Okay all of you Warlock voters. Here she is--my human warloc-- Sandrina! AND in just a day and a half, I have leveled her to 12 and a half. (Shuddup. Remember: the halfsies are important!)

For your viewing pleasure, I have given to you my warlock! (Also known as 'lock--for those down with the 411 on the abbreviations. Which I am just learning. We will discuss the whole dot dot dot thing I see all the time in general chat another time. I finally figured that one out! And by figured out, of course I mean was told.)

SANDRINA: Human Warlock, level 12 (and a half), Twisting Nether server. She's a total "brick--hooouuuse!"

I have to tell you, I absolute crack up at the attitude of the imp. The comments it makes when you send it to attack something are hilarious with it's squeaky little bitchy self. (Why do I relate?)

"Can't we all just get along?"
"This was NOT in my contract!"
"Oh, sure, send the little guy!"

I mean, nothing like hearing a tiny, bitchy imp while in battle.

I just got my voidwalker, so I am not sure what kind of attitude he has, but I am sure he has one since I have to PAY to use his sorry butt. He gives me attitude. I was told he is good for "tanking" like my druid bear form. (Oh joy! We all remember how much I got that whole discussion.)

So thanks for playing along and helping me choose. Now for review so you can HELP me and at least say howdy to me, her name is Sandrina and she has to live on the Twisting Nether server. (And no, I did not pick my own server. The testosterone in the house did and I wanted help.) Look me up and let's quest!

Oh, and one more thing: We women are starting an all women guild. If it turns out we are all wives, we can play around with the Widower Maker name. If we are not, we will find something equally kick-assishness. Let me know if you are interested in joining. I will have more details later-- like on what server and important crap like that-- when I come up with them. Or they are suggested. Or it just happens. Something like that. I will let you know.

In the extended entry, you can find her with her imp minion (frolicking with my mini-diablo) and also with her voidwalker (not WINDbreaker which I keep calling him. And no I am not meaning those slick type jackets but one who breaks wind. Tell me these Voidwalkers don't break wind. They SO do. That is why they are so cranky! Gas!)

Evil frolicking in the grass. Makes you want to strangle little bunnies, huh!

Tell me this is not a WINDbreaker. I thought not!

So, if anyone comments (*yawn* you must comment), I will let you choose the details. Sound good? If not, I am leaving it up to chance, luck and champagne. (Which might be a helluva lot funnier if no one comments.)

Warlock it is. If I stay on the server I have been on, I have to stay Alliance. Unless I start new. Ohhhhhhh the pressure. And let me tell you people right now....I expect help! (Please)

Yes, that beyotch Marama finally leveled to 22. (Shuddup with the laughter! She has been 21 for like FOREVER and a day and half.) And I had fun playing her. Especially when I can enjoy the bliss that Blizzard does with the Christmas gags. I mean, having her turn into a tiny little Santa gnome that is about the size of my Zergling? Now, that my friends is comedy.

So, I guess I won't kill Marama or keep her locked up in the "you suck I hate you" cage. And my hunter? I have one at 17 and the one I just started at 9. Just waiting for 10 to get my pet.

Oh, and I must share this...

At Clint's work party, I was talking to a co-worker that has 4 level 60 something-or-anothers (Bragger!) and his wife was sitting there. So, I did what I should do (try to recruit) and asked her if she played and if they had fun with it. She looked at me like I was insane and said, "I have better uses for my time. No."

Well, pppfffffffft! I used to say that. But look at me now. Actually, I never said that. I said things more like, "Hell no that piece of crap? I hate hate hate it. Go away... But tell me more first."

Women, we so need to guild up and show that we can do this. And I swear it won't take me a year to level to 22 again. Scouts honor. Really.

Let's rock this World (of Warcraft) and make a Widower Makers Guild! Are you in?

Right now, thanks to the help of my teen/tween and possibly my dog, I am stuck in a place that I have no idea how I got there or how to leave. (I asked for their help. My bad.) I have quests that I have no idea where I picked them up or how to accomplish them. (Again, my bad for not paying attention.) And now, she just sits in her lost little town far from the safety of Teldrassil. I will return to her, but for now, she shall sleep it off while I gather new characters to..well, enjoy.

I started a hunter. YES, I KNOW you are saying I told you so. Hey, I like having a pet do my dirty work. What can I say? I am also going to start a priest. Because, well, I am trying to work with this freaking casters and spell making voodoo magic guys, but I just really like beating the crap out of people. Warrior perhaps? Anyway, I am trying as many as I can to see what I like best and then taking that one to 60.

Okay, I need a shout out for help. I am at level 21 with Marama. She is a Night Elf Druid. I never made any pretenses that I knew what I was doing when I started this game. In fact, I started it admitting I knew nothing. I have learned some things. In fact, some of my normal vocabulary has been replaced with game speak (as pointed out by another WoW woman gamer). But I am stuck. Stuck at level 21. I have a confession to make. I don't think I like Marama. I mean, sure she looks badass and all, but I am not loving the whole Druid/Night Elf experience. I picked her when I knew very little about what the races/classes etc were.

So, now that I have played many other characters in Burning Crusade, I am starting to fall in love with the Hunter. (Yes, I admit it is mainly because I love having a pet. Don't get me wrong, my little Zerling is fine and all, but doesn't help out worth crap. He is all vanity!)

So here is where you come in:

Do I start with a new character and pretend Marama never existed?

Will one of you be willing to train me in the ways of a Druid NIght Elf so that I can try to level this beyotch before the expansion pack is officially released?

[Sidenote: Just to show you how I struggle with this particular character and quests, last night my husband-level 60 hunter and level 40 plus on many others- walked in and saw where I was in the game and exclaimed, "What the hell are you doing there?? You are so going to get killed. Do you KNOW you are in the heart of Horde territory and most of the creatures there are level 25 and up? Log out and I will help you tomorrow." See? Totally newbie. Yes, I am a newbie. We all were once!]

And you see, I am already to level 17 with my Hunter in BC. So, what do you think I should do? By giving up Marama, that is quitting. That takes this whole experience and shows that it failed. Doesn't it?

Gamers, I know you sneak in here every now and then to read this trainwreck of a gaming blog. Let me hear from you. But save the nasty. I don't need the nasty.

I absolutely love that the people at Blizzard have a good sense of humor. It is what drove me to try the game in the first place. I must admit, I am going to seriously miss the Trick or Treating in the game. Sometimes, sad as it may sound, I would actually play that extra hour just to see what my next "trick" would be. (The tricks were way more fun than the treats!) Here are a few of the screenshots I got with some of the tricks played on me.

Marama was turned into a Ninja:

(Notice the big bucket to the right of her on the left of your screen? Great place to "bob for apples" as food. They thought of everything!)

But by far, my favorite is what they did to my hunter in Burning Crusade. Here she is pictured with her pet and Mini Diablo. I am pretty sure she could scare the pants off you for Halloween if they showed up at your door!

(This screen shot is from the Exodor in Burning Crusade. Isn't it gorgeous? Of course, it is one huge frickin' maze in there, so I get lost every time I go in there, but I am figuring it out. Slowly. Very slowly!)

And finally, here is my female hunter turned undead, doing the dance of the undead in the Inn in the Exodor.

See? This is fun! I am totally going to miss this fun side part of the game.

I wonder if they will turn people into turkeys for US's Thanksgiving? Now that would be funny to see a bunch of turkeys in battle!

(More screen shots of other Halloween things they did in the extended entry. Thanks Blizzard!)

Here is my character after being turned into a BUSTY pirate. (And people are complaining that the Blood Elf doesn't look right and isn't in propotion? Are they kidding me??)

No. Look closer.

And, finally, the Tauren Mask that I got slapped on my face. Toooo funny!

I will post more as I play throughout the day and get things slapped on me. It has been fun. I think it should be something they keep. A little random thing you can get to keep things...uhhh...interesting when not taking it TOO seriously.

For those of you who read my other blog, Mommy Needs Coffee, you may be aware that I have had some medical issues I have been dealing with. So, you may be assuming that is why I have not blogged about World of Warcraft or Marama, my beloved Night Elf. You may reason that I have not been playing WoW and therefore couldn't blog about it.

Well, actually, you would be wrong. Well, partially wrong. I haven't actually been playing my character Marama in World of Warcraft as much as I was. Did I quit? Nope. Did I decide I couldn't be a gamer? Not at all.

So what have I been doing?

Playing the Friends and Family Alpha edition of The Burning Crusade, baby.

You read that right. Me--the "latest neo-gamer" I believe I was called by some silly website. I have been having the time of my life playing WoW- The Burning Crusade.

I have been playing the so called secret "friends and family alpha test" for relatives and associates of Blizzard's employees for quite a while now. It was very hard to not talk about playing The Burning Crusade, but there was an agreement that contains a clause strictly forbidding participants to even acknowledge the program's existence. But let me tell you something. It existed.

Now I am playing the Burning Crusade closed beta edition. How do I let you know how much fun this is? How about...it totally kicks ass! I have created character after character to just see what new spells and talents they have. I will continue to blog about both the WoW experience and Burning Crusade experience--now that I can acknowledge that it exists.

I can admit to playing the game and can tell you with no fear of you ever coming back to me doubting my word, you will really enjoy WoW-BC. I wouldn't lie to you.

Sometimes there are quests that should be a piece of cake, but for some reason, they kick my butt time and again. I was having just one of those nights. (As my son sat beside me with his guild members trying to kill Nefarian while also trying to hide his laughter over my level 18 (and a half) attempts to just get through this minor quest.) It was about that time that Clint walked in and asked what I getting so mad about.

He got the glare of death to not tease me. And thus the rant began.

"First the quest is stupid. And I have died like way too many times to count. And see this? Little Miss Crabby Ass Anti-Social even joined a party to get through this quest, but no...I am the highest level here we all know that means nothing in this case. So, yes, I am not pleased but damn if I am going to stop playing now. Ohhhh, victory and level 19 will be mine. I'm just saying."

"Ask them if they want a level 60 hunter to come aid them." (I almost broke in the a chorus of Here I come to save the daayyyyyyyy!

Want to know what they party said? Do you? They said, "No thanks. We have a level 33 on his way to come help."

And in rushes Level 33 to save the day. (TWO still died AND they left me behind.) No big deal. I get that. BUT, I am not joking when I say I am Little Miss Crabby Ass Anti-Social when I play.

It isn't that I want to be mean or not talk, but here is where my "rules" issues come in. (a) Do you talk to anyone? Do you thank them for doing something to help you? Can you ask questions of anyone? (b) HOW do you do that? By the time I figure out the whisper or party talk or guild chat, the moment is so over. I don't do good with SO OVER moments. It is like a comedian with no improv abilties. Not so funny. Me? Not so social (or you can call me game ignorant. But I am learning!)

So they left me behind and I rushed in to help/be a good party memeber/kill things when I realized no one had my back.

In races my man on his loyal steed...

...Okay, it was an epic mount and all but when you are level 18 (and a half!) and you see a level 60 hunter coming riding over the hill to save your ass, it is Prince Charming for certain. I asked my party 'leader' twice to invite him, but the 'leader' never responded. I had no choice.

I left that party and joined with my Man. Let's just say a level 60 hunter coming to help on a level 18 quest is a no brainer. So, as the other party watched, we (and when I say we, I mean he) killed things and I got to loot loot loot without sharing. Mwhahaha. However, there was one member of the party that was nice and tried to help, so we helped him out and went on with our business.

One shot in, I leveled. Baaa buu bummmmmm!

I am not one to be quiet about a level. (Each level may be my last with this game and my infrequent non-gaming self.) So there I sit celebrating.

"I leveled
I leveled
Who's da man?
I'm da man.
I leveled
I own them
I leveled...."

On and on until my son looked at me and threw down: "He killed something and are taking the credit for leveling something? Not that big a deal."

Oh no he didn't. Now, it would have to be time for the LABOR guilt trip to be followed by the "but I forgive you" speech.

"Oh, is that how it works? I went through 9 months of pregnancy. I went through 36 hours of labor. I got the stretch marks and big butt. I am the one who will never fit into my skinny jeans again. But HE got to say that he had a son. So, yes, he shot one arrow and I get to say I leveled. In the big scheme of things, that technically falls under the Big Whoop category. Wouldn't you say?"

My son looked at my husband. My husband shrugged.

"Does she always do that?" asked my son.

My husband just looked at him resigned to it. "Only if she can bring in the 36 hours of labor she had with you."

The moral of the story?

I leveled and am now a level 19, thankyouverymuch.

I have finally reached level 17and 3/4... because those 3/4 mean something...with Marama. Like a child saying they are 5 and 1/2 because that half is IMPORTANT and they need you to know they are not just 5, but 5 and 1/2. I am 17 and 3/4! But so that I don't look like I am too lame, I have to admit that I have also been playing another character to see what else is out there.

See, that sounds so mature and gamer-open-minded. Truth of the matter is that I have about lost my cool at continually having quests pile up and not being able to finish them. When in doubt, start a new character and play that one. You'll feel so tough when you level so quickly. (This one is a hunter. And I just started another new one. It is fun to play the different characters and learn the skills. Really. And it is an ego booster to see them level.)

However, Marama is the one I have to get to level 60! Level 60? Puhleez! I think that I would be level 739 if yelling at the enemy helped you to level. I could totally rock the world of warcraft if yelling counted for anything. But alas, it doesn't. In fact, in an act of cosmic injustice, my microphone broke. Broke. I cannot even yell at Clint through teamspeak now. How unfair is that?!

Although, I am an all about me kind of gal, a friend of mine is under the weather, so her husband (a man who admits to created the situation of his wife becoming a gaming widow) posted a great post on her blog about how to talk to a level 60 WoW player. (I still just hear World of Warcraft blah blah blah epic mount blah blah blah, but more of the blah blah is becoming clearer. I am learning the new language. At times I SPEAK the new language. Shocking. I know.)

I am thinking of making an entire guide to the widows/widowers of the game on the proper responses to this foreign language the World of Warcraft players speak. Because even when I play and one of the Males tells me to "ranjusticate the flugermeister by right clicking, move your mouse, jump in a circle and then take your huntsteimer and put it in your thingiebagpackamajiggy", well, I get confused. Of course, if that is actually what they are saying, I should be confused, but I have replaced the words they use to baffle me with the words I am hearing.

Have faith. One day I will reach a level where I am no longer the "fluff blogger" trying to be a gamer and be a gamer trying to sound a bit more like a fluff blogger. Hmmm, imagine that. *shudder* Slap me now. I will be both. Fluffy gamer with eye-bleeding color on my site. Just to confuse the die-hard gamers. It is fun to watch them ponder this experiment. If only they knew what goes on behind the scenes that is not blogged. I know I could shut them up in a heartbeat. But for now, I will just keep on keeping on in the gaming world and thank those who have been SO supportive. (You know who you are. And you know how much it means.)

Now, the kids are in school which can only mean one thing. Time to level. Or die (too many times) trying.
