Heritage, Innovation, Imagination and Education

Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. David L. Goldfein talks about the importance of relationships built at Air University. The U.S. Air Force's pinnacle institution's professional military education programs educate Airmen to leverage air, space, and cyberspace power to achieve national security objectives. Specialized professional continuing educational programs provide scientific, technological, managerial, and other professional expertise to meet the needs of the Air Force. AU also conducts research on the evolving security environment; emerging threats; future uses for air, space, and cyberspace power; working in joint and coalition teams and multicultural environments; education; military leadership; management; and other topics that inform senior Air Force leaders and contribute to curriculum development. The university is engaged in community and public service, offering two citizenship programs: Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps and Civil Air Patrol–USAF.

Developing Strategic Leaders

Col. Scott Rizer, Air University's International Officer School director, talks about the importance of building partnerships and critical thinkers. IOS is the university's lead-up course to prepare all international officers for attending Air War College, Air Command and Staff College and Squadron Officer College. Since 1954, over 11,000 international military students from 143 countries have graduated from IOS preparatory courses.

Squadron Officer School

ACSC is the Air Force's intermediate level officer PME. Each year it has over 600 majors and major-equivalent civilians from the Air Force, other U.S. services, U.S. government agencies, and over 70 other nations.

Air Command and Staff College

Air Force's senior PME school for officers. Each year over 250 colonels and lieutenant colonels attend - from the Air Force and other U.S. military services, equivalent grade civilians from U.S. government agencies, as well as from 45 other nations.

Air War College

SAASS creates warrior-scholars who have a superior ability to solve complex problems; think critically; develop strategy and policy; and develop, evaluate, and employ airpower as a component of military force in support of national objectives.

School of Advanced Air and Space Studies

The eSchool brings the distance education programs of the Air War College, Air Command and Staff College, and Squadron Officer School together into a cohesive framework delivering the right education to the right person at the right time.

eSchool of Graduate PME

LeMay Center where Air Force doctrine is developed, advocated in exercises and wargames, represented in Joint and Multinational doctrine, and deployed to Airmen through a multifaceted outreach program.
