I am a twelve year old girl. I get acne mostly on my forehead (mainly between my eyebrows), near my nose and on my chin. My nose is really oily too, i dont know why! I have used nutregena oil-free acne wash, nutregena rapid clear, and clearasil daily face wash, but all of them either did nothing, or made my acne worse, or dried out my skin! Right now all i am doing is washing my face with plain soap daily. It helps somewhat. My mom wotn let me use any zit cream or anything, only face washes, because she says the other stuff will dry out my skin. What is some things i can do to get rid of my oily skin and acne without drying out my skin?. Nothign too expensive, i cant afford proactive or any of that stuff. preferably natural.

Oatmeal has emerged as a natural beauty product that is used to treat skin ailments such as acne and pimples. In the recent years it has gained popularity in the form of oatmeal masks and oatmeal products. You have two kinds of oatmeal to use; the colloidal oatmeal or the cooked oatmeal. With the colloidal oatmeal, you would have to crush and mill it into a fine powder form and cooked oatmeal; you can simply apply it onto face.

Its not at all difficult to prepare oatmeal facial mask or scrub at home as all you got to do is get the preferred form of oatmeal and have a grinder, a washcloth and distilled water with you. Once you prepare the oatmeal, keep it in bulky amounts so that you could use it for two weeks or more. If you prefer using the powder form, it can be stored more easily. Get oatmeal and grind it with a coffee mill or a grinder and get it into fine powder form. Put that in lukewarm water and then apply it on to face. However, make sure you don’t rub the skin extensively with that, instead just keep it on for some time and then gently pat the skin with a soft towel. If you are suffering from acne, you will have to be very cautious of not rubbing at the acne itself as that will create further irritations.

For cooked oatmeal, you simply have to buy packet oatmeal, cook it, allow it to cool and when it is just lukewarm, apply it as a facial mask. When the oatmeal becomes dry and crusty on the face, then wash it off with lukewarm water. Oatmeal used in either way is excellent for acne treatment. You can also use it as a facial cleaner or a facial scrub by mixing uncooked oatmeal with warm water and then smoothing it over your face, at the same time scrubbing it with a soft washcloth. Eat fresh vegetables and stick to the oatmeal treatment for a few weeks. Do not miss out any day if you want effective results.

TETRACYCLINE
This is the first and most widely accepted antibiotic recommended for acne. Usually it is prescribed as a 500mg dosage twice a day, until the acne has reduced. Once the acne has been significantly reduced the dosage can be reduced to 250mg a day. As with every other antibiotic this shouldn’t be taken by pregnant ladies and regular people need to take this under an empty stomach.
