You see, we’re always quite busy with what we intent to achieve. So much, that we don’t have time to lean back and think about WHAT exactly we’re doing right now.

It doesn’t matter if you’re successfully or still waiting to make your first dollar, there is always room for improvement.
Here are 10 great tips to improve your Internet Marketing business.

1. Use A Plan
   Always! In fact, you probably have many plans. Write them down, all of them.
   Then, depending on your experience as an Internet marketer, select the one that seems the easiest to achieve, or the most profitable or the one you just love to do.
   Write down why you selected your favorite plan. And write down your experiences, good and bad, as you are trying to achieve it. Thus you will build a knowledge center for yourself that you can use as future reference.

   Always follow your plan. It will keep you focused on tasks at hand and will lead you to success, one way or another.

2. Set Goals
   Goal setting should always be part of your plan. Set challenging goals, but stay realistic. A hundred consecutive baby steps are easier to manage and achieve then one big project. They keep you motivated and moving in the right direction.
   It always amazes me how many people have problems setting goals. Here’s an amazingly cheap and great resource that will help you setting them up.
3. Outsource
   Outsource as much as you can. Yes, you can do many things yourself, but time is your most precious asset. Certainly on the Net, because there’s a lot of competition and they may beat you if your projects take too long.
   Also, spending too much time by doing everything yourself, demotivates. Especially if your doing things you don’t like or aren’t good at. You’d better spend your time well doing important things, like marketing your products.
4. Network
   You probably know the adage: “it’s not what you know, it’s WHO you know”. Therefore, you definitely should network with other Internet marketers. It’s difficult to try to succeed completely on your own. Don’t do that. Instead, network with other online marketers and with people within each of your niches.
5. Be Positive
   A lot of Internet marketers neglect the mental side of success. If you really want to succeed you have to be mentally ready for that and being positive will certainly help. Don’t permit yourself to get depressed or to consider quitting.
6. Believe in Yourself
   Believing in yourself is a really big part of always being positive. You are destined to fail If you don’t believe in yourself. Yes, there will always be people who are better than you, more skilled, smarter or whatever, but remember, there are also thousands of people who can learn from you. If you DO believe in yourself then, in time, you will succeed.
7. Customer First
   If you always put the customer first, you will ‘automagically’ improve your Internet marketing business. Remember, you wouldn’t generate any money online without people paying you money. Your customers do just that. So, always put them first. Challenge yourself to get more out of them.
8. Stay Focused
   You absolutely need to stay focused to achieve success with your Internet marketing business. That doesn’t mean you always have to work on one project at a time. Sometimes a little distraction is a positive thing, so if you’re working on 2 different projects, that may be ok.
   Staying focused just means following the plan, as discussed above. You shouldn’t allow yourself to get distracted while you’re working.
9. Never Stop Learning
   A biggie! To improve your Internet Marketing business you should never stop learning. You may feel you know everything about certain topics, but you can always learn more. Remember that knowledge is thriving power that will lead to even more success.
10. Take Time for Yourself
    The last great tip to enhance your Internet Marketing business is to take time for yourself.
    Believe me, I was blown away in April this year when I was hospitalized for immediate open heart surgery.
    Everything stopped. Business, family life, everything.
    Fortunately I recovered (physically that is, the mental part definitely is another issue!), but it could have ended otherwise. And I wasn’t even aware of any problem!
    Don’t let that happen to you. Don’t simply work all the time. Be sure you step away from Internet Marketing so you can recharge your battery.

And just because of that recurring income, membership sites allow you to survive bad times, like the economic recession we experience today and the yearly seasonal low sales in summer and begin January. After all, members are committed to pay and they will happily do so as long as you deliver more value than you charge in fees.

To set up a great membership website, you’ll need to go through these ‘4 Pillars’:

1. Preparation
In the “preparation” stage you will make important decisions regarding your site: market selection, choosing a theme or topic, determining a delivery schedule.

2. Presentation.
In this stage you will structure the visual appearance of your sales process: domain registration, web site hosting, salesletter, providing access to your autoresponder, setting up a download page.

3. Production.
In here you will create your first article lesson to load to your autoresponder, and you will brainstorm ideas for future articles to send to members.

4. Promotion.
In the “promotion” stage you will begin getting the word out about your new membership site and attracting your initial subscribers, as well as developing an ongoing marketing presence to continually funnel in new subscribers.

This membership website that I’m building right now is not like traditional membership sites. Instead, it will be a “Fixed-Term Membership”.

I’ve learned that from a well know membership sites expert: Jimmy Brown.
You see, about a year ago I signed up for one of his newest membership sites, a fixed term one called Membernaire.

I’m almost finished with the course and I like it a lot. So much, that I want to endorse it to you (and receive a recurring commission from Jimmy doing so).

It’s far easier to set up a blog and write for it than it is to find readers for that blog.

There are hundreds of thousands of blogs who’s only reader is the blog writer – and that’s because most people who set up their blog have very little knowledge about search engine optimization strategies and other methods of finding blog readers.

For beginners or blogs which are not intended to make money – hiring an SEO company can be too expensive. Luckily, there are several methods of increasing your blog traffic that won’t cost you anything more than your time.

Update Your Blog Regularly
A key element to getting your blog indexed by the search engines (and otherwise increase your chances of people searching the internet stumbling across your site in their online journeys) is to provide new content for your blog on a regular basis.

Blogs are typically quicker to get indexed than a traditional website, because the search engines see a blog as providing regularly updated, fresh content.
Post at least twice a week to keep your site updated.

Participate in Blog Carnivals
Part of boosting your internet presence is to receive incoming links to your blog.
Links allow people to click on them and come to your site; and they also play a role in how a search engine determines where to put your site in the search listings when people are searching keywords related to your blog topic.

One method of increasing your blog’s incoming links is to participate in blog carnivals.
Carnivals are similar to an index or table of contents in a magazine or book in that they are a listing of blog articles all on a particular theme containing a link to the full text of each article on the blogger’s own website.
For every blog carnival you participate and get included in, you receive a link to your site.

When people reading the carnival post like the topic of your article, they’ll click the link to read it (therefore giving you a new blog reader); and if you participate on a weekly basis you’ll start to see your blog readership increase due to these new incoming links.

Make Use of Article Directories
Another way to increase incoming links to your site and gain new readers to your blog is to write content that can be published on article directories.

There are thousands of article directories online that allow writers to submit articles on any topic and include an author’s resource box, or byline, which includes a link back to your site.

Each time you publish an article on a directory, you get a new incoming link to your site – and since article directories exist to provide reprintable content for website owners, each time your articles are reprinted on another site you receive another incoming link to your blog.

The most effective way to use article directories is to write articles on topics similar to what you write about on your blog. That way, when people are browsing content to reprint, only sites that are on similar topics as your own will find your articles and want to reprint them.

You get your link on sites with related content (great for SEO) and also increases the chances that readers of the site reprinting your content will click on your link to learn more about you and what you write about.

So, you have a blog and you write in it but you have seen no results?

This is a common problem among millions of bloggers. Some people don’t mind though because they are not trying to make money from their blog. It is those that are trying to make money online that get frustrated. In order to make money from a blog you need traffic.

Here are some tips to get tons of traffic to your blog so you can make some online money.

1. Make a quality post to your blog every day.
Why would people keep visiting a blog if nothing ever changes and there is no new information on it? They wouldn’t.

2. Join in conversation on other blogs.
Leave useful comments and link back to your blog. Of course, do this in a category that is related to your blog.

3. Let your readers post comments on your posts.
Not only will this create more traffic but you will learn about your writing and what your readers are looking for. If you give your readers what they want they will keep coming back to your blog for a long time.

4. Find forums that are related to your blog topic.
Make a link in your signature file that points back to your blog. Give something away to people who visit your blog. This will make people more willing to click on your blog link.

5. Submit articles about your blog.
Article marketing is very effective. In the resource box of your article include a link back to your blog. The more articles you write the more traffic you will get.

The best thing you can do is have a plan.
For example, comment on 5 blogs per day. Write 10 articles per day. Participate and make 5 posts in forums each day. That should take you about 1-2 hours per day and will get you some very good traffic.

6. Capture email addresses.
Here is why this will get you more traffic. Once you have someones email address you can have pre written autoresponder messages loaded. Now that you have their information you can email them anytime you want.

I know that when I send an email to my list I get at least 500 clicks or more because people are interested in what I have to say. It doesn’t take long to start building a list and if you are not then you are missing out on huge traffic and money.

If you do nothing else then at least start building a list of subscribers. No matter what your niche is, it is very profitable to have a list of people who show an interested in what you are selling.
