But I have a good idea…Christmas shopping!

I have not added many new sites this month. I’ve spent all month updating my lowest performing sites.

What’s been updated?

* Switched to a cleaner, simpler WordPress theme (Yadda Yadda thme).
* Upgraded to phpBay version 4.0 which uses the new, and faster, eBay RSS feed.
* Reduced the number of phpBay eBay listings on my website pages.
* Reduced the number of pages listed in the sidebar.
* Added “alt” and “title” tags to the images on my Auction2Post generated pages.
* Added some AdSense blocks to non-home pages.

Overall, I think I’ve improved the speed at which my pages open, I think I’ve made my sites more appealing to Google, and I think I’ve made it easier for folks to make sense of what they are seeing on my web pages.

Almost all of the sites I’ve updated have experienced improved traffic and improved clicks within days of the update.

Here are some of my stats from November:

EPC: $0.23
Clicks per Day: 288
Earnings per Day: $65.33
Earning per Site per Day: $0.23
Earnings per Site per Month: $7.05

Also, my 17 Amazon sites earned $30 with a conversion rate of 3.60%. AdSense earnings were $81.

Certain statistics are listed below. I decided to start showing my Amazon affiliate stats also.

Despite adding new websites, I am continuing to see fewer impressions, fewer clicks, and fewer winning bids. My AdSense earnings continue on their downward trend, and I do not expect that to turn around. My Amazon earnings are growing, though, as I have recently started to build Amazon affilate sites.

For October, I am continuing to build new sites and explore new niches. Maybe build a few holiday-related websites to take advantage of the Christmas gift buying frenzy.

cPanel runs off of ports 2082 and 2083. Certain firewalls will block these two ports, which if you are behind a firewall that blocks these ports, you will not be able to access your cPanel. In such an event, you can use the cPanel proxy to access cPanel over the standard web port of 80. To do this, use http://cpanel.yourdomain.com (replacing yourdomain.com with your actual domain name). cPanel proxy is enabled on some hosting accounts by default, but if you experience any problems with the cPanel proxy, please contact your webhost’s support department for additional assistance.

I contacted ServInt support online and they eventually set this up for me. The first tech didn’t understand what I was asking, and one even told me that it could not be done, but I politely re-framed the question and resubmitted it one day later. I suggested that maybe the Tier 2 department could help me.

Anyway, they were able to set it up and I can now use cPanel from work and I am much more productive at building websites now. (Not so productive doing my employer’s work, though.)

Yup, today I am a happy ServInt customer.

Other news:

* I’ve moved most sites to my ServInt dedicated host. I am in the process of shutting down my shared hosting accounts on Bluehost, Justhost, Hostgator, Hostpapa, etc.

* I am now using the OneLungThin method to create Amazon affiliate sites. In August Dan released a clone for setting up “Amathin” Amazon thin sites. With only two Amathin sites created, I am off to a slow start, but I’m planning to build 30+ Amathin sites in September.

* I created 43 new EPN sites in August. I continue to tweak and modify my site-creation-process. Most of my new sites are OLT “hybrids” — OLT Thin-n-Spins with Auction2Post automations set to create new pages daily.

* My new favorite WordPress theme is the free Yadayada Minimalismus theme.

* Goals for September: create 60 new EPN sites, create 30 new Amazon thin sites

July is starting slow, I expect my July earnings will be about 1/2 of what my June earnings were.
