Details:

          Melissa Hirschenson has worked as a SAG Franchised Talent Agent in Los Angeles since 1995 and has a diverse background within the entertainment industry. 

           Native to Miami, she ventured to California to attend Law Schooland soon began an internship working for her cousins Michael and Janet Hirschenson, and their partner Jane Jenkins at THE CASTING COMPANY. She left Law Schoolto pursue her love of the entertainment business and successfully ran her first Agency, Nazemova Model and Talent, for two years. As word of her success and her eye for talent grew she was asked to join EPSTEIN, WYCOFF, CORSA, ROSS, accepting the challenge to build their Adult commercial department. Developing further in her career she went on to work at INTERNATIONAL CREATIVE MANAGEMENT with Steven Chasman covering Sony/Columbia Tri-star working with A-list clients. When Chasman left ICM to become a manager, Melissa paired up with Kim Byrd and built up the division INNOVATIVE ARTISTS AT FORD MODELS, representing talent for Film and Television. She developed models into actors and was successful placing them in a variety of films from Independent features like The Groomsmen to Major motion pictures like Zoolander and Snow Dogs. In addition her clients appeared on television shows like Friends, That 80’s Show, Bold and the Beautiful, All My Children and many more.       

            After a successful stint in Hollywood, Ed Arenas at UNIQUE CASTING offered Melissa a position in which she used her skills and contacts in Hollywood to benefit the new cutting edge talent pool in Miami.  She worked as part of the dynamic casting team on projects ranging from Independents (Full Grown Men) to Studio Features (Transporter 2).  After three years in Miami, recently married Melissa, found herself back at INNOVATIVE ARTISTS, Los Angeleswhere she represents clients such as AnnaLynne McCord who stars on the new hit Series 90210 for the CW.  Innovative also has 3 of the cast members of the mega hit films TWILIGHT and NEW MOON.

What:  Estelle Hertzberg will be interviewing and auditioning students for her management company.  Please bring headshot and resume.

We are happy to announce that Estelle Hertzberg from Herztberg Management will be coming to our school to look for new talent.  Because Estelle has to catch a flight at 1pm, we would like everyone to check in at 10am and there is no specific call time based on last names for this audition.  Auditions will be held at the ACT school in the Arizona Center.  If you are in class, we will pull you out to audition.

Remember to bring your headshot and resume as well.  Also, the evaluation form that Estelle will be filling out will be available for you to receive copy either by the end of the day or the following week.  We can also scan and email or fax it to you as well.

Estelle Hertzberg began her career as a talent agent starting the children’s department at the adult agency 20th Century Artists.  There she placed her young clients in various projects such as The Young and the Restless, Days of Our Lives, Deep Space 9, The Bad News Bears, What’s Happening, Picket Fences, Halloween, The Great Santini, Alf and numerous other television shows and feature films. After many years of running only a children’s theatrical division she expanded by opening a children’s commercial department which became very successful. Eventually she decided to go into management so she could give personal attention to a select list of clients.  During her period of time as a manager and, up until the present, she has placed her clients in many projects such as Daddy Day Care, The Santa Clause 3, The Christmas Dog, Frankenhood, Forget-Me-Not, The Bonnie Hunt Show, Rob Zombie’s Halloween, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, ER, Entourage, How I Met Your Mother and many others as well as numerous commercials, print work and voice-overs. While Estelle still currently represents a number of successful clients, she is always open to looking at fresh new faces to develop for the entertainment business. 

We will resume classes Sept. 13 for our current students. Please note, for those who are in Trish’s class on Sunday morning that normally runs from 11am - 12pm, she will begin at 10am for both Sept. 13 and Sept. 20 to cover any hours missed for this class.  We will not have any make-up sessions at the end of the session.

All active students (meaning those who have remaining class credits) will be given calls to register for the next round of classes that will begin Oct. 3 - 4.
