הַיי, כיף להיות פה שוב... :)

Hi! It's nice to be back... :)

את הדף הזה הכנתי בהשראת אחד מהדפים הראשונים שהכנתי אי פעם:

I used one the very first layouts I'd ever made as inspiration for this new page:

הוא אחד הדפים האהובים עליי. אני מאוד אוהבת את הקווים הנקיים שלו ואת הסגנון העדין. בדף החדש השתמשתי בשתי תמונות בגודל 9x13 ס"מ במקום באחת בגודל 10x15, ובתוך המעטפה יש כרטיסים שעליהם כתבתי את הג'ורנלינג שלי. הוא מוחבא גם בגלל שהוא די אישי וגם בגלל שהוא נורא נורא ארוך. ניסיתי לכתוב ג'ורנלינג שאם אדם שלא מכיר אותי היה קורא, הוא היה מבין קצת מי אני. :)

It's always been one of my favorites! I just love the clean lines and the soft design. For the new page I used two 3x5" photos instead of one 4x6 one, and I wrote my journaling on cards and hid them inside the envelope, both because it's kind of personal and also because it's very very long. :) I tried to write journaling that if someone who didn't know me read, they would have some idea of who I am.

ברשומה הזאת איימי טאן הראתה את תהליך העבודה שלה כשהיא הכינה דף מעוצב. נהניתי כל כך מהתמונות של כל השלבים, שכשהכנתי ביום ראשון דף מעוצב, צילמתי גם אני את התהליך. תיהנו! :)

יום עם הדודה ~ a day with the aunt

היי! את הדף הזה הכנתי על יום שבו אחיינית שלי באה אליי אחרי בית הספר ויחד הכנו שיעורי בית במדעים, למדנו איך לפתור תרגיל כמו 10x___=8, למדנו גם למבחן באנגלית, הצטלמנו ונהנינו יחד. :)

Hi! I made this page about a day I spent with my niece after (her) school a few weeks ago. We did her science homework, learnt to solve equations like 10x___=8, studied for a test in English, took photos and had fun together! :)

הקיץ שהיה ~ the past summer

שלום, שלום!

כבר כמה זמן שרציתי להכין דף מעוצב שיסכם קצת את מה שעשיתי ואהבתי באביב ובקיץ הקודמים. בדף הזה יש רשימה של כל מיני דברים שפשוט אהבתי, כמו: ניירות מדוגמים מסוימים, הסנדלים החומים שלי, תיק חדש שקניתי, האירוסין של אח שלי, נעלי העקב האמיתיות הראשונות שלי :), היומן השנתי שקניתי לשנה הזאת, RussianLessons.net, צמידי חברוּת ארוגים (כמו זה שהכנתי כאן), הקיץ והחום (השנה למדתי לאהוב אותם!), ללכת ברגל, להיפגש עם החברות שלי מהתיכון, הקרוקס הפרחוניים שלי :), להתכתב עם אחיין שלי ב-SMS-ים ועוד ועוד ועוד. בנוסף לזה גם כתבתי איך אני זוכרת את התקופה הזאת באופן כללי ואיזה זיכרונות עולים לי לראש כשאני חושבת על האביב והקיץ האלה.

אני מתכננת להכין דף כזה כל חצי שנה ולסכם בהם אירועים מיוחדים שקרו לי, דברים שאהבתי וזיכרונות שבולטים לי במיוחד כשאני חושבת על אותה עונה. זה יהיה נחמד. :)

Hello, hello!

This layout is supposed to wrap up Spring/Summer 2011. It has a list of my favorite things and favorite memories from this time, like: specific scrapbook papers, my brown sandals, a new colorful bag I bought, my brother's engagement, my first real pair of heels :), the calendar I bought for this year, RussianLessons.net, woven friendship bracelets (here is one that I made), the summer and the heat (this year I learned to love them!), walk by foot, see my high school friends, my floral Crocs :), text with my nephew etc etc etc. Also, on this page, I summed up how I generally remember this season and which memories stand out to me when I think of this time.

I think I'm going to make a page like this every half a year and sum up important occasions, things I loved and memories that I especially remember from that season in my life. It should be nice. :)

הדף המעוצב הבא הוא ההפך הגמור מהדף שהראיתי לכם בשבוע שעבר. העמוד ההוא היה כולו עליז ומאושר ודיבר על כמה בת מזל אני, והעמוד הזה הוא דווקא על הימים ההם שבהם אני מתעוררת בלי מצב רוח ובלי חשק לעשות שום דבר.

This layout is the complete opposite of the page I shared with you last week. That page was all so happy and cheerful and discussed how lucky I am, while this one is about those days when I feel blah and don't feel like doing anything.

האמת היא שהתכוונתי לסיים כאן, אבל הנה שני דברים לכבוד הגשם הנפלא :

את הדף הזה הכנתי בזמן שהרגשתי פשוט טוב. כתבתי בו על כמה שאני שמחה ללמוד את מה שאני לומדת וכמה אני מתרגשת מזה שיום אחד אני אהיה בעזרת ה' מעצבת פנים. ובכלל – כמה אני שמחה ומרוצה מהחיים שלי כרגע. :) עכשיו יש לי את כל המחשבות האלה כתובות, כדי להיזכר בהן בימים שבהם אני מתעוררת על צד שמאל ולא מרגישה ככה. :)

I made this page while I was simply feeling GOOD. I wrote about how happy I am to be studying something I love and how excited I am about being an interior designer one day! I wrote about how I'm in a happy place right now. Just a few good thoughts to read and be reminded of on days when I wake up on the wrong side of the bed. :)

סל, דפים ופרחים ~ a basket of papers and flowers? Yes, please!

היי, התגעגעתי אליכם! :)

יש לי הרגשה שאני תמיד *לפני* התהליך של לסדר מחדש את כל חומרי הסקראפ שלי או שאני *בתהליך עצמו* של לסדר הכל מחדש, אבל אני אף פעם לא נמצאת במצב שהכל כבר מסודר. :) אני מניחה שזה בגלל שכל פעם, אני מתחילה לארגן הכל מחדש ואני בטוחה ש"הפעם זהו, הכל יהיה מושלם סופסוף והחדר ייראה נפלא!" אבל איכשהו, אחרי כמה פעמים שבהן אני עובדת ומסדרת המון המון דברים, נעלם לו החשק. ואז, אחרי כמה זמן, אני שוב מתכננת לסדר הכל מחדש וכל התהליך מתחיל שוב. לפני כמה ימים הוא באמת התחיל שוב, וכתוצאה מזה יש לי בחדר פינה קטנטנה חדשה שאני אוהבת:

Hello, all! I missed you! With all the Jewish holidays the past couple of weeks, I didn't have as much time to blog as I wished to. but I'm here now, with a cute spot in my scrap space to show off. :)

It seems to me like I'm always BEFORE a reorganization or IN the process of one. But never AFTER one. I guess that because I always start to reorganize, full of good intentions and the belief that, "here, this time the room will finally be DONE, it will be perfect!" but after a few big intensive sessions of reorganizing stuff, but before the room is finished and everything finally has a place, my inspiration disappears. And after a while I'm planning reorganizing again and I'm in the beginning of the same cycle all over again. That's exactly the phase I'm in right now, and I'm happy to report I have a new pretty place to store my paper rolls! Patterned paper rolls, contact paper rolls, crepe paper rolls – they are all there, in a lovely basket with lovely little flowers under my lovely desk: :)

הסל הזה, שנמצא מתחת לשולחן שלי, מכיל עכשיו את גלילי הנייר המדוגמים שלי, גלילי נייר קרפ וגלילי טאפטים. וגם פרחים, כמובן. ואי אפשר לראות את זה בתמונה, אבל ליד הסל הזה נמצאת הקופסא שלי עם הדפים בגודל 12/12 אינץ'. עכשיו הם שני דברים היחידים שנמצאים מתחת לשולחן שלי, בניגוד לאיך שזה היה קודם, כשהייתה שם ערימה קטנה של דברים. תענוג לדווח שזאת בהחלט הקלה גדולה. :)

עוד יתרון לסידור החדש הזה הוא שעכשיו הדפים האלה מאוד נגישים. קודם הם היו מאוחסנים בארון סגור ויותר משהיה קשה להגיע אליהם, היה קשה לראות אותם. אני מאוד אוהבת לראות את חומרי היצירה שלי, גם בגלל שככה אולי אני משתמשת בהם יותר (למרות שאני כן טובה בלזכור בדיוק מה יש לי ואיפה כל דבר נמצא), אבל בעיקר בגלל שאני פשוט אוהבת אחסון פתוח. מדפים על גבי מדפים מלאים בקופסאות לבנות עם תוויות לא מעוררים בי השראה בכלל, למרות שאני יודעת שבטח הרבה הרבה סקראפריות לא יסכימו איתי בנושא הזה.

תאחלו לי בהצלחה בהמשך הארגון! ויש עוד שני דברים שאני צריכה בהצלחה בשבילם............. אבל ששש בינתיים......

שיהיה שבוע נפלא-נפלא!! מלא בדברים מקסימים! אנחנו כבר התחלנו את השבוע שלנו בטיול קטן לחוף דור הבונים. היה ממש נפלא.

You can't see it in the photo, but beside the basket is my box of 12x12" paper. Now these two things are the only things under my desk. I used to have a little pile of stuff there, but no more, thankfully.

Another adventage of this new arrangement is that now these paper rolls are easily accessible! They used to be stored in my closet in a place that more than made them hard to access, made them hard to see, and I really love to see my supplies, both because it usually makes me use them (although I AM good at remembering what I have and where it is) and also because I just love to be able to see my supplies. I'm a huge fan of open storage... big Expedits full of white labeled boxes don't really inspire me. Although I do know many, many scrappers will disagree with me on this one.

Wish me luck with the rest of my reorganization! And there are two other little things I really need luck with........... but shhhh for now....

המון, המון ג'ורנלינג ~ lots, and LOTS, of journaling

את הדף הזה הכנתי לכבוד השנה החדשה! הוא נראה לי ממש דומה לדף הקודם שהראיתי לכם, אבל שניהם מוצאים חן בעיניי מאוד ככה שלא אכפת לי. ;) ממש לא תכננתי שהג'ורנלינג שלי יהיה כזה ארוך אבל התחלתי לכתוב ואז הצטרכתי לחפש עוד ועוד מקום לכל מה שרציתי לספר. הוספתי עוד ועוד מלבנים בצבעי עיפרון בתחתית הדף כדי לכתוב בתוכם, וציירתי בתוכם חיצים קטנטנים שמראים לקורא האבוד לאיפה ללכת כדי לקרוא את ההמשך :)

This is sort of a reflection page for the (Jewish) New Year! It seems quite similar to the last page I shared with you, but I really like them both so I don't really mind. ;) I didn't think I'd have so much to write about on this page... I started writing the journaling and then ended up looking for more and more space. :) I added and added rectangles in the bottom of the page with colored pencils, and they all have little arrows in them, guiding the lost reader to the next stop (aka rectangle) in their journey of reading everything I had to write on there. :D Poor reader.

את האליפסה הצהבהבה הזאת עם הפרחים מסביבה הכנתי ע"י שציירתי אליפסה על דף מדוגם מ-ק-ס-י-ם (של Basic Grey שיש לי כבר שניייייייים באוסף; הרקע שלו בגווני צהוב ולבן ויש לו ענפים קטנים עם פרחים ורודים קטנטנים. הוא ממש יפה) והוספתי מסביב לאליפסה פרחים קטנים צבעוניים וגבעולים מסתלסלים.

את הפרח הוורוד הכנתי משני פרחי נייר קטנים של Prima שהנחתי זה על זה וקיפלתי באמצע (ככה שהצד היפה שלהם פונה החוצה) והוספתי גבעול מחוט מתכת דק ירוק. את הפרפרים גזרתי מדף של 7Gypsies. ונכון שלא רואים שצבעתי את הפרפר הימני העליון? :) הוא היה בצבע אחר (אני כבר לא ממש זוכרת איזה, כחלחל-אפרפר נראה לי) וכדי שיתאים לי יותר צבעתי אותו בצבעי עיפרון בשני גוונים של ירוק ובוורוד.

השתמשתי גם בפאייטים בצבע זהב בדף הזה וזה נורא מוצא חן בעיניי.

I made that yellowish oval by drawing an oval onto a pretty patterned paper (by Basic Grey that i'd had in my collection for yeeeeeears. It's light yellow and white with thin branches and tiny pink flowers. Really pretty) and I added around the oval colored little flowers and curly stems.

The pink flower is two Prima paper flowers that I layered and folded in half (the right side facing outside) and added a green wire for the stem. The butterflies were cut out of a 7Gypsies patterned paper. The original colors of the butterfly in the upper right corner were bluish-grey if I'm not mistaken, and I didn't like it (I mean, the colors were very pretty, but I wanted something else for that corner on this layout) so I colored them! I used colored pencils in two shades of green and in pink and I really like the result.

I also used gold sequins on this page and I like that, too.

הג'ורנלינג פה, דרך אגב, הוא על דברים שקרו ודברים שעשיתי בשנה שחלפה, דברים שלמדתי ושחשבתי וכו' וכו'. :) הו, ושמתם לב שהשתמשתי שוב בחותמת ההיא? ;) הפעם עם דיו דיסטרס בגוון walnut stain (שהוא בעצם הגוון היחיד שלי :)).

גמר חתימה טובה, קוראי אפפוני יקרים. :) אני מקווה שכולנו נהיה ממש מאושרים השנה.

the journaling, by the way, is about things I did and things that happened in the past year, things I thought and learned etc etc. :) Oh, and have you noticed I actually used that stamp again? ;) this time with Walnut Stain distress ink (which is actually my one and only distress ink :)).

כנראה שזה הפך למסורת אצלי לאחל לכם שנה טובה רק אחרי שהשנה החדשה כבר התחילה. אבל אני באמת מאחלת לכם שנה טובה ומתוקה, שנה נפלאה ונהדרת ומקסימה. אני מקווה שבעוד שנה תחשבו על השנה שהתחילה עכשיו ותרגישו ממש ממש טוב. ותרגישו מאושרים ומלאי סיפוק ותודה. אני מקווה שהמון המון דברים טובים יקרו לכם. שתעשו הרבה דברים שיגרמו לכם להרגיש ממש ממש טוב. אני מקווה שהשנה הזאת תהיה מלאה בצחוק ובחיוכים ובחברים טובים וברגעים קסומים ובמחשבות קסומות ובמעשים קסומים.

Apparently it has become a tradition for me to wish you a happy new (Jewish) year only after the new year has begun. But I really do wish you a happy, lovely, wonderful, magical year. I hope that one year from now, you will look back at the year that has just begun and feel really really good. And grateful. And fulfilled. And happy. I hope that lots and lots of good things will happen to you this year. That you will do tons of things you will feel really really good about doing. Really inspiring scrapbook pages, the kind of pages that make me want to go to my scrap space and create :

♥ Both pages here (by Kelly Purkey) are lovely, but the first one, with its painted butterflies is particularly inspiring. Lately I've been really inspired to play with acrylic paints and mist, and these butterflies look amazing!

♥ The 3rd page here is so pretty! Love the background, the big butterflies and the 4 narrow photos.

♥ This page by Shimelle is simply l-o-v-e-l-y in my opinion.

♥ This page, by Maggie Holmes (and I just have to add this link, to lots more of her pages. You know I just ADORE them).

ועכשיו כמה אתגרים. למען האמת, בדרך כלל אני דווקא ממש לא אוהבת אתגרים, במיוחד לא כאלה מהסוג שקשורים לעיצוב עצמו – אני מעדיפה אתגרים שקשורים לנושא של הדף. לדוגמא, אתגר שאומר להכין דף מעוצב על שינוי שעברת בחיים מוצא חן בעיניי יותר מאשר אתגר שאומר להשתמש בצורות של חיצים בדף המעוצב. אבל בכמה ימים האחרונים ממש מתחשק לי לנסות כמה; הנה הם:

♥ כל שבוע שימל (כן, נראה לי שהשם שלה יופיע עוד הרבה ב'אפפוני'. ככה זה כשיש לי סקראפרית חדשה שמוצאת חן בעיניי :)) מעלה אתגר לבלוג שלה – היא מראה התחלה לדף מעוצב ומי שרוצה מוזמן להכין את אותו הדבר, להמשיך את הדף איך שהוא רוצה ולהעלות תמונה וקישור לבלוג שלה. הנה האתגר של השבוע שנראה לי שאני אנסה! (הווווו, אני כבר מתרגשת.... ;))

♥ והנה עוד אתגר דומה מלפני שבועיים (או משהו כזה), שגם אותו מתחשק לי לנסות.

♥ ועוד אתגר – לעצב רק חצי מהדף השלם ולהשאיר את החצי השני ריק.

המממ... 14 קישורים וכולם שייכים לאותן 4 יוצרות... אני מניחה שזה אומר שאני מעריצה נאמנה! D:

מקווה שנהניתם! והיי, אני יודעת שלא כולם אוהבים ללחוץ על קישורים וכו' וכו', אבל אם הטעם שלכם דומה לשלי, אני חושבת שכדאי לכם........

And now a few scrappy challenges. To be honest, usually I don't really like challenges, especially not the kind that is all about the design – I prefer the ones that are about the theme of the layout. For instance, a challenge to create a page about a significant change I've gone through recently inspires me a LOT more than a challenge asking me to create a layout with an arrow or with lots of flowers or specific colors. But the last few days I'm really into trying some; here they are:

♥ If you don't read Shimelle's blog (seriously?!), every week she posts challenge – she shows a beginning of a scrapbook page and everyone who wants to can recreate it and finish the page and upload a photo of it to her blog. Here is today's starting point, I think I'm going to try this one! (hooooo, I'm excited! ;)).

♥ And here is another Starting Point, from two weeks ago (or so), that I also want to try.

♥ And another challenge (yep, Shimelle's again........) – creating a layout that only uses half the page.

Ummmmm... 14 links and they all are of the same 4 scrappers... what can I say? I'm a devoted fan! :D

on sketches and stamps ~ על סקיצות וחותמות

אני לא אוהבת סקיצות ב-כ-ל-ל. הן אף פעם לא ממש מעניינות אותי או עושות לי חשק ליצור. אבל בשבוע שעבר ראיתי את הדף המעוצב ה*מקסים* הזה של Shimelle, שהיא הכינה לפי הסקיצה הזאת:

I don't like sketches AT ALL. They never appeal to me nor inspire me. BUT, last week I saw this LOVELY layout, by The Awesome Shimelle, that she made according to this sketch:

היא גם הכינה סרטון של איך היא הכינה אותו שנורא נהניתי לראות (שוב ושוב ;)) - כאן. וכל זה ממש עשה לי חשק לנסות את הסקיצה:

She also made a video of her creating the layout, and I really enjoyed watching it (more than once ;)) (here). And all that made me go to my scrap space and create this:

ואני ממש מרוצה מאיך שהדף שלי יצא. :)

I really like how it turned out. :)

גם בחותמות (חוץ מבסקיצות) אני בקושי משתמשת. אבל לכבוד הדף הזה חרגתי ממנהגי. :) אחרי שהוספתי את התג (איך קוראים לזה? :)) עם הג'ורנלינג בצד השמאלי התחתון של העמוד, הדף נראה קצת לא מאוזן אז הוספתי את ההחתמה של הפינה המעוטרת בצד ימין למעלה. ועכשיו ממש מתחשק לי לחזור לחותמות שלי. יש לי אוסף *קטנטן* אבל יש בו כמה חותמות ממש ממש נפלאות. :)

Another thing I barely ever use (like sketches) is stamps. How awful is that? Anyway, I did use a stamp on this page! After I added the journaling block in the bottom left corner of this page, I needed something to balance it, so I added the pretty stamped corner on the upper right corner. Now I'm REALLY craving to use my stamps again! I have a *teeny tiny* collection, but it has a few really lovely ones in it. :)

הו, וכן – יש לי עכשיו גם המון חשק להשתמש בסקיצות! במיוחד בסקיצות של Shimelle – כל שבוע היא מעלה סקיצה עם דף מעוצב שהיא הכינה לפיה וסרטון שמראה את כל התהליך. הסרטונים שלה מקסימים וממש ממש כיפיים. צפיתי בהם המוווווון בשבוע האחרון... ;)

Oh, and yes – I'm also craving to use sketches now! Shimelle's sketches, to be exact. If you don't know her blog (oh, no! You SO should!), she has a weekly feature where she shares a sketch, the scrapbook page she made with it + a video showing the process. And those videos are SO lovely. I just LOVE watching them.

Hello, everyone! How are you? I hope everything is just lovely. :) Guess what happened around here last week??? My big brother got married!!!! It was beautiful. It's been an incredible week around here and I'm so thankful. ♥

Ummm... a layout?

היי, זאת אני! :) אבל יותר חשוב מזה – יש בדף הזה 4 תמונות!!! (והוא נראה טוב!) זה כל כך לא רגיל בשבילי. אני תמיד מרגישה שאם יש יותר מתמונה אחד בעמוד אז תשומת הלב מתחלקת בין כל התמונות ושאף אחת מהן לא מקבלת את תשומת הלב הראויה לה... זה מאוד טיפשי או רק קצת? :)

Hey, it's me! :) But more important than that – this layout has 4 photos!!! (and actually looks good!) So unusual in my case. :D I always feel that if a page has more than one photo in it, the viewer's attention is divided between all the photos and none of the them gets the attention it deserves... super silly or just a little? :)

הדוגמא הירקרקה עם הפרחים והעלים היא בד מקסים שמצאתי בעיר ועכשיו הוא הבד האהוב עליי (הבד האהוב עליי הקודם גם הוא נמצא בדף הזה – זה זה עם הפרחים בצבע תכלת שבתחתית העמוד). את הבד הירקרק הדבקתי רק בשוליים הימניים, השמאליים והתחתונים שלו כדי שייצור מעין כיס. בתוכו הכנסתי שני דפים עם שורות שבהם כתבתי את הג'ורנלינג שלי שהכותרת שלו היא: "חיי : כרגע". כתבתי על איך החיים שלי נראים בתקופה הזאת – מה אני עושה כל יום בשבוע, איפה אני לומדת, איך אני מגיעה ללימודים ומה אני עושה בדרך, מה אני עושה בשאר הזמן, דברים שאני מתכננת לעשות בתקופה הקרובה וגם כמה דברים קטנים שאני ממש אוהבת כרגע. בזמן האחרון אני משתדלת שהג'ורנלינג שלי יהיה משהו שאני באמת איהנה לקרוא בעתיד, ואני חושבת שהג'ורנלינג כאן הוא באמת מהסוג הזה. :)

The light green pattern with the flowers and leaves is a lovely fabric I found in a little fabric store in town and now it's my favorite fabric (my former Favorite Fabric is also on this page – it's the blue floral one in the bottom of the page). When I adhered the green fabric, I applied the glue only on the right, left and bottom edges, so that it'd create a 'pocket'. Inside it are two pretty lined sheets with my journaling. I wrote about my life right now – what I do on every day of the week, how I go to school and what I like to do on my way, what I do the rest of the time, things I'm planning to do and random things that I'm loving right now. Recently I've been thinking about meaningful journaling – I want my pages to include things that I will truly enjoy reading in the future, and I think the journaling here may be of that kind. :)

אני חושבת שאם הייתי מכינה את הדף הזה שוב, לא הייתי מדביקה שם את הלב האדום הזה. אני חושבת שזה היה יותר יפה אם הוא היה בצבע ורוד כהה, לא אדום. אבל הוא כבר דבוק ואני לא מתכוונת לטרוח עכשיו לתקן את זה איכשהו או לחילופין – להיות עסוקה בלהתעצבן על זה. ;)

I think that if I had to make this page all over again, I wouldn't add that red heart. I think it would be so much better if it were dark pink and not red. But it's there now and I'm not going to bother to fix it somehow and defenitely not be annoyed about it. ;)

כרגע ~ at the moment

ו.... כרגיייייייל, סליחה על שנעלמתי... אבל אני יכולה לפצות על זה עם דף מעוצב? :)

Annnnnnd... per usual, I'm sorry for my absence...But can I make up for it with a layout? :)

זה היה פיתרון פשוט מ-ע-ו-ל-ה בשביל כל שאריות הנייר הקטנות האלה שפשוט יותר מדי יפות מכדי לזרוק. :) הייתה לי (ועדיין יש לי... אופס) ערימה גדולה של שאריות נייר מקסימות כאלה על השולחן שלי כבר הרבה זמן (וזה לא נראה כזה יפה) אז כל מה שהצטרכתי לעשות זה לגזור אותן לריבועים ולמלבנים קטנים ולהדביק אותן על דף לבן (בעצם, זה הצד השני של דף מדוגם שאת הדוגמא שלא ממש לא אהבתי). השתמשתי ברצועות של קארדסטוק לבן כדי לכתוב את הג'ורנלינג שלי, חתכתי אותיות מלבד ורוד בשביל הכותרת ומסגרתי את כל האזור הזה עם נייר דבק צבעוני שנורא שמחתי למצוא בקרביץ, בתפרים ובמסגרת שציירתי עם צבע קרש. הוספתי מדבקה של ילדת התותים, לבבות לבד נוצצים וכפתור לב וזהו.

את הג'ורנלינג כתבתי בצורה של נקודות קצרות שכל אחת מהן מספרת על משהו שקורה כרגע, דברים כמו ההתרגשות שלי ללמוד רוסית, החתונה המתקרבת, העובדה שאח שלי ואני משחקים טנטריקס כשהוא בא לשבת, איך אני מסתדרת בלימודים מבחינה חברתית, כמה אני נהנית מהבלוג ועוד ועוד.

מה אתם עושים עם שאריות הנייר שלכם? אני חושבת שלהכין מהם רקע זה רעיון ממש ממש טוב (למרות שהייתי ממליצה להקפיד שהעיצוב עצמו יהיה קצת יותר בולט ולא ייבלע ברקע כמו אצלי).

It was SUCH a great solution for all these little scraps of paper that were just way too pretty to throw away! I had (and still have... oops) a big pile of those lovely paper scraps sitting on.my.desk for a long time. So all I needed to do was to just cut them into rectangles and squares and arrange them on a white 12x12" paper (actually it's the back side of a patterned paper, but the I really, really disliked the pattern). I used strips of white cardstock as a home for my journaling, cut the letters for the title out of pink felt (it says "at the moment:", and yes, it's only one short word in Hebrew ;)), and framed that area with decorative tape I was super happy to find in an office supply store, stitching and a simple frame I drew with a colored pencil. A cute shortcake girl sticker, glitter felt hearts and a heart button and I decided it was done!

I used bullet point journaling. every bullet point tells about something that is happening right now in my life. Things like me being excited about learning Russian, the nearing wedding, my brother and I playing Tantrix when he comes over for Shabbat, how I'm doing socially in school, me enjoying blogging and more.

What do you do with your paper scraps? I think making a colorful background with them is a great solution (which, of course, is not my own idea. Just in case it sounded like I was praising my own invention :)) (Oh, and a note: I would recommend, when making a similar background to a layout, to make sure the focal point of your page is bold enough to not blend in with the messy background, which is exactly what happened on my layout).

.בתוך מעטפה ~ inside an envelope.

תכננתי להעלות את הדף המעוצב הזה היום, אבל אז הסתכלתי עליו וגיליתי שאני לא כל כך אוהבת איך שיצאתי בתמונה הזאת, אז החלטתי לא להעלות את הדף הזה ובמקומו לפרסם סתם רשומה פשוטה. אבל אז הבנתי שזה ממש טיפשי.

I planned to post this layout today, but then I looked at it and realized I didn't really like how I look in this photo, so I decided to NOT post it and do just a random post instead. But then I realized it was stupid.

הדף הזה די דומה לדף מהרשומה הקודמת. גם הוא בסגנון המוזר הזה (מוזר בשבילי כי אני לא רגילה אליו) : הוא מאוד 'שטוח', אין בו כמעט קישוטים בכלל, העיצוב ממש בצורת ריבוע והכל מאוד גיאומטרי, נקי ופשוט. הוא נראה הרבה פחות 'מקצועי' מהדפים הרגילים שלי אבל משום מה אני אוהבת אותו ככה. אם הייתי רוצה שייראה באמת יותר מקצועי, הייתי מציירת או תופרת מסגרת עדינה מסביב לכל הריבוע הגדול כדי לאחד את כל העיצוב ואולי הייתי מוסיפה עוד כמה קישוטים קטנטנים קרוב לשוליים של הדף רק בכמה מקומות. אבל השארתי אותו ככה. מעניין אותי למה, כי הוא באמת נראה לי פחות טוב מבחינה מקצועית מהדפים האחרים שלי.

בתוך המעטפה נמצא הג'ורנלינג שלי על שמחה ואושר, על התקופה הזאת בחיי, איך אני מרגישה ועוד ועוד. אני ממש אוהבת את מה שכתבתי שם. אין לי שום ספק שאני איהנה נורא כשאני אקרא את זה בעוד שנים בעזרת ה'. אני אפילו נהנית לקרוא את זה עכשיו, רק כמה שבועות אחרי שכתבתי את זה. הג'ורנלינג בעמוד הזה ממש מראה חלק ממי שאני ואיך שהחיים שלי נראים כרגע רוב הזמן. זה מה שהוא אמור לעשות, לא? אני ממש אוהבת את זה ככה.

It's pretty similar to the layout from my previous post. It's in that same weird (for me, because I'm not used to it) style : very 'flat', almost no embellishments at all, a square-based design and very geometric, clean and simple. It looks a LOT less 'professional' than the layouts I used to make, but from some reason I actually like it. If I wanted it to look better and more professional, I would draw or stitch around the entire block to sort of unify it and add a few embellishments close to the edge of the page, maybe. But I left it this way – without the professional finishes I could add. I wonder why.

Inside the envelope is my journaling about happiness and about this season in my life, how I feel and more. I really like what I wrote there. I have no doubt I'll enjoy reading it years from now (I actually enjoy reading it now, only a few weeks later). This journaling really succeeded to capture a part of my personality and how my life looks most of the time right now. I love that.

את הפרח הכנתי מלבד (בהשראת שרשרת החרציות שלי) והדבקתי אותו רק לחלק המתקפל של המעטפה כדי שאני אוכל לפתוח אותה. את הגבעול הכנתי מחוט יוטה שעטפתי בנייר קרפ ירוק ואת העלים גזרתי מטאפט מדוגם. הדבקתי אותם ממש מוזר. הם ממש יצאו בזווית די מוזרה, נכון? לא נורא.

The flower was made out of felt (I was inspired by my daisy garland (BTW, I just realized the title of that post (the one about my daisy garland) was supposed to be 'a lovely little project' not 'a little lovely project', am I right, dear native English speakers who read my blog? Or maybe it doesn't matter at all? I think it does. It does in Hebrew. I think in Russian it doesn't, though)) and was adhered only to the flap of the envelope, so I'll be able to open it. The stem is made of twine I wrapped with green crepe paper and the leaves were cut out from a patterned contact paper. I adhered them really weird... They just 'stick out' of the stem... don't they? Never mind.

נכון שהם מקסימים? :) אני כל כך אוהבת דפים יפים.

Aren't they LOVELY? :) I just love pretty papers.

סגנון גיאומטרי, מינימליסטי ונקי – ואני?! או: המסע לגילוי סגנון העיצוב החדש שלי החל ~ geometric, minimalist, clean design – and me?! or: my journey to discovering my new scrapbooking style has begun.

הכנתי את הדף המעוצב הזה לפני כחודשיים:

I made this layout about 2 months ago:

והסגנון שלו ממש חדש לי. זה היה עוד לפני שהכנתי את הדף שהראיתי לכם מוקדם יותר השבוע אז הוא היה הדף הכי פשוט שהכנתי אי פעם. והכי מינימליסטי. והכי גיאומטרי. והכי נקי. הנה – תשוו אותו לדפים האלה:

Its style is really new to me. It was before I made the page I showed you earlier this week so it was probably THE simplest layout I'd ever made. And the most minimalist one. And the most geometric one. And the cleanest one. here – compare it to these layouts:

וואו. זה כל כך מוזר. הדפים האחרונים שלי כל כך שונים מאלה (יש לי עוד עמוד או שניים להראות לכם שגם הם בסגנון החדש הזה). אין לי מושג איך סגנון העיצוב שלי השתנה כל כך הרבה בזמן כל כך קצר. אני חייבת להכין עוד הרבה דפים כדי שאני אוכל לגלות את הסגנון החדש שלי. פשוט להמשיך לנסות דברים חדשים.

Wow. It's SO weird. My recent layouts are so different than these (I have another one or two pages to show you that are in this new style too). I have no idea how within such a short amount of time my scrapbooking style has changed so much. I really need to make more layouts ASAP and discover my new style. Just try out more things.

When I made this layout (that I shared with you here):

חשבתי שזה השילוב הנכון בין הדף הראשון ברשומה הזאת לבין כל הדפים האחרים שלי. כאילו זה היחס הנכון (*בשבילי*) בין גיאומטרי ופשוט לבין מקושט מאוד ומורכב (נכון שמבחינת הצבעים והדוגמאות הוא כן מורכב ונורא צבעוני, אבל מבחינת החומרים עצמם הוא יחסית פשוט - בעיקר נייר ושתי שורות של אמבלישמנטים). אני צריכה עוד לחשוב על זה. ולגלות את הסגנון החדש שלי.

המממ... זה די מרתק.

נ.ב. אני *חייבת* לציין שאני נורא אוהבת את שלושת הזוגות של הלבבות + הנגטיבים של הלבבות בדף העליון. אני *ממש* אוהבת אותם. אני חושבת שהם עושים את הדף הזה 'אני', אפילו שהסגנון כל כך שונה מהסגנון שהייתי מחשיבה הרגיל שלי.

נ.ב.2. ועוד משהו שאני ממש, אבל ממש, *חייבת* לציין – זאת הרשומה הרביעית שלי בארבעה ימים!! זה בהחלט מחייב ציון. אבל אני חושבת שממליצים לא להתרגל לזה. לא כשזה מגיע ל'אפפוני'. ;)

נ.ב.3. (אני יודעת. אני מלכת הנּוּנְבֵּתִּים) אתם יכולים ללחוץ על כל אחד מהדפים המעוצבים הישנים יותר כדי להגיע לרשומות המקוריות שלהם (אם אתם רוצים לקרוא עליהם או משהו). חלק מהם אפילו יובילו אתכם לבלוג הישן שלי! :)

I felt like it was the right combination between the layout at the top of this post and all my other layouts. Like it was the right proportion (for *me*) between geometric and simple to super-embellished and complex (it's true that color-wise and pattern-wise it is super colorful and not very 'clean', but product-wise and composition-wise it is sort of simple - a few papers and two rows of embellishments - they are not scattered all over the page). I need to think about it more. And discover my new style.

hmmm... It's kind of fascinating.

P.S. I just HAVE to note that I LOOOOVE the 3 hearts + negative hearts on the top layout. I truly love them. I feel like they are what makes this page so 'me' even though the style is so different than my usual one. Even my sister agrees.

P.P.S. Another thing that i just HAVE to note – this is my 4^th post in 4 days!!! It really is a milestone. But I think they recommend to NOT get used to it. Not when it comes to Afafuny. ;)

אל paperview – הבלוג של ננסי – הגעתי לפני כמה שבועות בדרך-לא-דרך. זיהיתי אותה מיד מדף מעוצב מקסים שהופיע בגיליון מאי / יוני 2011 של Creating Keepsakes:

I stumbled upon Paperview – Nancy's blog – a few weeks ago. I immediately recognised her from an amazing scrapbook page I'd seen in the May / June 2011 issue of Creating Keepsakes:

כשראיתי את הדף הזה במגזין, אהבתי אותו מאוד, קראתי מה שהיא כתבה בו ואפילו דיברתי עליו עם אחותי. :) נורא התלהבתי כשהגעתי פתאום לבלוג שלה ואפילו רצתי למעלה להביא את הגיליון כדי לבדוק אם אני באמת צודקת ואם זאת באמת היא. :)

I'd really loved this page, carefully read the journaling and even talked about it with my sister. :) I got really excited when I found her blog and even ran upstairs to fetch the magazine so I could make sure whether I was right about that layout being hers. :)

כמה מהבלוגים שאני הכי הכי אוהבת כרגע, הם כולם בלוגים שבפעם הראשונה שנכנסתי אליהם לא התלהבתי מהם מספיק כדי להחליט לעקוב אחריהם. אחרי כמה זמן, שוב נתקלתי בהם איכשהו ושוב נכנסתי אליהם ושוב לא התלהבתי. וכך כמה וכמה פעמים. עד שפעם אחת נכנסתי ופתאום הם כבשו את ליבי. :) זה נכון לגבי הבלוג של אלסי, שאם מישהו שואל אותי הוא הבלוג הכי מעורר השראה בעולם :) וזה נכון גם לגבי הבלוג של Elise שמשום מה רק בפעם המי-יודע-כמה שנכנסתי אליו, פתאום קלטתי שהוא פשוט מ-ד-ה-י-ם. :) וזה נכון לגבי עוד כל מיני בלוגים שאני ממש אוהבת אבל משום מה בפעמים הראשונות שהגעתי אליהם הם לא ממש מצאו חן בעיניי. אבל הבלוג של ננסי זה סיפור אחר לגמרי. מיד בפעם הראשונה שנכנסתי אליו התלהבתי נורא. אני לא יודעת בדיוק מה גרם לי לאהוב אותו כל כך כבר ברגע הראשון, אבל בימים הבאים טרחתי לחזור אחורה כמה וכמה חודשים כדי להשלים לפחות חלק ממה שפספסתי. :) ♥

Some of my TOP favorite blogs right now are blogs that the first time I entered them, I didn't like them enough to decide to follow them. After a while, I stumbled upon them again, entered them again and again – didn't get very excited about them. And it happened a few more times, until one day I entered them AGAIN and then, from some weird reason, they suddenly stole my heart. :) It's true about Elsie's blog that is one of the most inspiring blogs EVER if anyone asks me. It's true about Elise's blog too – it took me forever until that one time when I entered it for the who-knows-which time in which I suddenly discovered how awesome it really was. (What took me so long? I have no idea.) But with Nancy's blog it was completely different. I think it stole my heart the moment I entered it. :) I have no idea what made me love it so much so instantly, but the next few days I made sure to go back a few months in the archives and catch up a bit on what I had missed. :) ♥

One of the things I love most about Nancy's scrapbook pages is that they are about her. Most scrappers, if I'm not mistaken, usually make pages for their kids' albums or for their family's albums, but Nancy makes pages that are self-portraits. Most of her layouts use photos of her and tell about her feelings, her thoughts and her struggles. it makes her pages super fascinating and super unique! They are also super inspiring to me and provide me a lot of ideas for topics I can use on my own pages (because I, too, mostly scrapbook about myself).

אני נ-ו-ר-א אוהבת את הדף הזה. לא רק בגלל התמונות המקסימות והעיצוב המדהים, אלא גם בגלל הנושא (לחצו על התמונה כדי להגיע לרשומה המקורית שבה התמונה מופיעה יותר בגדול יותר כך שקל יותר לקרוא את הג'ורנלינג). אני כל כך מבינה אותה. אני אוהבת את הדף הזה נורא.

I love, love, love this page. Not only for the lovely photos and pretty design, but also for the subject Nancy discussed here (click the photo for the link to its original post, where it's easier to read the journaling). I can SO identify with Nancy's words. I love this page so much.

Through her blog you can really get to know her and her world a bit. It's just lovely in my opinion. I love that. She writes about things that are making her happy, new music she loves, her travels with her husband and her personal struggles. ♥

אח שלי ואני ~ my brother & I

הדף המעוצב הכי פשוט שהכנתי אי פעם :

Simplest scrapbook page EVEEEER :

אני אוהבת אותו נורא. השתמשתי בתמונה שאח שלי ואני צילמנו באירוסין של אח שלנו השני. זאת הפעם הראשונה שאני משתמשת בתמונה כזאת גדולה (19/25 ס"מ) בדף מעוצב ואני ממש אוהבת איך שזה יצא. נייר הדבק המדוגם מסביב לתמונה הוא של 7gypsies שחתכתי אותו לחצי ברוחב כדי שיהיה צר יותר. הוספתי לב נוצץ מסול, מדבקת לב בצבע זהב, וזהו.

I love it so much. I used the picture my brother and I took together just before my other brother’s engagement party started. It's the first time I use such a big photo on a scrapbook page, and I love it for this purpose. I used 7gypsies tape that I cut in half in width to frame the photo, added one glittered felt heart and one gold heart and called it done.

לא כתבתי מי בתמונה, כי לא ממש הייתה לי סיבה לכתוב – אני יודעת טוב מאוד שזה אח שלי ואני. לא כתבתי את התאריך – למרות שזה משהו שאני תמיד עושה – בגלל שאני תמיד אזכור שצילמנו את התמונה הזאת באירוסין של אח שלי, מיד לפני שכולם הגיעו. גם לא כתבתי על כך שאח שלי ואני קרובים זה לזה ואוהבים לעשות כל מיני דברים יחד, בגלל שגם את זה אין סיבה לכתוב. התמונה כבר אומרת את כל זה. ועוד.

אני ממש אוהבת את זה.

I didn't write who's in the photo, because I figured out it wasn't necessary – I know it's my brother and I. I didn't write the date – which is something I always do – because I'll always remember we took it in my (other) brother's engagement party. I didn't write about how my brother and I are close and love doing (sometimes silly) things together, because it wasn't necessary either. The photo already says all that. And more.

I really love that.

!הפרויקט הראשון שלי בעיצוב פנים ~ my very 1st interior design project!

אני כל כך שמחה להיות כאן שוב! :) ביום שני שעבר סיימתי סופסוף את הפרויקט הראשון שלי בעיצוב פנים! הימים האחרונים לפני ההגשה סבבו סביב סיום הפרויקט הזה – ישבתי על הרצפה מוקפת בהמוווון חומרים ובבלגן אחד ענק וניסיתי לסיים ולמחוק כמה שיותר פריטים מהרשימה של דברים שאני עוד צריכה להכין. זה ממש נחמד להיות אחרי זה. ביום שני בערב אמרתי לאמא שלי, "זה היה כיף, אבל את יודעת... זה היה מתיש", ואני חושבת שזה מסכם את החוויה די טוב. :) אני ממש שמחה לחזור עכשיו לימים שסובבים סביב יותר מדבר אחד שהוא לסיים לעצב סלון קלאסי קטנטן. :)

אז... הנה כמה תמונות, אבל לפני כן – כמה דברים: :)

הדגם הוא בגודל 50x50 ס"מ ובגובה 30 ס"מ. קנה המידה הוא 1:10 – מטר אחד במציאות שווה ל-10 ס"מ בדגם, כך שהוא מייצג חלל בגודל 5x5 מטרים עם קירות בגובה של 3 מטר.

המשימה הייתה לעצב סלון בסגנון קלאסי. התברר שהסלון שלי הוא יותר מדי קלאסיסטי – ויקטוריאני / בארוקי – ופחות מדי קלאסי אמיתי. אבל זה בסדר. :)

חוץ מהפרחים (שאתם בטח מכירים מהדפים המעוצבים שלי) ומהגביעים והבקבוק שעשויים מתכת, הכנתי את הכל מקאפה, קרטון ביצוע, בדים, טאפט (המון המון טאפט, ליתר דיוק :)), חרוזים, דאס ועוד כל מיני.

אז... מוכנים? :)

Hello, everyone! I'm so happy to be back here. Last Monday I FINALLY finished & presented my very 1^st project for my interior design studies! The last few days before Monday were all about finishing this model – sitting on the floor surrounded by lots of supplies and one huge mess and trying to cross off as much as I could from my items-yet-to-be-made list. It's really nice to be over that. I told my mom Monday evening, "it was fun, but you know... it was exhausting" which I think sort of wraps up the experience. :) I'm really happy to come back to my normal routine now, to days that have on their agenda more than that one thing which is finishing designing a tiny classic living room. :)

So, here are a few photos of my model, but a few notes first: :)

The model is 50cm (20") square and 30cm (12") tall. The ratio is 1:10 (1m IRL is 10cm in the model), so it represents a 5x5m (~5.5x5.5 yard) space. The walls are 3m (10 feet) tall.

The task was to design a classic living room. Apparently I made it a bit too classist, too victorian/baroque, and less 'classic greece', but that's just fine, too. :)

Except for the flowers and metal bottle and cups, I made everything out of cardboard, fabric, paper, contact paper (tons of contact paper, to be exact), acrylic paint, Das and more.

So... ready?

שאר התלמידים והמרצה שלנו ממש אהבו את הדגם שלי. :) מה דעתכם? האמת היא שאני כבר הרבה אחרי כל ההתרגשות... :)

שיהיה לכם שבוע נ-פ-ל-א-! אני אחזור בקרוב עם רשומה רגילה וסקראפית. ;)

זה אומר "זה מטוס גדול" ברוסית. (הייתי כותבת את זה ברוסית (ז'תומרת מעתיקה מהספר ;)), אבל זה מסובך עם מקלדת רגילה. :)) אני יודעת את זה בגלל שאתמול הייתי בשיעור רוסית הראשון שלי! נהניתי נורא. התחלנו אפילו לקרוא! והיום, כמו ילדה טובה, חזרתי בבית על מה שלמדנו אתמול והתחלתי לקרוא קטעים שעוד לא קראנו בכיתה. :)

זה כזה מגניב ללמוד שפה חדשה. :)

נ.ב. היי! תודות ל-Google Translate (פשוט הקלדתי "זה מטוס גדול" באנגלית והוא הביא לי את זה ברוסית ורק העתקתי): Это большой самолет. מגניב, לא? :)

It means "it's a big airplane" in Russian. (I would have typed it in russian (aka: copy from my book ;)), but it's not so easy without the proper keyboard. :)) I should know because yesterday I had my first Russian lesson! I had a great time! We even started READING! And today, like a good girl, I practised what we learnt yesterday and even started reading a few pages we hadn't learnt in class yet. :)

It's so cool to learn a new language.

בלוג יקר שלי,

אני מצטערת שנטשתי אותך. כדי להראות לך כמה אני מצטערת, אני אראה לך את אחד הדפים המעוצבים שלי שאני הכי אוהבת כרגע.

אבל לפני כן, אני רק אבהיר לך משהו – במשפחה שלי, ימי הולדת, ימי נישואין ודברים כאלה אנחנו חוגגים לפי התאריך העברי. גם תכנונים של "מה אני רוצה להספיק החודש" וכו' אני מתכננת לפי הלוח העברי. שמתי לב שחודש סיון (שהתחיל ב-3 ביוני ונגמר ב-2 ביולי השנה) היה פשוט חודש נפלא בשבילי. אז הכנתי לכבודו דף מעוצב:

I'm sorry for abandoning you. To show you how sorry I am, I'll share with you one of my new favorite scrapbook pages.

But before that, I need to make something clear – in my family, we celebrate birthdays, anniversaries and such according to the Hebrew calendar. I use the Hebrew calendar to make monthly to-do lists and goals too. Actually, I use the Hebrew calendar whenever I can. So, I've noticed that last month – Sivan ( June 3^rd – July 2^nd this year) – was a LOVELY month for me. So I scrapbooked it!

1. עכשיו אני מרגישה סופר נבוכה בגלל התמונות שלי. אבל אני אתגבר.

בתוך המעטפה יש רשימה ארוכה שמסכמת את החודש הזה – דברים כיפיים שעשיתי ודברים נפלאים שקרו. על המעטפה סיכמתי בקיצור שסיון תשע"א היה חודש נפלא והבאתי דוגמאות לכמה מהדברים הטובים שקרו בו.

In the envelope is a long list wrapping up this lovely month – fun things I did and wonderful things that happened. On the envelope I wrote that Sivan was a great month and gave a few examples of good things that happened in it.

It says: "So many times during this month I felt life is simply wonderful and that it's a wonderful time in my life. It's a wonderful feeling. ♥♥♥"

אני אוהבת שלפרח הזה אין גבעול. :) את הפרח גזרתי ביד ואת העלים גזרתי מטאפט.

I love this stemless flower. :) I cut the flower by hand, and the leaves were cut out from contact paper.

ולעניין שונה לגמרי : ביום שני בערב הייתה מסיבת האירוסין לאח שלי! היה כל כך, כל כך כיף. אח שלי השני היה הצלם ה'רשמי' אבל אני הבאתי את המצלמה הקטנה שלי וצילמתי תמונות גם. לפני שכולם הגיעו, נעמדנו שנינו לפני מראה וצילמנו את התמונה הזאת יחד:

And something completely non crafty (well, not completely, since I already scrapped this photo) : Monday night was my brother's engagement party! It was SO MUCH FUN. We had a great time! My other brother was the 'official' photographer but I took my point-and-shoot camera along and snapped photos too. Before everyone arrived, we took this photo together in front of a mirror:

רק עדכון קטנטן ~ just a tiny update

היי, כולם! רציתי רק לקפוץ ולספר לכם על כמה התרחשויות אחרונות. תכננתי להראות לכם היום דף מעוצב (תכננתי להראות אותו כבר אתמול, ליתר דיוק) אבל אני צריכה דבר ראשון לצלם אותו. :) אז במקום:

♥ כבר שבוע שאני יודעת בדיוק איך ייראה הסלון הקלאסי בפרויקט שלי! יאי!!

♥ התחלתי לעבוד על המודל עצמו וזה ממש כיף. אני לא ממהרת יותר מדי ועושה את זה צעד אחד צעד. לאט לאט.

♥ מצאתי עבודה שאני ממש ממש רוצה לקבל! אתמול הגשתי מועמדות ואני נורא מקווה שאני אתקבל. זה יהיה נפלא. אני חושבת שהעבודה הזאת תהיה מצויינת בשבילי. זה לא בחנות פרחים או במשתלה :) אבל אני חושבת שאני ממש ממש אהנה בה. אם אני אקבל אותה. אני מקווה שכן.

♥ מצאתי היום שמלה לחתונה של אח שלי!!! היא ממש יפה. ומקסימה. היא לא בצבע ירוק בהיר או תכלת בהיר כמו שרציתי אבל היא נפלאה. אני ממש אוהבת אותה.

♥ היום היה לנו סיור לימודי בקיסריה. אנחנו לומדים כרגע תולדות האמנות וסיימנו עם רומא, אז נסענו לקיסריה לראות עתיקות מאותה תקופה. היה נפלא! אחר כך הלכנו כולנו למסעדה והיה כל כך נפלא. אנחנו קבוצה קטנה וכולם ממש נחמדים אבל – ביישנית שכמותי – אני עדיין לא מרגישה לגמרי בנוח בחברה החדשה הזאת. אבל במסעדה, ולאחר מכן בדרך הביתה, הכרתי חברות חדשות. זה פשוט נפלא. אנשים הם פשוט כל כך נפלאים.

הו, ואיך שכחתי – אם כבר מדברים על דברים נפלאים שקרו בזמן האחרון – לפני שבועיים קניתי סופסוף תיק מקסים (כבר המון זמן שאני צריכה תיק חדש) וגם נעליים שאני ממש ממש אוהבת. ואתמול קניתי עוד תיק. :) אבל שיהיה ברור :) : אני ממש, ממש לא אחת שמתלהבת לא מתיקים ולא מנעליים. אני עושה קניות כאלה רק כשאני ממש ממש ממש ממש (וכן, אני מתכוונת ממש ממש ממש ממש) חייבת, אבל הפעם זה היה שונה. וזה היה נורא כיף.

Hi, everyone! Just wanted to tell you about a few things that happened around here in the last few days :

♥ I have all the design for my classic living room project mapped out! Yay!!

♥ I started working on the model itself and it’s really fun. I'm taking it step by step. One step at a time.

♥ I found a job I really really want to get! I applied yesterday and hope I'll be accepted. It will be SO great. I think this job will be really great for me. It's not in a flower shop nor in a nursery :), but I do think I'll enjoy it a lot. If I get the job. I really hope I will.

♥ I found a dress today for my brother's wedding!!! It's SO pretty. & lovely. I love it. It's not light green or light blue though. But it's fine. I love it. :)

♥ Today we had an educational tour in Caesarea. We are learning history of the art right now and we finished with Rome so we went there to see remains from that period. It was great! And afterwards we went to a restaurant and it was just so good. We are a little group and everyone is really nice but I'm so shy and still feel a bit uncomfortable in this new company. But in the restaurant, and later on the way back home, I made new friends. It feels so good. People are so nice and kind.

Oh, how could I forget – speaking of lovely things that have happened recently – two weeks ago I finally bought a sweet bag (I’d needed a new bag for a loooong time now) and a lovely pair of shoes! And yesterday I bought another bag! :) Just to make it perfectly clear :) – I’m not the type of girl that goes crazy about shoes and bags. Not in the least. I buy them only when I really really really really (and yes, I do mean really really really really) have to. But this time it was different. It was so much fun.

היי... מצטערת שנעלמתי לכמה ימים... :) אבל חזרתי ויש לי בלוג מקסים לספר לכם עליו: Raspberry Suite - הבלוג של דון מקבי.

דון היא יוצרת כרטיסים מדהימה וגם מעצבת חותמות בשביל חברת Papertrey Ink הגאונית. יש לה 26 (!) סטים של חותמות שהיא עיצבה בליין שלה שנקרא, כמו הבלוג שלה, Raspberry Suite. הו, והמון כרטיסים שלה התפרסמו במגזינים. המון. ;)

Hi... sorry for my absence the past few days... :) But I'm back and I have a lovely blog to share with you today! Raspberry Suite – Dawn McVey's blog.

If you don't know her already, Dawn is an awesome card-maker and stamper! She designs for the brilliant Papertrey Ink. She has 26 (!) stamp collections in her Raspberry Suite line, and she has been published – well, A LOT. ;)

אני נורא אוהבת את הבלוג של דון! אפילו שאני בקושי (בקושי בקושי) יוצרת כרטיסים ואני גם בקושי משתמשת בחותמות, ואפילו שהסגנון שלה ממש שונה משלי, אני נורא אוהבת לראות את הכרטיסים שלה ולקרוא את התיאורים של איך שהיא הכינה אותם, וגם לקרוא על הטיולים שלה בחו"ל עם בעלה, על הגינה שלהם ומה לא. :) והדבר הכי חשוב – דון היא פשוט כייפית וזה גורם לבלוג שלה להיות אפילו יותר כייפי ומקסים!! ♥

I LOVE Dawn's blog! Even though I barely (and I mean super barely) make cards and stamp anymore, and even though her style is super different than mine, I just love looking at her cards and reading all the descriptions of how she made them and just overall following her blog and reading about her travels with her husband, their garden and everything in between. :) And the most important thing – Dawn is just so fun and that makes her blog even more fun to read!! ♥

צמיד + תג ~ bracelet + tag

היום קיבלנו את ההדרכות הראשונות לפרויקט הראשון שלנו בעיצוב פנים! אני צריכה לעצב סלון בגודל 5x5 מטר בסגנון קלאסי מודרני ולהכין מודל שלם של הסלון הזה. שזה אומר שאני אצטרך לבנות בעצמי דברים כמו ספה, נברשת, אח, פסנתר ודברים כאלה. שזה אומר שאני קצת לחוצה. :)

בכל מקרה, בזכות הרשומה הזאת של Elise הגעתי להדרכה הנפלאה הזאת שמלמדת להכין צמידי ידידות ארוגים, וכמובן שהתלהבתי נורא. :) כבר הספקתי להכין לעצמי שלושה כאלה וגם אחד לאחותי, אחד לאחיינית שלי ואחד לחברה טובה שלי מהתיכון, שהוא היחיד שיש לי תמונות שלו כרגע:

Today we received instructions for our very first interior design project! The assignment is to design a 5.5x5.5 yard living room in a modern classic style and make a model of that living room. Which means I'll have to build things like a sofa, a chandelier, a fireplace and a piano on my own. Which means I'm quite nervous. :)

Ok, now back to our regular business – thanks to this post on Elise's blog I got to this awesome woven friendship bracelet tutorial. I already made myself three of those + one for my sister, one for my niece and one for a super good friend of mine from high school. Hers is the only one I have photos of right now:

החברה שבשבילה הכנתי את הצמיד הזה אוהבת צעיפים. היא הייתה באה לבית הספר עטופה בצעיף המון פעמים. אחד הצעיפים שהיא הכי אהבה היה בצבעים האלה, אז כשניסיתי לחשוב על שילוב צבעים שהיא תאהב בשביל הצמיד שלה, מיד עלה לי בראש כתום, ירוק וצהבהב. ♥♥♥

The friend I made this bracelet for loves scarves. She used to come to school wrapped in a scarf a lot. And I still have a mental picture of one of her favorite scarves which is in those colors. So when I tried to think of a color combo she'd love, those colors just popped in my head. ♥♥♥

אחות גאה ~ I'm One Proud Sister

אתמול בלילה אחותי ביקשה שנסקראפפ ביחד! זה אירוע ממש מיוחד! אחותי יודעת המון על סקראפבוקינג: חברות, סקראפריות מפורסמות, שמות של קולקציות, DTs, מגזינים, סגנונות – הכל. בכל פעם שאני מקבלת גיליון חדש של Creating Keepsakes, היא עוברת על כולו, ובדיוק כמוני – דבר ראשון מחפשת בו עמודים של מגי הולמס. אנחנו נורא אוהבת את מגי הולמס. שתינו חושבות שהיא הסקראפרית הכי מדהימה בעולם. :) אנחנו אוהבות להסתכל במגזין יחד ולדון בדפים המעוצבים, העיצובים, הצבעים והסגנונות. והיא אוהבת את האלבום המעוצב שלי. היא *מומחית* בסקראפבוקינג. אבל רק בתיאוריה. היא לא אוהבת לסקראפפ – היא אומרת שזה לא בשבילה.

אבל אתמול בלילה ההורים שלנו הלכו לבר מצווה ונשארנו לבד בבית. הייתי בחדר שלנו כששמעתי אותה קוראת לי מהסלון ומציעה שנסקראפפ ביחד! ♥

Last night, my sister asked me to scrap with me! That's SO unusual. My sister knows a LOT about scrapbooking: manufacturers, famous scrappers, lines, DTs, magazines, styles – everything. Every time I get a new issue of Creating Keepsakes in the mail, she goes through it all and – exactly like me – first of all looks for layouts by Maggie Holmes. We both LOVE Maggie Holmes and think she is the most amazing scrapper EVER. :) We love looking through CK together and talk about this layout and that design and those colors and that style. And she loves my scrapbook. She IS an expert in scrapbooking. But only in theory. She doesn't like to scrapbook. She says it's not for her.

But last night, my parents went to a Bar-Mitzva party and we stayed at home. I was in our room when I heard her calling me from the living room and suggesting to scrap together. And we did! ♥

אני כל כך גאה בה! :) אני נורא *נורא* אוהבת את הצבעים. האפור עם הצבעים הפסטליים, הירוק לימון, הוורוד וה-kraft? *ג-א-ו-נ-י*. אני ממש אוהבת את השילוב הזה. והריבועים והקווים הסופר עקומים והאיורים הקטנים פשוט נ-פ-ל-א-י-ם! אני כל כך גאה בה! הדף הזה מדהים לפי דעתי. והיי, היא אפילו השתמשה ב-mist בדף הזה! קשה לראות את זה בתמונה, אבל היא ריססה על הקארדסטוק האפור במיסט בצבע ירקרק-תכלכל.

האיורים הם של דברים שמשמחים אותה, כמו החתונה של אח שלנו, תינוקות, שבת, רשימות וזה:

I'm SO proud of her! :) I LOVE, love, love the colors! The grey with the pastel colors and the lemon green, pink and kraft? BRILLIANT. I just love it! The super crooked squares and lines and the little super cute illustrations!! I'm SO proud of her. It's gorgeous! And she even used mist on this page! It's hard to see in the photo, but she sprayed the grey cardstock with greenish-light bluish mist.

The title says "my life is colorful". She illustrated the things that make her happy – like our brother's wedding, of course, baby stuff and lists. The one in the middle is Shabbat (women light candles before Shabbat so candlesticks have become a symbol of Shabbat). And this one:

היא נורא אוהבת זנב סנונית נאה. זה שם של פרפר שפעם היא גידלה זחלים שלו ואחר כך הם הפכו לפרפרים צהובים ענקיים. והיי! תראו:

is papilio machaon. It's been her favorite butterfly since she had caterpillars of it as pets and they turned into big, pretty, yellow butterflies. Andddd, look at this one! :)

אני נורא אוהבת איך שהיא יצרה בלי לחשוב על ה'חוקים'... אני מתכוונת, הדף הזה לא היה מתפרסם במגזינים או משהו כזה. הוא לא בסגנון של מגזינים. אבל אני חושבת שהוא מקסים. אני נורא אוהבת את הצבעים, העיצוב והאיורים המקסימים, אבל הכי הכי אני אוהבת את העיצוב הפשוט כייפי. היא לא חשבה יותר מדי על מה אחרים יחשבו על הדף הזה או אם הוא נראה כמו הדפים ה'מושלמים' שרואים במגזינים. היא פשוט עשתה מה שבא לה. אני ממש צריכה ללמוד ממנה.

הווווווווווווו, יום רביעי כמעט נגמר. שיהיה לכם יום חמישי מקסים ומלא בדברים כיפיים! אפרת.

נ.ב. נחשו מי גזרה את כל האותיות לכותרת בשביל אחותה הקטנה? ;)

I just love how she didn't follow the "rules"... I mean, it's not a page we'd see in a magazine or something. But I really think it's beautiful. I just love the colors, the design and the sweet illustrations, but above all, I love the simply fun design. She didn't think too much about what others would think of this page or whether it was as 'perfect' as the layouts in the magazines. She just had fun. Super inspiring.
