School Launches Michael Jackson Music Education Computer Lab with Adventus Music Education Program

Using Adventus music education program, classes have just begun at Gardner's Michael Jackson Music Education Lab, named in honor of the late pop star who attended Gardner in 6th grade. The new curriculum and interactive software was designed by Adventus to allow every child in the school to learn how to read music, play piano and compose and arrange music, regardless of their native language or learning aptitude. The Adventus MusIQ approach uses networked, specialized software, teacher manuals, student materials and ongoing assessments to accelerate students' learning of music notation and theory, as well as reading and keyboard skills. In the program students begin from bare beginners' concepts and progress to advanced improvisation and composition techniques in the multi-year program.
