Last time we met, QMobile had quite a flagship to show off with the Z6. Looking extra sharp and more than decently equipped, QMobile has toned some of the specs down but their next phone is looking even more impressive.

The QMobile Noir Z7 may have lost some screen and camera resolution but it managed to shed some grams and millimeters off the waistline along the way too. It briefly held the world's slimmest smartphone title until Oppo slipped a note under the door, in the form of an R5.

But even without a world title on its resume, the QMobile Noir Z7 makes a fantastic first impression. An AMOLED screen within an all-glass shell reinforced by a metal frame - a premium combo and a weight of the unbelievable sub-100g.

On the inside, the QMobile Noir Z7 is powered by the same Mediatek chipset as the z6, with an octa-core processor and a quad-core graphics accelerator. The camera department is more than reasonable too - an 8MP rear and a 5MP selfie cam. Unlike its premium predecessor, the Noir Z7 launches straight on Android KitKat, skinned with the Amigo launcher we've already seen.

The Noir Z7 is certain to impress at the very first touch. The feel in hand is unique - never mind the slim profile, you just expect a certain heft to that handset. And you can't help but be amazed at just how light it is.

The slim profile forced a few compromises though. The non-expandable storage is something many users have gotten used to but the single storage option being 16GB may as well be a deal-breaker to some. The non-exchangeable battery is quite common nowadays, and the capacity is actually decent for a phone this slim. 2050mAh isn't a bad achievement compared to the 1860mAh of the Samsung Galaxy Alpha - which is quite slim on its own but not nearly as slim as the QMobile Noir Z7.

The missing LTE connectivity isn't a big deal perhaps considering the main target markets. The thing that raises the biggest question is the amount of RAM and we'll be exploring this in the performance chapter for sure.

Lets talk about Design and build quality

The two do look very much alike with dual sheets of glass, each covered by Gorilla Glass 3, front and rear, a metal frame holding the whole thing together.The gold and white color combination works great for the QMobile Noir Z7, but it's not just the successful mixture that's making it a memorable, beautiful phone. Certainly an attention grabber, the QMobile Noir Z7 has a near unique feel in hand too.The phone is of solid build and its golden frame successfully hides all signs of the assembly process. Of course, the glass design means you'll have to handle the Noir Z7 with extra care - just one drop may cost you a lot and we don't mean just money.

The QMobile Noir Z7 is a pleasure to handle, perfectly fitting in both hand and pocket. The glass panels may become slippery and compromise the handling, but the sturdy metal frame with tapered edges will compensate for this inconvenience. Solid, light, and beautiful - it's a design that stands out.

Above the 4.8" Super AMOLED screen we find the usual combination of an ambient light sensor, a proximity sensor and a wide-angle 5MP front-facing camera, either side of the earpiece.

The control deck of three capacitive keys is below the display using the old-school layout - Menu, Home, Back.

As for the hardware controls, they are all on the right side of the phone - you get a Power/Lock key and a volume rocker - both made out of metal.The microSIM compartment is the only thing of interest on the left and you'll need the pin to eject it.

The QMobile Noir Z7 has a 4.8" Super AMOLED screen of 720p resolution and 306ppi. It's nicely saturated, it's bright and contrasty, and has low reflectivity.

The color rendering is great, with punchy colors typical of AMOLED screens. There are no dedicated color presets like on the Galaxy flagships.

The Noir Z7 screen proved slightly brighter than the z6 screen, on par with the Galaxy S5 mini and Galaxy Alpha display performances. Outdoors in the summer sun, the brightness comes a bit short though. Since it's a Super AMOLED display, the stellar contrast should hardly surprise. The sunlight legibility is great too, helped by the non-reflective screen, but as we said, it isn't as impressive as the Galaxy Alpha and the Galaxy S5 mini.

Now I am going to tell you about this phone's Battery life

The QMobile Noir Z7 features a 2,050mAh battery QMobile Noir Z7 couldn't match the performance of its predecessor when it comes on 3G calls, but it did better on the web browsing test and the same on the looped video playback.

The Noir Z7 standby endurance is outstanding though, even without any battery saving enhancements turned on. It could last you nearly a month on a single charge, which is amazing. This surely helped for a better endurance rating.

Now I am going to tell you Performance of the phone

QMobile Noir Z7 is powered by the mid-range MediaTek MT6592 chipset, which translates into an octa-core Cortex-A7 processor at 1.7GHz, Mali-450MP4 GPU and 1GB of RAM. We've already seen the same chip ticking inside the bigger z6 and it offered quite uninspiring performance in the graphics department, mostly because of the higher resolution display.

Now that the QMobile Noir Z7 uses a lower-res 720p display (as opposed to 1080p), we hope things will be fine this time around. The 1GB RAM is still a concern and we'll explore thoroughly if this is a problem or not.

Now, our first test is GeekBench 3, which gauges the overall processor performance. Even with eight cores inside, the Cortex-A7 isn't a powerful CPU core, so we didn't expect much. The noir z7 did better than the HTC Desire 816, which also runs on MT6592, but its score is behind the rest of the MT6592 gang.

The AnTuTu 5 also takes in consideration GPU and memory performance. The QMobile Noir Z7 posted a good score by the AnTuTu charts, but it's once again uninspiring when compared to other smartphones powered by the same MT6592 chip.

QMobile Noir Z7 isn't doing well in all departments and we guess the insufficient RAM might be an issue at some occasions. The interface experience is smooth in the beginning, but once you start opening apps and using it on a daily basis, the QAmigo 2.0 OS, becomes clumsy and there is this really annoying stuttering when scrolling panes or menus.

The smartphone did well as far as handling apps is concerned - it packed enough processing power to do properly in running office apps, cloud services and popular games. 3D games run OK too, but some more demanding eventually eat all the resources and the result is good ol' lag.

Overall, the QMobile Noir Z7 is good enough for its class but either because insufficient RAM or because of improper optimizations, the performance isn't on par with the competition.

so now I am going to discuss camera performance 8MP camera does OK

The QMobile Noir Z7 S5.1 camera uses an 8MP camera that shoots in a maximum resolution of 3264 x 2448 pixels. There is also a LED flash to help you with some low-light photos.

The settings menu can be accessed either via its dedicated shortcut or with a swipe from the top of the screen. It gives you access to HDR mode, Auto scene, geo-tagging, resolution settings, anti-banding, among others. QMobile has included some nifty camera features in the noir z7 via the Charm Camera app. It supports Beauty Face, Live filters, Stamps and PPT (for presentations). It could have been better of all those modes were included in the standard camera app though. The QMobile Noir Z7 camera samples have an average level of resolved detail when viewed at 1:1 magnification - the noise reduction algorithm has taken its toll on the fine detail. The dynamic range is low, which is really annoying in those sunny pictures. The exposure, contrast and colors are good, which makes for nice looking photos when you view them fitted on HD or Full HD monitor.

Conclusion

The QMobile Noir Z7 is a phone you'll want to pick up as soon as you lay eyes on it. Once you've had it in your hand, we think you'll want to keep it. Long story short, the Noir z7 hot looks and unique hand feel can make even semi-geeks forget about performance and software package and otherwise sensible buyers may take the plunge not thinking for once about after-market support and resale value. Qmobile has come up with a smartpohone, which looks more premium than most flagships today.

Speaking of, the QMobile Noir Z7 isn't a flagship, far from it, but it doesn't cost a fortune either. And, for the most part, it sounds pretty good on paper: an octa-core processor that's known to behave, a Super AMOLED screen, a high-res selfie camera, and Android KitKat right out of the box. A solid checklist for a midrange device.

The noir z7 performance as we measured it turned out acceptable but hardly a match for the looks. We soon found a single gig of RAM was doing the MediaTek MT6592 chipset and its octa-core processor no favor, even with all the management tools and Kit Kat optimizations available. The graphics chip isn't doing any better either.

Our initial excitement took another hit with the quiet loudspeaker and disappointing camera performance. On a positive note, the smartphone offers a pretty good quality screen, decent battery life and comes bundled with a rich set of accessories.

1st error which occurred recently was the page Login issue when you try to login to Libertagia it does not Login
There are two Reasons :

Design and display

The design of the QMobile Noir A750 is sleek and simple. The device has a plastic body measuring just 8.9mm and its aluminum frame is certainly a nice touch, adding a dash of premium to the package. The frame also acts as an antenna, boosting signal strength and in turn reception quality. You can also rely on the Corning Gorilla Glass at the front to avoid scratches and things thrown at it.

The QMobile Noir A750 sports a 5-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels that results in a near-Retina 294ppi density. The 720p screen offers good brightness levels and good contrast and nicely punchy colors. Viewing angles came out surprisingly good, too. Furthermore, the display is very sensitive, enabling a cool unlocking mode, where in you can blow air to the screen to unlock your smartphone.

A chrome grill that serves as the earpiece, the sensor array and the 5-megapixel front camera are placed above the display. The bezel is wide but it's not flat as it meets and the edges and there's some embossing, similar to the Galaxy SIII.

The phone is surrounded by an aluminium frame in the middle, which gives it a premium look and makes it feel sturdy. The company says that it also acts as the cellular antenna. You will also notice that the frame has small white bands at the left side, at the bottom and at the top.

The Power/ Screen-lock key is located at the right side of the phone, while the Volume rocker key is place at the left side. Both these keys are also made of metal but are a bit rickety as they are not firmly fixed. When you shake the phone, you'll also hear some sound coming from the same area due to their movement. The Micro-USB port is located at the bottom. The 3.5mm headset jack sits at the top of the phone.

The phone's 5-inch HD IPS screen sports a resolution of 720x1280 pixels and a colour depth of 16.7 million. Thanks to the higher resolution, text, icons and images look much sharper compared to qHD phones. There was no pixelation. However, we felt that the screen's colour temperature was skewed towards the colder side, with whites carrying a blue tinge.

Battery Life

The QMobile Noir A750 has slightly low battery life and the constant use of included apps does not help. On average you will get 3-4 hours of continuos talk time. Real Life Tests:

Talk Time : 4 Hours on 3G / 6 Hours on 2G

Internet : 3 Hours on 3G / 5 hours on Wifi

Music : Upto 12 Hours

Video : 3 Hours

The Good

The cameras are also an advantage on the QMobile Noir A750 and those with a taste for mobile photography will truly come to appreciate the device for that. The phone achieves what most phones by sector 2 manufacturers dont, premium feel.

Camera

The QMobile Noir A750 has a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front facing camera. The app includes Normal, HDR, Face Beauty, Smile detection, Exposure compensation, Panorama, Photosphere(multi angle view) modes. It also offers a burst mode, letting users click up to 99 shots at once. The photo mode allows users to modify settings like Exposure, colour effect, ISO and white balance, among others. There's a self timer of up to 10 seconds as well.

We experienced a minor lag when we tried to focus on an object and press the shutter. We also noticed that there is minor delay between two consecutive camera shots in the continuous shot mode. This makes it hard to capture images quickly. The quality of the pictures taken during daylight was decent. However, photos taken indoors under artificial light were a bit grainy and at times looked different than the actual setting. The camera tends to soften the tone to a cooler shade.

Q-Mobile Noir - Quatro Z4 Review By AdilTech

In Pakistan one specific brand has caught our eye. QMobile has differentiated itself with its refreshing focus on design and hardware quality. Handsets like QMOBILE A8 and A900 stood out from the competition being a device that both looked and also offered a very unique experience to the user. With the Q-Mobile Noir Quatro Z4 is kicking this up a notch. We’d previously done a preview of the device and here’s our review of the Q-Mobile Noir Quatro Z4 The company’s flagship device sets the benchmark very high for design in mid range handsets. The phone has a unibody form factor with sharp and clean lines. The material is polycarbonate and feels reassuringly solid. The handset weighs deceptively light.
The front of the phone is reminiscent of the iPhone. Indeed, the handset appears to be a much enlarged version of Apple’s popular smartphone. The screen is a 5 inch panel and is absolutely stunning but more on that later. Above the display is the speaker grille and next to it is a front facing camera. An RGB notification LED lies at the far right corner.
Over on the right side of the phone you spot the volume rocker that lies almost flush with the handset but still manages to provide decent feedback. On the left side you spot the iPhone style SIM card slot. You’ll need a pin to extract your micro SIM card from here. There are no slots for microSD cards on this phone so you’ll have to make do with the built in storage.
Over at the top is the the 3.5mm audio jack and the power switch. The power switch is slightly off center but not entirely to the right. While holding the phone, your finger rests naturally on top of the button. It is interesting to see this level of attention to detail that is not very common outside of the top smartphone brands. At the bottom is the micro USB slot with the two speaker grilles next to it.
The back of the handset is a swathe of pearly white plastic with a high gloss finish. Surprisingly, this does not look tacky at all. The high quality plastics used ensure that the handset in fact looks and feels just as good as a top end Lumia device that uses similar materials. To the top left corner is where you see the 13MP camera with a single LED flash. The Q-Mobile Noir Quatro Z4 is a stunning device with a slim 8mm profile that manages to slip into any pocket. Yes, the handset does have a fairly large footprint but that’s true for most phones with a 5 inch display.

Q-Mobile Noir Quatro Z4 is equipped with a 2000 mAh battery that generally proved to be enough for a day of fairly heavy usage. You’ll definitely have to charge it up overnight though. Software optimizations on the phone play a major role. . Other optimizations include active management of connections to facilitate longer battery life. Overall we were fairly satisfied by the results we got here. Connectivity options include 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. The sensors onboard range from Proximity sensor to the G-sensor, E-Compass, Gyroscope Sensor and Light Sensor. There’s 32GB of storage on the phone of which about 23 is available and you cannot expand this either.

Conclusion

The Q-Mobile Noir Quatro Z4 is part of a rare breed of phones that have a very design oriented bent. The handset has a design that can possibly be termed as an instant classic. Not only is it ergonomic but also genuinely beautiful though perhaps not the most original. However that’s where majority of the positivities end for the most part.

Moving on to performance, the handset is powered by a 1.5Ghz Quadcore MediaTek MT6589T processor paired with a PowerVR SGX 544MP GPU. There’s 2GB of RAM and 32GB of built in storage. Of this, about 23GB is available. While the specifications on paper sound quite adequate, the fact of the matter is that the interface layer on the phone is just a bit too heavy for the processor to handle. As it is, the MT6589T chip struggles with a stock Android build when paired with a Full HD display, here the added animations cause the phone to stutter through out the interface.

Applications on the other hand are smooth for the most part. Using an alternate launcher is a good way to hide the interface lag related problems. While not very indicative of real life performance, you can check out some of the synthetic benchmark results below.

Without a doubt, the screen on the Q-Mobile Noir Quatro Z4is gorgeous. In fact, it is one of the most beautiful displays we have seen on any phone. The resolution is 1920 x 1080 and pixel density amounts to ~ 441ppi. Color reproduction tends to be a bit oversaturated but brightness levels are top notch. The display also has some of the widest viewing angles we’ve experienced lately.

Sunlight visibility is good but not the best but that’s a formula that only Nokia seems to have perfected so far. qmobile is sourcing the 13MP camera modules from Sony and it has second generation BSI technology for better low light imaging. The camera module sourced from Sony has the Exmor R sensor. Despite that we weren’t too impressed by shots from the phone, images in anything but excellent lighting show grain and inaccurate white balance.

As can be seen above, the camera struggled with the shot and a lot of details were lost especially in the green areas due to rather aggressive noise reduction algorithms.
The limited dynamic range was visible here as the camera has completely overblown the highlights and has lost all details in the background.
Macro focussing on the camera is pretty decent and you can get close up shots quite easily. You’ll want to hold the phone very steady though as the shot to shot time isn’t the fastest and images tend to turn out blurry.
Video quality is decent though we noticed that framerate drops were fairly often. An EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization) mode is also available that we found to be surprisingly effective in removing camera shake given the lack of optical image stabilization in the module.

Apple is looking into creating iPhones with bigger screens, specifically 4.7 and 5.7-inch models, as early as next year according to a report from Reuters. There are also rumors that cheaper iPhone models will be offered in a range of colors.

While Apple has not yet commented on the speculation of larger-screened models, it's not inconceivable to believe that such a device will come out eventually. The Cupertino company is currently facing a pretty had battle against a host of 4.7" to 5" high-end droids, which are eating into the iPhone's market share. And last years' iPhone 5 chose that the company is willing to leave the 3.5-inch comfort zone it has been inhabiting since the its first smartphone debuted in 2007.

Apart from the anticipated iPhone 5S, Apple is also expected to launch a cheaper plastic model with 5-6 different color options, to differentiate it from the mainstream iPhone, which traditionally only comes in black or white. Pricing of the cheaper iPhones could be as low as $99, although any expected release date could be pushed back to 2014.

Other Reuters' sources indicate that test production of both the iPhone 5S and plastic multicolor models will be beginning next month, with production being ramped up in August for an anticipated September launch date. Some 20 million plastic iPhones are expected to ship in Q4 of this year, according to a source in Asia.

HTC BUTTERFLY S,SONY XPERIA Z ULTRA, Nokia EOS

HTC is scaling its lauded One flagship down and up – we already saw the One mini, now thanks to some spy shots we're getting a closer look at the Butterfly S, an update on the company's first 1080p phone with One hardware.

One of the most noticeable changes is that the loudspeaker on the back has been removed, instead there are two BoomSound loudspeakers on the front. Those maintain the design of the Butterfly speakers, instead of going for the One look.

In fact, the whole HTC Butterfly S sticks closely to the original design, which means a polycarbonate exterior instead of the aluminum unibody that has become the signature of the HTC One.
Another One trait – the two button arrangement has been replaced by standard three capacitive buttons.
Rumored specs for the HTC Butterfly S include a 5" 1080p screen as the original, Snapdragon 600 chipset (upgrade from S4 Pro), UltraPixel camera and microSD card slot.
HTC has sent out invites for a June 19 event when it will officially announce the Butterfly S and show off the new Desire 600. That's a day ahead of Samsung's Ativ and Galaxy event.

The soon-to-be-announced Sony Xperia ZU (standing for Z Ultra) has appeared in a photo taken in the wild. That's not the first time we take a glimpse of Sony's first phablet, but it's the first time we see its 6.44-inch display turned on.

Just like the Xperia Z, the Xperia Z Ultra will have a Nexus-like trio of on-screen buttons at the bottom of its full HD display. The purported photo of the smartphone above might very well be fabricated, but it looks pretty convincing to us.

We've already seen Sony's hint of the Xperia Z Ultra (codenamed Togari) in the official press invitation, confirming the device will feature a really thin profile, but we don't yet know how the sheer size of the smartphone will affect its weight.

Regardless, the photo voids a rumor from yesterday, which suggested Sony is going to make some changes to the way its custom UI looked with Android 4.2. Seeing from the photo above, that couldn't be further from the truth, as the Xperia Z Ultra seems to look in line with previous versions of the UI.

Update: Many of you believe that the smartphone on the photo is in fact the Xperia ZR and upon a closer inspection we agree it's a possibility. However, the smartphone shown on the photo looks to be a lot bigger than 4.55 inches, which lead us to believe its the Xperia Z Ultra.

Nevertheless, many of you are right in thinking the edges of the phone in the photo above aren't as straight as previous leaks of the Xperia Z Ultra have showed. Since there isn't a very clear photo of the Xperia Z Ultra yet, it's anyone's guess what we are actually looking at.

Meanwhile, a new alleged photo

We already got familiar with the upcoming Nokia EOS cameraphone and concluded it looked pretty similar to the Nokia Lumia 920.

However, Vizileaks, one of the main sources of the Nokia EOS leaks has taken yet another photo of the Windows Phone 8-running cameraphone to show the world just how visually similar the new Nokia flagship is to its predecessor.

Not many differences can be spotted at first sight, but looking closer reveals that Nokia has changed the position of the logo and the front-facing camera on the EOS. The screen of the Nokia EOS also extends just a bit more, than the Lumia 920, leaving a very thin plastic frame below it.
Naturally, the Nokia EOS stands at an angle as its camera hump protrudes quite a lot. We are eager to compare it to the recently announced Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom, but Nokia hasn't mentioned anything yet about a potential official announcement of the EOS.
