The big homecoming parade and football game is Friday, Sept 27th! There’s just something special about homecoming that unites a community and makes us proud to call Alex City “home.” Kids get out early from school, families and children line the street to wave at the parade floats, the crowd goes wild cheering on the home team, and everyone waits with anticipation for the crowning of the homecoming king and queen.

This year the parade begins at 2:30 pm in front of the ACMS Stadium on Calhoun St, will turn left at Carlisle Drugs, go through the roundabout onto Church St, and end at the high school.

The football game will begin at 7:00 pm with our BRHS Wildcats facing off against Talladega. Tickets for the game are $7 at the gate, and parking is $5 per vehicle. Remember to enter the Sportplex from the Elkahatchee Rd entrance unless you have prepaid parking or are part of the Quarterback Club.

There will be early release for city schools on Friday to avoid parade traffic through downtown. Radney Elementary and Jim Pearson Elementary will release at 11:15 am. Stephens Elementary, ACMS, and BRHS will release at 11:35 am.

Put on some maroon and white and come out Friday 9/27 to support our BRHS Wildcats!
