Arsenal's new signing, Andrei Arshavin is yet to debut for the club and as we know Arsene Wenger takes his time to give a new player a game, he won't be playing in the next Arsenal match for sure.

Arshavin is 27 years old and it was quite a surprise Wenger choose to buy him as Arsene doesn't like to buy old players. Arshavin is a very exciting flair player. Andrei Arshavin can play as a second striker or as a winger/attacking midfielder. Arsenal need versatility as they seem to have a lot of players on the injury list in the past couple of years and I hope Arshavin won't be in one of them.

We haven't seen Arshavin in a game for Arsenal but here are some training ground pictures of Arshavin (Pictures Specials from Arsenal.com).

Well, nothing new on the Arsenal front, one good thing thou, none of Arsenal's players who went out on International duty got injured. Lets see how things pan out with the new signing. I was hoping for some more signings in the January transfer window (a central defender and a defensive midfielder) but will have to satisfy with 1, i guess. I hope we sign an experienced top quality a central defender and a defensive midfielder in the summer transfer window and a striker if possible (preferably, David Villa).

After a long wait, wenger has signed one top class player. In the post couple of months we all saw that the youth project was not working as planned and there were average players who got picked week in week out to play for Arsenal's first team.

There are quite a few average players on the Arsenal squad who are not qualified to player for Arsenal. The first name that comes to mind is Emmanual Eboue, he is a good right back but nothing else but wenger never drops him and plays him way way out of position, why? Song is another one of the average players.

Arsenal need top class players if they are to win the anything but Wenger seems he doesn't want to spend any cash and thinks he can win title with average kids.

At last we get one top class player. Arsene Wenger signed Andrei Arshavin from Zenit St Petersburg after a long and frustrating January transfer window.

The fee for Andrei Arshavin is undisclosed but it is said by some sources to be around £15 million. Andrei Arshavin signed a contract for three-and-a-half years and I hope those years would be beneficial for Arsenal.

Arshavin said :

"I'm a Gunner. I'm happy to be at Arsenal. I like Arsenal's style. I like Arsene Wenger as a coach. I like some of the players from this team."

We got an experienced top quality player but I fear that it will not be enough to salvage Arsenal's season. We need another two-three top quality players with some experience. We need a Central Defender and a Defensive Midfielder atleast.

Arshavin still hasn't debut for Arsenal so don't know if the signing will have any impact or not. Lets see how things unfold.

I was truely shocked when Wenger 1st gave it to gallas, I thought gilberto would get it if not then toure. gallas hasn't been at arsenal that long to give him the armband.

Why isn't toure being played? he could fit in the defensive midfield role perfectly. he has played as a CB for a long time and he knows when there is danger. song is too young and doens't show any promise.

this summer when i heard gilberto was sold, i was stunned. he had a lot of experience. Y do we keep selling players who crossed the 30 year mark? we sold a whole lot of them starting from viera who wasn't even 30 at the time. he was a keyplayer and a captain and we sold him, why? from then one we have won nothing. no one from the invincible team is there anymore except for toure who is now not being played.

this season has been one of my worst experiences as an arsenal fan. I almost smashed my TV couple of time. I didn't see any passion, spirit or desire in the team when we lost or in some games we wont to. it was frustrating to see arsenal lose but worst than that, I didn't see any fight in them.

but still I don't think wenger should be sacked, btw i m not an AKB. he has setup some kind of infrastructure in the club and even if he was sacked it would take the new manager atleast 4 year to build a new team.

lets see what happens tomorrow in the team selection and how the team play.

Did anyone watch the clip where Alex Ferguson got spooked when the guy sitting right of him popped a balloon? LMAO Alex got scared shitless. it was a funny scene. old red nose jumped off his seat when the balloon popped.

I don't think eboue played that well, good performance all round by arsenal against bolton but we need to do something about the defensive headers. we were run ragged in that department by bolton. still lots of tough games to come and its still september. lets hope out premiership form wont' drop at the critical point like last season.

sundays result was a good one for us. we are top of the table but to be honest, chelsea should have gotten all three points. If man u keep playing like this, they will finish third or fourth. that would be great :D

Last season Manchester United could say they arguably had their best season for a long, long time. They produced wonder seasons for the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney, helping them to win the two big titles of the season; the Premier League and the Uefa Champions League. Ahhh…July has just commenced and my wanders to the 31st of October. Yes, you got it... HALLOWEEN! It's a day that I get to become someone else... a walk into my fantasy world and live there a whole day. A new personality reveling over a plethora of events like the costume parties, jack-o-lanterns, dances and laughter around bonfires…and the list goes on. Halloween began being celebrated way back in the nineteenth century and some western countries adopted it in the late twentieth century. It's celebrated as a day of enjoyment and merrymaking all over the world. It all began as a day of religious festivity from a European Pagan ancestry. Of course, a Halloween is no Halloween without the symbolic carved pumpkin with a glimmering candle inside it and children wearing halloween costumes. The jack-o-lantern is inherited from an Irish legend.

Personally speaking, Halloween for me is the day I get to dress up as a character from my fantasy world and live as a fantasy character. Last year, I was Jack Sparrow, a famous Pirate of the Caribbean. A blindfold on one-eye with tinkling bells dangling around my ankles and of course a sword. Online Gambling Legislation in the US

In November 2002, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit ruled that the Federal Wire Act prohibits sports betting through telecommunications, however does not prohibit Internet gambling on games of chance.

Some US states have specific laws against online gambling. Furthermore, owning online casinos without proper licensing would be deemed illegal, similarly there are currently no US states granting online gaming licenses.

Deputy Assistant Attorney General John G. Malcolm testified in March 2003 before the Senate Banking Committee to converse about the specific problems associated with online gambling. The major concern the United States Department of Justice had was the possibility of online money laundering. The anonymous nature of the Internet coupled with encrypted software; make it very difficult to trace online money laundering activity.

Google and Yahoo!, the two largest online search engines, announced in April 2004 that they were removing all online gambling advertisements from their sites. In August 2004, Casino City, an online casino directory, sued the US Department of Justice, stating that their websites business – promoting internet gambling – was legal and their rights were protected by the First Amendment, freedom of speech and the right to freedom of press.

The US District Court dismissed the case, stating that

"The government’s interest is specifically directed towards the advertising of illegal activity, namely Internet gambling... Furthermore, the speech in which the plaintiff wishes to engage is misleading because it falsely portrays the image that Internet gambling is legal... Because plaintiff's speech concerns misleading information and illegal activities, it does not fall within the speech that is protected by the First Amendment."

Most recently, the House Financial Services Committee held a hearing “Can Internet Gambling Be Effectively Regulated to Protect Consumers and the Payments System?” Expert witnesses testified that Internet gambling can be regulated for age verification, money laundering systems, federal and state tax collection, and issues relating to compulsive gambling.

Currently, there are several online gambling businesses fighting the US Department of Justice to allow them to operate within the United States.

Football: Arsenal's Transfer Rumors

Its been a very quite month for Arsenal. Since flamini left for AC milan and it looks more than likely, alexander hleb will be off too there are very little going on in the transfer market for Arsenal. There has been lots of rumors that Hatem Ben Arfa will sign but it still hasn't materialized. Also another Frenchman, Nasri has been linked to Arsenal. It looks more than likely both these players will sign for Arsenal as the media says they are in talks with Arsenal.

Just two signings would be enough in my opinion. Arsenal need a central defender and a good cover rightback. We also need a decent defensive midfielder if Gilberto leaves. We also need a good striker as robin van persie is injured half the season. David Villa would be a great signing. I hope Wenger signs him. That will make me really happy. I still don't trust adebayor, he stays offside most of the time and has a poor first touch. Well, lets cross our fingers and hope wenger signs atleast 4 players and we can have a half decent chance of winning the title next season.

Now that Arsenal's season is all but lost without any silverware, the only thing to look forward to for the next couple of months it the transfer rumors that are linked with Arsenal.

Recently there has been some transfer rumors linking Alexander Hleb to Inter Milan. Alexander Hleb still has 2 years left in his contract and Arsene Wenger doesn't want to sell him. Wenger says, he will report Inter Milan to Fifa about how they approached Alex Hleb.

Mathieu Flamini might leave Arsenal as his contract is up this summer and he still hasn't signed a new deal with Arsenal. He is currently linked with a move to AC Milan. I think that is a very bad move on his part. He won't be as good as he is at Arsenal as it is the style of play and the players around him that makes him what he is at Arsenal. Well he has until this Monday at the most to sign a new contract with Arsenal.

The most recent rumors in the transfer market that are linked with Arsenal is Barcelona and Francesc Fabregas. It is rediculous. Arsene Wenger will never sell Fabregas, well not in the near future.

Barcelona are planning an audacious £30m bid for Arsenal's Spanish midfielder Cesc Fabregas. The Catalan club may offer Samuel Eto'o, Deco, Eidur Gudjohnsen or former Gunner Thierry Henry in a part-exchange deal. (Daily Star)

That is a bit flattering but that is not going to happen. Fabregas is an integral part of Arsenal and Wenger won't sell the teams engine.

Another player that is linked to Arsenal but this time, coming to Arsenal is David Villa. I would like nothing more than to see David Villa at Arsenal next season but Real Madrid has reportedly made an offer to Valencia worth £24m. Tottenham has also shown interest in David Villa but the player has come out and said he won't play for the spuds. The most likely team he would join in England is Arsenal if Wenger can cough up some cash for him.

Tottenham look set to miss out on Valencia striker David Villa as Real Madrid have made a £24m bid for the Spain international.

Football: Arsenal's great escape

It was a great game, a great escape by arsenal. 2 nil down and with only 10 players I thought we had lots the game. it was quite an exciting game. theo should play more often. eboue is just not good enough. maybe 2 seasons ago, he used to run to the byline the whole game from right back position, not anymore. He doesn’t pass to sagna when he makes the effort of running from arsenal half to the byline. eboue should be sold.

gallas is not a leader, toure should have gotten the captain’s armband. He is more of a leader than gallas is from what I saw in the previous games when we dropped two points cos of clichy’s mistake.

lehmann should go too, he just causes too much problems. our squad is too small to complete in all the competitions. Arsene made a huge mistake not to buy more quality players.

I think we are out of the title race. we got four very very difficult games coming up and I don’t think the squad is big enough. I like arsene’s policy of developing young players but at the same time we need some experience in the field, a true leader who leads by example.

I hope we beat liverpool in the CL. don’t think we can win the title. mancs wont drop that many points and the chavs wont too. :(

WE NEED TO BUY SOME PLAYERS in the summer. if flamini goes, and it looks like gilberto will go, we don’t have a defensive midfielder anymore. WTF!!!!!
instead of adding to the squad we look like loosing a couple of good players.

Since, I think from after the second world war, steroids was being used by sportsmen to boost their performance in the sports they participate in. Now steroid is used by lots of people besides sportsmen. Mostly it is used by body builders to build up their muscle mass in a very short period of time. They can Buy Steroids off the selves. Well there are two kinds of steroids, oral and the one you inject into your bloodstream. The first one is not as harmful as the second one. In the long run, both types of steroids can and will have a very negative side-effects.

Sports is now a lot more competitive than before and to succeed in it, some sportsmen take Steroids to gain some edge. The sport's governing bodies have some measures to stop this but not all steroids are detectable by tests. New steroids are being developed to defeat these kinds of testing and the governing body has to learn fast if they want to make the sports fair. Not all people are born with the gift and to gain a slightest advantage on their opponents and raise their performance levels for be it success or money, lots of sports professionals don't hesitate to take steroids. Football : UEFA Champion's League Draw

Arsenal vs AC Milan was the game of the first knock-out round. We has to now move on to the quarter finals and the semi finals. Just today, the draws for these matches was shown live on TV. I have been waiting for this for the whole week. I was a bit disheartened as Arsenal drew Liverpool at home. The first team to be picked out of the bowl was Arsenal. Chelsea and Barcelona got the easiest ties of them all. Barcelona got Schalke 04 and Chelsea got Fenerbahce. Both these matches, on paper are a sure win but its football and anything can happen.

If Arsenal can keep another clean sheet at home against Liverpool as they did against AC Milan, they have a good chance of going through to the semi-finals (I say this because of the away goals rules, if Arsenal can score at Anfield, they can just draw the game and win the tie).

Arsenal have a tough tasks if they want to reach the final. Even if Arsenal beat Liverpool, they will most probably face Chelsea in the semi-finals. Well, I just hope and pray that all the Arsenal players are fit and in great form from the quarter final stage to the final match as I want to see Arsenal win their first ever UEFA Champion's League trophy.
