On our trip to Whittier we got to watch this amazing sight, of huge glaciers calving into the water. Not only was it really nice on the eyes, but hearing it was one of the most wonderful sounds I ever heard.

It is so loud and scary. I had to share my favorites in a collage, I am hoping to put the whole trip on a slideshow with music.

This is a small version of a print I sent to Joe Redington Jr. The original that is hanging in the Wasilla Walmart at Mcdonald's was shot with a 8 mega pixel camera on a stormy day in 2008
and can be purchased at
glendachristinaphotography

This boat is revisited because I found out some history on the boat after talking to family.
It belonged to the late Joe Redington's Sr (Father of the Iditarod) . It was a fishing boat.
 He called it ~The Nomad~

It was built by Bob Matheson and his brother.
The boat was built in the 50's and used until the late 60's until dry docking out on the knik flats.
Joe Redington's family made a facebook page in honor of him and his iditarod photos, please check it out at
Well we got hired to decorate another McDonald's Store in Alaska. After seeing the pictures hanging at the McDonald's lobby in Wasilla Ms Lisa Anne (very sweet lady to work with) picked out the pictures and they turned out wonderful.
These are at the Spenard McDonald's by the airport in Anchorage.

There are a total of 7 there and these can be ordered at
