Design is at a critical inflection point as a practice, thought process and force for change. At “Pivot,” the 2011 AIGA Design Conference in Phoenix, attendees and presenters explored the shifts prompting this change—and learned how to prepare for the complexities of the future.
More than 1,500 designers gathered at “Pivot” this fall to share what is inspiring about design, how to succeed in meeting clients’ needs, and how design can be more effective than ever as society, the economy and the context for design evolves.
After three intensive days of inspiring speakers, practical workshops and in-depth discussions, they walked away with a new perspective on the changing design industry and actionable insights on how to increase their value to clients and society.
