One of the very coveted monuments of Ahmedabad is that of the Sidi Bashirs mosque. The mosque is located outside the Sarangpur gate. This mosque is famous for its shaking minarets or otherwise known as Jhulta minars. Every minaret of this mosque comprises of three storeys, and each of the storeys is girdled by stone carved balconies. The minarets are delicate and balanced. This is a completely innovative style. The expert craftsmen of that period designed them in such a style that they react to vibrations which could be communicated to other by means of a stone bridge which joins the mosque and the minars.
