Riot Games: 'Arcane' a Netflix series is just around the corner

Originally set for a 2020 release, the show is rescheduled for a release in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In May 2021, it was revealed that the show is set to premiere in Fall 2021 on Netflix. In line with the upcoming Piltover events coming to Wild Rift, Legends of Runeterra and League of Legends, the series might come some time after October 15.

FORMATION STORIES: ZEDD

By now, it’s likely you’ve been finished by someone rocking the latest Spectrum skinline—like getting fragged in the middle of an electro house DJ set. We thought it only fair for you to know that the man behind Spectrum may also be the one racking up the kills at your expense.

That’s Anton Zaslavski, or Zedd. The Immortal-ranked, DJ-producer is a force behind the keys and has just taken his love and skill with music and VALORANT to co-create Spectrum, with the help of the Premium Content team.

Preeti Khanolkar, senior producer on that team, has gone so far as to dub Zedd a game developer. Fair, given the amount of sound design and creation Zedd injected into Spectrum.

“Compared to making music for myself there’s a lot more to consider when working on a game,” Zedd said. “You always wanna push the envelope and make something new and fresh...It’s been amazing to learn about how animations work and the audio engine that’s used for the game.”

Zedd said it was a dream to have his own skinline in an FPS game. He's previously stated how Counter Strike Source, and later Overwatch, scratched his itch for high-stakes tactical shooters, now occupied by VALORANT.

The grind for Zedd started in Alpha, and has turned into popping off at Immortal rank. While you might recognize Zedd from his features with artists like Ariana Grande, Kehlani, and others, he prefers the headliner role in VALORANT.

“I definitely go for MVP. I like to entry and open possibilities for my team. So you can say I like to do both,” he said.

Although he can’t rely on his usual pre-show ritual of a mixed drink before a VALORANT match, Zedd does rely on resetting his mind and treating “each round as if it was 0-0.”

And for those wondering how someone juggles creating and performing award-winning music, high rank in VALORANT, and collaborating on a skinline-- Zedd said it’s all about building the right schedule.

“My first third of the day is all about working out and health. The second third is about making music and the last third about gaming. I try to stick to it so I can live a happy and balanced life.”

Still, Zedd is a reminder that a recharge is needed even from our greatest pursuits. Last year, he took a hiatus from all music to dive into podcasts. The break made him “excited to listen to music again.”

Thankfully, that recharge has given VALORANT the Spectrum skinline and perhaps one day, a remix.

“I’m quite surprised how much you can do in the end. Dream big. You can always go smaller,” he said. “We ended up creating so much more than we thought we could do. The devs created tech that wasn’t in the game before. Long story short: anything is possible!”

Fostering puppies.

Rumor has it you play VALORANT inverted. If true, why?

It is true. I know it’s hard to believe but I’ve just always played inverted. I think it started when I was playing on console as a kid. I just developed too much muscle memory to go back to regular. But I’m also kinda stoked to be one of the highest ranked inverted players out there.

You’ve played shows in countless venues. Which venue do you think would make the wildest place to host a VALORANT esports event?

I think doing an esports event at Red Rocks Amphitheatre would be insane.

A lot of things are going on in Valorant, lining up with the release of the new map: Fracture, that has been live for an exclusive Fracture only queue, to a collaboration with Zed and Valorant with a very captivating sound effects on your favorite gun skins.

VALORANT PATCH NOTES 3.05

VALORANT Episode 3 continues with Act II, with new features all collected in this article for easy reading (Fracture map, fresh Battlepass, Spectrum skinline!).

This patch adds more consistency to the damage that abilities deal to opposing abilities, tweaks to everyone’s favorite two robots, and a follow through on our attempt to adjust our rank distribution mentioned in a previous Ask VALORANT.

Don’t skip the Fracture-only queue and new XP Boost for Premium Battlepass owners.

KILLJOY

Killjoy’s Turret is a versatile ability that provides information, chip damage, and a powerful slow. While manageable during mid to later rounds, the Turret can be especially oppressive on pistol rounds down longer sightlines, where the tagging intensity combined with weapon spread makes it challenging to press forward. These changes aim to slightly tone down the Turret’s ability to impede rushes, and give opponents more counterplay options.

RAZE

The Boom Bots' ability to clear space, spot, and track opponents, as well as one-shot enemies with Light Shields, left you with limited options on how to counterplay—especially during low economy rounds. So, we’re trading off reduced damage output for an ability cost reduction in order to introduce more Boom Bot counterplay options. This should also increase the frequency that Raze mains can use Boom Bot to create space.

Rammus is over-performing after our last set of changes which were aimed at improving his early jungle clear without making him over-bearing. The Ninetailed Fox is getting a small bugfix that will affect her power levels slightly, but don’t get your tails in a bunch. We don’t expect her to need compensation due to some other items being shifted.

AKALI

Akali is performing too well in the Baron lane. We’re taking some of the power out of her passive to make it more difficult for her to secure a lead in the laning phase, and harder for her to chase down enemies later in the game. A ninja should be challenged.

- Base damage: 40-180 → 28-140

AKSHAN

Akshan is currently all bark and no bite, particularly with crit builds. We’re bringing up his baseline damage output and giving him some crit scaling to help out his late game.

COMEUPPANCE

GRAGAS

Gragas is causing too much of a ruckus on the Rift, particularly at the highest levels of play. We’re toning down some of the utility and power that he has in abundance, giving his opponents some windows to play around.

BARREL ROLL

KATARINA

Katarina’s ability to shrug off damage coupled with her reliable mobility and strong damage output has been a source of frustration for opposing midlaners. We’re reducing her base health to make the Sinister Blade more vulnerable in the early laning phase.

KENNEN

The Heart of the Tempest is too soft and in need of a jolt. We’re giving him a few small bonuses to charge up his laning power. This should electrify Kennen’s presence in the Baron lane.

THUNDERING SHURIKEN
- Base damage: 75/130/185/240 → 85/140/195/250

ELECTRICAL SURGE
- On-hit bonus damage: 10/20/30/40 + 60% Bonus AD + 20% AP → 25/35/45/55 + 70/80/90/100% Bonus AD + 25%AP

LIGHTNING RUSH
- Bonus attack speed: 40/50/60/70% → 50/60/70/80%

KHA'ZIX

The Void Reaver is too dominant of a predator. Besides his high damage, he’s too healthy when it comes time to gank his prey. We’re reducing Kha'zix's healing and bringing down (1) Taste Their Fear's damage. These changes should make his ganks slightly riskier and even the playing field for his victims.

MASTER YI

Master Yi has been overperforming with his recent buffs and his synergy with new items (like Navori Quickblades) is too strong. We’re pulling back on some of the power he gained from Patch 2.4a to ensure the Wuju Blademaster fights fairly.

- Health per level: 115 → 105

WUJU STYLE
- Bonus true damage: 25/40/55/70 → 22/34/46/58

HIGHLANDER
- Cooldown: 75/60/45s → 80/70/60s

RAKAN

Rakan and Xayah are truly a power couple in the Dragon Lane; however, the Charmer’s (3) Battle Dance has been providing Xayah with too much safety. To reduce frustration around this interaction, we’re lowering the bonus shield multiplier on Battle Dance when cast on Xayah and giving Rakan some buffs to keep him in line with other supports.

GRAND ENTRANCE
- Base damage: 70/140/210/280 → 80/150/220/290

BATTLE DANCE
- Bonus shield amount when cast on Xayah: 200% → 125%

THE QUICKNESS
- Movement speed: 50& → 60%

SORAKA

The Starchild interfered with too many mortal affairs since her recent buff without risking enough. We’re tuning her down a bit so she thinks twice about rushing in to save her allies.

- Rejuvenation buff duration on self: 4s → 2s
- Rejuvenation total heal: 72/90/108/126 + 45%AP → 50/70/90/110 + 35%AP

ASTRAL INFUSION

THRESH

While Thresh is a high-skill cap champion, his power levels upon release left something to be desired. We’re increasing the base soul drop rate and reducing (3) Flay's charge time to compensate for Wild Rift's faster pace and shorter gametime.

- Base soul drop rate: 33% → 40% (Bad luck protection unchanged)

WUKONG

Despite being a formidable jungler, Wukong is still struggling to find his place in the Baron lane. We’re removing the healing reduction modifier from (1) Crushing Blow when he uses the skill against minions. This way, the Monkey King can better sustain himself during the laning phase.

XIN ZHAO

The Seneschal of Demacia has been dominating the jungle in high level play. In order to reduce some of his early game strength, we’re tuning some of Xin Zhao’s base stats.

While True Damage was exciting, it meant that Chargeblade was too universal in killing tanks, fighters and squishies alike. We’re sharpening it to be less optimal in the general situation and more optimal when the enemy team has a lot of squishier targets to burst down.

WARMOG’S ARMOR

Following the lead of our PC friends, we’re making Warmog’s Armor’s unique passive trigger off of bonus health instead of max health. This way, players must opt into other health items to access its power.

MAGE ITEMS

We found a few notable balance opportunities when examining mage items. Liandry’s Torment is still too prevalent of a buy on all-AP users, and players who rush Luden's Echo or Awakened Soulstealer have been underperforming heavily compared to rushing other items. Additionally, the traditional users of Liandry's Torment were overperforming by a considerable amount. We hope to balance out this pattern with the following changes to the mentioned items:

Unlike the clear sunny days in Mondstadt and Liyue, the weather in Inazuma changes quickly and drastically, tinting the landscapes with a strong sea breeze, flickering light and shadow, and raging thunderstorms in the blink of an eye.

The Inazuma area consists of six main islands and a series of islets scattered across the ocean, each with a unique landscape and history. You may visit the Grand Narukami Shrine and Sacred Sakura on the mountain of Narukami Island, or admire the blooming cherry blossoms and the magnificent Tenshukaku where the Shogun resides at in Inazuma City. You may also witness the giant skeleton and the palpable aura of the Tatarigami at Yashiori Island where the Raiden Shogun battled a great serpent, or traverse the desolate coastline where lies the ruins of war at Tatarasuna. You may also find yourself getting lost in the area shrouded in thunderstorms, or stumble into huge mysterious underground areas and ruins hidden beneath the sea surface.

With Version 2.0, we’re only releasing three of the six main islands of Inazuma. There are many more landmarks and locations with distinct scenery, stories, secrets, and their respective connections to the history of Inazuma and the Electro Archon waiting for the Traveler to explore.

Living Beings in Inazuma

Inazuma is ruled by the Electro Archon, so purple has become the dominant color for many local species affected by the power of the Electro element.

This vast land isolated by the ocean is also home to some unique and peaceful animals that are very different from the creatures of Liyue and Mondstadt. Due to Inazuma’s unique location and traditions, you may also come across some lovely animals that coexist in harmony with the locals.

However, not all beings come in peace. Across the Inazuma islands, Travelers will inevitably encounter wandering samurais and even a new branch of the Fatui.

Meanwhile, new boss enemies will be added to the map for Travelers to challenge and obtain more rewards. The Hypostasis family will see a new Pyro member joining – the Pyro Hypostasis. Strangely enough, the Perpetual Mechanical Array and a few other bizarrely-shaped machines similar to the Ruin Guards in Mondstadt and Liyue will also appear in Inazuma. In addition to the new enemies, after its debut in Version 1.6, Maguu Kenki will also be found as a World Boss and a source for Character Level-Up Materials in Inazuma.

A New Chapter of Your Journey

We hope to leave more of the fun of the new areas including the latest Archon Quests as well as side quests for players to explore. But before you embark on a fresh new adventure, we’d like to introduce three new reliable companions Ayaka, Yoimiya, and Sayu from Inazuma, who may join your party. Not only can these three characters become valuable assets in your daily battles and exploration, Ayaka and Yoimiya will also make their debut in the upcoming Archon Quests.

Kamisato Ayaka is a long-awaited character who has been familiar to many fans since closed beta testing. Ayaka is the daughter of the Yashiro Commission’s Kamisato Clan, a branch of the Tri-Commission under the Raiden Shogun. Wielding the power of Cryo and a sword, Ayaka has often been conceived as dignified, elegant, wise, and strong. However, she also has her own worries and desires like other young girls of her age.

Yoimiya is the other five-star character joining in Version 2.0. She’s a Pyro archer and an expert in fireworks. Known as the Queen of the Summer Festival, Yoimiya excels in her craft of creating fireworks that symbolize people’s hopes and dreams. The last character, Sayu is a four-star ninja character who wields an Anemo Vision. Despite her petite stature, she can wield a giant claymore bigger than herself.

During the journey, you will also discover various new puzzle-solving gameplay. Unlike puzzles in Mondstadt and Liyue, Inazuma’s puzzles do not require you to have a character in your team who can use specific elemental powers in order to solve the puzzle. Successfully solving the puzzle only requires a little bit of your wisdom to make good use of all the clues and items around you!

If you want to take a break in your journey, we strongly recommend revisiting your realm in your Serenitea Pot. With Version 2.0, you can now collect seeds of plants via a special container gadget, and grow different plants in your realm once you have cultivated some fields with the help of Chubby, the teapot spirit.

An Upgraded Experience on PlayStation

Thanks to the efforts of our partner Sony and the whole Genshin Impact team, we’re very proud to announce that starting from Version 2.0, all Travelers will be able to share game progress across PS5, PS4, and all other available platforms.

Meanwhile, we also have more good news for PlayStation players. A list of new trophies will be added with Version 2.0. Furthermore, some PS5 players may already notice that we’ve been adding parts of the haptic feedback features on the DualSense wireless controller since the release of the native PS5 version in May. For example, when a combustible barrel explodes, you can sense stronger quakes if you’re closer to the explosion. With Version 2.0, you can expect a lot more tactile feedback with your DualSense controller when you draw a bow, use your wind glider, rush into the woods, and perform various actions in the game.

We’ve also enhanced the character shading so that the effects of real-time lighting can be more clearly shown on your character. As you bathe in the setting sun and stroll down the streets under Inazuma’s sakura trees, your characters will be tinted red in the sunset glow, with swaying leaves casting their shadows on them.

We’re very proud to finally bring all players and Travelers a new city and a better gaming experience on the PlayStation platform, after months of efforts by the entire team. Inazuma is a huge area surrounded by sea, with very different geography, people, and cultures. All music that players will hear in the Inazuma region are also brand-new, composed by Yu-Peng Chen and performed by the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra. In their realms, Travelers can converse with companions who have moved in. More conversations will unlock at higher Friendship Levels.

As Trust Rank increases, more companions can be invited to stay. Each realm can host up to eight companions. Companions who move in will add to the Serenitea Pot's load.

Each companion who stays in the Serenitea Pot has their favorite Furnishing Set. Travelers can obtain their Furnishing Set Blueprints in the Realm Depot.

After obtaining and placing those sets in the Serenitea Pot, companions who favor them will prepare gifts such as Primogems for the Traveler.

Ragnarok Online Philippines Announces New Chaos Server, Release of 2nd Alternate Jobs and Idle Poring Mobile Game

Ragnarok Online Philippines announced on their Facebook page the release of a new server: Chaos along with several new events and promotions regarding the upcoming release of their 2nd alternate Jobs which is said to be released on September 27, 2017. These include the addition of the Crusader class, Monk class, Sage class, Rogue class and the Alchemist class. Ragnarok Online Philippines started it's open beta last June 29, 2017, where originally after several inquiries ROPH admins repeatedly stated that 2nd alternate jobs were to be released 6 months after the Open Beta testing which started June. Guess Ragnarok Online Philippines is successful than expected to be able to release such a major update 3 months before it's expected date. Furthermoew, High Classes 1-2 Jobs are expected to be released within one to two years from the OBT, Let's see and wait how it's going to turn out.

Riot Games recently released a New Star Guardians set of skins for a new set of champions including: Soraka, Syndra, Miss Fortune, Ahri and Ezreal (left to right) as part of their promotions new skins in game along with each champion's product line which includes tees, mini dolls (or as we all know it: chibis), plushies, jackets, and a star guardian notebook pack at Riot Games Merch Store.

Not only does Riot Games releases the skins in-game for every player to enjoy but League of Legends fanatics also have a chance to read every Star Guardian champion bios and their story as a star guardian in the League of Legends Universe along with a promotional trailer below that showcases Star Guardian Ahri's transformation think: Sailor Moon.

Anyways, we all think that this is a wonderful addition to player's collections including myself, since I play League of Legends personally, and I main Ahri. I got most of her skins excluding this one. Maybe I would need to go on top up again.

Hello all! This is CharmSprite updating you all with the latest trend from Dragon Nest Korea. Secretly I've been eyeing on this concept for already 4 months prior to her release. July 16, 2014 Nexon's Dragon Nest Korea released yet another female class to join in the nest raiding online game, Lencea. A female "loli" like the academic class, believed to be known as the "lancer" class of the game who wields a spear which more of looks like a trident to us. Without further ado let me introduce her with the basic stuff on all of the things you need to know about her.

JOB TREE

Let's start off with the job tree. Of course as what we have already mentioned, it starts off with her base class which is simply her name (i think) because she has no jobs yet. Simply she is a little girl still playing with a spear :D We believe that as of now she can wield two kinds of spears namely a trident or a halberd. Right now the path who is implemented is the trident path which is her 1st Advancement - Piercer who specializes in trident and physical power with some magical buffs in the form of force fields as well to boost herself more to engage in close combat. Followed by the Flurry which is the pure power type as we call it and the Sting Breezer who is the accuracy/evasive type.

Character Jumping Event

Duration: 7/17/2014 – 8/28/2014 (Ends 6:00 PM PDT)

Summary:

- All players will be able to select one character to jump up to Lv. 70 instantly!
- Any character at Lv. 70 and up is excluded from this event.

- The character you have selected to jump up will have/receive:

4th MP Bar and 4th Special Skill
Armor for Lv. 70
A mission for Lv. 85 that rewards new armor

- If you do not need to raise any of your characters to Lv. 70, you may select an item reward instead.

Details:

a. When you select a character during the event, an event window will let you select between the character jump and item reward options.

b. If you select a character to jump up the levels, a confirmation window pops up. Click OK to get the selected character at Lv. 70 instantly (or you may still cancel at this point).

c. If you choose to receive the item reward, you will not be able to do the character jump. Click OK to receive the item rewards.

d. If you do not make a selection and instead close the event window, it will come up again the next time you log in before the event ends.

e. Characters that reach Lv. 70 through the character jumping event will receive armor and ‘Jumpin to Max Level Challenge’, the mission scroll for Lv. 85. They will also have the 4th Special Skill, 4th MP Bar, and a cash skill. (Jumpin to Max Level Challenge mission scroll will be deleted when the event ends.)

Potions for Leveling! – For every 2 levels reached after level 70, Demons of Yore Potions will be sent to the character’s Mailbox! Reach Level 72/74/76/78/80/82/84 and receive the following items:

The link between the human world and the demon world is now open, and a seemingly endless parade of monsters is making its way through. Survive the onslaught in Dimension’s Door!

Details:

Dimension’s Door is a new dungeon that provides players additional ways to acquire EXP. You can find it on Ellia, Xenia, Alcubra, and Archimedia. Enter the dungeon when you’re at the ideal level range, Lv. 43 – 85.
Waves of monsters will appear, followed by an appearance of a Boss monster. Once you defeat the boss monster, you’ll receive a short period of time to recuperate. Make sure to stand next to the HP flame to get your HP back up!
Stay in the dungeon for as long as you’d like. Once you’re ready to leave, destroy the Dimension’s Door to stop the monsters from appearing.

Special Event Mechanics:

Enter the Dimension’s Door and fight the monsters.
Acquire Dimension’s Door Fragments to forge a Dimension’s Mercenary Wings.
Collect more Dimension’s Door Fragments to forge higher level wings!
