The White Eagles and the Supporters braved the cold weather at Crehan Park to watch the ball find the back of the net 6 times for the White Eagles - With the strike team of Chris Smith (3) and Stevan Jovic (3) producing the goals for the mighty Eagles. The efforts of the teams cannot go a miss as thel all played well on this icy night.

The Eagles Top Up with a 4 - 2 Win Over Picton Rangers!

The goals are starting to flow again for Premiers Albion Park WE as they recorded an excellent 4-2 away win against Picton Rangers. Early on in the game, it look like Picton would be the winners as they attacked the visitors from the outset only to find Adam Rodriguez(in for Mitchell Blowes) in inspired form in the Park goal.

APWE weathered the storm and against the run of play got their noses in front right on the stroke of half time when Andre Gacesca scored from the penalty spot. In the second half it was a different kettle of fish as Chris Smith(2) and Alan Lo Proto scored for the winners whilst Andrew Borg and Tim Parker got on the scoresheet for the Rangers.

Ex Newtown Jets Prop Forward Jay Lucas’ playing days at Terry Reserve seem to be over after the Bonnyrigg White Eagles announced his prized signature on their official website. This will effectively increase the number of Australian’s applying their trade in the Bonnyrigg squad to 1.

After being given a week off from posing as an adolescent 16 year old in APWE’s youth team, Mladen Slavuljica capped off a rare start to the APWE starting 11 with a ‘John Dahl Tomasson’ like effort from 2 metres out. Putting in his first sprint of the game, Slavuljica ran to Fans corner to celebrate and reportedly dedicated his scrappy goal to FK Sevojno players who caused a routine minor upset by defeating Red Star Belgrade in the Semi Finals of Lav Kup Srbije. Sevojno, a small country village housing a population of 2000 is renowned around folk circles as being the birthplace to singers Aca Lucas and Ljuba Alicic. After being questioned over his link to Sevojno, Slavuljica added “I grew up listening to the likes of Lucas, Alicic, Radmanovski and Keba”

And the number of small, skillful ex-German trialist’s warming the bench for APWE will decrease by 1 following a shock retirement at the tender age of 16.

The White Eagles Win 3 - 1 Over Woonona

The day started to take shape when Chris Smith netted the first goal of the day early in the first half of the game. The score remained at 1 - 0 to the White Eagles when the half time whistle blew. Returning to the paddock pumped Jay Lucas netted the next 2 goals for the White Eagles mid second half and Woonona snuck one past the keeper in the latter part of the game.

The Youth Grade side played a good game of soccer today leading most of the game 1 - 0 Woonona later equalised leaving the game a tie at 1 -1.
