Momma's Life Ramblings

Our Generation Ice Cream Truck

2016-04-09T21:06:00.001-05:00

We actually found this today at Target. It was showing unavailable online and going for around $200 on ebay. This is what Emma saved her money up for only for us to think it wasn't being made anymore and her to decide to get Kit. Needless to say she had about half the money saved again for this so she will be doing chores to help pay for the rest.

Gilmore Girls Coloring Book

2016-03-18T14:12:00.001-05:00

So this came today, I ordered it off Etsy. It's cute though some of the images are a little off to me but I was an art major so I may be overly critical. And I think a few of the quotes are just slightly off as well. Maybe for copyright reasons?

Vintage Coloring Book

2016-03-15T21:45:00.001-05:00

Well I strayed from coloring Johanna Basford stuff for the first time in a year...

Gilmore Girls

Doll poptarts

2016-02-23T18:01:00.001-06:00

We made doll pop tarts... Now for a toaster!

Samantha Parkington

2016-02-17T14:41:00.001-06:00

So I restrung my 20 some year old Samantha doll today and It's crazy how different her legs and arms feel. It's like she is new again! Add that to my list of random (mostly) useless stuff I know how to do! Now to find a brown hair extension/highlight to sew in where her hair is faling out in the back.

Dollhouse Tour

2016-02-13T17:14:00.001-06:00

Going live...soon...hopefully...says 25 hours to upload...comcast sucks.

Doll crafts

2016-02-11T21:42:00.001-06:00

So we made a doll carrier today out of scrap fabric, doll rock candy out of tooth picks and propeller beads and got the first coat of paint on some Harry Potter wands! I also sewed up some pillows from scrap fabric and sewed a pillow and blanket from an old scrap piece of a flower garden quilt for Samantha. Oh! And sewed a few more pairs of doll undies. Figured get it all done while the machine was out!

Well we spent most of the day working and playing in the dollhouse. We are trying to get it ready for an updated dollhouse tour.

Finished today!

18" Doll Undies

2016-01-29T23:25:00.001-06:00

So I decided to upcycle some of Emma's old barley if ever worn undies into some doll undies. The dolls were seriously lacking in the underwear department!

I think they came out pretty cute! I used the exhisting wasteband and a rough estimate from a pattern I saw online and my sewing machine.

Been horribly ill and stuck inside...

2016-01-21T16:00:00.001-06:00

So lack of updates is due to me being sicker than I can remember in years. Here is a pic of my current work in progress though for now...

Videos have still been going up on my YouTube channel though because I pre recorded and edited and scheduled an upload.

Fangirl moment!

Goodwill Scores

2016-01-09T12:58:00.001-06:00

We were in Edgars Coffee having breakfast this morning and decided to scoke out goodwill for any doll stuff and snow gloves for Emma. Little did we know we would score some major deals. We got a big doll sized couch and bed and an American Girl mini doll illuma room that still lights up. I'm not sure what all it originally came with but there is a ton there and we got it all for $15! We are so excited!

Neck Strings

2016-01-02T14:23:00.001-06:00

So is American Girl getting rid of neck strings?! I sure hope not. That really seemed to be one major thing quality wise that set them apart from other brands. I'm just confused why the new girl of the year, Lea Clark has a ziptie instead...why make one doll differently?

Coloring in

2015-12-26T11:23:00.001-06:00

I see lots of coloring in my future! Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!

New OG Doll!

2015-12-23T14:16:00.001-06:00

So a new Our Generation doll showed up at my parents house for Emma. Of course she had to bring her home to meet the dolls! We have also been renovating/adding on to the dollhouse the best we can so more posts to come. Here are a few pics of Coral meeting her new housemates!
