I just restocked the shop will all kinds of fabulous print chevrons and dots in flannels and cottons. I just love these basic bright prints with a white contrast.

In other news, I invested in some new photography equipment and have been experimenting with the best spot in the studio to set this up and take pictures from. Here is a shot of one of my latest swaddlers with my new <img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/Ahmelie/~4/NGqR8IKeVfw" height="1" width="1"/>

{What I Worked on Wednesday} Quilts

Its been a typical January in the studio. Lots of clean up and organizing after the holiday rush, and also lots of finishing projects. I made this quilt as a wedding gift for my in-laws, now nobody bring up how long they've been married--I know, this is sooooo late! With the month of love L-U-V approaching I thought it fitting to put a red chevron in the mix for our Fabulous Fabric Friday. This is a basic print from Riley Blake Designs. Chevrons are bouncy prints with a playful look, yet simple in design.

This fabric would make a great pillow cover,

or a piece in a yummy quilt.

So happy its Friday, how about you? This week I was in a fabric store getting my usual fabric "fix" and little O found some fleece he just had to have some pajama's out of. I have to admit, it looks pretty cozy and the cute little monsters aren't bad either. He convinced me that we needed to get it. Hard sell, I know!

Have you heard of my new line of arm warmers? They're called Slox. {Sleeves + Sox = Slox} Yep I make them out of sox so they come in all kinds of great colors and print combo's. This week I've been working on stocking my store, taking pictures and listing all these sweet little ditties.

Slox are super fun to make, but even more fun to wear. They extend summer short sleeved shirts <img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/Ahmelie/~4/lPzyGyLDGkw" height="1" width="1"/>

{Fabulous Fabric Friday} Greenhouse Backyard Citron

I love the color citron, thus an entire pinboard on pinterest dedicated to the color. I also particularly like this orchid color with citron. Apparently Erin McMorris and I have similar tastes as she has made an entire fabric line around these colors called Greenhouse.

My sister got married last weekend and I needed a snazzy outfit. I scored big on end of the season sales and was able to snatch up this cute white cotton dress for a fraction of the price. The perfect way to end summer and celebrate adding another "brother" to the family!

So before too long I ran into the shoe rack. Another sale. Well, I'd hate to have to pay more later for shoes, <img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/Ahmelie/~4/xjRAyQRIeo8" height="1" width="1"/>

{What I Worked on Wednesday on Thursday} Studio Organization Needed

Do you ever have days where your floor, desk, cutting table and entire studio look like this? There are piles every where! Granted this is a very pretty pile of new bolts of fabric from Heather Bailey's Freshcut line, and I danced a jig when it arrived, but its a pile none-the-less. We just got back from a vacation and I need a vacation from my vacation. Can I get an oofta?

I'm so lovin' this new chevron print by Doohikey Designs. Its called Dress Up Days and this color is grape. I jive with zig zags, I think it matches my multi-tasking personality well, some days I bounce all over the place. As long as I get to cross items off my to-do list, its all good. This comes in two other great colors, you can run over to my website, if you are dying to see them. :)

I bumped into a really cool blogger, Deborah, who makes Quilts of Hope. Doesn't that name just make you excited?! Quilts of Hope provides quilts to a home in Russia for girls who have been rescued from abusive situations. I love hearing about organizations like this who have a passion to give to others in need. Its like reaching out and giving a hug, from half way around the world.

With a houseful of boys, we are often in need of a bug or critter catcher. I've made two of these simple netted wonders this week for Owen. Good thing I have an abundance of wire hangers and netting fabric. Who knows where the first one went. I think the neighborhood dogs might have wanted one of their own! :)
