In this role, you will be responsible for the coordination of ACFI documentation and resident assessments from resident admission and thereafter. We are looking for an RN with excellent ACFI knowledge, a strong understanding of care planning and the ability to link clinical care needs of residents to ACFI documentation and financial entitlements.

THE ROLE We are looking for passionate and flexible home care workers to provide support to our aged clients to remain in their homes living active and independent lives. The main purpose of the position is to work within a person-centered approach, which acknowledges that the older person and their family are the best authorities on what type of help will make a difference to their lives.

You will support and assist our clients with a wide range of daily living activities including, but not limited to:

- Personal care (showering and dressing)
- Cleaning/domestic assistance
- Meal preparation
- Respite (including recreational activities)
- Shopping
- Transporting to/from appointments and day programs
- Laundry
- Banking/bill paying

This is a community-based position, so the successful candidate will be required to travel to people’s homes and provide one-on-one assistance. The successful candidate will have the ability and willingness to work in a home environment. We have a number of different shifts on offer Monday to Friday between 8am to 5pm, so it is important that you provide us with your availability to ensure we can meet the needs of our clients as well as your personal needs. We welcome applicants who are able to work during school hours and/or who would like to work casually 3-5 days a week.

YOU WILL HAVE

- A can-do attitude
- Knowledge and understanding of the needs of aged clients and their carers
- Desire to support older people with daily living activities
- Knowledge of person-centred approach to client care
- Experience in the aged sector or related work (personal experience counted)
- Current driver’s licence
- Own car for work purposes
- Comprehensive car insurance (or willingness to obtain)
- First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Smart phone and internet access

DESIRABLE CRITERIA

It is desirable, but not essential that you have:

- Experience working in aged care
- Certificate III in Aged Care, Home & Community Care or equivalent qualification
- Senior First Aid Certificate
- Knowledge, sensitivity and an understanding of Jewish values, heritage and culture
