes acne in the first place. One of the easiest ways to prevent acne is to wash your face daily with a mild antibacterial soap and avoid using heavy lotions and creams in areas which are prone to acne.

To hit the right treatment option for acne scars you must know the different classifications of acne scars. You will then know which treatment will suit which type of scars. For instance the ice pick acne scars are sharp and narrow where the skin appears to have been sliced or punctured. Acne scar resurfacing options can not work with such deep scars. Boxcar acne scars on the other hand are round or oval in shape and if they have not penetrated too deeply they can respond to some treatments. Conventional acne scar treatments
can not work on rolling scars which are spots just beneath the surface of the skin. These need breaking up the fibrous tissue under the skin.

While there are plenty of acne scar treatment methods , more often, these methods are combined to get the desired results. Dermal fillers is a treatment option where some substances are injected into the scar areas to give the skin a smoother and even look. Fat, bovine and human collagens are some of the substances used in dermal fillers which can not offer a permanent solution and have to be repeated to maintain the results obtained. Deeper acne scars like ice pick and boxcar scars, are usually treated with punch excision. This is a method where the entire scar area is removed and the skin round it is sutured. This method also leaves a scar, which is less noticeable.

Punch excision is used for skin grafting as well. Here in place of suturing the skin together a skin graft is used. Skin from behind the ear is usually the chosen skin. If the color and texture of skin grafting is noticeable after the procedure is complete, it can be rectified using skin resurfacing. Punch elevation is the procedure used for deep boxcar acne scars. Here the scar is removed using a particular tool and then elevating the skin to the level of the normal skin layer and then suturing the skin together. Here there is less risk of color and texture mismatching. It also reduces the visible scars left from punch incision. The method used for breaking the fibrous bands caused under the skin by rolling scars is subcutaneous incision. One of the most popular choices for any skin conditioning or repairing is laser resurfacing. It works by burning the top layer of the skin which is replaced soon by new and healthy skin as it heals with time.

Though there are plenty of ways for treating acne scars prevention is the best way to avoid this problem of scar removal. In case you feel that you need treatment for your acne scars, you must first consult your physician, who will refer you to a dermatologist who will help you with your acne scar treatment. While you are going to choose the best method for your acne scar treatment you must also pay equal attention to its efficacy and the cost involved. Sometimes you might have to choose a combination of therapies like combining punch elevation with laser resurfacing.

These complementary methods could result in minimal scarring caused by surgical intervention. It is important to get professional advice from doctors who are adequately qualified with the right credential. Also important to note is that there are plenty of over the counter products which promise complete acne scar removal
.Though these may reduce the ugliness of the scars temporarily, your doctor is the best judge to offer remedial actions when it comes to a permanent solution.

Acne and Treatment

<media:rating>nonadult</media:rating>
