It’s almost here! Photoshop World 2026, sponsored by Adobe, kicks off online Monday with our pre-conference sessions, and I hope you’ll be joining us.

We’ve got an incredible group of instructors this year teaching Photoshop, Lightroom, photography, AI, creativity, business, and a whole lot more, live, across three tracks, for four days. I’ll be teaching, too, including a pre-conference session on Monday, and I’m really looking forward to getting everybody together again.

And there’s plenty happening outside the classes. We’ve got our Pre-Conference Meet-Up, Keynote presented by Adobe, PSW Film Fest, An Evening with Richard Bernabe, Late Night with Larry Becker & Guests, the Guru Awards, and all the other things that make Photoshop World feel like Photoshop World.

That community part is a big deal for us. The chats are open throughout the conference, so you can talk with instructors, ask questions, catch up with old friends, meet some new ones, and be part of everything happening live.

One Last Chance to Save $200

If you haven’t signed up yet, our final $200-off offer ends Sunday, September 13 at 11:59 PM EDT.

Check out my video below, and I’ll tell you a little more about what we’ve got planned. Then grab your ticket and come hang out with us starting Monday. And remember, you’ll have access to the replays for a full year, so you can go back and watch anything you missed (or watch your favorites again).

Get your Photoshop World ticket here.

Wildlife doesn’t wait. When something incredible happens in front of your camera, you might only have a few seconds to capture it.

That’s the idea behind Moose Peterson’s new course. Instead of figuring out exposure, focal length, or your gear when the action starts, Moose shows you how to make those decisions ahead of time.

You’ll learn how he prepares his cameras before heading into the field, from firmware checks and sensor cleaning to working with long lenses and getting exposure dialed in. Moose also covers using flash for color, choosing between teleconverters and crop mode, and even shares his teddy bear exercise for practicing exposure before the real wildlife shows up.

The goal is to make the technical side of photography second nature, so when the moment happens, you’re free to concentrate on the subject and the story.

Watch Moose tell you more about it below, and then check it out today (you can watch the first lesson for FREE)!

Waterfall photographer Kevin Adams shares tips for choosing shutter speeds, using a polarizing filter, finding stronger compositions, working in overcast light, and even shooting waterfalls at night.

This week on The Grid, Scott Kelby and Erik Kuna were joined by waterfall and night photographer Kevin Adams for a great discussion on how to photograph waterfalls and get the look you want in-camera.

Kevin covered one of the biggest questions photographers have when shooting waterfalls: what shutter speed should you use? Rather than relying on one setting for every scene, he explained how different shutter speeds change the look and feel of moving water and why experimenting with several exposures can give you more options.

He also shared why a polarizing filter is one of his most important tools for waterfall photography, how overcast and even rainy conditions can work in your favor, and why finding a strong foreground can add depth and dimension to the scene. Kevin even shared tips for photographing waterfalls at night for a completely different look.

Scott and Erik also shared the latest news on the 18th annual Worldwide Photo Walk, happening Saturday, October 3, plus updates on Photoshop World and upcoming photography workshops and events.

If waterfalls are on your shooting list, this episode has plenty of ideas to try the next time you head out.

Watch the replay below.

If Lightroom Classic has ever felt more complicated than it needs to be, sometimes the problem isn’t Lightroom. It’s how everything was set up in the first place.

In this new class, Rob Sylvan goes back to the fundamentals and shows you how to build a Lightroom Classic workflow that will serve you well for years.

You’ll learn how the catalog really works, how to create a reliable backup strategy, and how to make smart decisions about importing, previews, folders, and presets. Rob also tackles one of those problems nobody wants to see: missing photos.

Whether you’re just getting started with Lightroom Classic or you’ve been using it for years and aren’t entirely sure your setup is as solid as it could be, this class is a great way to get everything on the right track. You can preview two lessons from the class for free, then jump into the full class when you’re ready.

Last week on The Grid, Scott Kelby and Erik Kuna welcomed Photoshop World instructors Lisa Carney, Rob Sylvan, and Karen Hutton for a sneak peek at what they have planned for this year’s conference, happening September 14–17.

For Lightroom users, Rob shared a preview of his sessions focused on one of the topics that seems to confuse photographers the most: the Lightroom Classic catalog. He talked about simplifying your catalog workflow, understanding where your photos actually live, and getting organized so Lightroom works with you instead of against you.

Lisa Carney brought AI into the conversation, sharing how she’s incorporating tools like Adobe Firefly into real-world retouching workflows, while Karen Hutton explored the more creative side of photography and what makes certain images connect with us emotionally.

Scott also put Photoshop’s generative AI through its paces in a live demo, Erik shared tips for photographing a lunar eclipse, and the crew even got to check out some brand-new Photoshop features that dropped during the show.

It was a fun preview of what’s coming at Photoshop World 2026, sponsored by Adobe, with plenty of useful tips mixed in.

It’s that time again. My Worldwide Photo Walk is back, and this year we’re walking on Saturday, October 3!

This is always one of my favorite days of the year, when photographers all over the world get together in their cities, grab their cameras, make some new friends, take a ton of photos, and just have a really fun day together.

But there’s an even bigger reason we walk.

The Worldwide Photo Walk helps raise money for the kids at Springs of Hope Kenya, and this year we’re putting an even bigger focus on that mission. Every walk, every walker, and every donation helps support these kids with food, shelter, education, and a safe place to call home.

Right now, though, we need leaders!

If you’d like to bring photographers together in your town, choose a great route, and lead the way on October 3, we’d love to have you. And we’ve made things a little easier for our leaders this year, too. You won’t have to worry about judging a local photo contest. Everyone will submit to one central gallery, and I’ll personally choose the finalists and overall winner.

So, what do you say? Help us get your city on the map, bring your local photography community together, and help us make a difference for the kids at Springs of Hope Kenya.

Ready to lead a walk or want to learn more about how it works? Details and sign up here.

Hope you’ll join us!

-Scott

When was the last time you actually cleaned your camera gear? It’s one of those things that’s easy to put off until sensor dust starts showing up in your images or something isn’t working the way it should.

In his new class, Erik Kuna shares the camera maintenance routine he’s developed over 15 years of shooting in some seriously tough conditions. He’s performed more than 1,000 sensor cleanings without damaging a single sensor, so he knows a thing or two about doing it safely.

Erik shows you how to spot sensor dust, clean your sensor step by step, properly care for your lenses, and avoid everyday products that can actually damage your equipment.

It only takes a little time, and knowing how to do it correctly can help keep your gear working reliably for years.

This week on The Grid, Scott Kelby and Erik Kuna welcomed wildlife and landscape photographer Richard Bernabe for a special Wildlife & Landscape Blind Photo Critique episode.

From bald eagles and wolves to waterfalls, autumn scenes, and dramatic landscapes, the critiques offered plenty of opportunities to talk about what can be improved both in-camera and later in Lightroom. Scott, Erik, and Richard covered white balance, cropping, distracting backgrounds, harsh highlights, shutter speed, and using light to help separate wildlife from its surroundings.

The editing discussions also showed how relatively small adjustments can make a big difference. Pulling back bright areas, cleaning up distractions, warming or cooling white balance, and making a tighter crop can all help direct attention where you want it.

Richard also shared an important reminder for landscape and wildlife photographers: sometimes the best editing decision starts before you ever open Lightroom. Knowing when the light isn’t working, when to change your position, and when to simply wait can make all the difference.

Watch the replay below and pick up some great ideas for your next wildlife or landscape edit.

This week on The Grid, Scott Kelby, Erik Kuna, and Dylan Kotecki shared a bunch of practical travel photography tips for getting better images without making your trip harder than it needs to be.

Erik talked about why getting up early may be the cheapest crowd-removal tool you’ll ever find, planning your locations around the best light, and looking for that “magic minute” when everything comes together. He also shared how using a longer lens and telephoto compression can give familiar locations a completely different look.

Scott tackled the travel side of things, with real-world tips for dealing with jet lag, luggage, transportation, currency, and planning your shooting day. The goal is simple: spend less time dealing with travel headaches and more time making pictures.

Dylan also joined the show to demonstrate several creative effects in ON1 Photo RAW MAX 2026, including motion effects, double exposures, and depth-based lighting.

There’s plenty here to help you plan smarter, find better light, and come home with something more interesting than the same postcard shot everyone else gets.

Catch the replay below.
