So this guy David T. Meyers a convicted sex offender was chocked to death by a 64-year-old Robert McNally, according to police Meyers had entered the home of McNally through a window near bedroom of 17 year old daughter. now, I'm really sorry to hear that this guy (Meyers) died but I would have to say that a Father just like my self would have done the same thing to protect my family.

Meyers had served 10 years in prison for criminal confinement and sexual deviate
conduct and was wanted in Boone County for failure to register as a sex
offender. He was registered as a sex offender in Marion County.
Police said
Meyers lived with his mother and had recently lost his job.
The death is
under investigation and will be reviewed by a Marion County
prosecutor.
"Nobody wins," McNally told The Indianapolis Star. "It's a
lose-lose situation for everybody. He has family also."

It sounds like John McCain is not only talking the talk, but walking the walk of what a President should be doing. By the way, are John McCain and Sen. Barack Obama still getting paid for their job? If they are, then who is pulling the cover over whose eyes (John McCain is working for his money).

Democratic Sen. Barack Obama rejected Republican Sen. John McCain’s dramatic
call Wednesday to delay Friday’s presidential debate because of the economic
crisis. The McCain campaign said McCain would not show up for the debate unless
a deal to address the crisis was reached.
The Commission on Presidential
Debates and the University of Mississippi, the scheduled host of Friday night’s
first debate, said the debate would go forward. They did not say what they would
do if McCain failed to show up in Oxford, Miss.
Speaking to reporters
in Clearwater, Fla., Obama said he and McCain agreed on the need to issue a
joint statement of support for legislation to rescue the banking industry. But
he declined McCain’s call to postpone the debate.
“This is exactly the time
when the American people need to hear from the person who in approximately 40
days will be responsible for dealing with this mess,” Obama told reporters in
Clearwater, Fla.
“In my mind, it’s more important than ever that we present
ourselves to the American people and describe where we want to take the country
and where we want to take the economy,” he said.

It sounds like John McCain is trying to SHOW us where he wants to take our country economically, not just debate about it.Late Wednesday, the candidates issued a joint statement.

statement says. "We cannot risk an economic catastrophe. Now is our chance to
come together to prove that Washington is once again capable of leading this
country."

McCain adviser Nancy Pfotenhauer said McCain is just following his belief in putting the country first. She noted that he suspended the Republican National Convention when Hurricane Gustav hit the Gulf Coast and supported the unpopular troop surge in Iraq by saying he would rather win a war than win an election.

What causes ear wax? So what is ear candling and when is it necessary?

I was just cleaning my ears and I thought? Why does sometimes when I'm on certain phones my ear feels like it's leaking something afterward? It's probably the heat created by cell phones and cordless phones that I used to use. Now I have a corded phone and don't have any problem with it. But we're going to be getting a Stealth Radar Shield soon so when we get a new cordless phone I will know that the radiation will be 98% taken care of (which is better than 0% taken care of).

What causes ear wax?

The skin cells lining our outer ear canals include tiny glands, similar to sweat
glands, which produce wax. The point seems to be that this acts as a protective
layer, which traps dust and other particles which get into the ear. The wax
slowly works its way to the outside, taking the trapped dirt and dust with
it.

What do people need to do to clear it?

Most people's ears clear the wax, which probably comes off on our pillows and
towels etc., at a rate which means that it does not build up. Some people may,
at some stages in their lives produce wax at a faster rate. Other people have
either one or both ear canals that is narrow, or that is at an angle which slows
the natural passage of the wax. In these people the wax builds up.

What should people not do to clear ear wax?

Do not try to clean out your ears by using a cotton bud. (Ear Nose and Throat
specialists sometimes say "You shouldn't stick anything in your ear that's any
smaller than your elbow!") This may merely act like a ram rod, and could damage
the ear drum. It may help to wear ear plugs if you work in a particularly dusty
environment. If you keep getting ears blocked with wax, it may be worth using a
couple of drops of olive oil into each ear once or twice a week.

Ear candling is not recommended. It is a hollow cone made of paraffin and
beeswax with cloth on the tapered end. The tapered end is placed inside the ear,
and an assistant lights the other end, while making sure your hair does not
catch on fire. In theory, as the flame burns, a vacuum is created, which draws
the wax out of the ear. Limited clinical trials, however, showed that no vacuum
was created, and no wax was removed. Furthermore, this practice may result in
serious injury.

A collection of 1,500 audiocassettes was carted away from bin Laden's compound in Kandahar, Afghanistan, in 2001 and provides a glimpse into bin Laden's rise leading up to the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
Certainly, few would dare humanize the man the United States calls its most wanted, who seven years after the country's deadliest terrorist attacks is still being sought dead or alive.
Seven years after the attacks, the most brazen ever carried out anywhere in the world, bin Laden still looms large on the American psyche, its politics and public life.
Nearly 3,000 people died in attacks when four hijacked U.S. jetliners crashed into New York's World Trade Center, the Pentagon and into a rural field in Pennsylvania.
In the years since, the Osama bin Laden who Americans have come to know and demonize has arrived in video dispatches _ monologues excoriating the United States and filled with promises of further violence on American soil.
The audio tapes, some dating back to the 1960s, "show his evolution from a relatively unpolished Muslim reformer, orator and jihad recruiter to his current person," said Flagg Miller, an assistant professor of religious studies at UC Davis and the first academic researcher to study the tapes.

Were these people Christians? Everytime I've watched the Olympics and seen somebody win and be interviewed I never hear anyone giving glory to Jesus Christ. So are these people non-Christians, Christians that have forgotten who gave these people the strength to endure and ability to win even many times by one second, or are they being told for their safety to not mention the name of Jesus Christ?

Todd Bachman and his wife Barbara, who was seriously wounded in the attack, were

Bernie Mac memorial service draws celebrities, thousands of fans

So young, but Jesus Christ knows what's best. Are you ready to meet Jesus? In order for someone to be saved they need(ed) to repent and be baptiz(ed) in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of their sins that they may receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. CHICAGO _ Thousands of fans of late comedian Bernie Mac streamed into a South
Side memorial service Saturday to hear Hollywood and political celebrities
remember a Chicagoan who made people laugh on both TV and the big
screen.
Mac's fellow "Original Kings of Comedy" brought the house down as
they broke down in tears, unable to contain their grief. In the same sentence,
Cedric the Entertainer, Steve Harvey and D.L. Hughley would flip a joke, causing
the crowd to scream in laughter.
"This dude is a very popular guy," Cedric
said of Mac. "You know y'all were like 'let me get four tickets to the funeral!'
He's still the hottest ticket in town."...The Rev. Jesse Jackson told the
audience "Bernie Mac is a serious funnyman" who loved his family and cared about
the tomorrow's youth. Jackson recalled that Mac recently told students at Crane
High School that they should "live above their circumstances" and not
"self-destruct."
"Between birth and death is a dash," Jackson said. "But
between that dash between birth and death, he made a statement."

Hey Jackson's comments sounds like something the owner of Market America said years ago.

Mac, a 50-year-old funnyman, died a week ago from complications due to pneumonia
after being hospitalized at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Mac suffered from
sarcoidosis, a rare autoimmune disease that causes inflammation in tissue, most
often in the lungs....Vera Gordon said she came to pay tribute to the comedian
who made her mother, who suffers from dementia, laugh.
"She watched the
'Bernie Mac Show' every night," Vera Gordon said of her mother, Margaret
Berston, 79. "She would just sit there and laugh. You could see the sadness when
I told her. I came here to represent my mother."
She said Mac had a gift for
highlighting and shining humor on life's most simple interactions and
challenges. "He was very special," she said. "It's like God sent him here on a
mission. He left something here that will never be forgotten."

Way#27 Happiness

This is good.

A young man once came to see me in Jerusalem. He had an unusually happy disposition, so I asked him what's his secret. He told me:
"When I was 11 years old, I received a gift of happiness from God.
"I was riding my bicycle when a strong gust of wind blew me onto the ground, into the path of an oncoming truck. The truck ran over me and cut off my leg.
"As I lay there bleeding, I realized that I might have to live the rest of my life without a leg. How depressing! But then I realized that being depressed won't get my leg back. So I decided right then and there not to waste my life despairing.
"When my parents arrived at the hospital they were shocked and grieving. So I told them: 'I've already adapted. Now you also have to get used to this.'
"Ever since then, I see my friends getting upset over little things: their bus came late, they got a bad grade on a test, somebody insulted them. But I just enjoy life."
At age 11, this young man attained the clarity that it is a waste of energy to focus on what you're missing, and that the key to happiness is to take pleasure in what you have.
Sounds simple, doesn't it?
Way #27 is sameach bi'chelko - literally "satisfaction with one's portion." Happiness is achievable. So why are so many people unhappy? We lack the right tools.
