Visited Addison Tyres in December as i needed four new tyres. After looking at a few different brands I was recommend by Jason the Point S Tyres. The service was outstanding yet again by all the staff. The tyres were fitted quickly, i also had the lazer 4 wheel alignment check which was great value as my front wheels were out of specification but soon rectified. The service yet again was second to none, can’t fault Jason and his expert team.
I’ve now had the Point S Tyres on my car for two months, the grip from these tyres are fantastic, with all the recent rain and cold weather including snow and ice, i can’t fault the grip! 2. By participating in the Promotion, the Participating Dealer agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions and by any other requirements set out in any promotional material provided by Michelin. 3. If the Participating Dealer fits a pair of the Eligible Tyres to a vehicle or loose wheels between 1^st March 2021 and 30^th April 2021, Michelin shall contribute in the following amounts:
   1. Tier 1 Tyres: a maximum of £30 (UK account dealers)/35€ (ROI account dealers); and/or
   2. Tier 2 Tyres: a maximum of £15 (UK account dealers)/17.5€ (ROI account dealers);

8. Michelin will request each Participating Dealer to submit a copy of 10% of all invoices (selected at random by MRM). Each invoice must show the date, the model of Eligible Tyres purchased and the reduction in fitting charges (up to the maximum amounts stated above) awarded to the purchaser under the terms of this Promotion to enable validation of the claims. Each invoice must clearly show a breakdown of the fitting charges. If a Participating Dealer is unable to provide the requested invoices, the Promoter reserves the right to request further copies of invoices for any or all claims being made and/or refuse to make payment relating to the relevant claim(s).

Keeping the correct tyre pressures on your car is something that many people overlook. How many of us check our car tyres? Even when we remember that we should it’s not an enjoyable task at the best of times but in the middle of winter we put off checking them until it’s a bit warmer. The advantage of tyre pressure sensors is that you don’t have to check – the car will let you know when they need attention.

So Why is Correct Tyre Pressures so Important?

Tyres that are over or under inflated by a large amount can over heat and fail. This is of course a worst case scenario but it could be avoided with the pressure sensors installed. If the pressure starts to drop while you’re driving on the motorway it may give you the advanced notice that could prevent an accident. A contributing factor in approximately 40% of serious road accidents are under inflated tyres.

Incorrect Tyre Pressures Can Increase Fuel Costs

Tyres that are under inflated drag slightly and don’t roll along the road as smoothly.  The car’s engine has to work harder and use more fuel. Most modern tyres have tread patterns that are designed to help you use less fuel. By not checking the tyre pressures regularly means you could be wasting money and increasing the CO2 emissions harmful to the environment.

Under and over inflated tyres will cost you more money as they will wear out more quickly. At the correct pressure the tyre is the correct shape. With too much or too little air in them the shape becomes deformed and certain areas of the tyre will wear more quickly. If the tyres aren’t checked before the MOT test, this could cause the car to fail. Badly worn tyres are the biggest cause of MOT fails.

If you have a car fitted with TPMS you will need a specialist to service them. Like all car components, tyre pressure monitors need maintenance and it’s recommended they’re serviced every 12 months or when a tyre is change. On 17th August 2014  Jason Addison and Paul Dunn completed the Severn valley cycle challenge, cycling some steep hills From Ironbridge, Bridgnorth, Chelmarsh, Hampton and Wyre Forest.

We completed the 40 mile ride in just 3.5 hours!

Even if you are not an expert with cars there are still a few things you can do to make sure it is ready for its MOT. These little precautions could save you having to pay out for repairs and make sure your car is not off the road for any longer than it needs to be. Here are a few simple checks you can do yourself:

Wipers and Windscreen

• Check your washers have water in them and they are working properly.
• Make sure your wipers are working properly and are not cracked or broken.
• Check your windscreen for cracks – it could fail depending on the extent of the crack.

Wheels & Tyres

• If your vehicle has alloy wheels check there are no wheel nuts missing.
• Check the tread on your tyres, in order to pass it’s MOT and to be within the legal limit your tyres’ tread must be at least 1.6mm.

Lights, Indicators & Hazards

• Check all your lights are working properly.
• Check that your indicators are in full working order.

General

• Check that your seatbelts fully engage in the seatbelt holster on both the front and the back of the car.

The main checks will need to be carried out by a qualified mechanic so leave them to the MOT tester. Making sure you have completed these checks can limit the cost of your MOT and could potentially stop it failing or reduce the repair costs.

The two day event, was organised and sponsored by Addison Tyre Centre (Tipton) and Bridgestone UK.

This allowed hundreds of F1 fans the chance to have their photo taken with the car. Visitors could also test their racing skills in an F1 simulator. Winning official F1 merchandise for fastest Laps were Liam Heard age 14 from Stourbridge and Michael Farley age 24 from Halesowen

Liam who won the under 16 category had been shopping with his mom at merry hill centre and had one go on the simulator and was disappointed with his time, when he got home he decided to cycle it all the way from Stourbridge for a few more goes He ended up getting the fastest lap time of the weekend!

The winner of the prize draw is Jeffrey Warren and his son Marc they have won two tickets to take a tour of the Red Bull Factory in Milton Keynes.

Jason Addison, director of the company said: “We were really pleased to have such a great turnout to the event and would like to thank all those who showed their support on the day. More than 300 people had their photos taken in the Ferrari and over 200 enjoyed a go on the simulator, which will provide them with a lasting memory. More importantly though, they helped to raise £2,000 for the Leukeamia Unit Appeal Fund – a charity that is close to my family’s hearts as my son was diagnosed with leukaemia when he was just five years old, thankfully he is now in remission and leading a normal life.

A family fun day that attracted more than 300 visitors keen to take advantage of a rare opportunity to see a genuine Formula 1 Ferrari has raised over a £1,000 for Leukaemia Care.

The day-long event, held on Sunday 7 September, was organised by Addison Tyre Centre On the High Street at Princes End in Tipton and allowed F1 fans the chance to have their photo taken with the car. Visitors could also test their racing skills in an F1 simulator.

Jason Addison, director of the company said: “We were really pleased to have such a great turnout to the event and would like to thank all those who showed their support on the day. More than 130 people had their photos taken in the Ferrari and 110 enjoyed a go on the simulator, which will provide them with a lasting memory. More importantly though, they helped to raise £1,073 for Leukaemia Care –

Leukaemia Care’s Fundraising Executive, Alice Watts said: “We are absolutely delighted that Jason’s event proved such a hit and that everyone had a great time. The money they raised will go a long way towards helping us to continue our vital work offering support to patients, their families, friends and carers. We’re the only cancer charity to offer round the clock support via our dedicated 24-hour freephone care Line and every penny really does make a difference to us.”

Beacon Radio attended the event with beacon bear to entertain the kids, the under 16’s winner of the fastest lap was Thomas Foster and the adult winner was Richard Taiwo. They both received some official F1 Caps and t shirts. The winner of the 2x tickets for the F1 factory tour was Neil Porter from Coseley
