I'm glad you're back, Myke. I like these new stories, and I found your reasoning about changing names and such to be quite convincing. I think you are better than ever (new mic?). It can't have been that long ago when I listened to whatever book you were podcasting at the time, but it's been too long. It was so good to find that episode in my podcatcher (from a Huffduffer feed belonging to Julie D of Forgotten Classics, and now your Facebook wall). Since I have a blog myself these days, I was able to share links in a post. (You might see the link in the stats. )

It's a bit embarassing that it took me so long to find you, but on the up-side, I had lots of eposodes to listen to, and it was a great immersive experience.

It could be that my background is noisy as well, because I truly haven't noticed any annoying noises in the background of the podcast.

All the comments I want to make about the Nero story are spoilers, so I won't make them.

My first thought when I got to this website and saw the great new banner was, "new mugs!" I don't see that design in the shop but I'm not complaining. I still have my old one.

I've had to rejiggle the feeds a little to ensure no-one misses out on the new Salmon and Dusk. If you're using either of the old feeds for S & D, you might now find yourself missing out on After Dusk.

Where the hell have I been?

Now, there's a question.

The short answer is I seriously underestimated my recent workload.

A more extended answer would detail the death of my PC - taking After Dusk 3 with it - and the subsequent death of my iBook, taking what was stupidly my only copy of the next Salmon and Dusk story. Whichever celestial entity looks after technology must be seriously displeased with me.

Honestly, it's all been rather depressing. But, you know, these things happen. To me. A lot.

The good news is that I'm a fair way into a replacement Salmon and Dusk tale (can't quite bring myself to rewrite the lost story just yet) and I only have three weeks left of my journalism course. After that, it's all unemployment and roses. (Apart from a three week newspaper internship.)

So, I'm hoping the new Salmon and Dusk story will be with us by the end of the month. After that, we'll be seeing a bit more of Kilbey and co.

In the meantime, I'll do a better job of keeping in touch.

Im guessing After Dusk is on the first so thats the new official one?

is the other one(/kilbeysalmon) staying up as a legacy feed or is it being taken down?

Delays and Illnesses

The good news is that After Dusk 3 is recorded and just needs to be mixed and uploaded.

The bad news is that both myself and my computer have been ill this week. The computer is on the mend, but still missing a bit of crucial software, while I am lying around the house feeling sorry for myself. Which is quite fun, actually.

I'm hoping we'll see After Dusk 3 toward the end of this week.
