Many of us face the issue of forgot password of joomla administrator. The password cannot be reset suing the ‘Forgot password’ link on front-end of website. We need to reset it from database. I am listing here 3 methods to reset or recover joomla admin password.

Method I :- Using simple update SQL query.

Step 1 – Navigate to phpMyAdmin and select the database of the joomla wesbite.

Step 2 – Click SQL at top and run the following SQL query

UPDATE `#__users` SET `password` = MD5('NEW_PASSWORD') WHERE `username` = "admin" ;

Where: ‘#_’ is the table prefix
‘NEW_PASSWORD’ is the new password
Replace ‘admin’ with the username of you super user.

Method II :- Change password directly in the table.

Step 1 – Navigate to phpMyAdmin and select the database of the joomla wesbite.

Step 2 – Find and open the ‘#__users’ table and then click on edit icon for the super user you want t o reset.

Step 3 – Select md5 from the function dropdown beside password field and add new passwor in the password field.

Method III :- Creating new Super administrator.

Step 1 – Navigate to phpMyAdmin and select the database of the joomla wesbite.

Step 2 – Click SQL tab at the top and run the following SQL query.

Recently I come with a HTML 5 Video player which is highly customizable and that too with the help of simple CSS code. Some of you might have used it , its video js.

HTML5, includes specifications for a video tag, that's meant to allow web developers to add a video to a page in the same way they would add an image. In order for this to work, web browser developers have built video playback functionality into their browsers.

HTML5 video can improve video performance by not requiring a second application (a plugin) to be running, and it will work everywhere.

Video.js is a JavaScript and CSS library that makes it easier to work with and build on HTML5 video. Its is also known as HTML5 Video Player.
