Google™ AdWords™ campaigns seem straight forward enough for anyone to use for any purpose that they desire. Signing up proves to be even easier and just about as easy as signing up for a Gmail account. Many people have successfully setup up their campaigns and started running them online with all the excitement that they could conjure only to find that their campaigns have lost more money than it has made, if it has made any money at all, that is.

So what are managed AdWords™ Managed Campaigns and why should YOU use them?

In a nutshell, Google™ AdWords™ Campaigns are simply having an outsourced company run your campaigns and/or maintain them for you. The advantages of having this done is the professionalism and the experience that is owned by the company that you choose to run your campaign for you no matter what your budget may be.

From my professional point of view any AdWords™ campaign should start small and increase with time. I would also suggest that you have a company implement a Search Engine Optimization and Social Media Marketing campaign to ensure that you receive the best possible long term results for all of your keywords that relate to your company and brand.

Google™ AdWords™ Campaigns take time, experience and knowledge about the way that Google™ search and the content networks work. It can be very easy to increase sales via search marketing BUT on the other hand it can also be all too easy to lose the money that you budget for Google™ AdWords™.

With all of this in mind it can be rather easy to understand that these campaigns should be run by professionals in the field if you are serious about getting your campaigns moving in the right direction quickly and easily.

Take the time out to contact several companies about the way in which they run their campaigns. Compare pricing, experience levels and the foot hold that the company has in the industry and then make a decision based on hard facts.

The online world is one of extreme competition. You could be competing for the number one stop on Google with a teenager that has too much time on their hands and a rich Daddy to cover the costs. Yet to you, this could be your bread and butter which makes its importance paramount.

Google will always push to serve adverts that dispense the most credit into their bank accounts and even though I am supposed to helping you by encouragement, this may seem a little, if not entirely, discouraging. But there is a reason for me pointing out the gruesome reality of a money hungry society and world at large. It is to inform you that whatever advice and knowledge you receive out there from people that claim to be guru’s, experts and all that jazz in Google AdWords campaigns, that not even they can escape the truth. You will not gain the foremost ad spot on Google search results or the content network if you do not have the money to bid for the best positions.

So, what would be my advice to the millions that need it? Keywords.

You site(s) inevitably play on many keywords that can encourage users to click on ads and visit your site. What happens after they click on your site is an entirely different topic that I will only discuss in designated areas so for now we will discuss the area that matters to this article.

You see, millions of people search Google and visit content related sites on a daily basis from around the world. You r aim is figure out what people are thinking. Not everyone will call a cat a cat. Some people would refer to it as a feline. Not everyone will type in a single word when looking for a cat/feline. So your job is to figure out how people might think and target content and search results based on these assumptions.

Now, my example is extremely bear and minimal. As you can imagine many people will try their utmost to find what they are looking for with creative, and sometimes rather bland, words that come to their minds.

Focus on finding what works for you and you will be amazed at how fast people will find you and prefer you over your competitors. The same goes for your landing pages and web design – focus on the clients needs and desires and you will have them hooked.

If you have something of real value to sell I assure you that your campaigns will go a long way.

Google Adwords advertising is one of the best methods to get leads and generate sales for businesses. Adwords is Google’s flagship advertising solution. It offers pay per click advertising and site targeted advertising for both text and banner ads.

Inside Google Adwords, there is a factor known as the Quality Score. If you have a high campaign Quality Score, Google will reward you with lower cost-per-click and higher position for your ads. This means that you will pay lesser than your competitors and still enjoy prominent positions in the sponsored results. Getting a high quality score is something all Adwords specialists strive to achieve.

Now, let me share with you 7 steps to score a high quality score and create a winning Adwords campaign:

1. Keyword research. Conduct keyword research to identify keywords that are relevant to what you are offering. Make sure that you bid on keywords with Exact Match for the start. If you intend to bid on broad or phrase match, you need to ensure that you include negative keywords to filter out unnecessary impressions. This is important because when you have lots of unnecessary impressions, your click through rate will be very low. When you have a low click through rate, your campaign will be slapped with a low Quality Score.

2. Turn off the content network. If you are not experienced with Adwords, I advise you to turn off the content network first. Run your ads on Google search only.

3. Group relevant keywords together. Your ad groups should contain keywords that are closely related so that you can write a more relevant ad for each ad group. The relevancy of your ads is one factor Google looks at when it comes to Quality Score.

4. Split test your ads. Create two ads per ad group and run a split test to determine which ad copy gets you more clicks. The purpose of split testing is to get a better CTR and improve conversions.

5. Adjust your keyword bids accordingly. After you let your campaign run for a few hours, log in to check how much each keyword costs and what position you ads are at. The best position is between two and six. The first position usually gets lots of tire kickers.

6. Eliminate keywords that do not perform. Delete keywords that don’t bring you clicks and conversion.
Google Adwords is a great advertising tool for businesses. When you run an Adwords campaign, make sure you track its performance.

Have you ever seen the message: “Ads rarely show due to poor quality score” in your Google Adwords account? If yes, this is bad news for you.
When you see this message in your accounts, it means that Google has rated your campaign as low quality, due to many factors such as landing page, keyword grouping and ad copy writing. When Google rated your campaign as low quality, you will not get impressions for any of your ads.

To solve this issue, you need to work on the relevancy of your campaign. You need to work on your keyword list, keyword grouping, landing page and adverts in order to get a good quality score. Now, let me share with you a few tips to improve the relevancy of your campaign:

1. Re-group your keywords. Take all your important keywords and place them in unique ad groups – one keyword in one ad group. If you have too many keywords, you can start off with those performing ones.

2. Write a unique advert for each ad group. Make sure you place the keyword in the headline, description and the display URL of your advert. When you place the keywords in your advert, Google Adwords will recognize the keyword in the ad and reward you with good quality score.
3. Make sure you point each ad group to a custom landing page. If you don’t have a landing page that matches a keyword, create it. When you are creating your landing page, you need to place the keyword in the URL, page title, meta tags, H1 and content.
4. Split test your ads. A major component of quality score is the CTR (Click-through-Rate). When your campaign has a high average CTR, Google thinks that your ads are relevant because human are clicking on them. Try to achieve a CTR of more than 2% if you want to score a high quality score.
When you do the steps above, you will make your campaign more relevant in the eyes of Google. When your campaign is relevant, you can say goodbye to the message.
Another factor worth taking note is that the age of your campaign plays a big part in your quality score too. If your campaign is new, it won’t have enough impressions to get a high CTR. So don’t panic if you don’t see results in the beginning. Continue to do your advert split testing and you will achieve a high CTR very soon.

About the Author
