Acrobat X won't open PDF files from network

Symptoms

Adobe Reader X will not open PDF files from a network location, even when the file permissions are accurate and appropriate. This was demonstrated by copying the file from the network share onto the local drive, and also by opening in RW mode other files at the same location.

When copied locally, the file will open in PDF Reader with no problems.

The end-user will receive error “Access is Denied”

From time to time, on the server side of things, you may want to enumerate all permissions to a user’s calendar. This command was tested with Exchange 2010, via the exchange management shell. It may work for Exchange 2007
This would probably work for other folders as well if you replace \Calendar

Blackberries, when used with an Enterprise server, can be powerful communication tools. However, they need to be activated to work, and this doesn't always work as properly as it could.

This tip is valid for Outlook 2007, and probably 2010. I don't have access to earlier versions at present.

I've previously given some advice on how to find the version of Exchange using the Exchange shell. However, there may be a time when you do not have access to the actual exchange server, but you still want to find out, for whatever reason. Well, you can do so from Outlook.

IOS - Configurations

Common sense suggests that when you're playing with switches and routers, you ensure you save changes to your configuration files. With switches and routers, there are actually two different configurations: Startup-configuration and Running-configuration. These are exactly as they seem:

Startup Configuration - this is the configuration that loads when you boot the switch or router up. It's usually stored on flash memory.

It's not unusual for companies to use a Public Folder to maintain records of external client contacts.
