Wrexham County Library Feature Staircase

ACP Engineering (Wrexham) Ltd have just completed a project in the Wrexham County Library which saw the design and build of a new feature staircase with glass balastrading and infills as well as Oak treads.

As always, the mini-crane came into its own in the maneouvering and siting of the new staircase and balustrades.

Juliette Balconies in Llangollen

ACP at The Royal College of Music

ACP Engineering hit some very high notes of their own while working at The Royal College of Music in London this month.

The project required the lads to work a great height installing cat ladders, access ladders, platforms and a fire escape at the back of the building which is more than 7 storeys high!

ACP Engineering (Wrexham) Ltd wins contract at The Royal College of Music

ACP Engineering (Wrexham) Ltd are delighted to have been awarded a contract at The Royal College of Music which will see their order book full until mid January 2009.

"We are thrilled to have been given the opportunity to work on such a historical building" says MD Chris Nelson.

Once again, the ACP Mini Crane will show it's true worth as access around the building will be tough to negotiate and the Mini Crane will be used to help gain access to hard to reach areas.

"It's going to be a lot of hard work for the lads but we are looking forward to the challenge" said Director Andy Nelson.

Architectural Steelwork at Hunts Cross, Liverpool

ACP Engineering manufactured and installed a formidable piece of architectural steelwork this month at a site in Hunts Cross, Liverpool.

The custom designed & built steelwork was a 6.5M wide by 10M high Fin Wall structure which weighed 6.5 tonne.

The manufacture process took two weeks and the installation, two days but the majority of the work was actually carried out before fabrication as the whole project took some time to come to fruition due to the amount of liaising between structural engineers & architects required to ensure the structure would be fit for purpose.

ACP completes its biggest project to date

ACP Engineering (Wrexham) Ltd has now completed the contract at Lymedale Cross. This project spanned over a 12 month period and included over 2 miles of security fencing! Other works undertaken onsite included:

ACP branches out in Mini-Crane Hire

This month has seen ACP Engineering (Wrexham) Ltd branch out into Mini Crane Hire having purchased a UNIC 376 mini crane.

Chris Nelson - MD says "We have had to use a mini crane on a number of projects which would have otherwise meant us going to the time and expense of erecting scaffolding. The benefit of using a mini crane has been enormous."

Mini cranes really come into their own when a project is taking place in a confined space or on an uneven surface. The mini crane can access areas that other cranes cannot, or are simply to high in tonnage to be allowed on site.
