Holla!! Its another Disney Princess Inspired Makeup Look!!

I know it has been a while since my last Disney Inspired look... I guess I took an unexpected (month long) break from it. But Ive had the last two looks in mind for a while and I am glad to finally bring you a new Disney look, Inspired by Esmeralda! I know she is not technically considered a Disney Princess, But I HAD to include her. I mean she is the closet Disney character that I resemble.... SO duh, she had to be in this series! (Next up, wrapping up this series, will be Mulan.)

Ok, so I must admit that I have not yet seen The Hunchback of Notre Dame! I think I may have seen part of the beginning of it when I was a kid. But now I really want to see it. I never gave that movie much thought until I started looking for pictures of her to use as inspiration for this look. Once I saw her and realized me was my Disney "look-a-like" I was like WHOA. Must. Watch. Movie. Dark skin, Long black wavy hair, green eyes... I could totally be her!! Right!? (Don't be a dream crusher now, just nod your head in agreement with me. K, thanks!)

Yes. Yes I do think about which Disney Princess I could be. I WISH I could work at Disney Land as a Princess or character. Yes I've been bummed because there weren't any Mexican or olive skinned princesses, that I could be/dress up as! BUT now I have found my girl! I'll now be Esmeralda. YAY.

The colors I used for this look are:

Anarchy - Purple, used on lid.

Turquoise - used on crease and lower lashes.

Aged Gold - used as eyeliner on top lash line

I used wetliner foiling serum to make this a liquid liner, doesn't it look amazing!

French Vanilla - Shimmery cream color. Used as high lighter on brow bone and inner corners.

Now, lets talk about this Gold Eye Liner. Isn't it just fabulous!? This is why I just love MBA's Wetliner Foiling Serum. It turns any (loose) mineral eye shadow (or pigments) into liquid liner!! Its very simple to use, and the results are stunning, as you can see. If anyone is interested, I can do a little keek video to show you how its done! ♥

Afforably Obsessed

I mentioned on instagram the other day that I am sort of obsessed with these (under) $4 tanks from Walmart. I have 4 of them, and am wanting to go back and get a couple more. They are just so cute and so comfy, and at the affordable price of $3.88, who could blame me!? ;) You can dress them up, wear them casual or even wear them to lounge around the house (which I do often! haha)

Here is a sort of dress-casual outfit I wore the other day with one of the tanks.

What I'm Wearing:

And I was just trying on this skirt, that I borrowed from my sister. Its supposed to be worn on the waist, but It was a little snug for me there. SO I hiked it up to my bust line and it made such a cute "dress-like" outfit, with one of my other tanks from Walmart.

Since writing this (written Monday Night) I went back and saw they had a few more NEW colors/patterns.

Soo I gave in a bought 4 more. LOL

Nude'Tude Palette & My Beauty Addiction EOTD

Hello hello, sweet friends! So I know that a lot of my looks and EOTD's consist of mostly if not ALL My Beauty Addiction products. And really that's just because I love their products so much, they really are mostly all I wear! However, being that I AM a MBA promoter, I didn't want you all to think I only wear them because I "have" to, that's definitely not the case.

Still I'm going to make an effort to shake things up and use more of a variety of products for you all to see. Of course I will still have some that are exclusively MBA products, because I do have a minimum amount of looks that I do need to create with their prodicts, as a promoter. So I hope you all dont mind. Just know that I am truly such a HUGE fan of My Beauty Addiction, and their products. I wouldn't want to be a promoter if I wasn't! So for today's EOTD I am using The Balm's Nude'Tude Palette (Which I purchased via HauteLook* for 50% off), as well as My Beauty Addiction shadows and Glitter!

On Getting Comfortable And Uncomfortable

I've been getting quite a few requests and questions about my weight loss journey. I knew it was going to take some time and a lot of courage to write this post... But I've finally made time in my hectic life to write out this post. In fact, I'm writing this in my bloggy journal, on a bus - coming home from a field trip with my daughter. Because its a 2 hour ride and this may be my only chance to get some "down time" where I'm not "mommy'd" a million times and can think while writing out my thoughts!

Anyways, the thing about my weight loss journey is that it has come to sort of a halt. Not intentionally, but ever since my last post about maintaining - that's all I've really been doing. And though there isn't anything wrong with that, the thing is that I haven't stopped trying! I've just gotten comfortable. So giving my all to this has been put to the "back burner". With the busy schedule my family now has - I've barely had time to go to the gym. I'm sure I could fit it in if I tried harder, but I've been so tired, that I'd just rather relax.

Before, I pushed myself no matter what! I didn't let myself "just relax". Now I've been a little less hard on myself. Why? Because, again, I've gotten comfortable. I can look at myself and am happy with what I see (with clothes on), and the weight I have lost so far. I still get compliments on my weight loss and how great I look. Most people are extra kind and tell me they've "always thought I looked beautiful, but can tell how confident/happy I am now and what a difference that makes as well".

People have asked about my weight loss and always when I say I'm still striving for 30 more pounds they seem shocked! They tell me "no, I dont think you need to lose any more weight!" or they ask me "why" like I must be crazy. haha And its wonderful to have those compliments. BUT its those amazing comments/concerns/compliments that I have helped me get too comfortable with where I am at.

Again, there isn't anything wrong with comfortable its a great thing to feel about ones self or body! And its not like Ive "let myself go" again. I've started eating more "regular" foods, and a couple other things I had limited myself on before, BUT I'm still eating healthier, AND being sure to still exercise here and there... It's just not enough to lose more weight, just enough to maintain.

Though lately, since I'm being honest, I will admit that my weight has been fluctuating. Going up 2 pounds, down 3, up 5, down 4. Which sort of worries me, and is a sign I need to be more careful. Weight tends to just creep up on you little by little. You think oh whats one pound gained here or there, and next thing you know its a couple years later and you're 70, 80, 100 pounds heavier! I dont want that to be me again! I cant let that me be again! I cant just be OK being comfortable.

So there is the "comfortable" part of this post. Now for the "uncomfortable" part... Because ladies, I dont want to be just comfortable anymore. I dont want to look great just with clothes ON. I stated in one of my first weight loss posts - "I want to look (and feel) good naked!" And right now, I DON'T! I am NOT comfortable naked. I still have that jiggle in my belly and arms and I ~~want to~~ WILL get rid of it! So for the sake of making myself uncomfortable again.. To push and motivate myself again and to answer the question "why 30 more pounds?" I'm posting these belly/body photos. They are embarrassing, but raw and real. I may look good with clothes on, but this is still the me underneath. And I'm not happy with it. Yes its better than it was, A LOT better. But I'm not done with this journey.

I hope you all will be kind. Putting these pictures up is something that is hard for me. But something I believe I needed to do to keep myself accountable, and push myself to keep at it and not give up.

I thank many of your for asking questions about my weight loss, asking for updates and really keeping me accountable. So THANK YOU. Because now I am "uncomfortable" and ready to push myself again. Ready to change this body from flab to fab! You just wait and see. And keep on keeping me accountable! :)

Ok and here are some answers to a couple other questions I've gotten:

Q: Can you post healthy recipe's or post more about what you eat?

A: Oh boy - honestly - I suck at food... Love to eat it, hate to make it. I am very un-creative when it comes to cooking. I DO have one recipe (here). And If I try I can maybe post a few more healthy recipe's on the blog... Or offer a guest post spot to someone with some? If any of you like to cook and have a few healthy or low-carb or low-cal recipes shoot me an email! Other than that, if you want to know/see what I eat every day, follow me on My Fitness Pal. I keep my food diary public so you can see exactly what I eat and how much. I was slacking for a while before, but I'm back at it again.... Accountability people!?

Q: What exercise do you do?

A: Mostly I go to the gym. When I am there I stick to the elliptical or bike because they burn the most calories. When The Hubs is with me he helps me with the free weights, when I am by myself I do weight machines!

But recently in an effort to change up my exercise routine Ive started Zumba! I'm trying to go 3 times a week! Zumba is intense and awkward but so so much fun! I felt like a fool, but enjoyed it and laughed the whole time too, while sweating my butt off! Plus I was crazy sore the next few days after doing Zumba - which I love. It means I've gotten a great work out. The other "plus" of Zumba is that maybe it will help my awkward uncoordinated self learn to dance or something like that! ;)

Here is a peek at just a few of the beads I received. The variety is wonderful, and the quality is top notch. You cant help but think of all the beautiful jewelry and items you could make when looking at these beads, am I right?!

I was very impressed with how well the beads come packaged. They arrived nice and secure, stored in a plastic container, with styrofoam padding.

Its easy to think up all kinds of jewelry ideas with these beads. I personally plan on making a couple of bracelets out of my beads soon, but I also whipped up a pretty little "tassel" style necklace for myself using just one of the beads and some chain. Simple but beautiful. My favorite are the beads with the hearts on them! ♥

The prices are pretty great, considering the quality and handmade nature of these stunning beads. Ranging from $14-$33 (was the highest I saw) for 25-50 beads, depending on the type of bead, or $60 for the pack of mixed beads like I received.

The Skinny On Getting Thicker Brows

Hello, hello my friends! Happy {Makeup} Monday to you. ♥

Ladies, I am just THRILLED today to share this review with you! I was sent some products c/o Billion Dollar Brows and I can only say that the results are amazing! Of course you dont have to just take my word for it, you can see for yourself in the before & after photos below. At first I didn't think my brows were getting thicker or growing at all, until I finally checked out the before photos myself, and WOW - what a difference!

Before we move on to "The Skinny On Getting Thicker Brows", I just wanted to leave you with a little info...

In the "before" shot of the Before & After photo above, I'm wearing Radiant Cosmetics Eye Shadow in 'Confection', on my lashes I'm wearing Define-A-Lash mascara (my favorite) and I'm using my "Secret to Longer Lashes" technique!

To say this collection is amazing, is an understatement! Seriously. I love these colors so much and they are perfect to create gorgeous looks to wear for Spring into Summer! Its hard to capture just how vibrant and sparkly these colors are in real life, so you will just have to trust me. ♥ Yes they are even more so than in these photos!

The colors go so well together, whether you use all the colors (like I did for this look) or a combo of two or three of them. They are stunning. And guaranteed to get you compliments from everyone who see's you wearing them.

Everywhere I went the day I wore this look, people were admiring and complimenting my makeup. ♥ Even The Hubs took notice. And you all know full well that when The Hubs notices something new or different, its a big deal and I must mention it here. Because he is pretty clueless about this makeup stuff. So if it catches his eye, you know its good.

He made me smile because he actually said "I like your eye makeup today, it looks very tropical." Which was exactly what I was going for with this Tropical Collection... To create a "Tropical Sunrise" type of look. I love it when he actually "GETS" my looks. ♥

This week is Challenge week, and its one I think you will all enjoy!

The Challenge is to get 'PINspired' - Recreate a look, Mani/Pedi, or hair style that you found on or pinned to Pinterest! I love this challenge because we often pin so much, but how often do we actually do or recreate what we pin? I do every so often, but not as much as I would like. So we challenge ourselves and YOU to Get Pinspired and CREATE!! ♥

Ok so MY look was inspired by THIS Pin, that reminded me of a Peacock! Ive been wanting to try a peacock inspired look for a while. So this was the perfect look to recreate.

For this look I used My Beauty Addiction Mineral Eye Shadows in:

They are AMAZING. I'm now obsessed with this glitter for my eyes! Its sort of hard to capture just how great they look on the eye, but you can sort of get any idea from the up-close photo above ^. As I mentioned before I used the Twinkle Dust in Gold, and added it over the brown and purple eye shadows I used. Isn't it gorgeous!?

Insta-Fashion #2

I haven't had time to take any great outfit photos this week, even though I feel like I have been dressing really cute! ;) But with our busy schedule, I just haven't had the time... Which is why I have hardly done any makeup looks either!! So I since I do seem to take quite a bit of outfit selfies for Instagram, I figured I would share my insta-fashion photos today. SO... You may already know, but I LOVE Ross. Its like my all time favorite store. It has everything, and the prices are amazing. So I shop there a lot. And anytime we do a sisters day/night out, we ALWAYS make a trip to Ross. ♥

Floral Mani

Its not often that I get the extra time to do my nails all pretty, but I finally had some spare time (and patience) to try my hand at a fun floral mani, that I've been really wanting to do. Floral mani's in pretty pastel colors are perfect for Spring!

For this mani I used e.l.f. nail polishes in 'Pearl', 'Passhion Pink', Pure Ice nail polish in 'Home Run', and then e.l.f. glitter polish in 'Fairy Dust'. And I just love Fairy Dust, is so subtle and gorgeous!

To help me make the floral pattern I used e.l.f.'s angled eyeliner brush! Its the perfect size to paint with and the angled tip also makes it easy to use as a nail polish brush.

Fitness 101: Get BIKINI ready by June!

Do you keep staring at your favorite bikini every time you go out shopping?

Why not find a reason to buy it plus more new items for your new sexy body?

I am here today to share some tips that should help you get your body bikini ready for this summer!

1) Ditch the soda and start drinking water! Studies have proven that individuals that drink more carbonated or sugary beverages will gain weight or have troubles losing the unwanted weight you currently have. Drinking water will help flush your system as well as keep your body properly hydrated. I would suggest starting with 2 Liters and start working your way up to about a gallon of water a day. YES I SAID A GALLON!

2) Ditch the fast food! Take a stand NOW to start cooking your meals and try not to “grab something that is easy”. Cooking your own meals allows you to see exactly what you are putting in your body. And, it also allows you the chance to plan your meals and possible SAVE money! Try having 5 small meals a day. Start with breakfast and have a meal every 3 hours. Each meal should be around 400 calories. You should have a good source of protein (like chicken or fish and for breakfast things like egg whites or whole eggs), a nice serving of veggies, and one good carbohydrate source (like brown rice, whole grain bread, sweet potatoes).

3) WORK OUT!!! Yes get up and get active! You want to try to work out 5 days a week. Try NOT to take more than two days off in a row. You should spend 30-45 minutes of cardio and getting your heart rate up. And you also need a good strength training program. YES LADIES YOU NEED TO LIFT WEIGHTS! No you will not get big and bulky. Strength training will allow you to build your muscles and start to get more tone.

4) HAVE A PLAN! Ladies you should plan out your meals, workouts, trips to the store, and anything else! If you FAIL TO PLAN you PLAN TO FAIL. If you plan these things out you will be prepared and ready for your meals and workouts during the week. This will allow you the change to not make excuses when you are running late or need to find food to eat. Keep a journal so you are able to keep track of what all is going on. You want to be able to visually keep track of what is going on.

5) Find and keep your own motivation. You have to find something that keeps you motivated. It can be images, quotes, bible verses, or anything! You have to keep things so that you can keep yourself motivated on the days you do not feel motivated. Sometimes you need someone to keep you motivated or someone to help hold you accountable for your actions. This can be a friend, co-worker, or family member There are all very important tools that you can use to help you get ready for the summer. There are no magic pills or crash diets that can help you. Try to eat fresh whole foods (stay away from processed foods) and drink plenty of water. You want to cut back on drinking alcohol and increase your activity levels. You do not have to belong to a gym to get a good workout. You can find many workouts online that you can do at home!
