CAAC approves Boeing 787 certification

GENEVA (May 22, 2013) – France-based Twin Jet has selected Rockwell Collins’ Corporate Aircraft Service Program (CASP) for its fleet of ten Beechcraft 1900D aircraft. The three-year agreement provides Twin Jet with priority access to Rockwell Collins’ spares pool for standard exchange and forward-deployed equipment.

Rockwell Collins’ CASP maximizes aircraft availability through comprehensive and highly responsive 24/7 global customer service and support. Quick access to spares and expert staff keep aircraft downtime to a minimum. In addition, CASP provides operators with predictable maintenance costs, thus eliminating costs that can be associated with unexpected repairs.

“CASP guarantees support to Twin Jet when and where they need it,” said Thierry Tosi, vice president and general manager, Service Solutions for Rockwell Collins. “Along with priority service, they’ll also enjoy complete budget awareness and the convenience of a one-stop shop for avionics service.”

“Twin Jet is very pleased to have signed this contract with Rockwell Collins, which is a promising start to our working relationship and allows Twin Jet to be entirely confident about the future reliability and availability of its aircraft,” said Olivier Dubois, Technical Director, Twin Jet.

Rockwell Collins has over 1,500 aircraft that utilize CASP, which are supported by a global network of more than 80 locations providing service and support of avionics, cabin, electromechanical and pilot controls equipment for commercial, business, regional, and government aircraft. Additional service programs include asset management, modification and upgrades, contract maintenance, fixed price per repair, training and technical information services.

Honeywell Highlights Retrofit, Modification & Upgrade Solutions at EBACE Aviation Event

At the European Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (EBACE) in Geneva this week, Honeywell is highlighting retrofit, modification and upgrade (RMU) solutions that offer cost-effective technologies that bring improved efficiency, connectivity and safety to operators.

Having recently completed the first delivery to the Middle East of its all-digital, full-High Definition Ovation Select Cabin Management System on a Boeing Business Jet, Honeywell is currently fitting the system on TAG Aviation’s new Bombardier Global 6000 aircraft in partnership with Jet Aviation St. Louis. EBACE participants will have the opportunity to experience a fully functioning mockup of the FAA and EASA-certified Ovation Select system during the event in Honeywell’s booth.

In addition to the cabin retrofits and upgrades, Honeywell is announcing and showcasing several avionics upgrades at EBACE.
