Venerdì 24 maggio inaugura la personale di VALERIO BERRUTI a cura di Gail Cochrane "Dove il cielo s'attacca alla collina".

La mostra è allestita a Castiglione Falletto (CN) tra i vigneti più pregiati delle colline del Barolo. La location d'eccezione è infatti costituita dai terreni della Cantina Bricco Rocche, di proprietà della famiglia Ceretto, celebre per il Cubo di vetro. Il progetto espositivo di Berruti nasce dal dialogo delle sue opere con questo meraviglioso spazio, che a sua volta è immerso nel più ampio e straordinario paesaggio di Langa. La mostra è aperta al pubblico ad ingresso gratuito ogni week end dal 25 maggio al 30 giugno. La mostra a Castiglion Falletto inaugura alle 17, intorno alle 18,30 ci sarà il concerto di Aldo Brizzi mentre a partire dalle 21, questa volta in Piazza Duomo ad Alba, uno straordinario spettacolo di proiezioni e video.

Friday, May 24th, VALERIO BERRUTI opens his personal exhibition "Dove il cielo s'attacca alla collina" organised by Gail Cochrane.

The exhibition is held in Castiglione Falletto (CN) among the finest vineyards of the hills of Barolo. The exceptional location is in fact in midst of the terrain by the Winery Bricco Rocche, owned by the Ceretto family, famous for its glass cube. The exhibition by Berruti was born from the dialogue of his work with this wonderful space, which in turn is surrounded by the largest and most stunning scenery in the Langa. The exhibition is open to the public with free admission every weekend from May 25th to June 30th. The exhibition opens in Castiglion Falletto at 17:00, around 18.30 there will be a concert by Aldo Brizzi. Starting at 21:00, this time in Piazza Duomo in Alba, there will be an extraordinary show of projections and video.

Giro d'Italia 2013 - 13th stage : Busseto - Cherasco

The 13th stage of the Giro d'Italia will be coming to Piedmont on Friday the 17th May 2013. The Busseto-Cherasco tour will pass by the three provinces in Piedmont: Alessandria, Asti and Cuneo.

This will be the longest round of the tour, a total of 254 km, before heading to the challenging Italian mountains.

The round starts from Busseto at 10.55 am while the final section will be in the Langa area. After Alexandrian and after leaving the Asti region, the Giro d'Italia will continue passing through Neive, Treiso, Alba, Ricca, Rodello, Albaretto Torre, Sinio, Gallo d'Alba (at 16.00 pm), Barolo and then moving on towards Narzole and the final sprint to the nearby Cherasco.

I just love Rossana Orlandi. Every gallery or exhibition organised by this marvelous woman is worth visiting. So don't miss out and head to the 'fuori salone' this year. She has a limited edition Gallery in Via Gesù 21, which will feature exclusive pieces by Piet Hein Eek, E&S, Tom Dixon, Bokja, Maarten Baas, Nacho Carbonell, Manuella Crotti, Cinzano, Enrico Marone, Bendetta Mori Ubaldini, and many more unique pieces.

Another installation curated by Rossana Orlandi is "Plastica Millenaria" by Hagar Fletcher at Zara exposition in the Zara boutique in Corso Vittorio Emanuele.

Gufram together with the designer Fabio Novembre are launching a new product Jolly Roger this week at the salone del mobile in Milan.

Jolly Roger is a chair that formally refers to a pirate skull. A chair for indoor and outdoor use, with a map surrounded by oceans imprinted on the seat. Salone del Mobile 2013: BMW i with Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec

This wednesday 10th of April in Piazza Paolo VI Brera, BMW and Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec will present Quiet Motion. An installation that reinterprets the concept of sustainable mobility BMW i, in a place designed to pause & reflect. The installation will be done by Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec.

The project for BMW's electric car division comprises four carousel-like structures with strips of fabric hanging from the edges, linked by wide circular cork platforms that are also revolving. "You are invited to take part in it and be part of the movement," explains Erwan Bouroullec.

The Bouroullec brothers believe that as electric engines make cars quieter, the driving experience and the interior design of vehicles should become simplified and more relaxing.

The Bouroullecs will also present an aluminium sideboard for the Italian brand Magis and an update to their Steelwood chair at the Salone del Mobile in Rho this week.
