Entrance to East Bank

A series of photos taken over the course of several years.  The images are taken with a heavy tripod typically very late at night, and are longer exposures.  Many of the photos were taken for the NWBCA “Creativity Fuels a City” event.

Stephanie models an elegant dress from Urchin Re.Design

Sonia, a dear friend of ours, makes the most stunning dresses and bridal gowns for her company Urchin Re.Design in Portland, Oregon.  Her look is very Portland.  She re-designs dresses from salvaged heirlooms, which also makes for very sustainable and environmentally friendly haute couture.  Sonia is an established artist (you can see her work at Butter’s Gallery) and as an apparel designer, she lends her same organic approach to creating the amazing, touchable and exquisite designs.

You can find her dresses at Flutter, Xtabay and of course she’s open to commissioning custom dresses for your event.

Sample cake from Erin at Sugarhouse Cake

I ran into a extraordinary designer colleague I used to work with and was delighted to hear she has completely changed careers and went to a culinary school several years ago to chase her dream of creating beautifully designed cakes, which she’s been doing for some time now.  If you’re in need of a gorgeous wedding cake in Portland, Oregon, I can’t recommend anyone more than Sugarhouse Cake.  Her samples are delicious and she has the no-nonsense attitude to deliver the best.
