My husband�s job transferred him to Orlando, so we recently had to move down here. It has definitely been an interesting move. Anytime we go anywhere, my kids see signs for Disney World and they beg to go. They say that it should be easy because it is just up the street. I guess they do not realize that it still costs money to go to the amusement park. I am sure that we will be able to take them at some point, but we have other things to worry about right now. I am still setting up our utilities. We had direct tv before and we wanted to have it again if it was available. I went online and searched �direct tv orlando florida� and thankfully it was available in our area. We were even able to get the exact same package we had before. My kids are so happy that we finally have tv again, and my husband is glad that he can watch all of the football games. Now that we are mostly settled, it might actually be fun to take the kids to Disney World. Maybe I�ll start planning a day to take them. It should be much easier now to take them, and maybe we won�t be as exhausted afterwards.

I finally did it! My first job away from home! I was starting to get down on myself since I have been looking for a new job for the past three years. I have been constantly employed since I graduated college but my goal has always been to move away from where I grew up. When I say move away, I am not just talking about down the road or even a couple hours away. When I say move away, I am talking about multiple states away. Let’s just say that my relationship with my family is less than stellar and for that very reason, I have absolutely no desire to be anywhere near them. So I finally saved up enough money and took the plunge of sending out applications to different areas that interested me. And wouldn’t you know it, after I opened up my options a little; I got a call back within twenty-four hours of turning in an application. A flight, an interview and a two week notice later, I’m finally moved. One thing that caught me off guard after moving to Texas was that I was able to shop around for my utilities. Thank goodness for the internet. A quick search for Texas Electric Providers in my area got me going and I can’t wait to start my new position.

So, it seems that Godaddy has taken sides in the SOPA battle and it looks like I might have to start moving my domain names away from the worlds largest registrar. I think SOPA is a really bad idea and anything that can hurt the future development and freedom of the internet must be stopped.

I don’t really understand the logic of a web company supporting something that is so bad for the web but it seems that folks over at Reddit are going to do something about all of this it appears. I caught wind of this just this morning but it seems the watchful eye of Reddit users caught on to this some time back and a big stink is being raised.

Reddit users have come out in force against SOPA and all companies that support the legislative effort to regulate the internet. I have about 400 domains with Godaddy and my clients have another 500 plus domains there. Now, before I authorize a $10,000 expenditure on moving our domains to a new registrar I will watch how things progress to see if Godaddy makes any changes or if they sit on thier position.

If Godaddy continues their support for SOPA then I will be forced to move our portfolio over to a new registrar for the first time in almost a decade now. What do you think? Are for or against SOPA? Do you think that transferring domains away will make a difference to GoDaddy?
