Only because my though t is that if your doing something different, why should your follow the traditional path, or so-called path to success, and expect some phenomenal result. to me it looks like all the phenomenal people, have done things phenomenally different, But we keep going with what's familiar, or traditional, and expect something phenomenal and differential. The book REWORK is from a company that develop web tools that are different but solve traditional problems, for people like me who take a non-traditional approach. Read the excerpt below. It challenges you to forget the normal approach to business. I did. You will develop your own thought and your own approach, and really be different.

"Unless you’re a fortune- teller, long- term business planning is a fantasy. There are just too many factors that are out of your hands: market conditions, competitors, customers, the economy, etc. Writing a plan makes you feel in control of things you can’t actually control.

Why don’t we just call plans what they really are: guesses. Start referring to your business plans as business guesses, your financial plans as financial guesses, and your strategic plans as strategic guesses. Now you can stop worrying about them as much. They just aren’t worth the stress.

When you turn guesses into plans, you enter a danger zone. Plans let the past drive the future. They put blinders on you. “This is where we’re going because, well, that’s where we said we were going.” And that’s the problem: Plans are inconsistent with improvisation. And you have to be able to improvise. You have to be able to pick up opportunities that come along. Some times you need to say, “We’re going in a new direction because that’s what makes sense today.” The timing of long- range plans is screwed up too.
You have the most information when you’re doing something, not beforeyou’ve done it. Yet when do you write a plan? Usually it’s before you’ve even begun. That’s the worst time to make a big decision. " this was taken from a the new book " REWORK." Pick it up here.

The Life Coach.. Fad!!

Okay...Okay...

Have you ever really wondered about this "Life Coach Thing?"

I know a few people who consider themselves life coaches, and I sometimes wonder how they really help outside of telling me what they have been through and applying it to my life. I've attended a few seminars out of curiosity and ultimately they turned into a book promoting, tell your friends about me, I can speak at you local church themed lecture. Now granted I've been told that I can be pretty verbose, but at least I'm helpful, ( or so I think I am.) But the bottom line is you think you need a life coach, do your research on a few. Ask them a few questions. See if your potential new coach, has ever been "coached before?" And above all, make sure they are not nuts!

Hey before you pay for a service that can cost from $50 to $500 per session, ( with a book purchase attached...) Go to a church, or minister, head to Borders or Barnes & Knoble and get a book on "Life Coaching" you'll probably save some money. Or, just ask one of your intelligent friends, "like me.."

Wow. This year I'm focusing on doing the impossible. Or for me what I don't do enough of, "focusing." and executing my dreams. Time is ticking an each year is passing faster and faster. So im gonna buckle down and take my goals month by month. Let's see where I'm at in 6 months. Good luck on your goals this year.

[Posted with iBlogger from my iPhone]

For the Ladies, Not the Men..

Somethings even I can't believe. As men we spend our entire life attempting to figure out women, and women consistently throw curveball after curveball for us men to swing and miss at repeatedly. If hair weaves, color contacts, breast implants and expensive make-up and teeth whitening does not give men enough ghosts to chase. Now, that feminine pendulum, that when swaying left to right, hypnotizes even the most focused and respectful men has been put into question. A women's rear will keep a man focused and distracted at the same time. But, now I've seen it all! I will never look at another women's derriere the same. Not like I'm really looking, I married..... Shout-out to my wife... :). Hey Honey!!

BOOTY "POP" What the Hell!! But pads built right into the panties.. What's next Bras that have build in breasts.. Oh you gals already have that.. I can only imagine if men were get in on this "poppin'" action. How would it go, maybe men's gloves that make a mans hands bigger, or shoes that make his feet longer. No woman likes a man with little tiny children hands and feet. (..hope no one is offended). Or how about a shirt or jacket that makes your shoulders broad and your chest look defined. Women can buy a girdle that slims them down 4 dress sizes in 4 minutes.. How bout men adding 4 inches in 4 minutes...... to his biceps..... get you mind out of the gutter.. (Although I was thinking it too.) If we men practiced such deception I don't think women would have the patience to do the proper investigation to figure whats real and whats fake. Ladies, isn't it enough for you to try and figure out, "Does he have a girlfriend, or a wife?" "Is really he serious about me?", "Will he call be later?," or "How much money does he really make?" Now you will have to worry about if he really has big feet, or are those just those new "poppin'" shoes?

Women of the world listen very closely. If he wants a women with a big booty, and you don't have it.. He's not for you.. Be yourself, pancake booty and all! If he really wants you, then he wants your energy, your soul, and smile. That's what gets his heart. Not your booty.. No panties of any kind will keep your boyfriend content and happy. Especially after he finds out you have a prosthetic rump. Trust me he will when what he sees doesn't quite match up to what he squeezes.

Two Lines for Women.
I was once told when God made women, he formed two lines for them to get in, Line (1) for a big booty, and line (2) for big breasts. As a women you know you were either in line 1 or 2. It's rare that a women naturally made it through both. Think about it, most men are either a booty or a breast man, and that's by design. Have you noticed how overwhelmed a man gets when we sees a woman with both. It's so rare, it's like seeing a ghost. Thats just too much for our simple man minds to understand. Yeah, us men say we want a Beyonce, J-Lo, and Kim Kardashian booty.. but without us getting to know your beautiful heart and soul you won't grab us for the long run.. If all you're doing is " Booty-Poppin," than that's the only thing we are going to be concerned with anyway. If the eyes are the window to your soul, we will miss the eyes and the soul while we are distracted by your "Booty-Poppin'." Take your $19.99, you would have spent on Booty-Pop panties, or "Feelfoxy.com butt lift underwear, and join a gym. I'd rather see a shapely figure with a great smile walking towards me, than a suspicious booty walking away. And with "Booty-Pop" all booty is suspect!

So I'm a drinker, not by profession, but more by social situation. My tastes have refined and grown from the college days of cheap beer and very cheap wine (Milwaukee's Best and Boone's Farm). To some of the more high end (and ultimately more expensive drinks) Grand Marnier and Grey Goose Vodka to name a few. But recently I've come across a drink that has name, that to me, is synonymous with guys in tattered overcoats and wearing gloves with their fingers exposed, ridding a public bus with a large bottle in a brown paper bag. You know the guys.. They remind you of Dan Akroyd when he played "Winthorpe" from the movie "Trading Places" after he had his riches taken and given to Eddie Murphy. When he dressed like bum and staggered around downtown drink from a brown paper bag. (Very funny movie) Anyway my buddy who owns a wine and spirits store introduced me to a product called "American Honey," from Wild Turkey. That's right Wild Turkey! When I hear "Wild Turkey," it reminds me of Fred Sanford's "Ripple." and not to be confused with his celebratory "Cham-Pipple." (champagne & ripple) used for special occasions only.

Wild Turkey American Honey is the sweeter side to wild turkey. This exceptionally smooth spirit blended with pure honey and real wild turkey bourbon whiskey. Perfect served chilled straight from the freezer, over the rocks.

This Stuff is great but very strong, because of the Honey flavor the smooth sweetness can be a great addition to holiday eggnog, cola, sprite, and my favorite Courvoisier cognac.
I recently held a holiday party and all my guest's loved it. Each one blended it how they saw fit or just over the rocks. It was a hit.

So uppety Cordials, and high end Award Winning Vodka's won't be alone in my cabinet this year. Make room for my new edition. A regular joe who works hard and has just enough strength to take the edge off. It's independent enough to stand alone with ice, smooth enough to blend with the French and a good cigar, and humble enough give to friends for no other particular reason than to make them smile. Give American Honey this holiday, If not to friends, then just to yourself.

Happy Holidays.

BTW.. Check out VERITAS Wine & Spirits in Wilmington, Delaware. (302) 543-6071 they have plenty of holiday specials.

Very Uncomfortable Business

As a business owner your business life along with your personal life has several ongoing, and ever changing chapters. So we have to embrace the journey with each turning page. This will be my tenth year in business, and I've met hundreds of entrepreneurs, and with exception of those who have matriculated into a longstanding family business, no one has told me they could have predicted their successes or their failures. There is no book, no dvd, no class, or no teacher that can give you a detailed roadmap to your business success. They can only offer a few additional tools to help refine and broaden you business acumen. You still have to rely on you, your energy, your dreams, your gut instincts, and your faith to guide you and make adjustments when necessary.

So here is one tool that I've picked up along my journey. I was once told that a key to business and personal growth is to " Do Something Uncomfortable Everyday." At first it was difficult, but when I realized that the very nature of being an entrepreneur was risky anyway, it became easier digest. I have to say that phrase has helped me go after larger clients, it's raised my ceiling of expectations for myself, I've been able to address and overcome difficult situations I would normally avoid (because I could), and ultimately speak truthfully to colleagues, customers, friends and family.

Give it a try. Make it a point each day, to do something uncomfortable, take one step out of your comfort zone daily. You'll eventually find yourself in a different place, farther than you thought you or your business could ever be from where you began. I learn so much everyday, there is just so much information that I'm bombarded with that I can only remember a small portion. I have to resort to note-taking, ta-do lists, reminder emails, and not to mention my overflowing calender, just to stay on top of life's daily tasks. But, reading seems to be the mortar to the bricks of information thrown at me everyday. After an hour of reading, I cant forget a thing I've read. It's amazing. It just sticks. Now, I realize that the more I read the more information gets crammed into my brain. But, the things I read seem to float to the top of my daily consciousness. And I feel compelled to tell everyone. Does this happen to you as well? Am I just completely desensitized to the spoken word? I fancy myself a good listener, I guess when I'm being spoken too, I'm just not a good rememberer.. I'm gonna stick to reading daily if I can. My brain, has to have a finite capacity. My theory is that there will be an ongoing balance struck in my brain, between the information read and retained, and the information heard and forgot. Maybe I should write down what everyone says to me. I have a hunch that after that I'll be too lazy to read it.
He also wrote "The Tipping Point."
