This is my 2nd time to visit Redang Island. First time was about 8 years ago! This time we have 11 friends travel together which make our trip have more fun and memorable.

We took flight from LCCT to Kuala Terengganu via AirAsia. The ticket quite cheap at RM160 per person for two ways. The airplane photo was taken secretly because the attendant stop me to take photo when boarding.

The actual flying time is only 30 minutes. The lake view from window above a thousand feet!

Finally we arrived at Redang Island after 45 minutes speed boat from Merang Jetty. See the blue sky and green clear sea water.

Our 3D2N package at Redang Pelangi resort is fun, enjoyable and relaxing. All meals and snorkelling activities are included, no need headache to arrange.  We are planning to go again in near future. Do you want to join me?

By the way, I didn’t see any respond time commitment on the website. I believe it will be a bonus if client can be assured by 4 hours, 12 hours or 24 hours respond time.

I also noticed Storm IT team is vibrant and professional. They share tips and tricks for latest gadgets, and record their own gadgets review too!

What so Special about Casa Del Rio Melaka?

Frankly, the exterior design does not give me feeling of luxury until you check in and enjoy the facilities. Casa Del Rio Melaka is not simply a hotel. It is a Boutique Hotel. Which means it has only limited amount of guest rooms, Quality atmosphere, Great service and Peranakan Unique theme design. I’m really enjoy with the four aspect below that make it different from others.

1. River side – It is built beside Melaka River, feel of romantic walking at the river side as well as river cruise. And panoramic view of Melaka city from swimming pool on top floor.
2. Classic design with Luxury Experience - All furniture and room design are classic. Yet, no shortage of luxury experience! Imagine yourself are rich-man few decades ago and now enjoying highclass taste modern facilities.
3. Strategic location - Just five-minute walking distance to the Jonker Street. It is located in the heart of the city.
4. Last but not least, the Thoughtful, Friendly Great service. We were surprised few times with the warm service! I’ll tell you more in my experience below.

My Luxury Experience at Casa Del Rio Melaka

Let’s discover the Home Sweet Home yet luxury stay experience in the Old Historic City of Melaka.

The water-front fountain at lobby once came out from car park.

The hotel reception. But no one there to check in. Why?

Yes, we don’t need to queue in front the reception. Can you tell me any other hotel that serve you in a pavilion during check in time? I was flattered! We started to take some photos when the receptionist process my check in. The receptionist is friendly and pro too.

The welcome cold towel and welcome ginger ice in unique wooden tray. Miss the ginger ice so much! When put in mouth, it was first cold, then turn warm with nice ginger smell.

When walk in to the room, the TV start auto play classic FM music. The song taste suit us. It is a huge guest room, at least 560 square feet. This bed room view from bath room sliding window. Spacious and antique design. All furniture are well carving with antique pattern.

The romantic balcony design available in each guest room. I started to feel this is home, not a hotel. No wonder they welcome me to “home” during check in.

See the walkway in the room? So long and spacious.

So far the most satisfied bath room I saw among the hotels. Flat long bathtub with the size for couple. Serve with some bath salt and relax in the clear warm water.

Go down to have a walk around the hotel. The river side path is a beautiful scene to take outdoor photography.

Live band during high-tea session at The River Grill restaurant. I love Jazz! Not sure how long they can sing, but non-stop as long as I was there.

Let’s do some exercise in the gym room. It could suit 5 persons. You believe or not, this is my first time do gym! I run fast ….

Until half die….(exhausted)

Haha..just kidding! By the way, I always wonder why people are so pity to torment themselves with difficult exercise.

But if you really half-die (exhausted), can just walk to the spa room next door. They have plenty of package for foot,facial and full body. This is Couple Spa Room.

Enjoy the Couple Jacuzzi spa after massage. Unfortunately I don’t have chance to try it out.

I prefer this Infinity swimming pool on roof top. It is well maintain with crystal clear water. It is relaxing while swimming and enjoy beautiful scenery from top view at the pool edge!

Deck chair and bath towel is serve here.

When back to the room in the afternoon, we were served with Onde-Onde on table (traditional Peranakan food). We were really surprise by the thoughtful service and dessert. It is delicious!

One of the best facility in Casa Del Rio Melaka. I love this library very very much!

Comfortable sofas, ambient lights, Internet, coffee and tea. And don’t forget the books and newspaper in library.

Fast Internet service with classic Antique furnitures.

Coffee and Tea for Free! Not the ordinary coffee and tea.

Caffe Vergnano Espresso Coffee, luxury fine coffee. I drink two cups at night. Fortunately still can sleep!

TWG Tea bag with choice of four type of tea.

Cafee Vergnano Espresso maker. Slot in the coffee bullet and press the button.Espresso is serve within minute. It is complimentary Free!

On the second day morning,we took our breakfast at River Grill restaurant. Really appreciate they give us two complimentary breakfast to enjoy.

And this is not a normal buffet breakfast. We were guided to a table and serve with napkin. While we are thinking what to have on the buffet table, the waitress give us a huge menu.

The complimentary breakfast come with a main course of your own choice, and buffet. We ordered a Big Breakfast (Yes, it is really big till I can’t finish it all)

A Fluffy scrambled egg with smoked Salmon on toast and a pot of Cafee Vergnano Espresso!

The most luxury Honey I ever seen! The fresh honey drop from Honeycomb on a tube and collect into a cup. Don’t waste, I spread on my toast.

We were very satisfied with the high-class breakfast set and coffee! Most luxury breakfast I ever seen and taste.

After breakfast we enjoy a bit in the private Library and check out to spend our day in this World Heritage of Melaka. This is the last photo I took outside the guest room. It just minutes away from the Jonker street.

We end our short vacation in this delightful heaven here. In fact, it is not end here. We got another surprise before drive. I receive a note that the hotel wash the car wide-screen and windows for us. They are so thoughtful!

Best Hotel for Who?

Now you may ask, should I stay in Casa Del Rio Melaka? I highly recommend for those who want to have a Relaxing and Luxury trip in the city of Melaka with Great service! No hassle on transportation because you could reach to attractions by walking or trishaw.

We walked to Jonker street on Sunday night to enjoy some local foods. Don’t miss it if you are food lover!

Besides, they provide meeting room and wedding packages too.

My Two Cents

The first impression come into my mind when talk about Casa Del Rio Melaka is the word “Homely”!

Although it is not as large as other resort I have visited, it is well equipped with fine quality facilities,service and food. On top of that, it still give the feeling of Home. I love this boutique hotel very much.

Of course it is not cheap to stay in this boutique hotel. The price start from RM400 to RM600 for Deluxe Lago room. But I feel it worth the price!

Last but not least, it will be 100% perfect if the hotel add in facility of Sauna, Jacuzzi and changing room at swimming pool. I believe Casa Del Rio Melaka will do it better in my future visit. I will be back!

My Two Cents

In fact this is upgraded version of Air Playit V2.If you’re streaming video often, most streaming apps are paid apps. Digiarty Software is so kind to giveaway such professional streaming app for FREE on multiple platform!

I did a streaming video test from Macbook to Android phone. Streaming 1.3GB HD Transformer 3 movie via Wireless-G connection, it run smoothly without lagging. You would not feel much lag even track forward it. Very fast performance!

I think it should run perfect on Wireless-N connection. Of course affected by the phone processing speed too. Head towards Air Playit main page and install now! What are you waiting for?
