Join AGC and The Family Business Institute for a free webinar and learn how you can better your business and life through lessons learned from a case study done by the Harvard Business Review.

FREE WEBINAR

In the April 2009 Issue, Harvard Business Review (HBR) asked the question, "Who can help the CEO?" The case study dealt with a busy executive who was faced with a number of pressing business challenges. Two of the three HBR experts recommended CEO peer groups. Since other construction company CEOs either have experienced or will experience the same real world problems you do, it makes for a perfect sharing and advice group.

In this hour long webinar, gain insight from other CEOs on:

Business Development - from hiring the right people to setting and achieving goals
Marketing Planning - a subset of your overall business plan and what works best for the construction market
Supporting Business Development and Marketing - what else should be top priorities in a tough market.

The first and only standard agreement designed specifically for use between a subcontractor and a subsubcontractor.
ConsensusDOCS 725 includes provisions that are well suited to the somewhat simpler relationships that subcontractors typically share with subsubcontractors:

Six-page agreement that excludes unnecessary provisions
Similar terms to upstream agreements on important items such as timing of payment
Flexible provisions for the incorporation of Exhibits and other documents

Member ConsensusDOCS Endorsing Organization: $99
Non-Member: $229

In today's competitive climate and uncertain economy the role of the construction supervisor in project costs is more important than ever. STP Unit 6: Understanding and Managing Project Costs was revised with this in mind, providing early-career construction supervisors with the essential knowledge to manage costs on their projects.

The fifth edition of Unit 6 will officially be released in October 2009, however we are providing a special pilot of this course complementary for 30 individuals in Houston, Texas. This two day course will be held on Monday, August 10 and Tuesday, August 11 from 7:30 AM-5:00 PM on both days at the Houston Chapter-AGC. Participants will be asked to provide detailed feedback on the course materials at the close of the program.

AGC's acclaimed Supervisory Training Program has been providing essential skills to construction supervisors for the last 33 years. Developed, updated and field tested by and for contractors, STP teaches the skills that are crucial to a project's success and provides the information every foreman and supervisor must know to make decisions quickly, confidently, and effectively in the field.
