You rent in a space on you blog to a advertiser so that he can put in his banner on you blog for some monthly fees. Now your next work is to make a special page for AD Selling. Write in the detailed process by which a advertisers can buy AD Space on your Blog. Your next work is to decide the price. If your blog does not have strong stats or if you are new start with low rate. The rate will also depend on what niche you are in. Google Adsense is the primary monetization technique used by Google. Previously Google Adsense only existed with Google search but then Google expanded it and allowed Webmasters and Blog Publisher to apply for the Adsense Program. Goggle Adsense is revenue sharing program, in which a Website or Blog owner gets paid for displaying Google ADs on his or her Website or Blog. It is still a mystery how much Google share with publishers but the earning from Google Adsense can be very good.

Google pays publishers when a Google AD is clicked on a his or her site. Google ADs are CPC (Cost Per Click) ADs. Google also pays some share to good publishers with good high traffic based on CPM (Cost Per Million/Thousand Impressions) AD rates. Google Adsense can be a real earner if you use it properly.

WHAT YOU NEED

To be able to monetize your Blog with Adsense you need the following basic things.

• A Good Website or Blog with some good unique content. It will better if the content is SEO Optimized. And your blog or site should not contain any content not accepted by Google.
• Google Adsense Account. If you do not have one then go to Google Adsense site and apply for one.
• A Google Adsense optimized theme. The theme need to have more white space, less glitters etc. In other words theme need to be simple. You can find many Adsense Theme by searching on Google.
• Good Search Engine Traffic. People who come though search engines are more likely to click on ADs thus it better if you already have good traffic from Search Engines.

If all the above points favors you then Adsense is for you. You will be able to make good earning with Adsense.

WHAT NEXT

First you just need to create a Google Adsense AD though your Adsense account and then paste the codes you get in your Blog to see how it looks. Now just pasting the codes will not earn you money. Your next step is to recognize the heat zones for your ADs. These are the places on your Blog where ADs get more visibility and are more likely to be clicked. You will need to experiment different spots with different AD Format to get the best.

Now you can do it the hard way by experimenting (which will give you better results) or just follow some basic practices which which will ease of you work. Adsense has been on Internet for years and many have found out some basic tips to follow.  Large Rectangle (336 x 280) Format have been the most effective AD Format for many publishers but it may vary from website to website. If you have space to put a Large Rectangle AD on your blog then use it. If not then use smaller AD Formats like 250X250 etc.

The best place to put Adsense ADs is as high as possible on your blog. It is best if the Adsense AD is at the top of the page. Now for most bloggers putting AD at the top is not good. For earning from Google Adsense you will need targeted traffic who are interested in specific topics. Best targeted traffic comes form Search Engines. Thus it is important to have good amount of Search Engine Traffic as I told you before. You will need to do Good Search Engine Marketing.

PRECAUTIONS

Google Adsense is hassle free form of Blog Monetization but you need to be cautious as well. Google has put in some restrictions which you need to be aware of like you cannot click Adsense AD on your Blog. Also there is a limit to the no. of ADs you can use on one page. Your content need to be of Google’s Likings too and also need to follow their WebMaster tips.

While Off Site SEO means getting recognition from other websites or blogs in form of incoming links and natural mentions inside content of those sites. For best possible reasons both On Site and Off Site SEO needs to be done.

Mostly Google is given great importance when people think of getting ranked on Search Engines because of the higher market share it has on Internet. Yahoo and Bing have low market share but surely cannot be ignored. When you want to get ranked on Search Engines, you need to try your best to rank not only in Google but Yahoo and Bing too.

TRADITIONAL USE

Search Engines has been on Internet for pretty long time. Google for example has been here for more than 10 yrs. So SEO has been opted by most webmaster and bloggers. I say most because there are still many who own blogs or websites but do not know what SEO is. At the start the ranking systems were completely different then now and if you compare the system with current system you would never rank unless you know the loop hole. From what I have heard Amazon.Com become famous because of flaws in Search Engine Ranking System. Those days sites were ranked by alphabetical order.

Anyways most of flaws were were countered ASAP and some guidelines were provided to webmasters. Google for example has provided every time with some guidelines which seems to be followed by most other search engines as well. Whiles doing SEO people mostly focus on Keywords and Building Links to the site. These two were considered most important factor to rank in Search Engines. Now lets see what evolutions has taken place.

CURRENT EVOLUTION

There always has been constant changes in Search Engine Ranking Systems as some loop holes were found by many Search Engine Enthusiastic in no time and then they were exploited by many. The loop holes are been found so regularly than Google now almost changes its ranking system 2-3 (may be more) a year. Though most may not see any change in rankings but some see drastic changes due to these.

Search Engines also discarded the use of Keyword Meta Tags some time ago as it was been heavily exploited. You can still use them but Google says it doesn’t affect at all. Also the bots are becoming quite intelligent and able to aid better to ranking system. The importance of SEO has given birth to many SEO and SEM companies. If you are not able to do SEO yourself, then you always have option to outsource.

INNOVATIVE USES

People are innovative when it comes to SEO. They are always ready to do new stuff. Most of stuffs I am about to share in this innovative section will not be something new. I do not like experimenting with SEO, so have not come up with any innovative idea. However the methods or steps which I am going to tell you are very important. Some are main stream and some are innovation of other.

ON SITE SEO

1. The best way of On Site SEO is to write Good Content. Good content is something which appeal to real human beings as well as bot. You need to use Keywords Intelligently inside you article. No overuse of keywords.
2. From inside you articles link to some article on other blogs or sites which are related to your topic. It works best when you put the link in the article and not after the article as many people tend to do. Also use your targeted keyword to link to those articles for better results.
3. Use the Title and Description Meta Tags properly. Optimize the Title so that it contains your main keyword. Also modify the description to incorporate the keyword in a natural way.
4. It is also advisable to keep your post or page URLs as short as possible. Somehow Google seems to like shorter URLs. You chances of ranking increases.
5. While using images in your article, SEO it as well. Put a Title Tag as well as ALT tag for the image and use your Keyword in the Tags.
6. All WordPress Users must install All in One SEO Pack or any similar SEO Plug-ins to ease up your SEO work. Also install SEO Friendly Images or similar plug-ins which fully automates SEO of Images.
7. Follow Google Webmasters Guidelines. If you do one mistake and get caught you will be penalized. Even John Chow was not spared. He was penalized for selling text links (he was cocky about it too).

OFF SITE SEO

1. Off Site SEO is all about building Incoming Links or Back Links to you own site or Blog. So build as many back links as possible.
2. One Way Back links are considered the best for good ranking in Search Engines followed by other types of linkings. You approach should be to build mostly one way back links.
3. Build Link Wheels if you have got time. Now a days link wheels are considered new innovation in link building technique. If you have not got time you can outsource it. Many service are available for Link Wheel building.
4. When building links try your best to get links from site related to yours. Also make sure proper keyword is used to link to your blog or site.
5. Consider bookmarking site submissions. Though most bookmarking sites are No Follow but you can find many which are Do Follow and will help you in ranking. Bookmarking is also part of Social Marketing.
6. One of the easiest way to build link is to comment on other related blogs. You can easily find many Do Follow blogs. But when commenting on blog do not think about No Follow stuffs as Comment Marketing is necessary too.
7. The best types of links can be build by Guest Posting on related sites or blogs. Try to Guest Post on high PR blogs. As Guest Poster gets to link to his/her blog you can use this opportunity to properly target your keyword. Also it is good Article Marketing.

SEO is neither a easy job nor is it too difficult. It just needs proper understanding of the subject. The only thing you can do is follow all the above steps and hope that Search Engines like it enough to rank it. Hope the steps mentioned above help you in your SEO adventure.

GENERAL INTRODUCTION

Social Media Marketing can be roughly divided into three forms – Social Networking, Social Media and Social Bookmarking. Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, Hi5, Orkut etc are few examples of Social Networks. StumbleUpon, Digg, Mixx, Delicious, Blog Engage etc are Social Bookmarking Sites. Sites like YouTube, Flickr, Viddler etc are Social Media sites.

Social Networks are primarily for making new friends on Internet, keeping contacts with your old friends and telling the world what you are doing now. You can even share photos, videos and links with friends. On the other hand Social Bookmarking Sites are a place where you store or bookmark your favorite photos, videos and web pages and even share them in public. As both Social Networks and Bookmarking Sites provide a means to share links or websites you can easily use it to market your blog to both your friends and unknown people on Internet. Social Media Sites are sites where you either share Videos (as on YouTube) or share Photos (as on Flickr). They are a little indirect form of Blog Marketing.

SIMPLE ANALYSIS

Note: The above analysis is in general. The result of analysis may differ for each Social Networks or Social Bookmarking Sites or Social Media.

TRADITIONAL USE

Social Bookmarking has been used for quite a while now. When Digg and Stumble Upon made their way into Internet, they became a great sensation. Marketers were trying their best to be on the front page of Digg and wanted as many Stumbles as they can. Now there are many Social Bookmarking Sites making it easier for marketers to market  their sites at as many places they want. The simple idea is to share your own blog pages on these Bookmarking sites (of course you need to have a account with them). However you must check there guidelines, as many of the Bookmarking sites do not allow submission of own websites.

Social Networks consists mostly of friends. As you have a option to share a link, you just share it in your updates. As par as I know there are no restrictions on the links or photos or videos you can share (of course except the content on restricted topic, which you already know).

Social Media Marketing is quite new and only a handful people are utilizing it. So we will discuss further about it innovative uses.

CURRENT EVOLUTION

The efficiency and effectiveness of Social Bookmarking Sites has decreased a little. The craze of Digg and Stumble Upon has cooled down a little but they are still quite effective. Also as many more Bookmarking sites have emerged, the opportunity has increased. Also there are few Software and Plug-ins available on Internet which can automatically submit your blog post page or any other page to you Bookmarking Sites. Few examples are Bookmarking Demon, Only Wire (a WordPress Plug-in).

The use of Social Networks for Marketing is relatively new and is gaining popularity because of its high effectiveness. When you share links with friends on Facebook or MySpace they are likely to click on in. In case of Twitter link shared are likely to be re tweeted and clicked. The future of Social Networks looks quite bright as more and people are pouring into it. It probably won’t get saturated any time sooner.

The only thing that can be said about evolution of Social Media Marketing is turning entertainment into Marketing. It is not a new concept in day to day life but a little newer to Internet.

INNOVATIVE USES

Now lets move to all the innovative ideas I have thought in my mind.

Social Bookmarking Site

• Rename the tile of the Post while Submitting to bookmarking sites. Add words like Awesome, WTF (do not use it more often), OMG, Amazing, Must See etc before the title. This help in increase in conversion rate.
• Use proper tags. Do not just add too many tags. Use tags relevant to the topic you have submitted.
• If there is a feature to send your bookmark to your friends or networks then use it. But please do it once in a while.

Social Networking Sites

• Create a Fan Page on Facebook for your Blog and invite your friends to join in. You will not see any result at first but eventually you will. It will not directly give you traffic but market your brand and make it more recognizable.
• When sharing links on Facebook etc give a little detail or write a line about the link. Tell your friend why they will want to click it.
• On Twitter while sharing links use words like WTF, OMG, Must See, Must Watch, Amazing etc. This creates attention to your tweet. People (surprisingly everyone) somehow love those words.
• On Twitter share interesting Quotes, Photos and Videos. This keeps your profile fresh and your profile is not regarded as a junk.
• Sometimes give at reply to people whose tweets you like. It will build good relationship plus is a good time pass. You can say for example “ @AgentDeepak – Nice article on Marketing. Can you tell me how to create a Fan Page on Facebook.”

Social Media Sites

• First of all use them. No seriously use them (this line is for me too). If you have videos (which you can share) then upload them to YouTube and other sites. If you have photos (again which you can share) then upload them to Flickr etc. You can upload any video and it doesn’t have to be related to your blog. After uploading put a link to you blog in description and tell people you have a blog and if they like the video they can return favor by visiting your blog. If possible do similar things with Photo sharing sites.

Today’s innovative section of the post didn’t sounded much innovative (at least to me) but I think these tips if followed will greatly help in Social Marketing. Article Marketing in general is the method of having your article published or posted any where  (any site or blog or media) except your own. There two major known forms of article marketing – Article Submission and Blog Guest Posting. They are almost the same thing and only differ in the way the are used and the place where they get published. Most Blogger do consider Guest Posting but tend to forget Article Submissions. They are equally important and have their own advantages and disadvantages. They almost complement each other thus if you use both the technique you will get better results. And you marketing will be effective and efficient.

TRADITIONAL USE

Article Marketing is nothing very new and has been very much used in past. Article Submission has been long used by many Internet Marketer. In traditional ways you write a article which is related to your site and then submit to many of the article directories on Internet. If you are able to write down good article, they will easily get accepted and published. Most article directories allow use of author Bio at the bottom of the article. Thus opening a door for Marketing your own site. You give a link to your blog in the author Bio and if someone like your article he will surely visit your Blog.

In case of Guest Posting we almost do similar things. Write and article, send it to bloggers who allow Guest Posts. Give them a nice author Bio and your article is ready to be read by readers who are quite ready for it. The effectiveness of guest posting is very high. Also you get to build got relationship with the Blog owner which may be useful in future.

CURRENT EVOLUTION

As par today Article Marketing has become one of the best marketing tools for Internet Marketers but it has not been very popular with Bloggers. The probable reason might be that we bloggers need to provide quality content on our own blogs, so we find very less time to write articles for submission or to guest post. 

However from the current trend, I can see is that the benefits of Guest Post is been utilized by bloggers. Also few successful bloggers are not only inspiring other bloggers to Guest Post but also holding contests. You can see some Guest Post contests on My Blog 2 Day and Famous Blogger.

Also in recent years some very powerful article submission tools have come into existence. These tools ease of the work of submission of article to different article directories. This helps to devote more time into writing article. Also as these tools are very easily available, you will not like to loose the marketing battle by not using them. But you must remember one thing, using these tools may not be the most ethical thing to do and you may get banned from article directories if you over use.

INNOVATIVE USES

Now Article Marketing is a very plain and simple marketing method. When we try to talk about innovative uses, we are almost at disadvantage. I didn’t wanted to disappoint you all but thats the truth. But there are still few ways to make your article marketing better. You can do some enhancement for better results. Though the points or tips below may not be much innovative but would help.

• Write nice articles. Write a well structured article. It may take time but if a article is visually appealing it doubles the quality of post you have written. It shows how dedicated you are and results in better conversion rate. You can also spice up your articles with some nice photos or pictures.
• Promote your Guest Posts and Article Submissions on you own blog. If you are doing it regularly, then once in a month, write a post mentioning all the guest posts and submissions you have made. Ask you readers to go and read them. This helps to strengthen your relationship with your own readers.
• Promote your Guest Posts and Article Submissions on Social Media. Bookmark them on social networking site. Make tweets which attract people to read the posts and article. This ia a indirect way of marketing. It filters out the junk visitor who may not be interested in the topic you write. Also ensures that you get interested readers.
• In the Author Bio, describe yourself in a proper way. Tell them what you do and how you can help. Provide a link directly to your about me instead of home page of Blog.
• If you are Guest Posting, do not forget to reply to comments. Most Guest Posters forget to do so and end up decreasing the value of the article they have written. Blog Readers like people who respond to them.

There can be few more enhancements which you can do to get better results. However the most important thing is to write a nice article.
