हम सभी को क्रोध आता है इस तरह की घटनाओं को सुनकर, देखकर;; क्योंकि इस तरह की घटनाओं में दुसरे शामिल होते है |

सभी को हंसी आती है, आनंद आता है, कौतूहल जगता है ऐसे समय;; जब उन्हें पूरा समाज ही इस तरह के व्यभिचार की तरफ बढ़ता दीखता है, कुछ अलग नहीं दीखता है जब उन्हें, आम सी बात लगती है उन्हें |

रोना आता है हम सबको अपने आप पर क्योंकि यह तो सर्वत्र व्याप्त हो रहा है, संस्थाओं और समाज की बात कौन करे, बल्कि यह व्यभिचार/ जंगलीपन सोच तो हमारे स्वयं के अन्दर बहूत गहरे से मौजूद है | आज यदि देश के गृहमंत्री कह रहे है कि जो आज एक निर्दोष लड़की के साथ हुआ वह हमारे घर में भी हो सकता है तो यह निश्चित रूप से अपराधियों का डर नहीं बल्कि समाज के व्यक्तियों में लगातार उत्पन्न हो रही जंगली-सोच का भय है, क्योंकि यह सोच तो उच्च से लेकर निम्न वर्ग तक व्याप्त है, सर्वव्यापी, ला-ईलाज | .... अब यदि देश का गृहमंत्री समाज की गन्दी होती सोच से भय खा रहा है तो साधारण जनमानस की कौन कहे.. ??

इनके अतिरिक्त एक चौथी अवस्था मुझे और ज्ञात होती है, जो मुझे सिरे से क्रोधित करती है, हंसी की अवस्था भी उत्पन्न करती है, साथ में रोने का अंतिम विकल्प भी देती है... और वह है हमारे समाज के नामचीन महानुभावों, संस्थाओं आदि की बौद्धिक विवशता | समाज न कानून से चलता है, न जनता मात्र से और न ही धनाढ्यों की मनमर्जी से न किसी और संशाधन मात्र से, बल्कि यह सब तो मात्र सहयोगी तत्व है समाज के परिचालन के ;; वहीँ समाज तो हमेशा दूरदर्शियों द्वारा बताई गयी दिशा में मुड़ने को विवश हो जाता है | चाहे कोई भी युग हो, कोई भी महारथी हुआ हो... हमेशा उसने अपने अतीत पर गौरव किया है (आज भी अनेक संस्थाएं इसी अतीत के नाम पर चल पा रही हैं) | प्राचीन काल के अपने पूर्वजों में मर्यादा पुरुषोत्तम राम की बात करें, युधिष्ठिर इत्यादि भाइयों के समाज निर्माण योगदान की, अथवा वर्तमान ईतिहास के स्वामी विवेकानंद की बात करें अथवा महर्षि दयानंद की, सभी ने अतीत का सहारा लेकर वर्तमान को सुधारने में महती भूमिका निभायी है | स्वामी दयानंद ने तो नारा भी दिया है- "वेदों की ओर लौटो" |

लब्बो-लुआब यह कि क्या आज हमें फिर से अपने अतीत में देखने की जरूरत नहीं है ? आज जब समाज में हर तरफ अपराध, अन्याय, भागमभाग, व्यभिचार बढ़ रहा है, तो क्या हमें सच में सिर्फ तात्कालिक शोर मचाकर तुष्ट हो जाना चाहिए ? क्या हम सिर्फ कुछ बेलगाम, कु-सांस्कारिक लोगों को फांसी पर चढ़ाकर संतुष्ट हो लेंगे, अथवा इसके पीछे छुपे वास्तविक कारणों को समझना चाहेंगे भी | राष्ट्रवादी विचारकों, आधुनिक विचारकों, युवाओं सहित कई लोगों ने इस घटना के पीछे के अनेक कारण गिनाये है, कुछ ने कहा है कि यह फिल्मों, टी.वी. कार्यक्रमों में बढती अश्लीलता का परिणाम है तो कुछ का विचार है कि कानून सख्त होने चाहिए, कानून का भय होना चाहिए, कुछ ने फांसी की सजा की मांग की | कुछ लोगों को तो मैंने यह भी चर्चा करते सुना कि लडकियां इस तरह के हालातों के लिए स्वयं जिम्मेवार है, कुछ ने फतवा जारी करके ऐसी समस्याओं से निबटने की कोशिश करी, आदि, आदि |

पर देशवासियों, यकीन कीजिये और सोचिये क्या फांसी की सजा देने से ऐसे अपराध रुक जायेंगे ? क्या फिल्मों पर प्रतिबन्ध इसका समाधान है, क्या लड़कियों को फतवों के जरिये हमेशा बुरका पहनाने से इस समस्या पर रोक संभव है ? यह तो ठीक उसी प्रकार है, जैसे गहरे प्रेम में किसी व्यक्ति का दिल टूट गया हो और हम उसे जोड़ने के लिए उसपर 'प्लास्टर' लगायें अथवा उसके छाती पर गरम तेल, किसी एलोपैथ दवा जैसे मूव/ झंडू बाम लगायें | यह मात्र हास्य का विषय हो सकता है, रोग का ईलाज कदापि नहीं हो सकता है | वर्तमान स्थिति भी कुछ ऐसी ही है | साफ्टवेयर पेशे से जुड़े होने के कारण एक दो चीजों का उल्लेख करना चाहूँगा यहाँ, हमारे पेशे में साफ्टवेयर टेस्टिंग नाम का एक डिपार्टमेंट कार्य करता है, जिसका मुख्य कार्य किसी बनाये गए प्रोग्राम में गलतियों की जाँच करना होता है | जरा बारीकी से ध्यान दीजियेगा यहाँ, वह सिर्फ गलतियों को ठीक से पकड़ता है, सही नहीं करता है, सही करने के लिए तो अन्य दुसरे विभाग कार्य करते हैं | ,इसी प्रकार यदि देश में भी कोई दंगा हुआ, कोई घोटाला हुआ, कोई अन्य समस्या आयी तो हमारी माननीय सरकार भी इस तरह के विभागों से जाँच कराती है, कारणों पर और उनसे निवारण के उपायों पर भी | कभी किसी पूर्व न्यायाधीश से तो कभी सांसदों के समूह से, और दोस्तों कभी कभी तो जाँच इतनी छोटी- छोटी बातों पर बैठाई जाती है जिससे यह भान ही नहीं हो पाता है कि सरकार का वास्तविक काम क्या है ? उदाहरण स्वरुप सरकार को पता होता है कि किसी मंत्री ने दिल खोल कर घोटाला किया है, फिर भी वह उस पर सी.बी.आई. जाँच बैठाती है, किसी विशेष न्यायाधीश से कारणों की जाँच कराती है और वह विशेष आयोग अथवा एजेंसी एक भारी भरकम रिपोर्ट सरकार को देती है |

इस उद्धरण के पीछे मेरा स्पष्ट मंतव्य है कि जब छोटी- छोटी घटनाओं पर हमारी केंद्र सरकार अनेक तरह की जाँच बैठा देती है, तो इस तरह के व्यापक सामाजिक अपराधों पर उसने किसी विशेष न्यायाधीश से जाँच करने की जरूरत क्यों नहीं समझी ? क्या यह वास्तव में एक छोटा- मोटा अपराध मात्र है ? क्या लोगों का प्रदर्शन गुस्से में उठा ज्वार भर है अथवा इसका कोई सामाजिक परिप्रेक्ष्य भी है ? यदि हाँ, तो सरकार को इस तरह के सामाजिक बदलावों पर एक व्यापक जांच करानी चाहिए, इसके कारणों पर और निवारणों पर भी | पर हमारे माननीय गृह मंत्री तो संसद का विशेष सत्र बुलाने भर की जरूरत भी नहीं समझते है | दोगलापन देखिये हमारा, एक तरफ तो हमारे गृहमंत्री को अपनी बेटियों की चिंता सताती है कि उनके साथ भी कुछ ऐसा न हो जाये, वहीँ दूसरी तरफ वही गृहमंत्री इस पूरी घटना को सिर्फ कानून सख्त कर देने भर से हल करने का भ्रम पालते है |

क्या वाकई यह समस्या इतनी छोटी है, जिसे हम जैसे नीम हकीम भी अपने नुस्खों से ठीक करने का दम भरने लगे हैं ? इस विकराल सामाजिक समस्या पर समाज, कानून, बुद्धिजीवी समाज का दोगलापन तो देखिये, सब इसको ठीक करने का इतना सरल नुस्खा दे रहे है, जैसे इधर नुस्खा लगाया और उधर समस्या समाप्त | कुछ जाने माने बुद्धिजीवियों को तो इस समस्या के जोर पकड़ने पर ऐतराज भी होने लगा है, एक देश के जाने माने न्यायविद और प्रेस से सम्बंधित विद्वान ने इस समस्या को मिडिया में इतनी कवरेज मिलने पर उकताहट प्रकट की है, उन्होंने बाकायदा अपने ब्लॉग पर इस समस्या को ज्यादा कवरेज मिलने पर दबे स्वरों में निंदा की है | क्या करें वह भी, कुछ नया नहीं है न इसमें, रोज- रोज वही प्रदर्शन, माध्यम वर्ग का दर्द... अब बोरियत तो होगी ही न | एक अन्य नामी दबंग मंत्री ने भी इस सारी कवायद को मात्र पब्लिसिटी- स्टंट बताया है | और भी है कई लोग, जो इस तरह की भावना रखते है | कहने को हम विश्व के सबसे बड़े लोकतंत्र में निवास करते हैं दोस्तों, और लोकतंत्र का तो प्रथम गुण ही यही होता है कि हम किसी भी समस्या पर व्यापक वाद- विवाद करके उसका हल निकालें | पर यहाँ किसी समस्या पर आप दो दिन से ज्यादा चर्चा नहीं कर सकते, पुराना पड़ जाता है न | यहाँ के लोगों को, बुद्धिजीवियों को फुर्सत नहीं है किसी समस्या पर चर्चा करने हेतु, उसका समाधान ढूंढने हेतु | मामला बासी हो जाता है यार, कौन सुने वही रोज की टर्र- टर्र | हम अपने रोग का ईलाज करने को कौन कहे, अपने को रोगी मानने को ही तैयार नहीं है |

पर रोग तो है, और रोग इतना व्यापक और संक्रामक है कि रोज नए नए मरीजों की पहचान हो रही है | पर यह रोग अभी ला-ईलाज नहीं बना है दोस्तों और ऐसा भी नहीं है कि हम भारतवासी भाई बहन मिलकर इसका मुकाबला ही नहीं कर सकें | पर इसके लिए इक्का- दुक्का मरीजों पर ध्यान लगाने की बजाय इसका टीकाकरण अभियान चलाना होगा, वह भी लगातार | जिस प्रकार से पोलियो नामक भयानक बीमारी से हम भारतवासी भाई बहन मिलकर लड़ पाए हैं, ठीक उसी प्रकार से हम समाज में व्याप्त कुसंस्कारों से भी अवश्य ही लड़ेंगे | पर इसके लिए सबसे पहले हम सरकार से इस घटना की व्यापकता की तरफ ध्यान दिलाकर इसके लिए एक उच्च- स्तरीय न्यायिक आयोग और जे.पी.सी. के गठन की सामानांतर मांग करते है, जिससे हमें समाज में हो रहे इन नकारात्मक परिवर्तनों पर एक आधिकारिक दृष्टिकोण मिल सके | कृपया सरकार इस मामले में जो भी तात्कालिक निर्णय लेना हो, अवश्य ले परन्तु दीर्घकालिक रूप से इसकी व्यापकता पर दो उच्च स्तरीय समितियां जरूर बनाये जिसमे न्यायिक आयोग न्याय की दृष्टि से सामजिक बदलावों का अध्ययन करे और जे.पी.सी. सामाजिक और राजनीतिक रूप से | इस मामले में लोक सभा प्रतिपक्ष सुषमा स्वराज द्वारा संसद का विशेष सत्र बुलाने की मांग का मै पुनः समर्थन करना चाहूँगा, जिसे मीडिया ने शायद गौर ही नहीं किया | सुषमा जी का ध्यान मै उनकी पार्टी द्वारा स्मृति ईरानी और संजय निरुपम मामले में त्वरित प्रतिक्रिया की तरफ भी दिलाना चाहूँगा | जिस तरह से बी.जे.पी. ने तुरंत आनन फानन में अपनी नेता के आत्म सम्मान के लिए एक्शन लिया ठीक उसी प्रकार से वह दिल्ली रेप मामले सहित देश के इसी तरह के तमाम अन्य मामलों में भी तुरंत सरकार पर व्यापक दबाव बनाये और उसे दो सामानांतर आयोगों के गठन के लिए मजबूर करे, क्योंकि वह सिर्फ स्मृति ईरानी भर के लिए विपक्ष नहीं है बल्कि वह सम्पूर्ण भारतवर्ष की तरफ से संसद में विपक्ष की भूमिका में है | प्रमुख विपक्षी दल इस बात का ध्यान रखे कि यदि इस मुद्दे पर वह सरकार को उच्च-स्तरीय निष्पक्ष जाँच कराने और उसकी संस्तुतियों पर कार्रवाई करने के लिए राजी कर लेती है तो अयोध्या के राम उसे राम मंदिर न बना पाने के लिए अवश्य ही क्षमादान दे देंगे |

वहीँ कांग्रेस शासित यू.पी.ए. भी यह अच्छे से समझ ले कि सिर्फ कानून बना लेने भर से और डंडे के जोर से वह समाज को सुसाशन नहीं दे पायेगी, क्योंकि यदि ऐसा होता तो रामदेव सहित अन्ना हजारे का जनलोकपाल के लिए इतना विकराल आन्दोलन न खड़ा होता, वह इस बात को भी भली- भांति समझ ले कि दिल्ली में जो गुस्सा जनता का दिख रहा है, उसमे पिछली कई घटनाओं का मिश्रण है और जनता में यह कत्तई सन्देश न जाये कि यह सरकार तो बस मजबूरी का नाम है, सरकार इस से जैसे तैसे गला भी न छुडाये क्योंकि किस से किससे गला छुड़ाएगी वह, कभी काला धन, कभी जनलोकपाल तो कभी बलात्कार के लिए न्याय आन्दोलन | वस्तुतः लोग अब यह सोच रहे हैं कि सरकार तो कुछ गंभीरता से करना ही नहीं चाहती | तो अब अवसर है सरकार के पास जनता के लिए वास्तव में कुछ करने का | त्वरित कार्रवाई तुरंत जो होनी है वह तो हो ही और सामानांतर न्यायिक जाँच के साथ- साथ जे.पी.सी. की राजनीतिक और सामाजिक पड़ताल और उनकी संस्तुतियों पर कार्रवाई | यकीन करे शिंदे साहब, यह जनता के साथ साथ सोनिया मैडम के प्रति सबसे बड़ी वफादारी होगी क्योंकि मनरेगा, आर.टी.आई. तो अब पुराने पड़ चुके है, अगले चुनाव में राहुल बाबा लोगों को यह वादा तो कर पाएंगे कि हमने स्त्रियों को भयमुक्त समाज देने के लिए कुछ किया | एक दो और राजनीतिक लाभ आपको बता दे शिंदे साहब, इसमें कोई भी पार्टी, कोई भी जाति आरक्षण की मांग नहीं करेगी और सच्चर इत्यादि कमेटियों की तरह इनकी सिफारिशों को लागू करना मुश्किल और राजनीतिक नुकसानदायक कदापि नहीं होगा | अब भला कोई पोलियो- उन्मूलन का विरोध करेगा क्या ? ... तो शिंदे साहब, अपनी बेटियों को निर्भय कीजिये और कृपया लग जाइये इस वास्तविक कार्य में, भगवान, अल्लाह, ईसु आपकी मदद करे ।।

आशुतोष ( http://khabar.ibnlive.in.com/chat/answer/1103.html ) IBN7 (हिंदी सेवा) का कार्यभार देखतें है. उन्होंने चैट के द्वारा लोगों को मीडिया की भूमिका के बारे में बता रहे है, परन्तु उन्होंने अभी तक mithilesh द्वारा लिखे गए पत्र को प्रकाशित ही नहीं किया है, क्यों ??

आखिर प्रकाशित कैसे करते, जरा प्रश्न तो देखें ....

मुझे इस बात का पता नहीं है कि इस प्रश्न को आप प्रकाशित करेंगे या नहीं, पर आशुतोष जी इस बात को जरा खुलकर बताएं .. मीडिया के ऊपरी प्रबंधन पर सरकार का कितना भारी दबाव है इस आन्दोलन को न उभरने देने के लिए ?? जो मीडिया एक छोटी- से छोटी खबर को टी.आर.पी. के लिहाज से राष्ट्रीय खबर बना देता है, (चाहे किसी पूनम पाण्डेय की बात हो अथवा किसी मोहल्ले की सभा की बात हो, हर तरह की छोटी खबर ) क्या यह वास्तव में संभव है कि इतनी बड़ी खबर किसी अख़बार या चैनल में उभरकर नहीं आ रही है ?? निष्पक्ष जवाब दे कृपया ...

यह भी जरा सोचकर बताएं कि यदि सरकार आन्दोलनों से दबाव में आ सकती है तो क्या मीडिया में वास्तव में इतनी ताकत है कि वह जनता से जुड़े मुद्दों की अवहेलना कर सके. आशुतोष जी,... थोडा इस वाक्य पर ध्यान दीजियेगा- अन्ना आन्दोलन में इस बार तो इतनी ताकत है कि मीडिया को सफाई देनी पद रही है उसकी अपनी विश्वसनीयता के बारे में. ...सरकार ने यह दाव बहूत अच्छा चला है, उसने मीडिया को उलझा दिया है जनता से, क्या वास्तव में आप इस तथ्य को नकार पाएंगे ??

जम्मू कश्मीर मंे नेहरू के वंशज क्यों नहीं मिलते?

जम्मू कश्मीर मंे आए महीनों हो गए थे, एक बात अक्सर दिमाग में खटकती थी कि अभी तक नेहरू के खानदान का कोई क्यों नहीं मिला, जबकि हमने किताबों मंे पढ़ा था कि वह कश्मीरी पंडित थे। नाते-रिश्तेदारों से लेकर दूरदराज तक में से कोई न कोई नेहरू खानदान का तो मिलना ही चाहिए था। नेहरू राजवंश कि खोज में रियासत के पुराने खिलाड़ियों से मिला लेकिन जानकारी के नाम पर मोतीलाल नेहरू के पिता गंगाधर नेहरू का नाम ही सामने आया। बहती तवी के किनारे पहुंचकर एक दिन इसी बारे मंे सोच रहा था तो ख्याल आया कि जम्मू कश्मीर वूमेन कमीशन की सचिव हाफिजा मुज्जफर से मिला जाए, शायद वह कुछ मदद कर सके। अगले दिन जब आफिस से हाफीजा के पास पहुंचा तो वह सवाल सुनकर चौंक गई। बोली पंडित जी आप पंडित नेहरू के वंश का पोस्टमार्टम करने आए हैं क्या? कश्मीरी चाय का आर्डर देने के बाद वह अपने बुक रैक से एक किताब निकाली, वह थी रॉबर्ट हार्डी एन्डूज कि किताब ए लैम्प फार इंडिया- द स्टोरी ऑफ मदाम पंडित। उस किताब मंे तथाकथित गंगाधार का चित्रा छपा था जिसके अनुसार गंगाधर असल में एक सुन्नी मुसलमान थे जिनका असली नाम था ग्यासुद्दीन गाजी। एक फोटो को दिखाते हुए हाफीजा ने कहा कि इसकी पुष्टि के लिए नेहरू ने जो आत्मकथा लिखी है, उसको पढ़ना जरूरी है। नेहरू की आत्मकथा भी अपने रैक से निकालते हुए एक पेज को पढ़ने को कहा। इसमंे एक जगह लिखा था कि उनके दादा अर्थात् मोतीलाल के पिता गंगाधर थे। इसी तरह जवाहर की बहन कृष्णा ने भी एक जगह लिखा है कि उनके दादाजी मुगल सल्तनत बहादुरशाह जफर के समय मंे नगर कोतवाल थे।

अब इतिहासकारों ने खोजबीन की तो पाया कि बहादुरशाह जफर के समय कोई भी हिन्दू इतनी महत्वपूर्ण ओहदे पर नहीं था। और खोजबीन करने पर पता चला कि उस वक्त के दो नायब कोतवाल हिन्दू थे। नाम थे भाऊ सिंह और काशीनाथ जो कि लाहौरी गेट दिल्ली मंे तैनात थे। लेकिन किसी गंगाधर नाम के व्यक्ति का कोई रिकार्ड नहीं मिला है। नेहरू राजवंश की खोज मंे मेहदी हुसैन की पुस्तक बहादुरशाह जफर और 1857 का गदर में खोजबीन करने पर मालूम हुआ। गंगाधर नाम तो बाद मंे अंग्रेजों के कहर के डर से बदला गया था, असली नाम तो था ग्यासुद्दीन गाजी। जब अंग्रेजों ने दिल्ली को लगभग जीत लिया था तब मुगलों और मुसलमानों के दोबारा विद्रोह के डर से उन्होंने दिल्ली के सारे हिन्दुओं और मुसलमानों को शहर से बाहर करके तम्बुओं मंे ठहरा दिया था। जैसे कि आज कश्मीरी पंडित रह रहे हैं। अंग्रेज वह गलती नहीं दोहराना चाहते थे जो हिन्दू राजाओं- पृथ्वीराज चौहान ने मुसलमान आक्रांताओं को जीवित छोड़कर की थी, इसीलिये उन्होंने चुन-चुन कर मुसलमानों को मारना शुरू किया। लेकिन कुछ मुसलमान दिल्ली से भागकर पास के इलाकों मंे चले गये थे। उसी समय यह परिवार भी आगरा की तरफ कूच कर गया। नेहरू ने अपनी आत्मकथा मंे लिखा है कि आगरा जाते समय उनके दादा गंगाधर को अंग्रेजों ने रोककर पूछताछ की थी लेकिन तब गंगाधर ने उनसे कहा था कि, वे मुसलमान नहीं है कश्मीरी पंडित हैं और अंग्रेजों ने उन्हें आगरा जाने दिया बाकी तो इतिहास है ंही। यह धर उपनाम कश्मीरी पंडितों मंे आमतौर पाया जाता है और इसी का अपभ्रंश होते-होते और धर्मान्तरण होते-होते यह दर या डार हो गया जो कि कश्मीर के अविभाजित हिस्से मंे आमतौर पाया जाने वाला नाम है। लेकिन मोतीलाल ने नेहरू उपनाम चुना ताकि यह पूरी तरह से हिन्दू सा लगे। इतने पीछे से शुरूआत करने का मकसद सिर्फ यही है कि हमंे पता चले कि खानदानी लोगों कि असलियत क्या होती है? एक कप चाय खत्म हो गयी थी, दूसरी का आर्डर हाफीजा ने देते हुए के एन प्राण कि पुस्तक द नेहरू डायनेस्टी निकालने के बाद एक पन्ने को पढ़ने को दिया। उसके अनुसार जवाहरलाल मोतीलाल नेहरू के पुत्रा थे और मोतीलाल के पिता का नाम था गंगाधर। यह तो हम जानते ही हैं कि जवाहरलाल की एक पुत्राी थी इन्दिरा प्रियदर्शिनी नेहरू। कमला नेहरू उनकी माता का नाम था। जिनकी मृत्यु स्विटजरलैण्ड मंे टीबी से हुई थी। कमला शुरू से ही इन्दिरा के फिरोज से विवाह के खिलाफ थीं क्यों यह हमंे नहीं बताया जाता। लेकिन यह फिरोज गांधी कौन थे? फिरोज उस व्यापारी के बेटे थे जो आनन्द भवन मंे घरेलू सामान और शराब पहुंचाने का काम करता था। आनन्द भवन का असली नाम था इशरत मंजिल और उसके मालिक थे मुबारक अली। मोतीलाल नेहरू पहले इन्हीं मुबारक अली के यहाँ काम करते थे। सभी जानते हैं कि राजीव गांधी के नाना का नाम था जवाहरलाल नेहरू लेकिन प्रत्येक व्यक्ति के नाना के साथ ही दादा भी तो होते हैं। फिर राजीव गांधी के दादाजी का नाम क्या था? किसी को मालूम नहीं, क्योंकि राजीव गांधी के दादा थे नवाब खान। एक मुस्लिम व्यापारी जो आनन्द भवन मंे सामान सप्लाई करता था और जिसका मूल निवास था जूनागढ गुजरात मंे। नवाब खान ने एक पारसी महिला से शादी की और उसे मुस्लिम बनाया। फिरोज इसी महिला की सन्तान थे और उनकी माँ का उपनाम था घांदी (गांधी नहीं) घांदी नाम पारसियों मंे अक्सर पाया जाता था। विवाह से पहले फिरोज गांधी ना होकर फिरोज खान थे और कमला नेहरू के विरोध का असली कारण भी यही था। हमंे बताया जाता है कि फिरोज गांधी पहले पारसी थे यह मात्रा एक भ्रम पैदा किया गया है। इन्दिरा गांधी अकेलेपन और अवसाद का शिकार थीं। शांति निकेतन मंे पढ़ते वक्त ही रविन्द्रनाथ टैगोर ने उन्हें अनुचित व्यवहार के लिये निकाल बाहर किया था। अब आप खुद ही सोचिये कि एक तन्हा जवान लड़की जिसके पिता राजनीति मंे पूरी तरह से व्यस्त और माँ लगभग मृत्यु शैया पर पड़ी हुई हों थोड़ी सी सहानुभूित मात्रा से क्यों ना पिघलेगी?

वेदों में राष्ट्र आराधना

वैदिक साहित्य मंे भारतभूमि को मातृभूमि के रूप मंे चित्रित करके वन्दनीय कहा गया है। ऋग्वेद (1ध्118ध्8) मंे साधक प्रार्थना करता है कि मैं मातृभूमि, मातृभाषा और मातृ संस्कृति रूपी तीनों देवियों की आराधना करता हूं। वे सब हमंे ऐश्वर्य की ओर ले जायें। ऋग्वेद के एक अन्य मंत्रा (5ध्5ध्8) मंे भी इसी प्रकार की पा्रर्थना करते हुए ऋषि कहते हैं कि मातृभाषा, मातृसंस्कृति और मातृभूमि रूपी देवियां हम सब के लिए कल्याणकारी हों।

मातृभूमि भारतवर्ष के लिये सर्वस्व समर्पित करने की इच्छा और इसे दिव्य भूभाग बनाने का संकल्प वैदिक साहित्य मंे अनेक स्थलों मंे मिलता है। ऋषि कामना करते हैं कि, मातृभूमि के विकास, रक्षा, और उसके कल्याण हेतु आर्त्मोत्सर्ग करने के लिए सदातत्पर रहें। अथर्ववेद मंे एक अत्यंत प्रभावी प्रार्थना आयी है जिसमंे राष्ट्रजन मातृभूमि से सर्वकल्याण की कामना करते हुए कहता है कि हे मातृभूमि! तुम्हारे मंे उत्पन्न सब पदार्थ क्षय आदि रोगों से रहित हमंे प्राप्त हों। हमारी दीर्घ आयु हों। हम ज्ञान-विज्ञान से युक्त हों और मातृभूमि की सेवा के लिये सदा तत्पर रहे। (अथर्ववेद 12ध्1ध्629)राष्ट्रीय भावना का विकास तब ही होता है जब उस धरती से संस्कार गत और वंशानुगत सम्बन्ध हो। वेदों मंे प्रखर राष्ट्रवाद की उद्घोषणा है। ऋषि बार-बार यह आह्वान करते हैं कि हे देशभक्त वीरों! उठो, और तैयार हो जाओ। राष्ट्रध्वज अपने हाथों मे लेकर उन पर आक्रमण कर दो जो राष्ट्रघाती, राष्ट्रशत्राु हैं। (अथर्व 11ध्10ध्1) ऐसा आह्वान वह समुदाय नहीं कर सकता जो स्वयं बाहर से आया हो।

अथर्ववेद के एक अन्य मंत्रा मंे राष्ट्रजन समर्पित भाव से कहता है कि मैं अपनी इस मातृभूमि से विरोधी शक्तियों को समाप्त करने वाला हूँ। (12ध्1ध्54) एक-दो नहीं अनेक मंत्रों मंे ऋषि भारतभू को मातृभूमि कहते है। मातृभूमि केवल उस भूखण्ड पर जन्म लेने मात्रा से नहीं होती। अपितु अनन्त काल से जुड़े आत्मिक सम्बन्ध मातृभूमि का पवित्रा रिश्ता बनाते हैं। आर्य विदेशी होते तो भारतवर्ष को मातृभूमि नहीं कहते और न ही यह संकल्प लेते कि अपने प्राणों को देकर इस धरा की रक्षा करेंगे क्योंकि यह हमारी पुण्यभूमि और मातृभूमि है। ‘‘सावधान! तेरा राष्ट्र कभी अवगत न हो’’, यह एक महत्त्वपूर्ण वैदिक प्रार्थना है जो ऋग्वेद (10ध्173ध्1) यजुर्वेद (12ध्119 ओर अथर्ववेद 86ध्87ध्1) मंे एक ही भाव और एक ही पदावली मंे आयी है। इससे ही समझ लेना चाहिये कि वैदिक युग मंे इस पवित्रा धरा के प्रति भारतीयों मंे कितनी आस्था थी। आस्था केवल भौतिक संसाधनों की उपलब्धि से नहीं होती अपितु उस उज्जवल इतिहास और अतीत से होती है जो समय के अनन्त चक्र से वर्तमान पीढ़ी को जोड़ता है। यही राष्ट्रवाद है। साथ ही आर्यो के विशुद्ध भारतीय होने का प्रमाण था। भारत के अतीत से वर्तमान पीढ़ी का रिश्ता क्या है? इस बात को भी अथर्ववेद मंे प्रकट किया गया है। ऋषि कहते हैं कि सुख और कल्याण को चाहते हुए स्वर्गीय जीवन वाले ऋषियों ने पहले तय और दीक्षा की शरण ली थी। उसके बाद ही राष्ट्रीय बल और ओज उत्पन्न हुए। (अथर्ववेद 19ध्141ध्1) इस मंत्रा से ही यह ज्ञात होता है कि ऋषियों की तपोभूमि भारत ही थी और उनके ज्ञान तथा सामाजिक संरचना नियोजन ने राष्ट्र को संस्कारित किया जिसे भारत कहा जाता है।

वेदों के वर्णित मंत्रों के आधार पर पश्चिमी इतिहासकारों का यह तर्क निरर्थक है कि, भारत मंे राष्ट्रवाद का जन्म ही नहीं हुआ था और भारत देश के प्रति किसी भी आस्था भाव का चित्राण वेदों मंे नहीं है। वैदिक भारत पूरी तरह से राष्ट्रवाद का एक रूप था। ऋषियो ंका ज्ञान और भारत भूमि के प्रति अनन्य श्रद्धाभाव राष्ट्रवाद के प्रेरक बल हैं। भारतवर्ष आर्यो की मातृभूमि थी। इस कथन को हमारे वेद भी प्रमाणित करते है।

विदेशी पंथीय भावना का दुराग्रह

भारतेतर पंथीय आस्थायें पृथ्वी पर मानव की उत्पत्ति को ‘आदम’ से जोड़ती है। कोई भी विदेशी लेखक यह स्वीकार करने को तैयार नहीं है कि भारत मंे सभ्यता का विकास लाखों वर्ष पूर्व हो चुका था। उनका विश्वास है कि ईसा से 5463 वर्ष पूर्व ‘आदम’ को ईश्वर ने पृथ्वी पर भेजा जो मानव समुदाय की उत्पत्ति का कारण है। यह विश्वास विज्ञान सम्भव न होने के पश्चात भी भारतीय सभ्यता क कालखण्ड को गौण दिखाने के लिये एक हथियार के रूप में प्रयोग किया जाता है।

अंजीलर (बाइबिल) मंे मानवी सभ्यता के उदयकाल को 7474 वर्ष (गणना सन् 2011 से) पुरानी बताई गई है।

उपरोक्त पंथीय विश्वास को देखते हुए कोई भी पश्चिमी यह स्वीकार करने को तैयार नहीं था कि उनके धर्म ग्रन्थ मंे लिखे कालखण्ड से भी पहले उच्च सभ्यता भारत मंे थी। यदि भारतीय सभ्यता की प्राचीनता को अस्वीकार करना था तो आयो्र के विदेशी होने के सिद्धान्त का प्रतिपादन आवश्यक था। आश्चर्य यह है कि बिना किसी ठोस आधार के कल्पनाओं मंे इस सिद्धान्त का निर्माण हुआ और हमारे अनेक प्रतिष्ठित व्यक्ति भी यह मानने लगे कि आर्य बाहर से आये हैं।

भारतीय काल गणना के अनुसार सृष्टि की उत्पत्ति को 1ए 97ए 29ए 40ए 111 वर्ष हो चुके है। (सन् 2011 की गणना पर) 4ए32ए00ए000 सौर वर्ष का एक ब्रह्यदिन माना जाता है तो जो 14 भवन्तर मे विभक्त है। वर्तमान मंे सातवां भवन्तर चल रहा है। इस भवन्तर के 27 चतुर्थ युग बोल चुके हैं। 28 वां चतुर्थ युग चल रहा है। इसके भी सतयुग, ़़त्रोतायुग और द्वापर युग व्यतीत हो चुके है। वर्तमान मंे कलयुग चल रहा है। वेदों और ज्योतिष षास्त्रा मंे कालगणना के अन्य प्रसंग मिल जाते हैं। जिससे यह प्रमाणित होता है कि भारतीय संस्कृति लाखों वर्ष पुरानी है। जैसे कि हमंे पहले ही कहा है कि यूरोपीय जातियां यह स्वीकार नहीं कर सकती थी कि बाइबिल मंे उल्लेखित ‘आदम’ के पृथ्वी आगमन के समय से पूर्व कोई समृद्ध संस्कृति पृथ्वी पर आ चुकी थी। अतः उन्होंने अपने पंथीय विश्वास के आधार पर भारतीय सभ्यता को पांच हजार पहली बताया ओर आर्यो को विदेशी।

सर विलियम जौंस का ने सन् 1786 मंे बंगाल एसियेटिक सोसाइटी के सम्मेलन मे भाषा के आधार पर किसी ऐसे निश्चित स्थल की परिकल्पना की कि जहां से पलायन हुआ और फिर ग्रीक, लेटिन, पारसी और संस्कृत भाषा का उदय हुआ। इसी आधार पर मैक्समुलर ने आर्यो के मध्य एशिया का सिद्धान्त निकाला। मैक्समुलर जर्मनी का एक आस्थावान ईसाई था। अतः उसने यह लिख दिया कि वैदिक सूक्तों की अत्यधिक संख्या वचकानी, दुरूह और गंवार है। इस आधार पर यह निश्चित कर दिया गया कि वेद चरवाहों द्वारा गाये जाने वाले गीत थे जो ईसा से 1500 या 2000 वर्ष पूर्व संग्रहित किये गये। निश्चित तौर किसी भी अवधारणा के विकास के लिये ठोस प्रमाणों और पूर्ण विवेचन की आवश्यकता होती है। आर्यो के विदेशी होने के सिद्धान्त मंे केवल बाइबिल की कालगणना को आधार माना गया और हीन भावना से ग्रस्त एक चालाक वर्ग ने अपनी अप्रमाणित अवधारणा को ही इस प्रकार प्रस्तुत किया कि वह भारतीय इतिहास का अनिवार्य अध्याय बन गई है।

भामाशाह की 465 वीं जयन्ती (28.6.2012 ई0)

1. आपका जन्म अलबर मंे हुआ था। अपने पिता की तरह आप भी राणा प्रताप परिवार के लिए समर्पित थे।

2. आप जैन धर्म के अनुयायी थे और परम देशभक्त और अद्भूत दानी थे। आप व्यापार करते थे।

3. आपके पास स्वयं का तथा पुरखों का कमाया हुआ अपार धन था। उन्होंने यह सब महाराणा प्रताप के चरणों मंे अर्पित कर दिया।

4. इतिहासकारों के अनुसार भामाशाह ने 25 लाख रूपए (इस समय यह रकम कई अरब बैठेगी) तथा 20000 अशर्फी महाराणा प्रताप को दी।

5. महाराणा प्रताप ने आखों मंे आसूं भरकर भामाशाह जैन को गले से लगा लिया।

6. भामाशाह जैन से प्राप्त धन से महाराणा प्रताप ने सेना को संगठित करके अपने क्षेत्रा को मुक्त करा लिया।

7. परम देशभक्त भामाशाह जैन ने अकबर के दरबार मंे मनचाहा पद लेने का प्रस्ताव ठुकरा दिया।

8. अपनी मृत्यु से पूर्व उन्होनें अपने पुत्रा को आदेश दिया कि, वह महाराणा प्रताप के पुत्रा के साथ वैसा ही व्यवहार करे, जैसा उन्होंने महाराणा प्रताप के साथ किया हैं

9. भामाशाह जैन की सोच, चिन्तन, मानसिकता अति सराहनीय व प्रशंसनीय है। वे महाराणा प्रताप के साथ सदैव याद किए जाएंगे।

10. उनकी स्मृति को चिर स्थायी रखने के लिए ‘‘भामाशाह जैन दानवीर पुरस्कार’’ आरम्भ करने का विचार है। जो सज्जन इसमंे रूचि रखते हैं। वे कृप्या निम्न नाम, पते, मोबाइल पर सम्पर्क, भेंट वार्ता करें।

क्यों करते हैं हम ‘नमस्ते’?

संस्कृत मंे नमस्ते का एक अर्थ है- ‘नमः $ ते’ अर्थात् आपको नमस्कार है, दूसरा अर्थ है- ‘न मम इति नमः’ अर्थात् मेरा कुछ नहीं। हमारा किसी से मिलना तभी सार्थक है जब हमारे दिल परस्पर मिलें, हम एक दूसरे की उन्नति मंे सहायक हों। अर्थात् हममें परस्पर स्नेहभाव, आत्मभाव हो। इसी का संकेत देते हुए जब हम मिलते हैं तब दोनों हाथों को हृदय के सामने परस्पर जोड़कर सिर झुकाते हुए कहते हैं ‘नमस्ते’।

इसका आध्यात्मिक अर्थ तो और भी सुंदर और गहरा है। व्यक्ति चाहे किसी भी जाति, वर्ण, धर्म अथवा देश का हो, हम सबमंे एक ही परमेश्वर का निवास है। मनुष्य मंे छिपे हुये उस ‘ईश्वरत्व’ का स्मरण करते हुए हम नमस्ते करते हैं। कभी हम नमस्ते करते समय आँखे बंद भी कर लेते हैं अर्थात् बाहर से रंग, रूप कैसा भी हो परंतु अन्तर्दृष्टि से सबमंे ईश्वर को देखने का अनोखा नजरिया भारतीय संस्कृति की विशालता और महानता का ही तो द्योतक है ।

आज प्रतिस्पर्धात्मक युग मंे सभी व्यक्ति आय अर्जित करने के साथ, स्वस्थ, हृष्ट-पुष्ट सुन्दर दिखकर, अपना विकास भी चाहते हैं। इस हेतु वे जिम एवं योग की ओर आकर्षित हो रहे हैं। कई व्यक्तियों मंे गलत अवधारणा है कि जिम जाने से उनकी बढ़ी मांसपेशियाँ फिटनेस को प्रदर्शित करती है। विचारणीय बात यह है कि व्यक्ति की फिटनेस मांसपेशियों से नहीं वरन् उसके समग्र विकास (शारीरिक, मानसिक, आध्यात्मिक) से प्रदर्शित होती है। जिम और योग इन दोनों मंे से श्रेष्ठ कौन? इसी मुद्दे पर प्रस्तुत यह रिपोर्ट::

2. जिम जाने वाले युवाओं का मन विकासग्रस्त, कामुक, फैशनपरस्त एवं अति चंचल पाया गया जबकि नियमित योग करने वालों का मन पवित्रा, तनाव रहित, संयमी एवं एकाग्र पाया गया।

3. योगासनों से भीतरी ग्रंथियां अपना काम अच्छी तरह कर सकती है जो युवावस्था बनाएँ रखने एवं वीर्य रक्षा मंे सहायक होती हैं।

योग व जिम की गतिविधियों पर हुए एक अनुसंधान के मुताबिक ब्ंसवतपम बवेज (कैलोरी मूल्य) का तुलनात्मक अध्ययन करने पर पाया कि- एक 150 पौंड वजनी व्यक्ति के 30 मिनट हठ योग करने पर 85 कैलोरी ऊर्जा जलती है, वहीं 30 मिनट जिम की साधारण गतिविधियाँ जैसे म्ससपचजपबंस जतंपदमतए तनददपदह ंदक बलबसपदह करने से क्रमशः 126, 340 और 340 कैलोरी जलती हैं

योेग के बाद शवासन आदि यौगिक क्रियाओं से कुछ ऊर्जा पुनः वापस प्राप्त हो जाती है। लेकिन जिम मंे इतनी मात्रा मंे नष्ट हुई ऊर्जा अधिकाशंतः वापस प्राप्त न होने के कारण शरीर में कमजोरी आ जाती है जिससे जल्दी सिर मंे चक्कर आना, नाक से रक्त बहना, जल्दी थकना आदि होने की सम्भावना बढ़ जाती है।

अब आप स्वयं ही निर्णय कर सकते हैं कि आप अपनी व्यस्त दिनचर्या मंे से अपना अमूल्य समय किसे देंगे? निःसंदेह योग ही मानव के सम्पूर्ण व्यक्तित्व-शारीरिक, मानसिक एवं आध्यात्मिक विकास कर सकता है। अतः आज से ही नियमित यौगिक क्रियाओं योगासनों को करने की आदत बना लीजिये।

क्यों जलाते हैं हम ‘ज्योति’?

प्रकाश ज्ञान का प्रतीक हे और अंधकार अज्ञान का। हम समस्त दुःखों के मूल अज्ञान अधंकार से सम्पूर्ण सुखों के òोत ज्ञान-प्रकाश की ओर चलें इसी भावना का स्मरण करते हुए हम प्रतीक रुप मंे ज्योति जलाते हैं। अन्तर की शाश्वत संपत्ति के रुप मंे ज्ञान का आदर करते हुए हम दीप जलाते हैं। मनुष्य अंधेरे मंे ही धोखा खा जाता है, प्रकाश मंे नहीं। अज्ञान मंे ही हमसे गलत निर्णय, गलतियाँ हो जाती हैं, ज्ञान मंे नहीं। इसलिए मंगल कार्यो मंे प्रमुख कार्यो मंे हमारी बुद्धि योग्य निर्णय करे, भूल न करे-इसी भावना के साथ हम ज्ञान-प्रकाश की ज्योति जलाते है। वैसे तो बल्ब अथवा टयूबलाईट से भी अंधेरा नष्ट होता है पर दीये के पीछे सूक्ष्म आध्यात्मिक अर्थ छिपा है। दीये मंे रहता तेल हमारी दुर्वासनाओं तथा दुर्विचारों का प्रतीक है। जब जीवन मंे ज्ञान की ज्योति जलती है- दुर्वासनाएँ, दुर्विचार नष्ट हो जाते हैं। ज्योत की लौ सदा उठी रहती है, इसी प्रकार हम भी विचारों व कर्मो से सदा उन्नत होते रहें यह भी भावना है। एक दीये से अनत दीये जलाये जा सकते है फिर भी दीये के प्रकाश मंे कोई कटौती नहीं होती, इसी प्रकार ज्ञान बांटने से कम नहीं होता बल्कि और अधिक बढ़ता है।

ईश्वर ज्ञानस्वरूप हैं। इसलिये हम प्रकाश की ज्ञान के रूप मे पूजा करते हैं और ज्योति जलाते समय कहते हैंः- ‘‘दीपज्योति परब्रह्य दीपज्योति जनादर्नः। दीपो हरति मंे पापं संध्यादीपं नमोऽस्तुते’’। दीपज्योति परब्रह्य, परम तत्व है, दीपज्योति साक्षात् कल्याणकारी ईश्वर है। दीप हमारे पापों को, दुर्विचारों को हरता है इसलिये दीप को नमस्कार ंहै।

प्रणब दा ... सफल राजनीति से आदर्श चुनौतियों तक ||

जब अधिकाधिक लोग राजनीति के बारे में यह कहते नहीं थकते है कि "राजनीति में विश्वास की जगह नहीं होती", उन सक्रिय लोगों को भावी महामहीम प्रणब मुखर्जी के धैर्य और विश्वास से सीख लेनी चाहिए. सीख लेने की जरूरत न सिर्फ कांग्रेस के लोगो को है, बल्कि इस घटनाक्रम से भाजपा के अति सक्रिय राजनेता एवं संभावित प्रधानमंत्री पद के उम्मीदवार नरेन्द्र मोदी को भी जरूरत है, क्योंकि धैर्य और विश्वास न रखने का ही नतीजा है कि वह अपने मातृ- संगठन राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ की चरम नाराजगी और अपनी पार्टी भाजपा में भी नाराजगी के आखिरी मुहाने पर खड़े है. निश्चित रूप से धैर्य ममता बनर्जी को भी रखने की जरूरत है, जिन्होंने अपनी व्यक्तिगत राजनीति की जल्दबाजी में अलग- थलग होने में कोई कसर नहीं छोड़ी है और साथ ही साथ मुलायम सिंह यादव की अंगड़ाई को भी धैर्य रखने की जरूरत थी, जिसमे उन्होंने तुरुप का पत्ता बनने की कोशिश में शायद अपनी विश्वसनीयता को ही दाव पर लगा दिया.

राजनीति की हर एक व्याख्या इतिहास से शुरू होती है. इससे पहले कि हम प्रणब मुखर्जी की राजनीति की सुलझी चालों की बात करें, हमें यह जान लेना होगा कि प्रणब आखिर राजनीति में इतने अहम् क्यों है, विशेष रूप से कांग्रेस जैसी पार्टी में जिसमे हमेशा से एक ही परिवार का राजनैतिक वर्चस्व रहा है, उसके लिए प्रणब मुखर्जी अपरिहार्य कैसे हो गए ? एक सर्वोत्कृष्ट राजनेता, अक्लमंद प्रशाशक, चलता फिरता शब्दकोष, इतिहासकार- लेखक एवं पिछले ८ वर्षों से कांग्रेस पार्टी की डूबती नाव के खेवनहार इत्यादि उपनामों से नवाजे गए श्री मुखर्जी का जन्म १९३५ को बीरभूम जिले के मिराती नमक गावं में हुआ था. पिता कामदा किंकर मुखर्जी कांग्रेस के सक्रिय सदस्य एवं ख्यात स्वतंत्रता सेनानी थे. उनके पिता पश्चिम बंगाल विधान परिषद् के करीब १४ साल तक सदस्य भी रहे. उनके पदचिन्हों पर चलते हुए प्रणब मुखर्जी ने अपना राजनैतिक जीवन १९६९ से राज्य सभा सदस्य के रूप में आरम्भ किया. १९७३ में उद्योग मंत्रालय में राज्य मंत्री के तौर पर कार्य किया. उनका मंत्री के रूप में उल्लेखनीय कार्यकाल १९८२ से १९८४ के बीच रहा जिसमे युरोमनी पत्रिका ने उन्हें विश्व के सर्वश्रेष्ठ वित्त मंत्री के रूप में मूल्यांकन किया. इसके बाद श्री मुखर्जी ने कांग्रेसी सरकार में अनेक विभागों में मंत्री के रूप में कार्य किया. राजनीति में कांग्रेस पार्टी में श्री मुखर्जी की लोकप्रिय नेता की छवि सदा से बनी रही है. कांग्रेस पार्टी की आतंरिक राजनीति की बात करें तो, श्री मुखर्जी के हाशिये पर जाने की कहानी भी लगातार चर्चा में बनी रही. इंदिरा गाँधी के शाशनकाल के दौरान नंबर दो की पोजीशन हासिल करने वाले श्री मुखर्जी का राजनीतिक वनवास श्रीमती इंदिरा गाँधी की आकस्मिक मृत्यु के बाद शुरू हुआ. अपनी सर्वविदित छवि के अनुरूप कांग्रेस पार्टी के परिवार-पूजक नेता श्री राजीव गाँधी को प्रधानमंत्री पद की गद्दी सौपना चाहते थे और बाद में हुआ भी वही. श्री मुखर्जी वही पर मात खा बैठे और अपनी योग्यता और बुद्धिमता को उन्होंने राजनीति समझ लिया. कहा जाता है कि श्री मुखर्जी के उस समय के रवैये को नेहरु-गाँधी परिवार आज तक नहीं भुला पाया और श्री मुखर्जी लगातार अपनी अवहेलना झेलते भी रहे. श्री मुखर्जी के योग्य होने के बावजूद पहले राजीव गाँधी प्रधानमंत्री बने फिर उसके बाद पी.वी.नरसिम्हा राव और हद तो तब हो गयी जब गाँधी परिवार के वर्तमान नेतृत्व ने श्री मुखर्जी के कनिष्ठ रहे डॉ. मनमोहन सिंह को प्रधानमंत्री की कुर्सी पर बैठा दिया और श्री मुखर्जी के मन में हर घाव गहरा होता गया. पर उन्होंने धैर्य और विश्वास का दामन लम्बे समय तक नहीं छोड़ा. यहाँ तक कि कई छोटे बड़े मंत्री डॉ. मुखर्जी को आँख भी दिखाते रहे, कई अहम् फैसलों में उनकी सलाह को ताक पर रखा गया पर उन्होंने विश्वास का दामन और अपनी योग्यता को निखारना जारी रखा, उन्हें अपनी अंतिम जंग जो जीतनी थी.

वर्तमान राजनीति की बारीक़ समझ रखने वाले इस बात पर एक मत है कि कांग्रेस पार्टी पहले प्रणब मुखर्जी के नाम पर भी सिरे से असहमत थी.

सोनिया गाँधी प्रणब के नाम पर लगातार नाक- भौं सिकोड़ती रही है. अब से नहीं बल्कि जबसे मनमोहन सिंह प्रधानमंत्री बने है तब से, या शायद उससे पहले से ही, क्योंकि पहले कांग्रेस पार्टी के नाम पर सोनिया गाँधी ऐसा राष्ट्रपति चाहती थी जो २०१४ में कांग्रेस की भावी सम्भावना राहुल गाँधी को जरूरत पड़ने पर उबार सके, अपनी गरिमा के विपरीत जाकर भी, इसीलिए कुछ कमजोर नाम भी लगातार चर्चा में बने रहे. यदि कांग्रेस पार्टी की मंशा साफ़ होती तो प्रणब मुखर्जी के नाम की सार्वजानिक घोषणा कभी की हो चुकी होती और राष्ट्रपति चुनाव की इतनी छीछालेदर तो नहीं ही होती. भला हो ममता बनर्जी का जो उन्होंने कांग्रेस को तो कम से कम इस बात के लिए मजबूर किया कि वह अपने प्रत्याशियों के नाम तो बताये. इसी कड़ी में प्रणब का नाम कांग्रेस की तरफ से दावेदार के रूप में उभरा, पर उनके साथ और भी एक नाम उभरा जिससे यह साफ़ जाहिर हो गया कि कांग्रेस पार्टी अभी भी प्रणब का विकल्प खोज रही थी. सीधी बात कहें तो प्रणब मुखर्जी भी अपनी दावेदारी को लेकर बाहरी दलों की तरफ से ज्यादा आश्वस्त थे, परन्तु कांग्रेस की तरफ से बिलकुल भी नहीं. यहाँ तक कि उनके संबंधो की बदौलत भाजपा के कई नेता जैसे मेनका गाँधी, यशवंत सिन्हा इत्यादि सार्वजनिक रूप से उन्हें अपनी पसंद बता चुके थे, परन्तु प्रणब मुखर्जी अपनी धूर-विरोधी सोनिया गाँधी को कैसे भूल जाते, जिसने श्री मुखर्जी की राजनीतिक संभावनाओं पर गहरा आघात किया था. अब ले- देकर श्री मुखर्जी को राजनीति के आखिरी पड़ाव पर राष्ट्रपति पद की एक ही उम्मीद बची थी, और उसे वह किसी भी हाल में हासिल करने की मन ही मन ठान चुके थे.

इसी क्रम में श्री मुखर्जी ने अपने संबंधो का जाल बिछाया और राष्ट्रपति चुनाव के समय से काफी पहले इसकी चर्चा अलग-अलग सुरों से शुरू करा दी. इसमें श्री मुखर्जी खुद भी सधे शब्दों में राय व्यक्त करने से नहीं चुके और अपने को मीडिया, अन्य राजनैतिक मित्रों के माध्यम से चर्चा में बनाये रक्खा. श्री मुखर्जी सोनिया गाँधी की पिछली चालो से बेहद सावधान थे, जिसमे पिछले राष्ट्रपति चुनाव में श्रीमती गाँधी अपनी मर्जी का प्रत्याशी उठाकर कांग्रेसियों के सामने रख दिया और क्या मजाल कि कोई कांग्रेसी चूँ भी करता कि राष्ट्रपति पद के उम्मीदवार के लिए वर्तमान राष्ट्रपति महोदया श्रीमती प्रतिभा पाटिल से भी योग्य उम्मीदवार हैं. श्रीमती सोनिया गाँधी इस बार भी वही दाव चलने की कोशिश में थी और शायद वह कोई छुपा हुआ उम्मीदवार लाती भी जो की महामहीम की कुर्सी की शोभा जरूर बढाता परन्तु सोनिया गाँधी की राजनीतिक महत्वाकांक्षाओं को येन-केन-प्रकारेण पूरा ही करता, भले उसकी गरिमा सुरक्षित रहती अथवा नहीं. प्रणब दा इस तथ्य से भली- भांति परिचित थे कि यदि सोनिया ने किसी गदहे को राष्ट्रपति पद के उम्मीदवार के लिए प्रस्तावित कर दिया तो कांग्रेस की समस्त राजनीति सिर्फ उसकी हाँ में हाँ ही मिलाती नजर आती, फिर उसके बाद प्रणब दा लाख सर पटकते, कुछ नहीं होता, बल्कि उनको बागी कह कर नटवर सिंह, जगन मोहन, हरीश रावत जैसी कार्रवाई का सामना करना पड़ता, और गाना पड़ता "अब पछताए होत क्या जब चिड़िया चुग गयी खेत" |

पर बंगाली बाबु इस बार बेहद सावधान थे, अपनी छवि लगातार खेवनहार की बनाये रखते हुए, उन्होंने सोनिया की किसी चाल को कोई मौका ही नहीं दिया. जब तक सोनिया कुछ समझती तब तक तो गेद को बंगाली बाबु ईडन-गार्डेन की सीमा रेखा के बाहर भेज चुके थे और इस खेल में मुलायम ने दादा का भरपूर साथ दिया. आश्चर्य न करें आप लोग, है तो यह अनुमान ही परन्तु मुलायम जैसा राजनैतिक पहलवान ममता जैसी बिगडैल नेता के साथ प्रेस- कांफ्रेंस करता है और तीन में से दो बेवकूफी भरे नाम का प्रस्ताव करता है. मुलायम जैसे राजनीतिज्ञ को क्या यह आम आदमी को भी पता है कि मनमोहन को राष्ट्रपति बनाने का मतलब उनका प्रधानमंत्री के रूप में नाकाम होना है और कांग्रेस इसे सरेआम स्वीकार करेगी, वह भी ममता- मुलायम के कहने पर यह तो असंभव बात थी. सोमनाथ चटर्जी एक मृतप्राय राजनीतिज्ञ है और उनका नाम सिर्फ बंगाली प्रतीक के रूप में घसीटा गया. ले देकर बचे डॉ. कलाम. मुलायम यह भली- भांति जानते थे कि कलाम की उम्मीदवारी बेहद मजबूत होगी और कांग्रेस उसके मुकाबले में अपने सबसे मजबूत प्रत्याशी को ही मैदान में उतारेगी, और प्रणब मुखर्जी जैसा मजबूत और स्वीकार्य नेता भला कौन होता. बस तस्वीर पानी की तरफ साफ़ हो गयी और जैसे ही कांग्रेस ने दबाव में आकर प्रणब मुखर्जी को प्रत्याशी बनाया, राजनीति के माहिर मुलायम ने तगड़ा दाव खेलते हुए और बिना देरी किये उनके बिना शर्त समर्थन की घोषणा कर दी. इससे पहले प्रत्याशी घोषित करने का जबरदस्त दबाव सपा ने अपने नेताओं के माध्यम से कांग्रेस पर बनाया कि "कांग्रेस अपने प्रत्याशी को लेकर खुद ही भ्रम में है, और उसे प्रणब के नाम की जल्द से जल्द घोषणा करनी चाहिए". यही नहीं बल्कि सपा ने जबरदस्त शंशय बनाते हुए कांग्रेस को यह साफ़ कर दिया कि वह आसानी से उसके किसी भी उम्मीदवार का समर्थन नहीं करेगी. परन्तु प्रणब के नाम की सार्वजानिक घोषणा होते ही सपा ने बहूत ही आसानी से उसे समर्थन दे दिया.

दोस्तों, अब मुझे यह बात बिलकुल समझ नहीं आ रही है कि ममता बनर्जी राजनीति के इस खेल में सिर्फ इस्तेमाल हुई है अथवा उन्होंने सोनिया के वर्चस्व को तोड़ने की सार्थक पहल करते हुए अपना राजनैतिक नुकसान जानबूझकर किया है. परन्तु कोई बात नहीं ममता दीदी, आप अपने खेल में सफल रहीं और दादा ने आपको अपनी बहन संबोधित करके आपका सार्वजनिक आभार भी व्यक्त किया है. पर यदि आप इस खेल से अनजान थी तो मुलायम सिंह को भूलियेगा नहीं, उनके पलीते में चिंगारी दिखाने के लिए कमसे कम आप २०१४ लोकसभा चुनाव का इंतजार तो कर ही सकती हैं.

इसी कड़ी में डॉ. कलाम ने भी अपने पत्ते नहीं खोलकर बहूत ही परिपक्व नागरिक होने का सबूत पेश किया है, क्योंकि यदि इस खेल में आप घसीटे जाते तो भारत की जनता अपने आप को अपमानित महसूस करती, क्योंकि संविधान के अनुसार राष्ट्रपति के चुनाव की एक प्रक्रिया है जिसे राजनीतिक दल एक दायरे में रह कर और बिना शोर- शराबे के पूरा करते हैं. परन्तु कांग्रेस पार्टी की आतंरिक राजनीति से यदि गलती हुई है और उस गलती के फलस्वरूप आज देश का प्रत्येक नागरिक इस चुनाव से सीधा जुड़ा महसूस कर रहा है, तब कांग्रेस पर जन भावना की अनदेखी करके जनता का अनादर ही नहीं बल्कि लोकतंत्र का सीधा अपमान करने का भी आरोप लगता, क्योंकि आपका व्यक्तित्व राजनीति से परे है. जनता से जुडाव की बात करें तो डॉ. कलाम आसमान का दर्जा रखते है, और प्रणब मुखर्जी एक सम्मानित नेता होने के बावजूद उनसे कोषों पीछें है, न सिर्फ एक व्यक्ति के तौर पर बल्कि एक सार्वजनिक छवि के तौर पर भी, साफ़ सुथरी छवि के तौर पर भी, देश को दिए गए उनके सीधे योगदान के तौर पर भी, त्याग के तौर पर भी और यही नहीं वरन राष्ट्रपति के पिछले कार्यकाल में डॉ. कलाम ने यह साबित कर दिखाया कि भारत का राष्ट्रपति किसे कहते है, उसे कैसा होना चाहिए, जन- जन से कैसे जुड़कर काम किया जाता है.

प्रणब दा की असली चुनौतिया सिर्फ सोनिया गाँधी को पटखनी देने की ही नहीं है, उसमे तो वह शत- प्रतिशत कामयाब ही रहे हैं, वरन प्रणब मुखर्जी को डॉ. कलाम के सफ़र को ही आगे बढ़ाना होगा, जनभावनाओं के साथ जुड़कर चलना होगा और अलोकतांत्रिक और जनता-विरोधी कार्यों से बचना होगा. गौरतलब है पिछले दिनों अन्ना हजारे के जनांदोलन में डॉ. प्रणब मुखर्जी ने जनभावनाओं को दबाने का काम किया था, चाहे अन्ना हजारे की गिरफ़्तारी हो, किरण बेदी को डांटना हो अथवा अनेक घोटालो इत्यादि में कांग्रेस पार्टी को बचाना हो, प्रणब जी साफ़ छवि के बावजूद मंत्रिमंडल का ही एक हिस्सा रहे है और वह कांग्रेस पार्टी के घोटालों से कहीं न कहीं सीधा न सही तो परोक्ष रूप से जुड़े रहने का दाग जरूर है. राष्ट्रपति पद पर वह किसी पार्टी या किसी आलाकमान के नहीं वरन देश के प्रतिनिधि लगे, नहीं तो भारतीय जनता खुद को ठगा सा महसूस करेगी. यह सच है कि भारत की जनता ९० फीसदी से ऊपर डॉ. कलाम को राष्ट्रपति पद के लिए पसंद करती है, परन्तु वह डॉ. प्रणब मुखर्जी को नापसंद भी नहीं करती. बस यही वह अंतर है जिसमे डॉ. कलाम के आदर्श को आगे बढ़ाना होगा प्रणब दा को और राजनीति में उनकी स्वीकार्यता और व्यापक अनुभव को देखते हुए भारतीय जनता की उम्मीदें निसंदेह बहूत स्वाभाविक है. उम्मीद है भारत देश पिछले ८ वर्ष से नेतृत्व- विहीन होने के आरोपों से उबरेगा और डॉ. प्रणब मुखर्जी के नेतृत्व में एक नया सवेरा सभी भारतवासियों के चेहरे की मुस्कान बनेगा.

6000 ईसा पूर्व: RIGVED ऋग्वेदीय मंत्र बना रहे थे.

KALIYUG: -3102: कलियुग शुरू होता है. युग काली, हिंदू कैलेंडर भी Yugabd शुरू के रूप में जाना जाता है.

Hinduism is a term for a wide variety of related religious traditions native to India.Historically, it encompasses the development of Religion in India since the Iron Age traditions, which in turn hark back to prehistoric religions such as that of the Bronze Age Indus Valley Civilization followed by the Iron Age Vedic religion.

By the early centuries CE, Indian philosophy was divided into Astika (orthodox) and Nastika (heterodox) depending on whether the authority of the Vedas was accepted. The Astika group was further divided into six branches, evolving from about the 2nd century BCE to the 6th century CE, viz. Samkhya, Yoga, Nyaya, Vaisheshika, Mimamsa, and Vedanta. The Buddhist, Jain, Carvaka and some other schools were classified as Nastika. The different schools in this period competed for adherents and influenced each other. Meanwhile, Tantra and tantric practices emerged in both Astika and Nastika forms. Monotheistic religions like Shaivism, Shaktism and Vaishnavism developed during the same period through the Bhakti movement. Classical Hinduism emerges as a revival of Vedic traditions fused with local folk traditions, with the gradual decline of Buddhism in India starting from around the eighth century.

Hinduism under the Islamic Rulers saw the increasing prominence of the Bhakti movement, which remains influential today. The colonial period saw the emergence of various Hindu reform movements partly inspired by western culture, such as spiritism (Theosophy). The Partition of India in 1947 was along religious lines, with the Republic of India emerging with a Hindu majority.

Vedic period

Vedism was a religion of the early Indians, speakers of early Old Indic dialects, descended from the Proto-Indo-European language. Liturgy is preserved in the three Vedic Samhitas: the Rig-Veda, Sama-Veda and the Yajur-Veda. Of these, the Rig-Veda the oldest, a collection of hymns dated possibly as early as the 4th millennium BCE.[22] The other two add ceremonial detail for the performance of the actual sacrifice. The Atharva-Veda may also contain compositions dating to before 1000 BC. It contains material pertinent to domestic ritual and folk magic of the period. These texts, as well as the voluminous commentary on orthopraxy collected in the Brahmanas compiled during the early 1st millennium BC, were transmitted by oral tradition alone until the advent of the Pallava and Gupta period and by a combination of written and oral tradition since then.

Rigvedic religion

The geographical horizon of the Rigveda (given with river names, together with the extent of the Swat and Cemetery H) extends from the Hindu Kush and the Punjab region to the upper Gangetic plain.

The earliest text of the Vedas is the Rigveda, a collection of poetic hymns used in the sacrificial rites of Vedic priesthood. Many Rigvedic hymns concern the fire ritual (Agnihotra) and especially the offering of Soma to the gods (Somayajna). Soma is both an intoxicant and a god itself, as is the sacrificial fire, Agni. The royal horse sacrifice (Ashvamedha) is a central rite in the Yajurveda.

The gods in the Rig-Veda are mostly personified concepts, who fall into two categories: the devas – who were gods of nature – such as the weather deity Indra (who is also the King of the gods), Agni ("fire"), Usha ("dawn"), Surya ("sun") and Apas ("waters") on the one hand, and on the other hand the asuras – gods of moral concepts – such as Mitra ("contract"), Aryaman (guardian of guest, friendship and marriage), Bhaga ("share") or Varuna, the supreme Asura (or Aditya). While Rigvedic deva is variously applied to most gods, including many of the Asuras, the Devas are characterized as Younger Gods while Asuras are the Older Gods (pūrve devāḥ). In later Vedic texts, the Asuras become demons.

The Rigveda has 10 Mandalas ('books'). There is significant variation in the language and style between the family books (RV books 2–7), book 8, the "Soma Mandala" (RV 9), and the more recent books 1 and 10. The older books share many aspects of common Indo-Iranian religion, and is an important source for the reconstruction of earlier common Indo-European traditions. Especially RV 8 has striking similarity to the Avesta,[23] containing allusions to Afghan Flora and Fauna,[24] e.g. to camels (úṣṭra- = Avestan uštra). Many of the central religious terms in Vedic Sanskrit have cognates in the religious vocabulary of other Indo-European languages (deva: Latin deus; hotar: Germanic god; asura: Germanic ansuz; yajna: Greek hagios; brahman: Norse Bragi or perhaps Latin flamen etc.). Especially notable is the fact, that in the Avesta Asura (Ahura) is known as good and Deva (Daeva) as evil entity, quite the opposite of the RigVeda.

Brahmanism

During a period roughly spanning the 10th to 6th centuries BC, the Mahajanapadas arise from the earlier petty kingdoms of the various Rigvedic tribes, and the failing remnants of the Late Harappan culture. In this period the mantra portions of the Vedas are largely completed, and a flowering industry of Vedic priesthood organized in numerous schools (shakha) develops exegetical literature, viz. the Brahmanas. These schools also edited the Vedic mantra portions into fixed recensions, that were to be preserved purely by oral tradition over the following two millennia.

Shramana

The Brahmanical tradition was paralleled by the non-Vedic Shramana movement. The Buddha was a member of this movement.[25] Shramana also gave rise to Jainism,[26] yoga,[27] the concept of the cycle of birth and death, the concept of samsara, and the concept of liberation.[28] The Brahmanical ashrama system of life was an attempt to institutionalize Shramana ideals within the Brahmanical social structure.[29] The Shramana movement also influenced the Aranyakas and Upanishads in the Brahmanical tradition.[30]

Survival of Vedic ritual

Vedism as the religious tradition of Hinduism of a priestly elite was marginalized by other traditions such as Jainism and Buddhism in the later Iron Age, but in the Middle Ages would rise to renewed prestige with the Mimamsa school, which as well as all other astika traditions of Hinduism, considered them authorless (apaurusheyatva) and eternal. A last surviving elements of Vedic Hinduism or Vedism is Śrauta tradition, following many major elements of Vedic religion and is prominent in Southern India, with communities in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, but also in some pockets of Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra and other states; the best known of these groups are the Nambudiri of Kerala, whose traditions were notably documented by Frits Staal.[31][32]

Ancient India

The Mauryan period saw an early flowering of classical Sanskrit Sutra and Shastra literature and the scholarly exposition of the "circum-Vedic" fields of the Vedanga. However, during this time Buddhism was patronized by Ashoka, who ruled large parts of India, and Buddhism was also the mainstream religion until the Gupta empire period.

The Sangam literature (300 BC – 300 AD) is a mostly secular body of classical literature in the Tamil language. Nonetheless there are some works, significantly Pattupathu and Paripaatal, wherein the personal devotion to god was written in form of devotional poems. Vishnu, Shiva and Murugan were mentioned gods. These works are therefore the earliest evidences of monotheistic Bhakti traditions, preceding the large bhakti movement, which was given great attention in later times.

Expansion in South-East Asia

Expansion of Hinduism in Southeast Asia.

From about the 1st century, India started to strongly influence Southeast Asian countries. Trade routes linked India with southern Burma, central and southern Siam, lower Cambodia and southern Vietnam and numerous urbanized coastal settlements were established there.

For more than a thousand years, Indian Hindu/Buddhist influence was therefore the major factor that brought a certain level of cultural unity to the various countries of the region. The Pali and Sanskrit languages and the Indian script, together with Theravada and Mahayana Buddhism, Brahmanism and Hinduism, were transmitted from direct contact as well as through sacred texts and Indian literature, such as the Ramayana and the Mahabharata epics.

From the 5th to the 13th century, South-East Asia had very powerful Indian colonial empires and became extremely active in Buddhist architectural and artistic creation. The Sri Vijaya Empire to the south and the Khmer Empire to the north competed for influence.

Langkasuka (-langkha Sanskrit for "resplendent land" -sukkha of "bliss") was an ancient Hindu kingdom located in the Malay Peninsula. The kingdom, along with Old Kedah settlement, are probably the earliest territorial footholds founded on the Malay Peninsula. According to tradition, the founding of the kingdom happened in the 2nd century; Malay legends claim that Langkasuka was founded at Kedah, and later moved to Pattani.

From the 5th-15th centuries Sri Vijayan empire, a maritime empire centered on the island of Sumatra in Indonesia, had adopted Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhism under a line of rulers named the Sailendras. The Empire of Sri Vijaya declined due to conflicts with the Chola rulers of India. The Majapahit Empire succeeded the Singhasari empire. It was one of the last and greatest Hindu empires in Maritime Southeast Asia.

Funan was a pre-Angkor Cambodian kingdom, located around the Mekong delta, probably established by Mon–Khmer settlers speaking an Austro-Asiatic language. According to reports by two Chinese envoys, K'ang T'ai and Chu Ying, the state was established by an Indian Brahmin named Kaundinya, who in the 1st century CE was given instruction in a dream to take a magic bow from a temple and defeat a Khmer queen, Soma. Soma, the daughter of the king of the Nagas, married Kaundinya and their lineage became the royal dynasty of Funan. The myth had the advantage of providing the legitimacy of both an Indian Brahmin and the divinity of the cobras, who at that time were held in religious regard by the inhabitants of the region.

The kingdom of Champa (or Lin-yi in Chinese records) controlled what is now south and central Vietnam from approximately 192 through 1697. The dominant religion of the Cham people was Hinduism and the culture was heavily influenced by India.

Later, from the 9th to the 13th century, the Mahayana Buddhist and Hindu Khmer Empire dominated much of the South-East Asian peninsula. Under the Khmer, more than 900 temples were built in Cambodia and in neighboring Thailand. Angkor was at the center of this development, with a temple complex and urban organization able to support around one million urban dwellers. The largest temple complex of the world, Angkor Wat, stands here; built by the king Vishnuvardhan, a king of the dynasty that believed themselves to be incarnations of Vishnu.

Middle Ages

Gupta and Pallava period

The Pallavas (4th to 9th centuries) were, alongside the Guptas of the North, patronizers of Sanskrit in the South of the Subcontinent. The pallava reign saw the first Sankrit inscriptions in a script called Grantha. Early Pallavas had different connections to South-East Asian countries. The Pallavas used Dravidian architecture to build some very important Hindu temples and academies in Mamallapuram, Kanchipuram and other places; their rule saw the rise of great poets, who are as famous as Kalidasa.

The Gupta period (4th to 6th centuries) saw a flowering of scholarship, the emergence of the classical schools of Hindu philosophy, and of classical Sanskrit literature in general on topics ranging from medicine, veterinary science, mathematics, to astrology and astronomy and astrophysics. The famous Aryabhata and Varahamihira belong to this age. The Gupta established a strong central government which also allowed a degree of local control. Gupta society was ordered in accordance with Hindu beliefs. This included a strict caste system, or class system. The peace and prosperity created under Gupta leadership enabled the pursuit of scientific and artistic endeavors.

The practice of dedicating temples to different deities came into vogue followed by fine artistic temple architecture and sculpture (see Vastu Shastra).

Brahmanical Expansion at the Expense of Buddhism

"before the eighth century, the Buddha was accorded the position of universal deity and ceremonies by which a king attained to imperial status were elaborate donative ceremonies entailing gifts to Buddhist monks and the installation of a symbolic Buddha in a stupa....This pattern changed in the eighth century. The Buddha was replaced as the supreme, imperial deity by one of the Hindu gods (except under the Palas of eastern India, the Buddha's homeland)...Previously the Buddha had been accorded imperial-style worship (puja). Now as one of the Hindu gods replaced the Buddha at the imperial centre and pinnacle of the cosmo-political system, the image or symbol of the Hindu god comes to be housed in a monumental temple and given increasingly elaborate imperial-style puja worship."[34]

The replacement of the Buddha as the "cosmic person" coincided with the same period of time that the Buddha was incorporated and subordinated within the cult of Vishnu as an avatar. Although Buddhism did not disappear from India for several centuries after the eighth, royal proclivities for the cults of Vishnu and Shiva weakened Buddhism's position within the sociopolitical context and helped make possible its decline.[35]

Pauranic Hinduism

Brahmanic Hinduism evolves out of Vedism during Iron Age India, and in turn contributes to the development of Vedantic and eventually classical Pauranic Hinduism. The transformation of Brahmanism into Pauranic Hinduism in post-Gupta India was due to a process of acculturation. The Puranas helped establish a religious mainstream among the pre-literate tribal societies undergoing acculturation. The tenets of Brahmanic Hinduism and of the Dharmashastras underwent a radical transformation at the hands of the Purana composers, resulting in the rise of a mainstream "Hinduism" that overshadowed all earlier traditions.[36]

Bhakti movement

The Bhakti movement was a Hindu religious movement in which the main spiritual practice was the fostering of loving devotion to God, called bhakti. It was a movement generally devoted to worship of Shiva, Vishnu or Shakti.

The first documented bhakti movement was founded by Karaikkal-ammaiyar. She wrote poems in Tamil about her love for Shiva and probably lived around the 6th century CE. The twelve Alvars who were Vaishnavite devotees and the sixty-three Nayanars who were Shaivite devotees nurtured the incipient bhakti movement in Tamil Nadu. They constitute South India's 75 Apostles of Bhakti.

During the 12th century CE in Karnataka, the Bhakti movement took the form of the Virashaiva movement. It was inspired by Basavanna, a Hindu reformer who created the sect of Lingayats or Shiva bhaktas. During this time, a unique and native form of Kannada literature-poetry called Vachanas was born.

Advaita Vedanta

Muslim conquests

Muslim rulers began to extend their rule across Hindu-Buddhist populated lands in the 8th century CE and the Abrahamic religion of Islam began to spread across the Indian-subcontinent over several centuries. Most converts were from Hinduism or Buddhism, the two dominant local religions. While all traditions of popular Hinduism continued – including the worship of popular reincarnations of the primordial Shakti – Bhakti tradition attained new prominence; Bhakti poetry of lasting greatness was composed in northern India under the rule of Muslim emperors. The humble mystic saint Kabir, who established his own order, composed devotional verses in the Bhakti spirit, but in common-man's Hindi dialect and transcending the Hindu-Muslim theocratic divide. Tulsidas, Mira Bai and Surdas composed immortal Hindu devotional poetry in Hindi-dialects in the Mughal period – it is reminiscent of the earlier Kannada and Tamil Bhakti poetry of South India.

After the conquest of Persia by the Mongol Empire, a regional Turko-Persio-Mongol dynasty formed. Just as eastern Mongol dynasties inter-married with locals and adopted the local religion of Buddhism and the Chinese culture, this group adopted the local religion of Islam and the Persian culture; their descendants ruled in India as Mughals.

The official State religion of the Mughal Empire was Islam, with the preference to the jurisprudence of the Hanafi Madhab (Mazhab). Hinduism remained under strain during Babur and Humanyun's reigns. Sher Shah Suri, the Afghan ruler of North India was comparatively non-repressive. Hinduism came to fore during the three year rule of Hindu king 'Hemu' during 1553-56 when he had defeated Akbar at Agra and Delhi and had taken up the reign from Delhi as a Hindu 'Vikramaditya' king after his 'Rajyabhishake' or coronation at 'Purana Quila' in Delhi. However, during Mughal history, at times, subjects had freedom to practice any religion of their choice, though Non-Muslim able-bodied adult males with income were obliged to pay the Jizya (poll-tax to be spent by the State only on protection of non-Muslims), which signified their status as Dhimmis (responsibility of the State, in regard to safety of life and property).

Akbar, the Mughal emperor Humayun's son and heir from his Sindhi queen Hameeda Banu Begum, had a broad vision of Indian and Islamic traditions. One of Emperor Akbar's most unusual ideas regarding religion was Din-i-Ilahi (Faith of God), which was an eclectic mix of Islam, Zoroastrianism, Hinduism, Jainism and Christianity. It was proclaimed the state religion until his death. These actions however met with stiff opposition from the Muslim clergy, especially the Sufi Shaykh Alf Sani Ahmad Sirhindi. Akbar's abolition of poll-tax on non-Muslims, acceptance of ideas from other religious philosophies, toleration of public worship by all religions and his interest in other faiths showed an attitude of considerable religious tolerance, which, in the minds of his orthodox Muslim opponents, were tantamount to apostasy.

Akbar's son, Jahangir, half Rajput, was also a religious moderate, his mother being Hindu. The influence of his two Hindu queens (the Maharani Maanbai and Maharani Jagat) kept religious moderation as a center-piece of state policy which was extended under his son, Emperor Shah Jahan, who was by blood 75% Rajput and less than 25% Moghul.

Religious orthodoxy would only play an important role during the reign of Shah Jahan's son and successor, Aurangzeb, a devout Sunni Muslim. Aurangzeb was comparatively less tolerant of other faiths than his predecessors had been, and his reign saw an increase in the number and importance of Islamic institutions and scholars. He led many military campaigns against the remaining non-Muslim powers of the Indian subcontinent – the Sikh states of the Punjab, the last independent Hindu Rajputs and the Maratha rebels – as also against the Shia Muslim kingdoms of the Deccan. He also virtually stamped out, from his empire, open proselytisation of Hindus and Muslims by foreign Christian Missionaries, who remained successfully active, however, in the adjoining regions: the present day Kerala, Tamilnadu and Goa.

Early Modern period

The fall of Vijayanagar Empire to Muslim rulers had marked the end of Hindu imperial assertions in the Deccan. But, taking advantage of an over-stretched Mughal Empire, Hinduism once again rose to political prestige, under the Maratha Empire, from 1707 to 1761.

The Hindu Marathas long had lived in the Desh region around Satara, in the western portion of the Deccan plateau, where the plateau meets the eastern slopes of the Western Ghats mountains. They had resisted incursions into the region by the Muslim Mughal rulers of northern India. Under their leader Shivaji, the Maratha freed themselves from the Muslim sultans of Bijapur to the southeast and, becoming much more aggressive, began to frequently raid Mughal territory, eventually sacking the wealthy Mughal port of Surat in 1664. After substantial territorial gains, Shivaji was proclaimed 'Chhatrapati' (Emperor) in 1674; the Marathas had spread and conquered much of central India by Shivaji's death in 1680. Subsequently, under the able leadership of the prime ministers (Peshwas), who often led as generals also, Maratha Empire reached its zenith. Pune, the seat of Peshwas, flowered as a centre of Hindu learning and traditions. In 1761, the empire broke into smaller Maratha kingdoms that survived till they were eventually subdued by the British East India Company.

Early colonialism

Portuguese missionaries had reached the Malabar Coast in the late 15th century, made contact with the St Thomas Christians in Kerala and sought to introduce the Latin Rite among them. Since the priests for St Thomas Christians were served by the Eastern Christian Churches, they were following Eastern Christian practices at that time. Throughout this period, foreign missionaries also made many new converts to Christianity. This led to the formation of the Latin Catholics in Kerala.

The Goa Inquisition was the office of the Christian Inquisition acting in the Indian city of Goa and the rest of the Portuguese empire in Asia. St. Francis Xavier, in a 1545 letter to John III, requested for an Inquisition to be installed in Goa. It was installed eight years after the death of Francis Xavier in 1552. Established in 1560 and operating until 1774, this highly controversial institution was aimed primarily at Hindus and wayward new converts.

In the century from 1760 to 1860, India was once more divided into numerous petty and unstable kingdoms: the Sikh Confederacy; the "lesser Mughals" following Bahadur Shah I; the Kingdom of Mysore; Hyderabad State; the Durrani Empire; and the territories held by the British East India Company. The entire subcontinent fell under British rule (partly indirectly, via Princely states) following the Indian Rebellion of 1857.

Hindu revivalism

During the 19th century, Hinduism developed a large number of new religious movements, partly inspired by the European Romanticism, nationalism, and esotericism (Theosophy) popular at the time (while conversely and contemporaneously, India had a similar effect on European culture with Orientalism, "Hindoo style" architecture, reception of Buddhism in the West and similar).

These reform movements are summarized under Hindu revivalism and continue into the present.

Swaminarayan establishes the Swaminarayan Sampraday sect around 1800.

Brahmo Samaj is a social and religious movement founded in Kolkata in 1828 by Raja Ram Mohan Roy. He was one of the first Indians to visit Europe and was influenced by western thought. He died in Bristol, England. The Brahmo Samaj movement thereafter resulted in the bm gbj,gh, vgBrahmo religion in 1850 founded by Debendranath Tagore — better known as the father of Rabindranath Tagore.

Sri Ramakrishna and his pupil Swami Vivekananda led a reform in Hinduism in late 19th century. Their ideals and sayings have inspired numerous Indians as well as non-Indians, Hindus as well as non-Hindus. Among the prominent figures whose ideals were very much influenced by them were Rabindranath Tagore, Gandhi, Subhas Bose, Satyendranath Bose, Megh Nad Saha, and Sister Nivedita[citation needed].

Arya Samaj ("Society of Nobles") is a Hindu reform movement in India that was founded by Swami Dayananda in 1875. He was a sannyasin (renouncer) who believed in the infallible authority of the Vedas. Dayananda advocated the doctrine of karma and reincarnation, and emphasised the ideals of brahmacharya (chastity) and sanyasa (renunciation). Dayananda claimed to be rejecting all non-Vedic beliefs altogether. Hence the Arya Samaj unequivocally condemned idolatry, animal sacrifices, ancestor worship, pilgrimages, priestcraft, offerings made in temples, the caste system, untouchability and child marriages, on the grounds that all these lacked Vedic sanction. It aimed to be a universal church based on the authority of the Vedas. Dayananda stated that he wanted 'to make the whole world Aryan', i.e. he wanted to develop missionary Hinduism based on the universality of the Vedas. To this end, the Arya Samaj started Shuddhi movement in early 20th century to bring back to Hinduism people converted to Islam and Christianity, set up schools and missionary organisations, and extended its activities outside India. It now has branches around the world and has a disproportional number of adherents among people of Indian ancestry in Suriname and the Netherlands, in comparison with India.[citation needed]

An important development during the British colonial period was the influence Hindu traditions began to form on Western thought and new religious movements. An early champion of Indian-inspired thought in the West was Arthur Schopenhauer who in the 1850s advocated ethnics based on an "Aryan-Vedic theme of spiritual self-conquest", as opposed to the ignorant drive toward earthly utopianism of the superficially this-worldly "Jewish" spirit.[38] Helena Blavatsky moved to India in 1879, and her Theosophical Society, founded in New York in 1875, evolved into a peculiar mixture of Western occultism and Hindu mysticism over the last years of her life.

The sojourn of Vivekananda to the World Parliament of Religions in Chicago in 1893 had a lasting effect. Vivekananda founded the Ramakrishna Mission, a Hindu missionary organization still active today.

In the early 20th century, Western occultists influenced by Hinduism include Maximiani Portaz – an advocate of "Aryan Paganism" – who styled herself Savitri Devi and Jakob Wilhelm Hauer, founder of the German Faith Movement. It was in this period, and until the 1920s, that the swastika became an ubiquitous symbol of good luck in the West before its association with the Nazi Party became dominant in the 1930s.

Hinduism-inspired elements in Theosophy were also inherited by the spin-off movements of Ariosophy and Anthroposophy and ultimately contributed to the renewed New Age boom of the 1960s to 1980s, the term New Age itself deriving from Blavatsky's 1888 The Secret Doctrine.

Contemporary Hinduism

As of 2007, of an estimated 944 million Hindus, 98.5% live in South Asia. Of the remaining 1.5% or 14 million, 6 million live in Southeast Asia (mostly Indonesia), 2 million in Europe, 1.8 million in North America, 1.2 million in Southern Africa.

South Asia

Modern Hinduism is the reflection of continuity and progressive changes that occurred in various traditions and institutions of Hinduism during the 19th and 20th centuries. Its main divisions are into Vaishnavism (largely influenced by Bhakti), Shaivism, Shaktism and Smartism (Advaita Vedanta).

Besides these traditional denominations, movements of Hindu revivalism look to founders such as Swami Vivekananda, Swami Dayananda (Arya Samaj), Rabindranath Tagore, Ramana Maharshi, Aurobindo, Shriram Sharma Acharya, Swami Sivananda, Swami Rama Tirtha, Narayana Guru, Paramhansa Yogananda, Swami Chinmayananda, Shrii Shrii Anandamurti, Pandurang Shastri Athavale (Swadhyay Movement) and others.

The Hindutva movement advocating Hindu nationalism originated in the 1920s and has remained a strong political force in India. The major party of the religious right, Bharatiya Janata Party, since its foundation in 1980 has won several elections, and after a defeat in 2004 remains the leading force of opposition against the current Congress Party government.

Southeast Asia

The resurgence of Hinduism in Indonesia is occurring in all parts of the country. In the early seventies, the Toraja people of Sulawesi were the first to be identified under the umbrella of 'Hinduism', followed by the Karo Batak of Sumatra in 1977 and the Ngaju Dayak of Kalimantan in 1980.

The growth of Hinduism has been driven also by the famous Javanese prophesies of Sabdapalon and Jayabaya. Many recent converts to Hinduism had been members of the families of Sukarno's PNI, and now support Megawati Sukarnoputri. This return to the 'religion of Majapahit' (Hinduism) is a matter of nationalist pride.

The new Hindu communities in Java tend to be concentrated around recently built temples (pura) or around archaeological temple sites (candi) which are being reclaimed as places of Hindu worship. An important new Hindu temple in eastern Java is Pura Mandaragiri Sumeru Agung, located on the slope of Mt. Semeru, Java's highest mountain. Mass conversions have also occurred in the region around Pura Agung Blambangan, another new temple, built on a site with minor archaeological remnants attributed to the kingdom of Blambangan, the last Hindu polity on Java, and Pura Loka Moksa Jayabaya (in the village of Menang near Kediri).

Neo-Hindu movements in the west

Influential in spreading Hinduism to a western audience were A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada (Hare Krishna movement), Sri Aurobindo, Meher Baba, Osho, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi (Transcendental Meditation), Sathya Sai Baba, Mother Meera, among others.

Sixteen Hindu Sanskars

The way Hindu lives ,is wrapped around various rites called Sanskar. The Sanskar is said to be helping for achieving spiritual nourishment, peace of mind and ultimately moksha. Sansar give a spiritual touch to the important events at different stages of a Hindu life - right from pre-birth to post-death.

These sixteen Sanskar are as follows :-

GARBHADHAN

Garbhadana. All sources recognize this as the first Sanskar. This is the enthusiastic prayer for a child. This is done for fulfillment of parental duty to continue the race. This sanskar is limited to the family members. This is performed by husband.

PUNSAVANA

This second Sanskar is performed during the third or the fourth month of pregnancy. The significance of this Sanskar is to invoke divine and good qualities in the chield. According to our ancient Shastras, this ritual is performed in the desire for a male child. The reason for expecting male child is believed to be in the belief that it is the male child who carries the Vansha forward. Like the first Sanskar i.e. Garbhadhan, Punsavana Sanskar is also restricted to the family members.

SIMINTONNAYANA

This Sanskar is performed during the seventh month of pregnancy and prayers are offered for the healthy physical and mental growth of the child. The other importance of this Sankar is to free the expectant mother free from worries since the last 3 months are very difficult for pregnant woman- both physically and mentally. On the day of this Sanskar, the expectant mother gets food of her desire.Only women are invited for this ritual and the gathering is kept small The husband performs this ritual.

JATAKARMA

This Sanskar is performed at the birth of a child as a welcome sign to the new born child into the family.

NAMAKARANA

This Sanskar is performed on the tenth , eleventh or twelth day with recitation of Mantras. The baby child gets name on completion of this Sankar.

NISHKRAMANA

This Sanskar is performed when the child is taken out of the home for the first time.The reason for this Sanskar is to show obedience to the sun, moon, fire, wind etc, -the Panchmahabhut .This is supposed to enhance the age and physical and mental development of the child.

ANNAPRASHANA

This Sanskar is performed on sixth month , when the child gets solid food for the first time. Mantras recited and oblations are offered to the various deities.

CHUDKARAM

This Sanskar is shaving the head of child. This is done in first of third year of the child. The body of the child is protected and harmonized by these ceremony. Its also known as Mundan ceremony. Brahmins chant Mantras for a healthy, long life of the child. This Sanskar is restricted to the family level. During this Sanskar, the father feeds honey to the baby and pierces the baby's ear. This ear piercing is supposed to enhance the memory of the child .

KARNVEDH

This Sanskar is performed in the firth or the seventh year or at the end of the first year with Chudkaram Sanskar.

UPANAYANA

This is the most important Sanskar , which marks the beginning of the next stage of life Youth. The word Upanayana means bringing near. The child is bought near to the Guru. This Sanskar is second birth for child - A spiritual birth. This Sanskar is performed during six to nine years of child.

VEDARAMBHA

This Sanskar is done along with Upanayana. The setting up with the Sacred thread entitles the child to study the Vedas and participate in Vedic functions.The child commences his journey on the road to spiritual life. This is contrasted with a life of eating, sleeping and procreating, which kinds of life animals also live.The child is sent to Gurukul.

SAMAVARTANA

This Sanskar is performed before entering the grahstha ashram or the life of a householder. This is performed at the end of child's study in Gurukul. The student has to take the permission of his guru before entering the ashram. After this the guru gives him important guidelines or tips for the grahstha ashram.

VIVAHA

This sanskar is entry into the second Ashram. The life as individual family begins. Entering this stage of life, man has to take on his duties and has to pay spiritual debts by sacrifice , by procreating children and study. The bride and groom walks around Agni hand in hand. The bride sacrifices grains in the fire and chants mantras.

VANPRASTHA

Man withdraws himself from all worldly activities, retires into the forest and prepares himself for taking sanyas. This is the life of a Vanprastha.

SANYASA

A sanyasi renounces the world and leads a life of study and meditation by living on alms.

ANTYESHTI

When death is imminent, a small piece of gold, tulsi leaf and drops of Ganga water are put in the mouth of the person on the death bed. The body is laid on the ground with the head towards the north. The eldest son generally performs the last rites before which he takes a purificatory bath amidst the chanting of mantras. The dead body is washed, perfumed and wrapped in a new white cloth and decked with flowers.

For ten days following death, food is not prepared at home and relatives and friends take the responsibility of getting food for the family.

अखिल भारत हिन्दू महासभा ने भारत के प्रधानमंत्री डॉ. मनमोहन सिंह से कोल ब्लाक आबंटन में भ्रष्टाचार व् धांधली की जाँच सुप्रीम कोर्ट के कार्यरत न्यायाधीश से कराने की मांग की हैं. साथ ही यह भी मांग की है कि दोषी चाहे कितना भी बड़ा नेता क्यों न हो उस पर कठोर कार्रवाई की जाये. यदि इस भ्रष्टाचार में केंद्रीय मंत्रिपरिषद का कोई मंत्री शामिल हो तो उसे मंत्रिमंडल से तत्काल बर्खाश्त किया जाये. साथ ही साथ यदि प्रधानमंत्री स्वयं भी इसके दोषी हों तो निष्पक्ष जाँच कराने के लिए प्रधानमंत्री के पद का त्याग करें. आज केंद्र सरकार में फैले भ्रष्टाचार और महंगाई पर चर्चा के लिए केंद्रीय मुख्यालय हिन्दू महासभा भवन में अखिल भारत हिन्दू महासभा के राष्ट्रीय पदाधिकारियों की बैठक आयोजित की गयी. बैठक में राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष चन्द्र प्रकाश कौशिक, राष्ट्रीय महामंत्री मुन्ना कुमार शर्मा, राष्ट्रीय कार्यालय मंत्री वीरेश त्यागी सहित कई राष्ट्रीय पदाधिकारी सम्मिलित हुए. बैठक में नरेन्द्र मोदी द्वारा बाइबिल के आधार पर शासन चलाने के कांग्रेस पार्टी के घोषणा पत्र की आलोचना का समर्थन किया गया. हिन्दू महासभा नेताओं ने कांग्रेस अध्यक्षा सोनिया गाँधी से मांग की है कि इस शर्मनाक घटना के लिए वह देशवासियों से माफ़ी मांगें. इसके साथ- साथ पूर्वोत्तर के कुछ राज्यों में हिन्दुओं के साथ किये जा रहे अत्याचार को तुरंत रोकने की मांग की गयी. बैठक में यह भी निर्णय लिया गया कि केंद्र की यू.पी.ए. सरकार द्वारा किये जा रहे हिन्दू विरोधी कार्यों का तीब्र विरोध किया जाये. हिन्दू महासभा ने पूरे देश में हिन्दुओं में जागृति लाने तथा राष्ट्रवाद को फ़ैलाने का निर्णय लिया.

भारतीय जीवनदृष्टि और शैली सनातन मूल्यों पर आधारित है। इस संस्कृति के पंच प्राण हैं, गीता, गंगा, गायत्राी, गाय और गोविन्द। गीता भारतीय आध्यात्मिक दर्शन का सार ग्रन्थ है। वह समन्वय और कर्म का उपदेश देता है। यही भारतीय जीवन दृष्टि की विशेषता है, कि, वह सदाचार और पवित्रा कर्म को महत्त्व देती है। जीवन की सार्थकता और उसकी उपादेयता पवित्रा कर्म और सोच पर आधारित है। यही गीता का सन्देश है। गंगा प्रवृत्ति की निश्छलता और निर्मलता का प्रतीक है। जीवन प्रवेग के साथ आगे बढ़ता रहे। उसमंे कहीं विराम न हो, वह अनवरत प्रवेग के साथ प्रवाहमान रहे, यह शिक्षा हमंे गंगा से मिलती है। गंगा औषधियुक्त है, लोक कल्याणकारी है, यही भाव गंगा से प्राप्त होते है। हमारा जीवन स्वयं भी पावन हो, और हम सबको पावन करते चलें। संस्कृति के तृतीय प्राण गायत्राी है। गायत्राी विश्व की सर्वाधिक श्रेष्ठ ईश प्रार्थना मानी जाती है। साधक किसी कर्मकांड के द्वारा ईश्वरीय कृपा की कामना नहीं करता, अपितु वह आत्मपरिमार्जन और आत्म शुचिता की कामना करता है। यदि हम गायत्राी मंत्रा के भावों को अपने जीवन मंे ग्रहण करते हैं, तो निश्चित ही एक महान विश्व का निर्माण कर सकते हैं। विश्व मंे व्यक्ति आत्म शुचिता पर ध्यान न देकर ईश्वर से कृपा की आशा रखता है। ईश्वरीय कृपा की वर्षा स्वतः होने लगेगी, जब मानव स्वयं का शुद्धिकरण करना सीख जायेगा। चतुर्थ प्राण तत्त्व है गाय। गाय हमारा अर्थव्यवस्था के साथ-साथ नैतिकता को सबलता देने वाला पशु भी है। गाय के भीतर अनेक चामत्कारिक गुण होते है। उसका प्रत्येक तत्त्व विश्व कल्याण के लिये है। गाय के गोबर तक मंे यह शक्ति होती है, वह परमाणु बम की रेडियोधर्मिता से मानव जीवन को सुरक्षित रख सके। गोमूत्रा हजारों ंरोगों की एक मात्रा दवा है। दुख इस बात का है कि, व्यक्ति गाय की भांति त्याग कर उपासक होना नहीं चाहता। गाय के महान गुणों को हम स्वयं मंे सम्मिलित करें। केवल अपने लिये ही नहीं, सम्पूर्ण जगत के लिये कल्याणकारी प्रमाणित होंगे। हमारे सभी आध्यात्मिक संस्कारों मंे पंचगव्यों का महत्त्व है। गंगा जल को प्रदूषित कर दिया गया है लेकिन देसी गायों का मूत्रा आज तक औषधीय गुणों से परिपूर्ण है। गीता, गंगा, गाय, गायत्राी और गोविन्द के आदर्शो को अपने जीवन मंे समाहित करते के पश्चात् ही परम ध्येय को प्राप्त किया जा सकता ंहै। असल मंे, गोविन्द की साधना, केवल तप या कर्मकांड से नहीं होती। उसके लिये लौकिक जीवन मंे पवित्राता और त्याग भावना को लाना आवश्यक है। ईश्वर की प्राप्ति कोई घटना नही है। ईश्वर भौतिक रूप से प्रकट नहीं होता। वह मानसिक शान्ति, सन्तोष, करूणा, ज्ञान और न्याय का द्योतक ंहै। जब ये पांचों तत्त्व जीवन मंे आ जायें, व्यवहार मानव मूल्यों की उच्चतम स्थिति तक पहुंच जाये, तो वही ईश्वर है। परमपिता परमेश्वर ने जीवन के रूप मंे हमंे अमृत प्रदान किया है। यह अमृत तब तक ही है, जब तक उसे विषाक्त तत्त्वों से सुरक्षित रखा जाये। इसके लिये सम्पूर्ण जीवनशैली को सात्विक आदर्शो और मर्यादाओं से परिपूर्ण करना होगा। यदि हम समस्त संसार को सुखमय बनाना चाहता है, तो सर्वप्रथम सुख के रहस्य को अपने भीतर खोजना होगा। यह तब ही सम्भव है, जब अमृत के मूल्य को समझेंगे और ईश्वर को धन्यवाद देंगे कि उसने हमंे मानव जीवन प्रदान किया हैं।

केन्द्र सरकार के द्वारा काला धन के लियेे श्वेत पत्रा संसद में प्रस्तुत किया है। यह तो केवल औपचारिकता है। राजनेताओं और नौकरशही ने देश को कंगाल बना दिया है। विदेशों में काला धन किसी आम आदमी का नहीं हो सकता। वह उन लोगों का है जो, अति प्रभावशाली हैं, और उनके अन्तरराष्ट्रीय सम्बन्ध भी है। सबसे दुख की बात यह है कि, सरकार केवल स्विस बैकों का हिसाब दे रही है। इटली और अमेरिका की बैकों में भी भारतीयों का काला धन जमा हो सकता है, उनका विवरण क्यों नही दिया गया। देश लूट लिया गया और जनता अन्जान रही। भारतवर्ष कभी निर्धन देश नहीं रहा है। प्रकृति ने हमारे देश पर बहुत कृपा की है। इसकी धरती में खनिज तत्वों का भण्डार है। साथ ही, जलवायु ऐसी है कि, प्रत्येक प्रकार की फसल हो सकती है। भगवान में हमें सबसें अधिक दिया लेकिन हमारे आचरण इतना दूषित है कि हमने उसके वरदान को भी सम्मान नहीं दिया। आज भारत संसार के सबसे गरीब देशों की सूची मेें आता है। लेकिन उसी देश में राजनेताओं और नौकरशाहों की विकास दर वर्ष में कई हजार गुना होती है। एक श्रमिक मेहनत करता है। अब इतना धन एकत्रा नहीं कर पाता कि, यदि वह बीमार हो जाये तो, अपना इलाज भी करा ले। लेकिन राजनेताओं के धन में अचानक वृद्धि होती है। उनके पास ऐसा कौन का सूत्रा है जो रंक को राजा बना लेता है। उस प्रयोग को वह भारतीय अर्थव्यवस्था के लिये क्यों नहीं करते? साफ है कि, उनके पास कोई सूत्रा नहीं है। उनके पास शर्म नहीं है। वे लज्जाहीन और नैतिकहीन हो चुके है। उत्तर प्रदेश के एक पूर्व मंत्राी के बारे में कहा जाता है कि, वह चुनाव जीतने से पहले वे साइकिल पर स्टोव ठीक करने का कार्य करते थे। राजनीति में आये तो अरबपति हो गये। ऐसा क्या है जो, राजनेताओं के लिये कुबेर का खजाना खेल दिया जाता है। असल में, श्वेत पत्रा जारी करने से काला धन रूकने वाला नहीं है। आवश्यकता है कि, सार्वजनिक जीवन का परिमार्जन किया जाये। यह राजनेता नहीं करेंगे। इसके लिये राजनीति पैसा कमाने का साधन है। लोक दिखावे को सरकार ने काले धन पर श्वेत पत्रा सदन में प्रस्तुत किया, लेकिन उसका लाभ क्या है? जिन लोागों के स्विस बैकों में धन जमा है, उनके नामों को छिपाया गया। लम्बे समय से इस काले धन को लेकर आवाज उठ रही थी। सन् 2010 में यह राशि 23 हजार करोड़ से अधिक थी। लेकिन अब केबल 9 हजार करोड़ रह गयी है। सरकार ने बेईमानों को यह अवसर प्रदान किया कि, उन्होंने अपने धन को वहाँ से निकालकर दूसरें बैकों में जमा करा दिया है। लगभग पांच वर्षो से काले धन का मुद्दा उठ रहा है। लेकिन सरकार ने कोई कार्यवाही नहीं की। यह जो श्वेत पत्रा जारी किया है, वह भारतीय जनता को संतुष्ट करने से अधिक विश्व बैक और संयुक्त राष्ट्र को संतुष्ट करने के लिये है। इस समय संसार भर में भारतीय शासन व्यवस्था असम्मान की नजर से देखी जाती है। अन्तरराष्ट्रीय मुद्रा कोष को यह दिखाना आवश्यक है कि, भारत की सोनिया कांग्रेस सरकार काले धन के प्रति बहुत गम्भीर है। काला धन स्विस बैकों से निकाल लिया गया, सरकार की ओर से कोई रोधात्मक का न होना, यह सिद्ध करता है कि, सांप निकलने के बाद सरकार लाठी पीट रही है। असल में, भारतीय जनता के उदासीन और जातीय राजनीतिक व्यवहार के कारण कोई भी राजनीतिक दल भयभीत नहीं होता। कांग्रेस को किसी प्रकार का डर नहीं है। यदि वह भयभीत होती तो, हिन्दुओं के खिलाफ साम्प्रदायिक लक्षित हिंसा विधेयक तैयार नहीं करती। सरकार के श्वेत पत्रा पर जनता को विश्वास नहीं करना चाहिए।
