I don’t know why but it creates a lot of mean comments saying that those models are ugly and unattractive. Well this models still have an amazing body and I am sure a lot of women would like to look without makeup like Adriana Lima or Alessandra Ambrosio. Those models are real women with imperfections and that’s makes them even more beautiful. STOP being so judgemental!'

Pringle of Scotland AW2012 LFW

The show of Alistair Carr who joined Pringle of Scotland in March 2011. I was really curious about this collection. It is always very exciting to see new vision this time the vision of Pringle of Scotland by Alistair.

The inspiration for him is PoS team, intarsia and the photographer Watanabe Katsumi.

We could see quite simple shapes and nice connection of colours. I think it is kind of modern smart look, simple and attractive at the same time.

The other thing which i like is the hair stylization, see the colour of hair endings, a great craziness with classic of designs. Thats due Paul Hanlon at Julian Watson Agency using Loreal Paris.

I have my fav pieces like pink jumper- really like this nude pink and the shape

Another big success of young and talented Alexa.

She will be the spokesperson for the annual British Designers Collective and she will host the launch of the initiative on 21st of March (collaboration between the British Fashion Council and outlet shopping centre Bicester Village).

This is a very important event we will see there the biggest fashion name like: Peter Pilotto, Jonathan Saunders, Nicholas Kirkwook, Marios Schwab and many, many more.

Meadham Kirchhoff AW12 London Fashion Week

Edward Meadham and Benjamin Kirchhoff- Edward is an English designer and Benjamin is from Sete in France.

The description of the woman by MK is uncompromising, aware and individual.

Unforgetable show, the catwalk was like a big, big, big party! We started at reception, when We could take a glass of champagne or something quick to eat.

Then inside everything in disco lights, streamers & stars..!

The show was started and it was an amazing choice of music for example remix of Mariah Carey "All I want for Christmas". The final was with my best song ever, Dancing Queen by Abba.

The collection was really crazy, a lot of strong colours, disco feeling, kitsch, heavy make up, some of the models have blue or green faces (similar to Vivienne Westwood Show SS12). We could see sequins, scratched, a big choice of furs, cherry prints.

My favourite piece is a sequined shiny suit.

FiFi Lapin and Juicy Couture Masquerade Ball

Yesterday I was delighted to be one of the guest at Juicy Couture Masquerade Ball.

I could take a look on Juicy's collection and I found few beautiful pieces! A bit of vintage look- scarf bra top and in the same taste maxi dress. Please take a look on the pics:

I also was impressed by bags by JC, if you are looking for something cool definitely it will be bag with slogan "couture is here"!

More about the event? is was very nice, a lot of people from fashion brand, very nice atmosphere and so gorgeous venue. We could chat with nice music in background, drinking coctails or champaigne and eat so delicious cupcakes with fifi lapin images. Then I was very happy to receive a goody bag with JC perfumes!

Ashish AW 12 Bollywouldn't

I remember my first show of Ashish, it was my first fashion week as well (AW11).

This one I love the most. Is really shiny, colourful with an amazing prints. Everything was looking so beautifull in shining lights and whats more i was sitting just next to Susie Bubble

Ashish presents really brave fashion with great sense of humor, slogans on the shirts, smiley faces on the trousers, power of colours, sequins, kind of sport look with glamorous flavor. In AW12 you can find a lot of diffrent pieces starting with a littlle shiny sequined shorts and as well cool oversized Buddhas on the dresses.

Take a look on the accesories like scarves, amazing face jewellery or rainbows shoes.

Im also a big fan of styling (so big congratulations for Anna Trevelyan at CLM), Unfortunately Im not brave enough to wear this like it was on on the catwalk but still i really admire it! I think i would go with one piece per day.. but well Ashish is that kind of designer that even one piece is making your whole outfit!

Good news? Ashish will be working with Topshop again, so keep an eye on it!

So cute and sweet and girly vision of 60’s . Fabulous collection with pastel colour, very classy! It is good to see something serious on the catwalk... but don’t get me wrong I am a big fan of crazy staff but sometimes some of the things are just not wearable … but well happily we always have Moschino!

London Fashion Week AW2012 House of Holland " Ride it"

The house of Hollandgirl rides the Tour de France

On friday when I was chatting with my firneds I said that I havent seen any show which stole my heart.. yes it was like that, until House of Holland show.. my absolutely no1 so far!

1. Queue-> we didnt have to wait so long to go inside (for example Simone Rocha was so chaotic and then standing tickets dont even go inside because the show was already full)

2. The Venue- My Beautifull Fashion, Goldsmiths' Hall, very glamorous!

3. The guests: it was very nice to see Alexa Chunga who is new BFC Young Style Ambassador, Pixie Geldof, Nick Grimshaw, Poppy Delivgne, Hilarry Alexander... so yes it was excited to be part of this show!

4. Music.. mix of The MisShapes creat a very funky, cool atmosphere

5. The collection absolutely amazing pieces, very colorfull fuchia, pillar box red , navy, sky blue, the opposite of the borring. Thats kind of clothes which gives you an opportunity to create your own, unique outfit and you can wear it on many ways.. The insipration of Henry Holland is tour de france ( btw one of thwe model was with bicycle on the catwalk), 70s Sci-Fi& Futurustic sportswear. So what you need to know about AW12 by HoH? So we could see a lot of boucle houndstooth prints, metallic details, goat hair trims , luxe optical striped wool jerseys.

Jean Paul Gaultier & Amy Winehouse (Haute Couture SS12)

The last fashion show inspired by Amy Winehouse. In good taste or not? Is that really a tribute to very talented and unique singer? or just marketing campaign (by the way very successfull because the whole fashion world is talking about it) but still if it is marketing campaign, does Jaun Paul Gaultier really need that kind of movement? he is already famous, established and iconic designer, so what is the point?

Some of the project for example the white-bride dress is giving me very mixed feelings... and the view of very happy designer after the show is also quite confusing. As we remeber Amy died in tragic circumstances, so I understand why her family is shocked about that.. it had to be very awful for her friends and family to see.. the model similar to Amy in bride dress...

whats your opinion?

London Fashion Week from the kitchen

I would like to show you few pictures form the “kitchen” of LFW (september 11'). Usually I chilled out in Press lounge as I was lucky to get that badge and it is really nice to have a place when you can sit, drink a coffee, take a breath. The other thing is you can meet a lot of people with the same interest, you can see a lot of styles… The thing about fashion week is that is really exhausting time, you need to be open-eyed 24/h … like watch the time to not miss your show, literally be on fire when you finished one show and you have the other one in 15 minutes in completely different place…( so the cabs are money maker) you just need to be smart and crafty.

… so it is not a lot of time for rest. But for me it is the most beautiful feeling when you are doing what you love and this feeling of being tired after that.

Mark Fast SS12

Mark Fast is young Canadian knitwear designer. He showed us a collection just before Burberry, so the schedule of guest was very busy, but still on the show we could see the stylists like Grace Woodward, Brix Smith (again), or singer Eliza Doolittle, Sunday Girl - Jade Williams and representation of fashion TV, Noele Reno.

The collection is very sexy, very feminine. Every little piece is beautifully made, an amazing details and wonderful craftsmanship. In SS12 collection we can find a lot of evening dresses in beige-gold colors.
The first part of the show was actually in bright colors, then collection change to more lively and energetic with yellow, orange, red, strong pink very summery breath and the last pieces were in black, so I think everyone can find something for yourself.

Bora Aksu SS12- "romantic with darker twist" LFW

Turkish designer, Bora Aksu successfull men on the many platforms.. displays at
Selfridges, recipient of Newgen (btw 4 times!) and whats more he met the Queen. His style is kind of romatic but with a darker twist (perfect description of SS12 collection)

BFC catwalk space quite simple catwalk but this time in the middle of catwalk rose's petals, so beautifull and simple variety.

The collection begun with the cream, beige, white soft colours classic Bora Aksu coctails dresses. The transparent fabrics, a lot of collars, very romantic and subtle pieces.

Then we could see the projects more in intesive colours like red, deep navy, turquais, black. The second part is looking much more heavier the designer attached few pleated fragments but still some of the projects has the laces and clearances.

As the guests british, fashion stylist Brix Smith, you should remember her from Gok's Fashion Fix. I had an occasion to chat with her for a while and she is really nice and lovely person. Also we could see Noele Reno from Fashion TV.
