The basketball in Peru is growing, thanks to the globalization, this beautiful sport is getting more fans and a lot of young players.

History

In the 70´s and early 80's the peruvian basketball was at his peak, they won some southamerica championships, and played at the FIBA world cup. In the 90's until 2022, basketball had many problems, the worst was the disaffiliation of FIBA in 2021.

Nowadays

In 2023 the national basketball federation was reborn. They organized the u17 national championship, the national league which is the most ranked competition in Peru. And they are on their way to get their affiliation to FIBA again. There is still no professional league but They are in progress. So far the best leagues are "Liga de Basketball de Lima" and "Liga de Basketball de Arequipa".

By far soccer is the most popular sport in my country which is Peru. I like soccer but I really love basketball and volleyball, in my country there are poor infrastructure for these sports, my dream is to have a decent basketball/volleyball court in my neighborhood, It would be wonderfull to have a court like schools in US has, I know is very expensive build and maintain that type of courts. I want to start with a basic court, with a basic board and well painted court. I realized I need first a ground available, lucky me there are lands for sale, each of one 55 thousand dollars of 115m2 (16mx6m), I know I would need 5 of those lands to have a basketball court. unfortunately I don't have enough money, I would like to know how to get help and make the dream of a lot of kids and young people true. I am all ears.

During the production of the movie Toy Story 2, an unnamed Pixar employee was doing some routine data cleanup. They wanted to delete some of their files. So they typed this into their command line: bin/rm -r -f *. But they didn't realize that they were running the command inside the server's root folder. Animators knew something was wrong when the files they were working on started vanishing.

They rushed over and unplugged the computer. But it was too late. 90% of the Toy Story 2's files had been deleted. The team was going to have to completely restart the $100,000,000 project. Luckily, one of their animators was working from home after having a baby. She had a 2-week old backup of the data sitting on her desk. I thought that when you set the margins on ITextSharp document, you set also the margin for the header. but then I realized the margins are just the margins, and there is no headers by default on ITextSharp.

In order to add a header in ITextSharp, you have to use PageEvent.

And implement the class HeaderFooterFDA2, you can rename that class.

To avoid header overlaps your content, when there are a lot of content that break on a new page. You have to set an additional margin on the method WriteSelectedRows(), in my case I added + 70 units.

imessage an error occurred during activation [solved]

I tried to use iMessage using my apple id, in order to sync my messages to my mac. I tried on my iPhone and my mac, the same error message: an error occurred during activation, please try again later.

Also another message shows up when I tried to sign in on my iPhone:

I read all the tutorials that are available on internet, but they just give you tons of steps, and no one suit up for my problem, at the end I reached apple support and they fixed my problem. iMessage and FaceTime have other server authentication so apple need to validate your identity, they asked me some things to do, and finally they enable my apple id for iMessage and FaceTime, so now I can use iMessage with my apple id and It is working on my mac too, I enable iCloud for iMessages and now my messages are sync on my mac and iPhone.

Git pull origin master does not work

I just updated my git version 2.28.0, after that I tried to push my new code. But an error show up. I thought it was something related to my proxy, because my company has a proxy. But at the end I found out it was my password of my proxy user.

This is the command to set your proxy on git. Run this command on your git command line (gitbash, etc.)

git config --global http.proxy http://user:password@myproxy:8080

My password contained this character #. So I realized that the new update does not allow special characters, so I needed to change my user password, then finally I was able to pull and push to master.

Json result maxlength

I had to code a page. On this page there will be a button to download around 12300 registers on a txt file.

I got Json result maxlength error, It happens because 2097152 characters its the default maximun.

In order to set a new max lenght, just add this line on your json result return object.

return new JsonResult()

JsonRequestBehavior = JsonRequestBehavior.AllowGet

You can set maxjsonlenght parameter, whatever size you want. But it's recomendable to use int32.maxvalue as max size permitted.

File does not get updated on the extranet sharepoint 2013

I have a file in the _catalog folder, I modified the file (It is a javascript file), everythind works fine in the web application but in the extranet does not.

I was looking for solutions, but I did not find out anything. after a while one colleague helped me with that.

I had to publish the file to a major version. here are the steps.

The first step is to enter to system configuration, then click over master pages.

The second step is to find out our file, finally click on the arrow and click over the option publish to a major version.

not being able to create a web application sharepoint 2013

When you are not be able to create a web application. It can be caused by the shutdown time limit in the central administration application pool. The default time is 90 seconds, that means if there is a connection problem (slow connection) with the content database, the web app will not be created correctly.

You will see the content database created but not the site collection, and when you wanted to check their configurations in central admin. you will get an error message.

To solve this issue, you have to change the default time limit of the central admin application pool to a big number of seconds.

after that change you will be able to create your web app. I hope it could help you.

sharepoint app prompting for credentials

After I have configured the app environment, I set up the needed services and other stuff.Then I was trying to test a sharepoint app. I could not do that. when the app is loading, the prompt for credentials appears, and it continues requesting for credentials.

I thought I had made a bad configuration, but not. in some cases the feature loop back causes the problem. It is because of the domain configured for the apps, has the same hostname and the feature does not permit that.

Restore a site with a different version sharepoint 2013

When you want to restore a site that was created in a previous version, there are some options to restore the site successful.

You can update the sharepoint version in the first environment and then make a backup. but in my case the first enviroment does not exist anymore. in that case, my option was to modify the .bk file.

You can modify the file in a editor, like notepad ++. In the first line of the file the version is written, so when you change that number of version, then you are be able to restore the site.

Important: before make any change on your .bk file, do not forget to make a copy of your file.

Wsp does not get deployed sharepoint 2013

In some enviroments the sharepoint service (SPTimer ) is not configured in mode automatic, so when you deploy a wsp. It is never going to get deployed, so you have to run a stsadm command.

the command is: stsadm -o execadmsvcjobs.

run that command on sharepoint 2013 management shell. after you deployed the wsp solution.

I was trying to configure FBA in sharepoint 2013, in a extranet. but for some reason I could not configure it well.

I was following all the steps. the thing that I failed was to add the lines of the sql provider and the role manager. I have added differents lines in the service token application services and in the web application itself.

notice they have the same lines of code.

When they have the same code, the fba would be ready.

Central administration does not work after cloning sharepoint

After the sharepoint environment was cloned in a new server. the central administration did not work neither the other web applications.

I was looking for solutions, I tried to run the configuration wizard and try to connect again the central administration with the configuration database. at the beginning it seemed it worked but not.

At the end, the solution that works for me was to create a new central administration and try to replicate all the configurations similar to the production environment.

data attribute retrieve method doesn't work

when yo set data attribute html5 using this way:
$('#element').data('some-att-name', value);

it doesn't work to retrieve with this method: $("ul").find("[data-slide='" + current + "']"); so you need use the classic method to add a attribute:

$('<li>'+name+'</li>').attr('data-name',name);

this note appears in small letters in a stack overflow question.

If you are trying test tutorial of ruby on rails, ruby on rails, and after of write this line:

$ rails new blog

appears: Could not fetch specs from https://rubygems.org.

Is possible that your firewall or proxy, is denying the connection, to solve this problem i had to download the gems of rubygems.org and installing manually, only necessary.

the gems that you must install, are in the command line after you puts:

$ rails server

perhaps these sdoc-0.3.20.gem, jbuilder-1.2.0.gem, etc.

to install these gems, open command prompt with ruby on rails, redirect to folder location where you downloaded the gems, and puts:

$ gem install sdoc

that's all, some gems require other gems, so that first intalls the required gems.

finally continuing with the tutorial of ruby on rails.

ORA-01033

Mis aplicaciones no funcionaban, me salia este error. ORA-01033: iniciacion o detencion de oracle en curso. el problema fue porque habia apagado forzosamente el servidor, y al reiniciarlo me salia este error.

la solucion:

SQL> conn sqlplus as sysdba
ingresas la clave.
SQL>shutdown immediate
SQL>startup mount

la base de datos esta montada, lo que pasa es que al reiniciarla, algunos archivos del redo log se han corrompido, por lo que es necesario un recovery.

SQL>recover database;
SQL>alter database open;

resultará base de datos modificada, y listo.

Para comparar fechas en php, se utiliza el siguiente metodo: date_diff($fecha1,$fecha2);

yo lo probé asi:

    $fechapp1= date_create_from_format('d-m-Y', '03-08-2012');
    $fechapp2= date_create_from_format('d-m-Y', '08-08-2012');
    echo date_format($fechapp1, 'd-m-y')."...";
    echo date_format($fechapp2, 'd-m-y').",,,";
    $diferencia= date_diff($fechapp1, $fechapp2);
    echo $diferencia->format('%R%a dias');

y debe salir algo asi:

03-08-2012...08-08-2012,,,+5 dias

ahi se ve la diferencia de dias entre las dos fechas.

o algo parecido, lo erroneo es lo que esta marcado de rojo, para eso lo que tienes que hacer es:

ami me funcionó, lo mas seguro es que esto si funciona en xampp pero yo utilizo wamp, asi que pruebalo.
