John Mullins (London Business School), con alcuni &lt;strong&gt;consigli per preparare un business plan&lt;/strong&gt;.

	&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Mai sovrastimare il mercato&lt;/strong&gt;: l&amp;rsquo;esempio classico &amp;egrave;
	&amp;ldquo;Il mercato &amp;egrave; 100, se arrivo io&amp;hellip;vuoi che non prendo almeno il 5% del
	mercato?&amp;rdquo;. L&amp;rsquo;autore chiama questi piani&amp;nbsp; One-Coke-for-every-kids-plan [...] &lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Mai strecciare i numeri dei fogli excel&lt;/strong&gt;. Chi
	maneggia i business plan sa benissimo che variando alcuni driver il
	piano pu&amp;ograve; anche decuplicare. Farsi prendere da questa libidine &amp;egrave; molto
	pericoloso. E&amp;rsquo; sempre opportuno fare 3 casi (Best, Normal, Worth) e mai
	usare il best.&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Mai fissarsi solo su una tecnologia favolosa:&lt;/strong&gt; alla
	fine la cosa fondamentale &amp;egrave; individuare un&amp;nbsp; bisogno del
	consumatore-utente, e l&amp;rsquo;idea di business nasce per soddisfare tale
	bisogno.&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Mai ignorare i rischi:&lt;/strong&gt; molto spesso si preferisce
	vedere solo l&amp;rsquo;aspetto positivo di un piano, senza porre la dovuta
	attenzione ai rischi. E&amp;rsquo; una grave imprudenza che talvolta viene
	commessa quando si usano i soldi degli altri (investitori). Ma gli
	investitori ci cadono solo una volta&amp;hellip;..&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Non basarsi solo sui CV:&lt;/strong&gt; certo&amp;hellip; fanno scena con
	gli investitori, ma poi il business lo portano avanti quelli che lo
	sanno fare per davvero, e talvolta possono essere laureati al MIT, ma
	altre volte dei ragazzini-smanettoni.&lt;/li&gt;

	Cosa ti differenzia dagli altri? [aggiungo io... Quali e quanti &lt;a href="http://www.albertofalossi.com/post/Legge-2-0.aspx" target="_blank"&gt;&amp;quot;rischi legali&amp;quot;&lt;/a&gt; ci sono?]&lt;br /&gt;
	&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Il tuo business sar&amp;agrave; &lt;em&gt;capital efficient&lt;/em&gt;? &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;p&gt;
Con Postino potete &lt;strong&gt;scattare una foto con l&amp;#39;iPhone e spedirla come vera cartolina&lt;/strong&gt;. Esistevano altre applicazioni simili, ma Postino ha alcune caratteristiche uniche, come la possibilit&amp;agrave; di &lt;strong&gt;spedire in
tutto il mondo&lt;/strong&gt;. Inutile dire che l&amp;#39;applicazione ha avuto ottime recensioni in rete. Una vittoria per il Made in Italy :-)

Dal buzz sul web sembra che quest&amp;#39;estate saranno in molti (anche il sottoscritto) ad usare le nuove &amp;quot;cartoline 2.0&amp;quot;: &amp;egrave; veramente comodo spedire con 1 click una foto personalizzata, senza ammattire con francobolli e ricerca della buca delle lettere.

&lt;p&gt;
Quello che mi ha colpito &amp;egrave; - ancora una volta - la capacit&amp;agrave; degli smartphone e di&lt;em&gt; killer application &lt;/em&gt;come questa di &lt;strong&gt;influenzare e cambiare velocemente le nostre abitudini&lt;/strong&gt;. Anche le pi&amp;ugrave; radicate.

Questa volta &amp;egrave; riuscito a mettere Talkinator in un &lt;strong&gt;mini-computer da 5 Watt:&lt;/strong&gt;

Paul ha usato un &lt;a href="http://www.globalscaletechnologies.com/p-22-sheevaplug-dev-kit.aspx" target="_blank"&gt;plug computer GlobalScale&lt;/a&gt; grande come due pacchetti di sigarette, attaccato alla presa vicino al comodino (fantastico :-). Sembra il Vape per le zanzare, ma ha 512 Mb di RAM, CPU da 1.2 Ghz e Ubuntu 9.04. &lt;a href="http://mailinator.blogspot.com/2009/05/talkinator-on-5-watts.html" target="_blank"&gt;Qui&lt;/a&gt; i dettagli e gli immancabili benchmark.

(in questo momento sto bloggando dalla platea in wifi in attesa dell&amp;#39;ultima sessione :-)
&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
Prezi permette di realizzare &lt;strong&gt;presentazioni innovative ed efficaci&lt;/strong&gt;. Il servizio &amp;egrave; attivo dal 2008, si sta sempre pi&amp;ugrave; diffondendo e ha ricevuto &lt;a href="http://blog.prezi.com/?p=3" target="_blank"&gt;apprezzamenti perfino da Al Gore&lt;/a&gt;. Flusso &lt;strong&gt;non lineare&lt;/strong&gt;, &lt;strong&gt;zoom&lt;/strong&gt;, &lt;strong&gt;mappe&lt;/strong&gt; concettuali. Per capirlo si fa prima a vederlo. Ho dovuto prima capire le funzionalit&amp;agrave; dello strumento e modellare i concetti graficamente.

L&amp;#39;interfaccia &amp;egrave; semplice, in alcuni casi veramente limitata (es. solo 2-3 font, nessun colore custom). Sono previste nuove feature a breve. Ma non importa. &lt;strong&gt;La potenza di Prezi &amp;egrave; il &lt;em&gt;Path&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;, il percorso che combina gli oggetti sul piano di lavoro. Con qualche &lt;a href="http://prezi.com/9303/view/#1" target="_blank"&gt;accorgimento &amp;quot;scenografico&amp;quot;&lt;/a&gt; si pu&amp;ograve; veramente &lt;strong&gt;migliorare la comunicazione e semplificare la comprensione al pubblico&lt;/strong&gt;.

Editor e player sono online. Si pu&amp;ograve; comunque &lt;strong&gt;scaricare la presentazione in locale&lt;/strong&gt; (read-only) e visualizzarla/distribuirla senza essere connessi.

Ovviamente non poteva andare tutto liscio e &lt;strong&gt;Murphy &lt;/strong&gt;&amp;egrave; passato a trovarmi :-) Luned&amp;igrave;, due giorni prima della conferenza, &lt;a href="http://blog.prezi.com/?p=297" target="_blank"&gt;i server di Prezi sono crollati&lt;/a&gt; e non avevo la copia offline. Ho rischiato di dover rifare tutto al volo in PPT. I fondatori hanno aperto un canale di comnunicazione sul blog e da tutto il mondo arrivavano &lt;a href="http://blog.prezi.com/?p=297#comments" target="_blank"&gt;commenti&lt;/a&gt; tipo &amp;quot;tra 2 ore ho la presentazione, come faccio?&amp;quot;. Il &lt;a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Software_as_a_Service" target="_blank"&gt;SaaS&lt;/a&gt; &amp;egrave; anche questo. Questa volta mi &amp;egrave; andata bene, in meno di 24 ore il servizio &amp;egrave; stato ripristinato. E chi &amp;egrave; stato penalizzato ha ricevuto un &lt;a href="http://blog.prezi.com/?p=328" target="_blank"&gt;upgrade gratuito&lt;/a&gt;.

&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
Ning ha&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;1.000.000 di network, di cui &lt;strong&gt;200.000 attivi&lt;/strong&gt;. Di questi, &lt;strong&gt;12.000 (il 6%) pagano in media 55$ al mese&lt;/strong&gt; per i servizi Premium. Ovvero $660.000 al mese, $7.9 milioni all&amp;#39;anno. Secondo una stima non confermata, il restante 94% dei network rende 1.5 milioni / anno tramite AdSense.

Silenziosamente, &lt;a href="http://www.albertofalossi.com/post/youpi.aspx" target="_blank"&gt;Youpi&lt;/a&gt; continua ad evolversi e diffondersi. 
&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
Il &lt;strong&gt;passaparola innescato dagli studenti &lt;/strong&gt;tra ottobre e dicembre 2008 continua a portare nuovi utenti. Alla fine del corso abbiamo scelto di non occuparci del sito (sia nella creazione contenuti che nella promozione) e lasciarlo &lt;strong&gt;evolvere autonomamente&lt;/strong&gt;. 
Riprenderemo e analizzeremo i dati nel prossimo corso a ottobre.

Cos&amp;igrave; facendo, c&amp;#39;&amp;egrave; il rischio che il network &amp;quot;muoia&amp;quot;. Ma nelle reti sociali e nei sistemi complessi non si mai, qualche variabile pu&amp;ograve; fare la differenza. Youpi per adesso resiste. sull&amp;#39;argomento! Una gran bella soddisfazione, soprattutto per i miei studenti, a cui va il merito del successo.

Ricordo quando arrivai in aula dicendo &amp;quot;Vi faccio una foto, non si sa mai, se il sito ha successo finiamo sui giornali!&amp;quot; Coro di &amp;quot;noooo&amp;quot; e qualche ragazza che si rifaceva il trucco al volo :-) Chiss&amp;agrave; in quanti credevano davvero di vedere quella &lt;a href="http://rassegnastampa.unipi.it/rassegna/archivio/2009/04/16SIB4296.PDF" target="_blank"&gt;foto pubblicata&lt;/a&gt;...

Una nota interessante: Youpi non obbliga ad iscriversi con nome e cognome come Facebook. E&amp;#39; possibile usare anche solo un nickname. E&amp;#39; un fattore di &lt;strong&gt;differenziazione &lt;/strong&gt;su cui abbiamo puntato all&amp;#39;inizio, quando molti vedevano con sospetto i social network e non volevano &amp;quot;apparire online&amp;quot;. Poi, dopo qualche settimana, &amp;egrave; arrivata anche in Italia l&amp;#39;ondata di Facebook, la sua &lt;a href="http://www.pandemia.info/post/2055047.html" target="_blank"&gt;diffusione di massa&lt;/a&gt;, la visibilit&amp;agrave; e la &amp;quot;legittimazione&amp;quot; dei media. Bene, da un po&amp;#39; di tempo anche su Youpi gli utenti &lt;strong&gt;si iscrivono &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;strong&gt;spontaneamente con nome e cognome&lt;/strong&gt;!

Il 6 e 7 maggio si tiene a Firenze &lt;a href="http://www.bettersoftware.it/" target="_blank"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Better Software&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/a&gt;, la prima conferenza italiana dedicata allo&lt;strong&gt; sviluppo di software&lt;/strong&gt; e rivolta a &lt;strong&gt;imprenditori e manager del settore IT&lt;/strong&gt;. Il &lt;a href="http://www.bettersoftware.it/2009/programma/" target="_blank"&gt;programma&lt;/a&gt; &amp;egrave; decisamente interessante, un &lt;strong&gt;mix di informatica e business&lt;/strong&gt;. 
&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
Partecipo con un intervento sull&amp;#39;&lt;strong&gt;impatto del Web 2.0 in azienda&lt;/strong&gt; e affronter&amp;ograve; sia aspetti economici che tecnici. E&amp;#39; la prima volta ad una conferenza che ho questo target (il mio preferito... vedi il titolo del blog :-), quindi cercher&amp;ograve; di dare un taglio decisamente originale (e utile) allo speech.

In questi casi l&amp;#39;unica strada per sopravvivere &amp;egrave; &lt;strong&gt;differenziarsi: &lt;/strong&gt;ecco perch&amp;eacute; Glomera ha implementato - &lt;strong&gt;prima al mondo&lt;/strong&gt; - la funzione &lt;strong&gt;Total Embed&lt;/strong&gt;, che permette di inserire e utilizzare la piattaforma in &lt;em&gt;white label&lt;/em&gt; all&amp;#39;interno del proprio sito. L&amp;#39;intera piattaforma, anche di amministrazione. Una sorta di franchising, simile al modello di &lt;a href="http://webchising.shop.it/" target="_blank"&gt;Webchising&lt;/a&gt; per l&amp;#39;eCommerce.

Venere.com &amp;egrave; stato &lt;strong&gt;acquisito da &lt;a href="http://www.expedia.com" target="_blank"&gt;Expedia&lt;/a&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;nel settembre 2008 e &lt;strong&gt;i fondatori - oggi 40enni - sono diventati milionari&lt;/strong&gt;. E&amp;#39; da poco uscito &lt;a href="http://www.apogeonline.com/libri/9788850327799/scheda" target="_blank"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Legge 2.0&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/a&gt;, un libro che tratta&lt;strong&gt; i problemi giuridici relativi al Web&lt;/strong&gt;. Problemi che sono importanti e delicati per chi fa un sito o un servizio, perch&amp;eacute; come &lt;a href="http://www.albertofalossi.com/post/Web-2-0-legale-legge-diritto-copyright-contratto.aspx" target="_blank"&gt;gi&amp;agrave; accennato&lt;/a&gt; &lt;strong&gt;per violare una legge basta un copia e incolla&lt;/strong&gt;. 
&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;Stile chiaro e divulgativo&lt;/strong&gt;, comprensibile anche da chi - come me - non &amp;egrave; pratico di leggi e normative.
&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
L&amp;#39;autrice&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;a href="http://elvlog.wordpress.com/" target="_blank"&gt;Elvira Berlingieri&lt;/a&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;si muove benissimo tra il mondo informatico e quello giuridico: in mezzo a leggi, codici e normative parla esplicitamente di HTML, blog, trackback, podcasting, CMS, social network, peer to peer, OpenID, caching e cos&amp;igrave; via. 
&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
Un libro non pu&amp;ograve; sostituire una consulenza legale, ma &amp;egrave; indicato per &lt;strong&gt;prepararsi e sapersi orientare&lt;/strong&gt;: diritto morale, diritto all&amp;#39;integrit&amp;agrave;, diritto d&amp;#39;inedito, diritto di esecuzione, diffusione, diistribuzione, elaborazione... Bisogna stare attenti a molti aspetti contemporaneamente. Ad esempio un sito pu&amp;ograve; citare correttamente le fonti di una fotografia e avere il consenso alla riproduzione, ma violare ugualmente il Codice in materia di dati personali. 
&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
Chi ha un blog invece pu&amp;ograve; simpaticamente finire in tribunale per un &lt;strong&gt;commento diffamatorio &lt;/strong&gt;scritto da altri. E magari pure essere accusato di &lt;strong&gt;stampa clandestina&lt;/strong&gt;.

Alla fine per non avere problemi sul Web bisogna davvero conoscere le (tante) regole del gioco. Legge 2.0 parla approfonditamente di &lt;strong&gt;propriet&amp;agrave; intellettuale e diritto di autore&lt;/strong&gt;, SIAE e contenuti digitali, &lt;strong&gt;diritti/doveri del Web 2.0&lt;/strong&gt;, peer to peer, &lt;strong&gt;e-Commerce&lt;/strong&gt;, &lt;strong&gt;privacy&lt;/strong&gt;. C&amp;#39;&amp;egrave; pure un capitolo dedicato al &lt;strong&gt;diritto in Second Life e nei mondi virtuali&lt;/strong&gt;!
&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
Vivamente consigliato, &lt;strong&gt;un libro essenziale per chi fa business su Internet - dallo studente all&amp;#39;imprenditore.

Qualche giorno fa &amp;egrave; stata presentata ufficialmente la&lt;strong&gt; partnership tra &lt;a href="http://www.anobii.com/" target="_blank" title="Anobii"&gt;Anobii&lt;/a&gt; ed &lt;a href="http://www.ibs.it/" target="_blank" title="IBS"&gt;IBS&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;: sull&amp;#39;interessante &lt;a href="http://www.digitalmarketinglab.it/eventi/anobii-e-ibs-attrazione-fatale/" target="_blank"&gt;reportage di DigitalMarketingLab (alias Leonardo Bellini)&lt;/a&gt; ci sono tutti i dettagli e la registrazione audio dell&amp;#39;evento. 
&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
La comunit&amp;agrave; italiana su Anobii (nato a Hong Kong nel 2007) &amp;egrave; cresciuta notevolmente, e oggi &amp;egrave; la pi&amp;ugrave; grande:&lt;strong&gt; 1 utente su 4 &amp;egrave; italiano! &lt;/strong&gt;In effetti notavo da tempo che Anobii fosse molto popolare tra gli appassionati di libri: il mio amico Sergio ha addirittura comprato un lettore di codici a barre per PC per catalogare pi&amp;ugrave; velocemente la sua libreria! 
&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
Il fondatore Greg Sung ha pensato bene di sfruttare il suo mercato primario e cercare un &lt;strong&gt;partner commerciale &lt;/strong&gt;in Italia. In stile 2.0, &lt;strong&gt;IBS &amp;egrave; stato scelto con un sondaggio tra gli iscritti Anobii italiani&lt;/strong&gt;. L&amp;#39;alleanza ha tutti i numeri per funzionare, e il post sopra citato spiega il perch&amp;eacute;. Tra l&amp;#39;altro, dalle parole di Greg emerge la &lt;strong&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.albertofalossi.com/post/Facebook-a-pagamento.aspx" target="_blank"&gt;solita difficolt&amp;agrave;&lt;/a&gt; dei social network a trovare un modello di business sostenibile&lt;/strong&gt;.
&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
In ques&amp;#39;ottica l&amp;#39;alleanza &amp;egrave; molto azzeccata, ci sono vantaggi per entrambi &lt;strong&gt;senza stavolgimenti alle dinamiche dei siti&lt;/strong&gt;: per commentare e discutere si va su Anobii, per comprare si va su IBS. Tra l&amp;#39;altro credo che gli utenti di Anobii desiderassero in ogni caso la funzione &amp;quot;Compra questo libro&amp;quot;; quelli di IBS certo non si lamenteranno di trovare molti pi&amp;ugrave; commenti e recensioni.

Da oggi &lt;a href="http://www.google.com/mobile/default/maps.html"&gt;Google Mobile Maps&lt;/a&gt; ha una nuova funzione chiamata &lt;a href="http://www.google.com/latitude/intro.html" target="_blank"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Google Latitude&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/a&gt;. 
&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
Se un telefonino &amp;egrave; dotato di GPS &amp;egrave; possibile&lt;strong&gt; comunicare a Google la propria posizione. &lt;/strong&gt;E ovviamente &lt;strong&gt;visualizzare &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;strong&gt;in tempo reale &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;strong&gt;quella degli amici&lt;/strong&gt;:

Per tutelare la privacy, &amp;egrave; possibile scegliere chi &amp;egrave; autorizzato a vedere la propria posizione. Per adesso il servizio funziona solo con i contatti Gmail, il passo successivo sar&amp;agrave; probabilmente l&amp;#39;integrazione con &lt;a href="http://www.techcrunch.com/2008/12/04/google-friend-connect-now-open-to-all-websites/"&gt;Google Friend Connect&lt;/a&gt;. 
&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
Google Latitude non &amp;egrave; la prima applicazione del genere. Ma per la prima volta c&amp;#39;&amp;egrave; un player in grado di portarla alla &lt;strong&gt;diffusione di massa&lt;/strong&gt;. A quel punto si apriranno &lt;strong&gt;nuovi scenari/mercati &lt;/strong&gt;interessanti (speriamo anche per&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;terze parti con plugin e API) per applicazioni mobile, dagli incontri ai giochi. Immaginatevi poi il telefonino che spara AdSense mentre ci muoviamo..

Si tratta di un &lt;strong&gt;social network sul vino italiano&lt;/strong&gt;, che viene &lt;a href="http://blog.italianwinelist.it/italiano/2009/01/comunicato-stampa-italianwinelistit-il-fascino-20-del-vino-italiano-online-il-nuovo-social-network-d.html" target="_blank"&gt;lanciato ufficialmente oggi a Roma&lt;/a&gt;. Ho collaborato in fase di analisi e progettazione, quindi se c&amp;#39;&amp;egrave; qualcosa che non va... sapete di chi &amp;egrave; la colpa ;-)

Interessante &lt;a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.lucalani.com/company/facebook/il-buyer-di-proctergamble-non-compro-piu-banner-su-facebook" target="_blank"&gt;post di Luca Lani&lt;/a&gt; che - in occasione del &lt;a href="http://www.alleyinsider.com/2008/11/p-g-ad-man-i-don-t-want-to-buy-any-more-banners-on-facebook-" target="_blank"&gt;taglio&lt;/a&gt; della pubblicit&amp;agrave; di Procter &amp;amp; Gamble su Facebook - torna a parlare del business model del popolare social network. 
&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
E&amp;#39; ormai noto che &lt;strong&gt;monetizzare i social network a suon di ADV &amp;egrave; dura. &lt;/strong&gt;Facebook, magari tra qualche anno, potrebbe piuttosto decidere di far &lt;strong&gt;pagare il servizio&lt;/strong&gt;. Dopo che centinaia di milioni di persone hanno perso (molto) tempo a creare contatti, gruppi, pagine, caricare foto, battere gli amici a &lt;a href="http://apps.facebook.com/wordchallenge/gameinfo?pf_ref=x1017" target="_blank"&gt;WordChallenge&lt;/a&gt; ecc. sarebbe difficle rinunciare.
&lt;/p&gt;

In fondo, &lt;strong&gt;quanti non pagherebbero una piccola cifra - diciamo 5 euro - per l&amp;#39;abbonamento annuale?&lt;/strong&gt; Fate i calcoli voi...

L&amp;#39;ultimo caso &amp;egrave; quello del &lt;a href="http://www.tg1.rai.it/dl/tg1/" target="_blank"&gt;TG1&lt;/a&gt;, che in questi giorni ha lanciato l&amp;#39;iniziativa &lt;a href="http://www.tg1articolo.rai.it/R2_popup_articolofoglia/0,,1067150%5E1081129,00.html" target="_blank"&gt;Il TG1 sei Tu&lt;/a&gt;: &lt;strong&gt;i telespettatori possono inviare i loro filmati e servizi&lt;/strong&gt;, che la redazione inserir&amp;agrave; nel telegiornale se ritenuti interessanti. A chi &amp;egrave; abituato da anni a &lt;a href="http://www.youtube.com/" target="_blank"&gt;YouTube&lt;/a&gt; o &lt;a href="http://www.youreporter.it/" target="_blank"&gt;YouReporter&lt;/a&gt; scapper&amp;agrave; un sorrisino, ma bisogna riconoscere il tentativo di innovazione del &amp;quot;rigidissimo&amp;quot; TG1. Staremo a vedere.

Si pone in diretta concorrenza con &lt;a href="http://www.experts-exchange.com/" target="_blank"&gt;Experts Exchange&lt;/a&gt;, che &amp;egrave; a pagamento (anche se c&amp;#39;&amp;egrave; il &lt;a href="http://www.marcobellinaso.com/blog-ita/post/accesso-gratuito-a-expert-exchange.aspx" target="_blank"&gt;trucco&lt;/a&gt; ;-).

L&amp;#39;idea &amp;egrave; buona, il meccanismo funziona, e dopo 2 mesi di vita &lt;strong&gt;Stack Overflow &amp;egrave; gi&amp;agrave; un successo&lt;/strong&gt;: &lt;strong&gt;80.000 unici e 755.000 view al giorno&lt;/strong&gt;. Spesso quando ho un problema tecnico, invece di cercare su Google,
preferisco inviare la domanda al sito: ottengo la soluzione -
gratis - in meno di 20 minuti.&amp;nbsp;

&lt;p&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;Come &amp;egrave; stato possibile un successo cos&amp;igrave; rapido? Quanti investimenti ci sono stati?&lt;/strong&gt; 
&lt;/p&gt;

Iniziamo col dire che nel settore IT i blog dei fondatori &lt;a href="http://www.joelonsoftware.com/" target="_blank"&gt;Joel Spolsky&lt;/a&gt; e &lt;a href="http://www.codinghorror.com" target="_blank"&gt;Jeff Atwood&lt;/a&gt; sono molto famosi e sono seguiti da centinaia di migliaia di lettori. I due hanno parlato del loro progetto &lt;a href="http://www.codinghorror.com/blog/archives/001074.html" target="_blank"&gt;fin dall&amp;#39;inizio&lt;/a&gt;, e i lettori hanno potuto seguire e partecipare a tutte le fasi della &lt;em&gt;venture&lt;/em&gt;: il nome del sito, ad esempio, &amp;egrave; stato &lt;a href="http://www.codinghorror.com/blog/archives/001095.html" target="_blank"&gt;scelto con un sondaggio&lt;/a&gt;. &lt;strong&gt;I due popolari blog hanno portato velocemente e a costo 0 la massa critica di utenti &lt;/strong&gt;necessaria a far funzionare il sito autonomamente.
&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
Inoltre, grazie alla &lt;strong&gt;bravura dei programmatori&lt;/strong&gt;, il sito &lt;strong&gt;costa poche centinaia di dollari al mese&lt;/strong&gt; e per adesso &amp;egrave; &lt;strong&gt;autofinanziato&lt;/strong&gt;. Per la cronaca, non &amp;egrave; un caso che la competenza informatica si traduca in un enorme  vantaggio economico per una startup (vedi &lt;a href="http://www.albertofalossi.com/post/Guadagnare-500000%24-al-mese-con-2-ore-di-lavoro-al-giorno.aspx" target="_blank"&gt;PlentyOfFish&lt;/a&gt;). Ed &amp;egrave; anche vero che a volte si fa prima a lanciare in proprio un sito e vedere se funziona piuttosto che fare analisi e cercare i VC (vedi &lt;a href="http://www.albertofalossi.com/post/Truemors-venduta-a-NowPublic.aspx" target="_blank"&gt;Truemors&lt;/a&gt;).

Tornando all&amp;#39;interessante articolo &lt;a href="http://www.joelonsoftware.com/inc.html?14" target="_blank"&gt;The Unproven Path&lt;/a&gt;, Joel ammette di aver creato Stack Overflow&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&amp;quot;incoscientemente&amp;quot;, &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;strong&gt;ignorando le sue famose regole&lt;/strong&gt; per fare business nell&amp;#39;IT. Ad esempio, non ha seguito un iter formale di progettazione e test del software, e ha lavorato con un team a distanza anche se lo aveva sempre sconsigliato ai suoi clienti. 
&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
Ma c&amp;#39;&amp;egrave; un errore (come lo definisce Joel) che mi ha colpito in particolare: &lt;strong&gt;Stack Overflow non ha un modello di business&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;strong&gt;ancora definito&lt;/strong&gt;. Secondo quanto afferma l&amp;#39;autore, l&amp;#39;obiettivo &amp;egrave; attirare utenti, a come monetizzarli penser&amp;agrave; pi&amp;ugrave; avanti.
Joel e compari hanno promesso che il sito sar&amp;agrave; &lt;strong&gt;per sempre gratuito e senza ad troppo invadenti.&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;
&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
Detto tra noi, non credo che Joel abbia trascurato il business
model. Semplicemente preferisce non scoprire le carte, per (a) fare notizia e (b) attirare gli amanti del 100% free (tra cui gli insoddisfatti di Experts Exchange). In fondo gi&amp;agrave; adesso qualche timido bannerino c&amp;#39;&amp;egrave;, e probabilmente copre gi&amp;agrave; i costi. Staremo a vedere ;-) 
&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
Il messaggio di fondo &amp;egrave; che &lt;strong&gt;alcuni progetti hanno bisogno di pi&amp;ugrave; libert&amp;agrave;: &lt;/strong&gt;nel Web 2.0 avere meno vincoli (e pi&amp;ugrave; bug :-) pu&amp;ograve; essere fondamentale per concretizzare l&amp;#39;idea nel minor tempo possibile (&lt;em&gt;execution&lt;/em&gt;). Senza esagerare in stile annni 2000. E&amp;#39; chiaro che questo approccio non funzionerebbe con una startup con pi&amp;ugrave; dipendenti, con una infrastruttura hardware/software pi&amp;ugrave; complessa, con target non di nicchia, ecc.

Di sicuro l&amp;#39;articolo di Joel fa riflettere: tu che ne pensi? Sei affascinato o perplesso dalla sua strategia?&lt;br /&gt;
