That is because I have not been playing online poker much at all.

However, there are a couple cool developments.

1. Poker Stars now has a new tournament called The Sunday Storm. It is a $300K guarantee deep stack tournament that so far blows away its minimum. Last Sunday it hit about $450K.

Cost for the Sunday Storm is only $11. Crazy! So I have played that twice. First time I got ITM - moved up one money spot and then got taken out. Second time I got taken out about 20 minutes before ITM.

I really like this tournament and for $11 I can afford to play every Sunday.

2. Poker Stars now has created the ability to create private poker clubs. Real Money or Play Money - Cash Tables or Tournaments. There really are a lot of options. The only option I did not see is the ability to create a heads up tournament or a STT.

I created my own club. It is called Seven Duece Offsuit.

I misspelled it, but it is okay. I am thinking Deuce may have already been taken anyways.

I created what I think is a pretty cool logo. I will post it here later.

SO I am gather private club members and will be hosting some tournaments in the near future.

Plan For Taking Shots @ NL50

I have a plan for when I will take shots at NL50.

I currently play at NL25. I am a bit of a NIT on BR management. I need the emotional support of a larger BR for when downswings hit. It just helps me not TILT.

So my comfort zone for grinding any particular limit is 40 BI's (Buy Ins).

I will take a shot at the next limit when I have 50 BI's at the current limit - which is 25 BI's for the next limit.

If I lose 5 BI's taking a shot, then I move back down and rinse and repeat.

SO for NL50 - I need 50 buy-ins @ NL25. Currently I have 38.

Now if I get to 30 BI's at the new limit - I keep playing unless I drop to 20 BI's - then I move down - rinse and repeat.

I think this is a very comfortable BR management for taking shots for me. I won't tilt knowing I can move down with 40 BI's at the lower limit level.

I want to be taking shots until I can grind the higher limit - at least until NL200.

When taking shots - I may start with 4-6 tables. Believe it or not, I prefer to play at least 4 tables because it helps with variance and tilt. If all I had was 2 tables - I would see less good hands and might play differently. But at 4-6 tables - you see a good variety of hands and are getting action on at least one or two tables at all times.

So that is the plan.

Bankroll is back on track after Variance/Tilt Smackdown

I lost 13 buy-ins in one day due to my variance and tilt.

I've won back 7 of those buy-ins in the past couple days.

I have definitely been seeing a lot more coolers lately. That is where I have the best hand and get all the money it only to see the villian outdraw me. Happened literally 3 times this morning in under 20 minutes. I laughed. No tilt. I think that is drastic improvement. I ended that 20 minutes session ahead .61 buy-ins nonetheless.

I am only $122 away from being back where I started when Tilt/Variance kicked in.

My Bankroll sits at $700 today. I was at $822 when Tilt/Variance smacked me down. If I have a decent weekend (Friday/Saturday/Sunday) - I can make that $122 and be a happy camper come Monday.

My PT3 stacks are still looking good. Obviously my BB/100 went waaaay down for NL25 after the 13 BI downswing. But the other stats are good. I increased my Blind Steals % to 22%. My goal is 30+.

My BB/100 at NL25 is about 0.95BB/100. For all limits it is 1.5BB/100.

I look forward to the day when I can lose 10 buy-ins and not have my BB/100 go down below 3BB/100. Currently I have about 22K hands logged. So by the time that hits 100K - 10 buy-ins downswing shouldn't effect my BB/100 much.

That is the goal - 100K hands.

Variance Smacked Me and Tilt Wasn't Far Behind

Yup...it was inevitable. Tilt.

I was running good for a month or so. Past few days I have been having losing sessions. Last night I fired up 9 tables of NL25 and within an hour donated over 4 Buy-Ins. At least 1 of those buy-ins was tilt. Perhaps the other 3 were just variance. But something tells me maybe not.

Variance can hide tilt. The only way to find out for sure is to have review sessions of losing hands.

The real Tilt though was when I decided to go try 4 tables at NL50 right after losing 4 buy-ins at 25NL. I did ok for a while, then I donated $40+. I had A8o and the board was ugly. There was 3 to a flush, two tens, and one Ace. Anyway you looked at it I was beat. So why did I call the River All-In for another $27 - because I was on Tilt - that is why!

LOL.

But to be honest, I was more disappointed than angry. My tilt is under control mostly. I did not yell, scream, or destroy my mouse or keyboard. I just sort of laughed it off.

I knew I tilted - knew I donked a buy-in.

Such is poker.

So tonight I regroup back to my ABC game and try to recoup my winning strategy. I can make up the past few days losings - roughly 9 buy-ins - in a matter of two weeks.

My bankroll for NL25 still sits at a healthy 33 Buy-ins. Mostly I donked away my winnings for the past few weeks.

Funny how winnings are never as big as tilt sessions or variance.

Funny how over confident we get in our ability to constantly beat the game until variance kicks in. Then we start questioning our abilities.

But I will not be dismayed from my Poker dream. Just a small setback in the middle of the month. Plenty of time to recover.

100th Post!

Today is my 100th blog post....I think that is pretty cool.

Well I am doing great at NL25. Yesterday I 9-Tabled for one hour and won 3+ buy-ins.

Then this morning I woke up early and played another hour and won another 2.5 buy-ins.

So now I have 12,500 hands in NL25 and my BB/100 is 2.99

That is grreeeaaaat!

Additionally, FTP sent me $20 cash - just out of the blue. Not bonus, straight up cash. I have no idea why, but I am not one to complain about getting free $.

Today is Friday and you know what that means!? - It is RakeBack payday! Today I got $15 - my largest RakeBack payday so far. It will only getting bigger.

I also have cleared $80 out of $100 of my current FTP bonus. I have never fully cleared ANY bonus before - so I am quite happy!

My NL25 game seems to be solid. I have logged about 20 hours. I tweaked my game a little about a week or so ago and the results have been great.

Basically I was limping in with pocket pairs (22-99) and Axs flush draws. I changed that to raising from any position. The exception is if someone limps in or raises - then I just normally call. I rarely chase sets - but I will chase if in late position against 1-2 players and they limp raise. I may also chase flopped flush draws very cheap.

I also changed my standard raise from 4bb to 3bb - that saves me money and doesn't seem to effect how the other players play.

I also started stealing blinds from the cutoff and button with any A or K. That has worked out very well. My PokerTracker stats for blind stealing at NL25 was at 14% - which is way too low. It needs to be around 30%. So after about 3000 hands of blind stealing is has crept up to 17%.

Also - because I am raising my pocket pairs and A high flush draws - I end up stealing the pots 50% of the time. All this adds nicely to my bottom line.

Pocket 10's, JJ's, an QQ's I raise and re-raise. I try to CCBet 2/3 of the time. At NL25 I discovered a LOT of players are also set trapping or flush trapping and will fold to a missed flop - but they will raise the turn if it gets checked to them regardless of the fact that they missed.

Since I made those changes my NL25 has drastically improved.

Looking forward to playing 10+ hours of poker this weekend. The next 2-3 sessions will really solidify my confidence in my strategy and eliminate the luck and variance factor. I have already increased my starting BR 40% in only 30 hours. Once my BR hits $1000 (only $225 to go) - I will have double my BR.

I plan to grind out NL25 for 100K hands. I need to know I am beating this level before I start grinding NL50.

My game won't change much until I hit $200NL. Each level requires tweaking - mainly adjusting to players playing more Tight, less bluffing - but more raises and 3 & 4 betting Pre-flop and flop.

Looking forward to it!

9-Tabling 25NL at FTP Going Good

I don't post as often as I should. I'll try to post more often in the future.

Well for those of you who read my blog you know that I used to play on Poker Stars. But recently I made the move to Full Tilt Poker (FTP). I still have about $70 at Poker Stars, but my focus currently is at FTP.

I like FTP a LOT better than PS.

First, I get a 27% Rakeback from RakeMeBack.com. That easily adds about 25% more money to my bottom line.

Secondly, FTP offers bonuses way more often than PS. Plus I like FTP's Iron Man VIP program where I can earn up to 900 medals a month and trade in 3000 medals for a $600 bonus. Another great option is I can trade in either 140 medals or 400 medals for either a $26 Tournament Ticket or $75 Tournament Ticket, respectively.

Thirdly, EVERY year in December FTP gives everyone that qualified for Iron Man a bonus. The amount depends on what level of Iron Man you got between July - December. If you get the top Iron Man for all 6 months then your Year End bonus is $600 (The Max). They also have a mid-year bonus!

The list goes on and on. FTP has a better Steps tournament system - allowing you to exchange Step 3 tickets and up for equal value Cash tournament tickets (Awesome!). FTP software is lightning fast! FTP software remembers your where your tables were at on the screen - so when I Multi-Table - the new window correctly re-sizes and goes exactly where the old table was - saves me a LOT of time.

So I am very sold on FTP.

But back to my grind update!

So it has been a little bit of a roller coaster. A few days I lost about 3 Buy-Ins and then a few days I won a few Buy-Ins. So those days all equaled out. But I am still winning in NL25 after passing the 10,000 hand mark yesterday. I think my BB/100 for 25NL is about .5

That is very short of my 3BB/100 goal - but I experienced major turbulence in my first 10,000 hands. Dollar wise I am up $60 in 25NL after 10,000 hands.

My goal is to play 100,000 hands at NL25 and have a 3BB/100. That would mean I have a solid NL25 game and I can then move up to NL50.

If I do hit my 3BB/100 hands while 9-Tabling NL25 - I would be earning about $11.5 per hour.

If you include RakeBack, that number jumps to about $13.50.

If I am also working on a FTP bonus at the same time, the number jumps to $16.80
(Complicated formula because Bonuses take away from your gross Rakeback.)

So the ideal goal on FTP would be to play at least 25 days a month and earn 5000 FTP points. Doing those two things gets me the highest Iron Man level. If I earn the highest Iron Man level for 5 months, then when I earn it in Month 6 - I start accruing 1000 medals a month (choosing to opt in for the extra Iron Man Medals gives me the extra 100 a month).

Then every 3 months I can trade in 3000 medals for a $600 bonus. At NL25 9-Tabling, I figure I release about $6 per hour. That means I release the whole bonus in 6.5 weeks or 100 hours of 9-Tabling.

Unfortunately, that means going 6 weeks without a bonus.

I'll look into if I can use my FTP points to buy more bonuses.

But keep in mind I also get mid-year and end of year bonuses. So I would say at least 9 out of 12 months a year I could be working on a bonus. If I can trade in FTP points for Bonuses, then most of the year I'll be working off bonuses.

It is always better to have RakeBack and a Bonus going at the same time!

By the way - RakeMeBack.com pays rakeback every Friday. Man I love that!

So I can make $800+ per month 9-Tabling NL25 fifteen hours a week. That would be awesome! We'll see what the reality actually turns out to be.

Till next time!

Grinding Cash Games On FTP

I am back in the saddle again. It has been a pretty long time since I was grinding cash games.

So my bankroll is currently $190 - which is under-bankrolled. However, I plan on depositing $310 to bring it up to my 50 Buy-In standard.

I am grinding $10 NL - 4 tabling.

So far so good. It has been about 4 days. I am using Poker Tracker to track my progress. After about 2200 hands I am averaging 8BB/100 hands. My goal is 3BB/100. 2200 hands is nothing. The first real test level is around 10,000 hands. Then 20,000 hands. And if I am averaging at least 3BB/100 hands at 30,000 hands I will be satisfied that I am beating that level.

By the way let me define what I mean by 3BB/100. BB means Big Bet. In cash games you have two blinds - the little blind and the big blind. The big blind is referred to as bb. Once you get to the Turn card the minimum bet is twice the big blind and it is referred to as BB for Big Blind. So you have bb and BB.

So a winning player should be winning on average 3X BB. So in a $10NL cash game, the Blinds are $0.05 for the small blind and $0.10 for the big blind. The reason it is called $10NL is because the maximum buy-in is 100 big blinds. So $0.10 X 100 = $10.00.

So in $10NL the big blind is $0.10 and the Big Bet is $0.20.

Hopefully that makes sense, if not re-read until it does.

So, a winning player at $10NL should be making 3 X BB which equals 3 X $0.20 = $0.60 per 100 hands.

So in my Poker Tracker it specifically shows what my 3BB is. I keep an eye on that number - to me it is one of the most important statistics over the long haul.

3BB per 100 hands is a realistic goal for a winning player. You will have swings where that number goes way higher and way lower, but over 100,000 hands you should be at least at 3BB.

For $10NL I think I can make at least 3BB/100. My strategy has been tight-aggressive. I don't invest heavily in blind stealing or set trapping. I try not to CB (Continuation Bet) to much on the flop with more than 2 other players. My starting hand range is top 15-20% and very position specific.

So far this strategy has worked very well for FR (full ring). I started by playing 6Max and that did not go very well. Too bad - I really like 6 max. 6Max is my ultimate goal. I will need to determine the best strategy for tight aggressive winning play.

My goals are to definitively beat $10NL before moving up to the next level. 50,000 hands is probably the minimum. Of course I will play past 50,000 hands if I am not winning at that time.

My long term goals is play at the $200NL Full Ring level.

My bankroll management requirements are the following:

1. I call it quits if I lose 5 buy-ins in a day. I chose 5 buy-ins because I know I can lose 3 buy-ins and win back 4-5 buy-ins. At some time in the past I realized my average buy-in swing is 3 back or 3 ahead. So if I lose 5 buy-ins then I am on a losing streak and need to call it a day, but if I only lose 3 buy-ins then I can still win them back.

2. I never risk more than 10% of my bankroll in any one day. That number is twice as high as I would prefer, but at these micro levels it is acceptable risk. So my bankroll is determined by 5 buy-ins divided by 10%. Since I am willing to lose 5 buy-ins in one day and that cannot be greater than 10% of my bankroll - it determines my minimum bankroll of 50 buy-ins.

3. I move up when I have 100 buy-ins. I will take a shot at the next buy-in level with 10 buy-ins. If I lose those 10 buy-ins, I move back down. When I hit 100 buy-ins again, I take another shot. Rinse and repeat. The only exception to the 100 buy-in rule is I prefer to have a 3BB/100 minimum win rate. But that is flexible.

That is about it.

Played more $3.25 Turbo 6-Max STT's

Last night I played a half dozen or so Turb's - STT 6 max $3.25. I did not do so well. I was getting my money in when it was good, but getting out drawn. The luck of some of the players was phenomenal. One particular table was full of very tight aggressive players - which is uncommon at this level. I did not adapt to their tight playing and ended up in an 4-way all-in battle at the $200/400 +$25 ante blind levels. I went out in 4th. doh.

I then tried a heads up match. lost pretty quick. Another player on a lucky streak.

So I figured - okay - one $5.25 heads up match. If I lose, I am done for the night. First hand I got A6o on the button - so I raised it up 3BB. Got called. Flop comes something like 482 rainbow. I bet full pot - get raised - so I go all in. SOB had pocket KK. Amazing. My luck was terrible. I called it a night.

So this morning I woke up around 5 am. Very unusual for me, I normally sleep in until I must get up to get to work. Today though I was fully rested.

I had a cup of joe and fired up a $2.20 heads up match. I lost 4 in a row. I figured until I win one of these heads up matches, no point in wasting time in a Turbo 6 max with my luck. Faster to let the luck build up first.

Finally I won the fifth heads up match.

So I fired up a 6 max turbo $3.25.

2 hours later I lost 2 tournaments and took 1st in 3. Overall, even with all the losing heads up matches and 2 no money 6 max's - I was ahead $10 for the morning. I was even ahead $5 from last nights losses.

I am kicking ass with these $3.25 6 max turbo STT's. Tons of 1st places. This mornings bankroll was a measly $60 - so ending at $70 is a 14.5% increase. That is amazing! Overall my bankroll has doubles almost 3 times in less than a week. Unheard of.

Anyhoo. I will continue playing. The goal is to have a 50 Buy-In bankroll for the level I am playing. I would play the $1.20 6 max STT - but they don't have them in Turbos and I am all into the Turbo right now.

So I have about 21 Buy-In's for my $3.25 level - still acceptable - especially since I am killing this level lately.

STT Turbo 6-MAX Tournaments - $3.30

I have been playing these single table Turbo 6max tournaments on Poker Stars lately and killing them. Yesterday I played 5 tournaments - placed 1st in 3 of them and 2nd in one of them. The past 5 days I have taken my $10 bankroll (I started over) and built it up to $60!

To be fair, I have also been playing $2.20 heads up matches about a third of the time - and winning a good number of those too.

I know these are micro levels - but it feels great to be on a winning streak.

Proper bankroll for Turbo 6 max is 50 buy-ins. So I am not employing good BR management yet. I need $165 for that goal. However, that assumes I could go on a loosing streak of 10-15 tournaments - which I don't think would happen at this level. However, it is always a good idea to employ good BR management regardless of level so that when you are playing at the higher levels, it is second nature.

One thing I have learned from experience is tilt is greatly reduced if you are playing with only 2% of your bankroll. If I go on a 6 in a row losing streak, it would still only represent 12% of my bankroll - and keeping that in perspective should lessen the chances of going on tilt.

I will say that I tried 2-tabling the 6-max Turbos and that was a little tricky. I did place 1st in both - but I was sweating to keep up.

Won A Step 3 Tournament Ticket On Poker Stars

I haven't posted in a looong time. Stopped playing mostly due to needing to liquidate my bankroll for bills.

But I still have over 6000 FPP's on Poker Stars. I used 500 FPP's a month ago to play a step 1 tournament. I won a step 2 ticket. Then I played the Step 2 tournament and won my step 2 ticket back.

I took a week or two off and then last night played again - this time I won a step 3 ticket. Woooo!

I will try tonight to win a step 4 ticket. Then I have to decide to either try for a step 5 ticket or trade it in for a Sunday Millin ticket.

I would like to try for either the Las Vegas WSOP package or the Carribean PCA package. So I decided to try a $55 9-man SNG yesterday. I only have played this level of SNG once - years ago and it was 6 max and a disaster.

This time around I did much better. I played TAG and ended up heads up. My opponent had a stack twice as large as mine - and we ended up all in on the flop. I had K10o and the flop was a rainbow 10, 2, 8. Opponent had J8o. He hit is J on the turn and won the tournament.

My goal was just to make it to 3rd place for a nice $90. 2nd paid $135. I could have taken first with a little luck - for a nice $225 prize.

I was happy to win that $135. It made up for some of my losses at the cash tables.

I also was playing a $10+1 27-man SNG at the same time. I made it to the final table and got sucked out on the river for a 7th place finish. ITM was top 5. Doh!

I am going to switch to tournaments for a bit. Cash tables are sucking me dry lately.

With poker stars new VIP levels, making silver VIP is very easy now. I made Silver VIP last month and am half way to silver vip for this month too.

I would love to hit Gold VIP - haven't done that yet.

I'll probably go back to playing $10 SNG. Although I may try to do MTT's instead. SNG's can get boring. 27-man SNG are fun and I have a good record of final tabling.

The Cause & Effect Law & Poker

Poker is a merit based system of cause and effect. Your only focus should be on making correct decisions. Your decisions should not be effected by losing or winning money, but by simply doing what is mathematically and psychologically correct. In the final analysis, you will make money if you make more correct decisions than incorrect decisions.

Life is very much the same way. Everyone has a moral compass telling us what the correct moral decision is. If we allow our emotions to persuade us to make selfish decisions that are not aligned with our moral compass - that is an incorrect decision and will count against you in the game of life.

If you do not allow your emotions to change your correct decision making, eventually the balance will return and you will reap the benefits.

For example - in poker you can have a losing session (day), losing week, losing month, even a losing quarter. That means as you ride the roller coaster of poker, winning and losing money, at the end of the day, week, month, or quarter - you can be in the negative. That is called variance in poker. But if you continue to play correctly, making positive expected value decisions - you will eventually swing into the positive and at the end of the half year or full year - you will still end up making the average income you expected to make.

Any long term professional poker player understands what it means to play near perfectly (+EV) and still loose 10% of your money at the end of 3 months of play. You have to continue playing +EV regardless of your current down swing in order for things to swing back in your favor.

Life is the same. You can do all the right things based on your moral compass and still get hit in the face by life. Your dog dies, your car is totaled in an accident, you lose half your 401K value in a stock market crash, you get robbed and beat up, etc.

Many people, even of the strongest religious faith, lose faith in the law of Karma when their lives turn to crap.

"I did the right thing and I got the shaft - WTF?!"

Then they turn to making selfish immoral decisions figuring if they are going to get the shaft anyways, might as well get "Mine" while the getting is good.

This of course changes your future Karma and begins a self-fulfilling prophecy that did not need to occur.

In poker this is synonymous of going on tilt. You start playing foolishly, leaking chips to your non-tilting opponents. You start bluffing too much with too much money and start losing big time.

In life you increase your bad luck when you go on tilt.

In reality, when things are at their worse and you have faithfully been navigating the sea of life with your moral compass - that is when things are about to change for the better. When things are at their worse is when you need to be even more vigilant in your correct decisions because the tide is about to change. The storm cannot last forever.

In poker when the tide changes from variance to hot streak - you can not only make up your losses, but you can make a lot of profit and swing in the opposite direction. A negative $1000 quarter turns into a positive $3000 half year. When averaged out, you will realize you never lost $1000 - but you always were making $1500 a quarter. Then you realize your expected poker winnings over the long term is right on par. Your extreme winnings and extreme losings have evened out and you are still profitable.

Life is the same.

If only people understood cause and effect.

Going From Wal-Mart Employee To Professional Online Poker Player (or not)

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 295px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5WBmccXnF7myDAyp4v-scb7_0rSh8Ho1AoLC1EcBVHF5zoBthIwbRXesJOLKriddwExGCln_yoskBLPrOxR2Tq9wtUwuNmLreOnCLAUcT4NKRA9PGXPr1QlbhGjypDkpgawIlDFReUF0/s400/WalMart.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5439707026534525266" />
If you can read this and understand it, then you are either ready to play online poker for money or you know for sure you should not play online poker for money.

Either way, you probably won't understand this unless you have played online poker for money for at least a few years.

Thus the irony.

I play online poker for money and completely understand everything in this article. I did NOT write this article, thus I have included a link to the person who did - please do click on the link and buy that man a beer for such a great article.

It references things without referencing them - like you understand them, such as Bankroll management, Rakeback, Big Bets per 100 hands (BB/100), etc.

But the humor makes this worth the read, even if you have no idea about some of the terminology. Rakeback? I had no idea I needed my back scratched!

The end is obviously true for many paths of life. If you manage to succeed leaving your crappy Wal-Mart job and start pulling in the big duckets - beware! That is where most people increase their debts to match their new incomes. Same reason lotterly winners are worse off in under 5 years. Rags to riches is not the whole story. The whole story is Rags To Riches To Rags.

Happy Reading!

http://www.spoonitnow.com/wordpress/how-to-stack-paper-to-the-ceiling-part-1/

How to Stack Paper to the Ceiling (Part 1)

If you don’t know what stacking paper to the ceiling means, feel free to reference the Urban Dictionary entry on the subject.

So suppose you’re a hobbyist player who makes their way to the not-so-dizzy heights of 25nl. You are a member of the working class, have a regular 9-5 job, and manage to put in 12 hours of play at the tables each week (along with another 3 hours of study each week), for an average of about 50 hours each month. You get in about 500 hands an hour, and make 2.5 ptbb/100 in winnings along with another 1 ptbb/100 in rakeback. You’re only able to study enough to keep up with the games getting tougher so that your win-rate stays the same at 25nl indefinitely. You have a super solid starting bankroll of about $1000.

Poker has become a side income for you that yields about $8.75 an hour total. This is on par with or maybe even slightly better than your hourly wage at your job, but you can’t quit your job for poker because of its shaky legal situation and other factors. This 50 hours of poker each month gives you about $437.50 extra on average before taxes, and we’ll say $333 a month after taxes because that’s close for most places in the USA for the working class and it’s a nice even number. So how can you use this extra $333 a month to stack paper to the ceiling?

After taxes this extra $333 a month is another $4000 a year. We’re going to assume that $1500 of this gets burned up in random expenses that your normal job can’t cover because you don’t have health or dental insurance, and your piece of shit car needs repairs. You add $1500 of the remaining money to your poker bankroll, and the $100o left over into a savings account as an emergency fund.

Now after one year of work, your poker bankroll has increased from a solid $1000 to $2500. You have $1000 in a savings account, and now something crazy happening in life isn’t going to completely destroy your ability to make money. You are one step closer to escaping the working class and financial freedom.

You decide it’s time for you to step your game up and invest time and money into the future of your poker game. You invest $500 of your poker bankroll into coaching and site subscriptions. You take your 15 hours of poker time each week and instead of playing 12 and studying 3, you decide you’re going to play 10 and study 5.

How to Stack Paper to the Ceiling (Part 2)

Your first 2 months you stay at 25nl, making on average your same 3.5 ptbb/100 after rakeback. At 40 hours a month, you make $700 profit in your first two months. In your second two months, you continue your study but your win-rate has raised to 4.0 ptbb/100 total after rakeback. During these second two months, you make $800 in profit. Your hard work is starting to pay small dividends, but you have to cash out $500 to pay for some unexpected expenses that came up. That leaves you with $1000 profit after four months, which you decide to invest as a stop-loss and move up to 50nl.

You decide to drop tables at 50nl and only get 400 hands an hour. Your rakeback also drops to 0.8 ptbb/100 because you hit the $3 cap on the rake more often now. So in your first month of 50nl, you get in 40 hours of play at 400 hands an hour for a total of 16,000 hands. You make $128 in rakeback, but in your first month of play you only make 1.5 ptbb/100 in winnings which is another $480. Rounding your rakeback down to $120 means you made $600 in May, the fifth month of your second year.

For the next three months, you continue playing fewer tables of 50nl getting 400 hands an hour. You have an average win-rate of 2.2 ptbb/100, which means after rakeback you made 3 ptbb/100, or $12 an hour. At around 40 hours of play a month, you make about another $1500 over these three months.

With four months left to go in your second year, you decide to move back up to the original number of tables you were playing at 25nl, and play out the rest of the year at 500 hands an hour making 3 ptbb/100 at 50nl after rakeback. At around 40 hours a month over 4 months, you make about $2500.

How to Stack Paper to the Ceiling (Part 3)

So over this second year, you’ve made an extra $6100. After taxes, that’s going to be about $4500, $500 of which you had to spend in the first part of the year on some unexpected expenses, and we’ll say you spent another $1000 on various dumb shit because you’re a working class Wal-Mart employee who isn’t used to having much money at all. Another $500 went to more coaching in the second half of the year. This leaves $2500 that you have to decide what to do with. You decide to put another $1000 in your savings account, bringing the total to $2000, and the other $1500 into your poker bankroll, bringing that total to $4000.

Now we’re going into year 3. At 500 hands an hour, you have improved to 3.5 ptbb/100 after rakeback at 50nl. For the entire year, you continue at 50nl studying on your own with a 10/5 split of playing to studying per week. The plan for this year is to build up some cushion in preparation for moving up in stakes. Over this year you make $8400, and get to keep about $6000 of it after taxes. You’ve spent $2000 of it on various things, and now you have $4000 to split up. You decide to invest $1000 of it in a better computer set-up, put $1000 of it in your savings account, and leave the other $2000 in your poker bankroll.

After three years you’ve made considerable progress. You have more than doubled your poker hourly win-rate, have a $6000 bankroll, along with $3000 in your savings account and a new computer set-up that allows you to increase your hands per hour to 600 without sacrificing playing strength.

Meanwhile you picked up an amazingly rare $1/hour in raises at Wal-Mart which barely would have allowed you to keep up with inflation and the increases in minimum wage.

How to Stack Paper to the Ceiling (Part 4)

Year four begins with you playing your normal game at 50nl, but you decide to spend $1000 of your poker bankroll on coaching and efforts to help you move up to 100nl after six months. Your win-rate averages 4 ptbb/100 after rakeback now, and you’re doing 600 hands an hour at 50nl. Six months of play at this win-rate getting 40 hours a month of play is about $5800.

At the beginning of July (the 7th month for those who can’t count on their fingers very quickly), you make the move to 100nl and get slapped like a bitch for two months, even though you drop tables and are only getting 400 hands/hour. You are a slightly losing player, only breaking even after rakeback. In the meantime, you decide to dedicate another $1000 to your coaching efforts over the last 6 months of year 4.

In the last four months of year four, you finally start winning at 100nl at an average of 2 ptbb/100 after rakeback. You make about $2600 over this time period, still working hard on your game, spending one-third of your poker time studying and getting coached.

Now year four comes to an end. You made $8400, which after taxes is about $6000 you get to keep. You spent $2000 on coaching, which leaves $4000 for you to do something with. You put half of it in your savings account, bringing that up to a staggering $5000, and half of it in your poker bankroll, giving you $8000 in your poker bankroll.

How to Stack Paper to the Ceiling (Part 5)

Going into year five, your escape from Wal-Mart feels close, but you have to show patience. You decide that you should play the entire year at 100nl and build up more of a cushion before you decide to figure out how you’re going to make your escape. You average 2.5 ptbb/100 after rakeback, and average 500 hands/hour over the course of the year at 100nl.

You maintain your 10/5 split of playing to studying, and continue getting coaching on a fairly regular basis from winning mid-stakes players. You manage to profit $12,000 from poker, pay $3000 of it in taxes, and have $8000 left over. You spent $2000 of that on coaching and other learning devices, which leaves you with $6000. You put $2000 of that in your online bankroll to make that an even $10,000, and put the remaining $4000 in your savings account, making that $9000.

So you start to make your plans to get out of the working class. You don’t want to play poker for the rest of your life, so you decide you should go to school for whatever. Before poker, you were barely living off about $1300 a month, so you decide that around $2000 a month (after taxes) would be plenty to live off of while going to school, not counting tuition and other fees associated with going to school.

You decide that if you were to play full time that you would dedicate 40 hours each week to poker. Of that time, 25 hours would be playing, and 15 hours would be studying and hand reviews and receiving coaching and all of that type of thing. If you maintain your current win-rate, you’ll get in about 100 hours of play each month which will give you about $2500 per month before taxes. You know that’s pretty close, but if you had a big downswing it could put some stress on things, so at this point you have options.

One option would be to take your shot now and quit your job. Another option, and a much better one at that, would be to spend another year or two at Wal-Mart or some other shitty low-paying job and spend time raising your win-rate and money reserves any more. This second option is much, much better because after you do that, there’s is virtually nothing that can touch you and pull you back into the working class again.

How to Stack Paper to the Ceiling (Part 6)

We’ve followed one path someone could take to try to use poker as a vehicle to escape the working class in parts 1-5. Now we’re going to look at some of the pitfalls of trying to do something like this, which are really pitfalls for anyone who are trying to build anything in similar situations.

Everyone has heard stories about how some poor bastard wins a large amount in the lottery, takes a 6-figure or 7-figure lump sum payment for his prize, and then five years later is back where he or she started, broke as hell. The question is how could someone who has lived off of less than $10 an hour for a long period of time possibly be given that much money and run through it all? The answer is really simple and is the basis of the biggest problems people will have with pulling something off like what I’ve described in parts 1-5 of this series. The answer is, simple and plain, that they buy lots and lots of stupid shit.

With that out of the way, let’s look at a slightly more intricate way of thinking about the same thing. Any person trying to undertake something like this has two things that matter for this discussion. The first thing that matters is an income, which is all of the money and resources combined that you’re given either through work or welfare or finding $20 in the mall on the ground. The second thing that matters is the total of your expenses. If you are exactly making ends meet, then your expenses equal your income.

The problem comes as part of our culture: when our income increases, we seem to automatically increase our expenses. We simply do not save money or plan for the future because we are too caught up in the allure of having things. Now these things could be a $1.50 drink at the store or a $1500 TV whenever the one we have is doing just fine.

So the biggest problem that people will face in trying to do something like this is that they will waste their money. In poker we often see new players spend enough of their bankrolls that they can’t continue to move up quickly, and this is a good example of that. In real life we often see or know of people who have tons of debt for a house that’s bigger than what they need, a car that’s newer and more expensive than what they need, or whatever dumb shit they’ve decided to waste their money on. Again, it’s the same thing.

If you want to make this type of thing work, you have to save up money. And you can’t save money if you’re spending it.

New Poker Strategy - Bankroll

Hello World!

I have been on a poker vacation for most of the last 3 months. No good reason - just did not feel like playing. At one point I almost completely cashed out my bankroll to pay some bills.

But my bankroll is back and I have sat down and penciled in some strategies for bankroll management and how to start paying myself an income from my poker.

Here are the basics.

1.
Bankroll requirement for a limit is 40 Buy-Ins.
For now my Buy-In consists of 70 big-blinds.

2.

I have a daily stop loss of 4 buy-ins.
That is actually a dollar amount equal to 4 buy-ins.

3.

If I am winning, I reset my daily stop loss for each buy in I am ahead.

For example; Let's say my bankroll is $1400, my buy-in is $35, and my stop loss is $140. If my bankroll goes down to $1260, I stop for the day. But if I win a buy-in right away, then I reset my daily stop loss based on a starting bankroll of $1435.

See how that works?

This way I do not limit my winning streak, but I do lock in my winnings if my luck starts to change. In the case where I win a buy-in and then lose 4 buy-ins, I would simply limit my losses.

4.

If I lose 10 buy-ins, I have to move down to the next lower limit. I have to play at that limit until I once again have 40 buy-ins for the next higher limit.

5.

I move up to the next limit - or what is called taking a shot - when all of the below is accomplished:

a. My bankroll is at least 40 buy-ins for the next higher limit
b. >10K hands played at the current limit
c. Equal or greater than 3 Big Bets/100 hands according to Poker Tracker 3.

6.

I will play 6 tables at a time.

a. 4 tables income will be reinvested in the poker bankroll
b. 2 tables incomes will be withdrawn bi-weekly as poker income.

8 These are the ways to increase poker income:

a. Play more hands per day/week/month
b. Play more tables at a time
c. Move up to the next limit
d. Take shots at tournaments (using Frequent Player Points?)

Currently I have 11K hands at $50NL. My BB/100 is 2. My bankroll is $1700.

So I am not ready to move up to $100NL.

In order to take a shot at $100NL I need to:

a. Increase my BB/100 to 3
b. Have a bankroll of $2800.

I may determine at a later date that the best I can do is 2BB/100 hands. If that is the case, then all I need to a bigger bankroll. But I want another 10K hands at $50NL before I assume 2BB/100 is going to be the best I can hope for.

As they say, as long as you are making a profit, you can play at that limit. The only determination will be where I can make the most money.

At $50NL, 6-tabling and averaging 3BB/100 hands - my 2 table profits will be about $50 per week.

Right now that extra $200 a month will help out a lot. We need to double our grocery budget which currently is at $250 per month. When I move up to $100 NL we will then have $400 a month. We also need to increase our spending money by $200 a month.

So $100NL is my first major goal - it will bring our monthly budget up to reality.

Then I plan to try to increase my monthly poker income to $1000 a month. $500 will go towards our monthly budget and the other $500 will go towards paying off our debt.

I now have the full version of poker tracker 3 - so I will continue to post cool graphs and updates as they come.

Keep checking back to see how this poker grind continues in 2010!

- Albino Smurf

I hosted my second home poker game

Hello Poker Fans.

I haven't played poker at all this month. WTF!?

Actually, I am been either very busy or sick.

I am on vacation for 11 days starting December 23rd, so maybe I can plug in some time at the online tables.

I've been doing a lot of charity work this month and just never really got the overwhelming desire to log in some hours at the tables. - Go figure.

Well, I did host a second home poker game at my apartment clubhouse. This time I hosted a tournament - no limit Texas Hold'em of course. That is the only way I play my friends.

There were 9 players, everyone got the option of 1 re-buy if they lost all their chips, and the game went on for 4 hours. That is a long time for a 9 player tournament!

You could re-buy even if it was heads up. We had one player re-buy when he went out in 4th place, which was the money bubble. Not a bad strategy since 4rd place would have paid $56. Did not work out for him though - but we appreciate the added dead money.

I made it heads up and went out in second place for a cool prize of $85. I never had to re-buy, which I am of course proud of. 5 out of 9 people did re-buy - which made the prize pool very nice.

The buy-in was $20 and the re-buy the same.

Of course I hosted, and though it was a potluck, I always go a little overboard to ensure we all have a great experience. I spent about $80 on snacks, beer, water, soda, etc. So really, if you minus my buy in, I made $65. But when you minus the hosting cost - the poker night cost me $15. I am totally cool with that.

I'll get better at this hosting.

Next time my plan is to charge everyone $8 and I'll take care of all the drinks, snacks, etc.

It'll save me money and then we won't have all the extra food at the end. Then if I actually make any money at the poker night, it will really be profit.

I am still Silver VIP until the end of the month - too bad I won't get to keep that for January. Too bad I did not rack up a bunch of FPP's with my 50% multiplier. I just did not get the desire this month to play online poker.

Shame I tell you. Shame.

Poker Grind Update

Well I had an interesting poker weekend. On Wednesday night I continued my winning streak by earning another $50. However, I played another session at midnight and lost about $100. Sigh.

I am up for the month of November about $6. LOL.

Today is the last day of November and if I get to play tonight - it will be interesting to see if I end the month in the positive or negative. You got to play to win and I am not going to skip tonight just so I can finish the month in the positive.

But I still may not get time to play tonight. We will see how it goes.

I am not worried about the $100 lost - it is about 3 buy-ins at my current level. ($35 Buy-Ins). That equals about two days profit. For $50NL my profit was at almost $400 and now it is back at around $300. Still just happy to be in the positive.

I have a long ways to go at $50NL. I need to get to a point where losing 3 buy-ins doesn't drastically change much. Losing $100 right now equals more than 10% of my bankroll. But more importantly because I only have about 10K hands at $50NL, it drastically changed my $50NL BB/100 hands statistic. It was at 3.5 and now is at 1.6. That is a huge difference!

In other news - I have almost 5000 FPP's. I earned about 1700 VPP's in the month of November. I did not play enough to make Gold - but I could have. I only played about 12 sessions this month.

But I have secured Silver VIP at Poker Stars until the end of December.

My goal for December is to make Gold VIP and to have a BB/100 at $50NL above 3. That is it. No monetary goals. The most important thing to me right now is that I am winning 3BB/100 hands consistently at $50NL.

Status of my Grind

Well I started November off in the red as I lost about $200 or so at $100NL. However, I have played only $50NL after that and I have been very solid. For November so far I have average 2.7 BB/100 hands over almost 10,000 hands. That is really great!

My dollar per hour is only around $11 but that is due to not playing a lot of tables at a time. I mostly average 4 tables at a time lately - about half the time I do 6 tables.

I made over $300 in $50NL this month so far.

Yesterday I tipped into the black. I will post the chart in December, but the entire month was trying to make up for that really bad run at $100NL. My monthly profit chart for November looks like a big smiley face. LOL.

Yesterday I sat down at four tables and within 10 minutes made $50. I have had 3-4 profitable sessions in a row and decided to just quit while I was ahead and log another winning session. Really I was hot and should have continued playing. I won 4 major hands in those ten minutes. My big pot was defending AQo in the big blind with a blind stealer. Villain 3 bet me to $1.5 and I raised it to $5. He called. The flop came a beautiful Q. I raised it, he called. The turn came a beautiful A. LOL. I raised it, he re-raised all-in - I called. The board has two Spades and he was chasing a flush draw with Jack Ten or something. LOL. Thanks for the donation. I won $30 in that hand - it was my first winning hand of the night too.

The other winning hands were me calling from the big blind with 69o and pairing both on the board. I re-raised it on the flop and got a caller. I put a 3/4 pot bet on the turn and he folded. Another hand I caught Top pair good kicker and played it aggressively.

Many times at $50NL my single session variance is 3 buy-ins. So it is entirely possible I could lose that $50 and continue to lose another buy-in or two and then perhaps catch up with a slight session profit for the night after a couple hours. I just did not feel like riding the roller coaster and decided to leave with a nice 1.5 buy-in winning session.

I do wonder though if I continued playing if I would have continued with my hot streak and perhaps won 5 buy-ins. I guess you have to play to find out huh.

Well today is the day before Thanksgiving and I am off for the next 4 days. The holidays brings a lot of fish and sharks. I plan to log in some hours over the next 4 days and see if I am a shark or a fish. LOL.

My bankroll is around $925 - an all time high for this current grind. This grind is now aging about 4 months or so.

I have about 17 days left on my poker tracker 3 free trial. I will need to upgrade it for $90 soon.

If I continue to increase my bankroll past $1200, I plan to withdraw $100. The idea is I have NEVER withdrawn money from Poker Stars - not one time in the 5+ years I have been playing there. wow. Kind of crazy when you think about it.

I figure there is some paperwork involved in withdrawing money and it is better to get that out of the way. In the coming months I will be moving up to $100NL - God save my soul - and will start withdrawing money on a weekly basis.

$100NL is scary with my bankroll. $50NL has had big fluctuations - about $30 up or down or roughly 1 buy-in variance. At $100NL that would be $100 up or down each session. But on a bad day I could fluctuate 3-5 buy-ins. I buy in for 70 Big Blinds or $70 at $100NL.

So I plan to ease my way into $100NL. I want $500 above my standard $50NL bankroll to give $100NL a chance. I am willing to lose that $500 before moving back down to $50NL. I figure that is 7 buy-ins at $100NL. If I lose 7 buy-ins then I am the fish getting eaten by the sharks and need more work.

But 7 buy-ins gives me some wiggle room for what I think is going to be a 2 buy-in normal variance. $100NL players are a little aggressive pre-flop and flop. This increases my variance even though I play TAG. I figure the quality of players is about the same as $50NL - just a little big more aggressive.

Anyways - I have had some 1-2 buy-in winning sessions at $100NL - but they have been plagued by some 3-5 buy-in losing sessions. Overall I seem to break even or be losing at $100NL. But - I only have played sporadically.

When I put $500 into the $100NL move up - I should be able to determine if I have the skill set to make the move to $100NL permanent like I am at $50NL.

My big goal is to grind $200NL. Eventually, maybe next year, I want to grind $400NL.

I would like to be able to play 4 tables at a time at $400NL. If successful at 2Big Bets per 100 hands, assuming 50 hands per hour per table - I could make 32 per hour 4-Tabling $400NL. That is respectable! If I play 5 hours per day, 5 days per week - that is $160 per day and $800 per week or $3200 per month. That is closing the distance to what I make at my current job.

So anyways - those are the goals.

I also plan to continue playing tournaments - mostly as a side thing. Cash games is where the money is. But large field MTT tournaments is where the BIG money is and where the recognition is. If I get good enough to win a big tournament - I will get to travel the world playing poker and meet the big players. One day I may be on TV at some big poker game.

Hey - this stuff is not even far fetched. Really it is just a matter of time. My poker dreams have a good chance of turning into reality.

Well anyway - that is what this poker blog is all for. One day I will re-read this and see how far I have come.

Cheers Everyone! Happy Thanksgiving!

Hopefully I will have a great Thanksgiving poker weekend!

Barona Casino - Played my first live casino tournament

I've played a few live tournaments at friends houses. I am hosting my first tournament in a couple weeks.

But on Saturday I played in my first casino tournament. It was $25 + $5 buyin. There were 56 players spread out over 6 tables. Blinds increased every 15 minutes starting at $25/50. Starting chips were $2200.

When it was down to 3 tables I was hovering around 8 big blinds in the small blind. I figured I needed to make a move or I would be blinded out when the blinds increased. I had A5s and it folded to me. I raised it 3 bets. The big blind re-raised me all in. DOH! I had him covered with two big blinds left over.

The big blind was an old Asian guy - don't take this the wrong way, but Old Asian guys are to be feared at the casinos. They are usually good players. Not sure why - but they are good gamblers most times.

So I figured I was pot committed so I called him. He had AK. I hit my Ace, but obviously that did me no good.

That left me with two big blinds.

We then went on break for ten minutes.

When we came back me and one other person were the short-stack with two chips. I folded until I was on the button. I got dealt AQs and put them all in. I got 3 callers. DOH!

I would have been happy with stealing the blinds or getting heads up. Not too happy with a four way pot.

Luckily I hit trips and immediately became the chip leader. Wow.

From short-stack to chip leader.

I managed to make it to the final table. Everyone at the final table got paid.

I was a short-stack in no time with the blinds increasing.

Luckily other two players got taken out before I did.

I pushed all in once and actually stole the blinds.

My last hand I pushed all in and got one caller - the other short-stack at the table. I had Ax to his 58s. He hit is 8 on the river! Doh again!

All in all I was very happy with my tournament. I played TAG the whole time.

I made $68 going out in 7th place. I tipped the dealer $10...in retrospect I think I should have only tipped (Prize-Buy-In) X 10% = $3.8. I gave him over 26% of my profits!

Such a rookie.

I also played a couple hours at the $1/$2 cash table. Maximum buy-in was 50 Big Blinds or $100.

I did fine - very TAG. I gained lots of respect at the table. Most hands I raised or re-raised pre flop got me to heads up. If I bet the flop again, it always got a fold. It seemed I only was playing 10% or less of the time.

I walked away with $12. I had a couple big pots and tipped the dealer $10.

Moral of the story - I tipped almost half of my profits away.

The way I see it - if I have to deal with variance, why shouldn't the dealers? Next time I won't be tipping based on my winning a big pot. I may win $80 and lose it the next hand.

Counting my $10 to tips to the dealers - I made $22 or 5.5 Big Bets. I played for 2.5 hours so that equals 2.2 Big Bets per hour. That is decent for my first run at the cash tables.

I just need to work out my tipping strategy. If I triple or quadruple my stack in a single pot at $1/$2 NL, then I might tip accordingly - but if I just add 25% to my stake in a good pot - that is not a good reason to tip the dealer.

I need to work on this because those tips equaled half my profits!

I played a $5.50 Rebuy MTT

I played a $5.50 rebuy MTT.

You could rebuy twice and after the rebuy you could do one add on.

The starting chip count was 2500. I am silver VIP through December 31st, 2009.

I need another 1750 or so VPP's to make Gold. The way things are going, I should make Gold this month.

$50NL has been frustrating lately. I am either breaking even or losing 1-2 buyins each session. Last night I played about 3 hours - 4 tabling. I must have been involved in at least 10-12 ALL IN hands. Half I won, half I lost. Well - perhaps more lost than won because I ended the night down 1.5 buy-ins or -$50.

No worries though. My stats are great - winning more than 60% of showdowns. Only going to showdown around 25-30%. Playing nitty rock.

I am blind stealing successfully around 25-30% of the time.

Sometimes that is how it goes.

$50NL definitely has more ALL IN hands than $25NL.

But at least I am winning almost as many as I am losing.

When I can win around 75% of my ALL IN hands - then I will conquer $50NL.

There is a leak some where's in my game.

Overall Update On Poker Grinding

In the first 5 days of November I have accrued over 700 VPP's on PokerStars. That is over half way to Silver VPP. If this continues I should make Gold VIP in November.

I am saving up my Poker Stars FPP's too. Currently I have around 3500. I selfishly want to trade about 700 FPP's in for a pokerstars hat or perhaps $1200 for a PokerStars Polo shirt.

I just feel the need to get some Poker Stars gear. lol.

So far I have resisted the urge to spend my points on a hat or polo shirt.

Right now I am into building up my Poker Stars stuff.

I have 1 Step 4 Ticket that can be used for a Sunday Million ticket or any other $215 tournament entry.

I could use my FPP's to grind the Step Tournaments. I figure every 4 Step 1 tournaments should equal 1 step 4 ticket - on average. Step 1 tickets cost 500FPP's - so right now I could play 7 Step 1 tournaments. So that is, in theory, almost enough for 2 more step 4 tickets.

On the other hand I am still developing my cash table grind. I am so close to consistently making money grinding the cash tables that I can smell it.

But it keeps eluding me.

Actually, minus a couple very bad runs in $100NL - where I was playing above my bankroll - I am making money grinding cash tables. But I am not making as much as I want to make.

I am looking to make 3BB/100 hands. That is 3 Big Bets per 100 hands.

Ignoring my $100NL stats - I am very close.

$25NL is at 2.03BB/100 hands after 7,185 Hands.

$50NL is at 2.67BB/100 hands after 6,166 Hands.

My goal is 3BB/100 - and I am still fine tuning my strategy.

I am only playing about 8% of all preflop hands. My VP$IP/PFR/AF is 8.85/6.48/2.22. Those are very good winning stats. This is for 13,868 hands.

For just $25NL and $50NL I am averaging 458 hands per hour and 2.35BB/100 hands. So for $50NL that breaks down to $10.73 per hour.

I am guessing I must be averaging about 70 hands per hour per table - since I am playing Fast tables (Full Ring). That means I am averaging 6-Tabling.

Many of my estimates of how much I can make per hour grinding cash tables was based on 3BB per hour - not per 100 hands. That does make a big difference.

Now I believe I can comfortably grind 9 tables at a time. So I can get my $/Hour to a decent rate.

If I am playing fast tables and can do 70 hands per hour per table - that is 70% of 100 hands per hour. So I would earn 70% of 3BB - which is 2.1BB/Hour.

So...
6 tabling $50NL = $12.60 per hour
9 Tabling $50NL = $18.90 per hour

6 tabling $100NL = $25.20 per hour
9 Tabling $100NL = $37.80 per hour

Those are not bad numbers.

6 Tabling $100NL is $25 an hour. I can live with that.

If I can continue making 3BB/100 at $200NL while 6 tabling - that would be a cool $50 an hour.
