Adventures of a Suburban Kitty has moved to a new home over on WordPress. I even have my own domain now. I hope you'll all follow me over to my new home at http://pumpkinpuddy.com/. Things are a little rough over there so I hope you'll excuse the way my blog looks while I learn what I'm doing. I also still have to go through all my old posts and make sure all the links work. Since there are over

I really love blogger. Really. It's simple and straightforward and lets me blog without too much fuss. I can't do anything fancy, but I don't need to. With the introduction of Google+, Google has taken on an anti-user attitude lately. This makes me very very sad. They're insisting that all users must use real names and be real people. Well, I may be using my real name, but I'm a kitty

Remember a couple of weeks ago I said Evie had a big adventure coming up? Well, she went to see the band Chicago at Red Rocks Amphitheatre! They were playing with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra. Red Rocks is absolutely amazing. It has to be the most beautiful place on earth to hear a concert. And Evie got to go there. There's not much else to say about it with words. Pictures are the best way,

Happy Caturday. It's been a while since I did a caturday blog, but I got something special to do this week. I'm participating in the Lainey's Pawtique & Bakery road trip! Here are me & EK eating our special roadtrip cookies. You can't see the cookies cuz our fat heads are in the way. MOL. They were quite nommy. I'm supposed to tell you something about myself. First, I got this from @pandafur over at http://pandafur.blogspot.com/ Now, I've won this award before from my pal @mariodacat, so you all will have to forgive me if I don't do another list. Gonna be a short one today folks. I just want to wish everyone a happy and safe 4th of July! While we're all enjoying ourselves, let's remember those less fortunate. The Art Auction for Joplin is still going on over at @cheshirek's blog. Please go bid. The stuff up for auction is all very cool. The last item is an amazing quilt made by @MaggieTKat's mom. As much as I'd hate to be outbid for it,

Everyone knows cats like boxes. Well the box I'm gonna show is a furry special box because it came from @Mulder_cat's and @Scully_cat's @Staffpurrson. It's one of the famed Harry & David boxes that Mulder and Scully like so much. It arrived with all kinds of goodies in it! I got most of the goodies. Candy and EK got the box and the fleece pad.

Happy Sunday efurryone! My Sunday started out perfect. All three of us kitties snuggled in bed with mom for a really long time while she finished a book she was reading. It must have been a big book cause it took hours and hours to read. Plus there were scritches and games of 'chase mom's fingers under the blankie'. It was lovely. Now for my excitement this weekend. I got two packages - one from

As you know, June is Adopt-A-Cat Month®. In honor of Adopt-A-Cat Month® I've added a new page to my blog - I Need a Home Please! On it is a widget that features cats from my favorite shelter, Duncan's Place, a Cat Sanctuary. If you click on it, it takes you to Petfinder.com and you can look up pets everywhere. It looks like this: I hope you'll visit Petfinder.com. You can get a widget like

Hi everyone! Sorry I'm a couple of days late with my blog. I had no typist for the weekend. *glares at mom* I'm gonna let Lippe use the blog today to tell you about his visit here. We've been having a great time playing with my toys and my fursibs, but that was all when Mom wasn't home so we don't have many pictures of us playing. Lippe's gonna tell you about his adventures with Mom that I

EK here. I'm borrowing the blog for today to show you my meezer colors. I know I look more like a tabby than a meezer with my beautiful cream and orange markings, but just look at me! I have blue eyes, I'm built like a meezer (I'm little for a boy cat) and I have a meezer meow. And Cathy at Duncan's Place told Mom that I'm part meezer when Mom picked me out. So I think I get to show off my

Mom and I had the great pleasure of meeting her mom, Vicki (bottom row, 3rd from right), at Blogpaws West 2010.  I wish I could write as beautifully as @mariodacat, but I can't. So I'm going to send you over to Mario's site to read his tribute to one of the nicest anipals I've had the pleasure

I'm a very bad kitty. I'm way behind on posting about some prizes I won. That's right my furriends. 15 winners! Can you believe it! I can't believe they picked my little blog for this. I'm very honored. Hill's is doing this for a furry impawtant reason. We kitties are

Happy Sunday! I'm turning the blog over to Evie today so she can tell you about the trip she took last weekend. Evie here. I got to go on a car trip with Mom and her furriend, Chris. We went to a town called Idaho Springs. It's an old mining town not very far west of Denver. From the highway you can see what's left of some of the mine openings and some other mining equipment that's been left

Let me start by saying Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there no matter how many legs, paws, wings, whatever your 'kids' have. Ok folks. I said I'd announce the winner of the Nutro Prize drawing today, so here goes. I had 15 entries and I put all the names in a hat. Well, not literally. I used Random.org to pick the name. So here's the list as they randomized it: List RandomizerThere were

Another angel has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Sweet Praline has gone from being a star of the CB to a star in the heavens. I know now that now she's no longer in pain, no longer dealing with cancer, and is her sweet loving self again playing like a kitten. Her mom, Paula, made the most beautiful video collage of Praline. If you want to see it or if you just want to leave words of comfort,

My lovely Twitter furriend, @Laddiecat, has had another stroke. He's at the v-e-t jail in a coma. We all need to send him good energy and lots of love so he can take the next step in his journey. I hope that next step is that he comes out of his coma and comes back to us. But whatever that next step is, he's gonna need all the love he can get so he can take it soon and not linger in a coma.
