Common Network Marketing Problems

Throughout my travels there has always been some common network marketing problems, people have never come to grips with a simple  equation, failures = feedback, in other words. There is no real failure if you learn from the feedback you receive. Let me explain how valuable this can be.

First, you may be afraid of the biggest problem you will face when you join a network marketing company, rejection. It can be a major blow to your self confidence but the fact of the matter is, the more rejection you experience the more successful you will be. I know that sounds counter intuitive but it’s true, here is why.

Take for example the one on one, belly to belly network marketer, let us call him Bob. Now, Bob talks to his friends and family, 20 people in his first month.   Because they want to be supportive he gets 2 people to sign up, he is on fire. But now, after going through his warm market, he has to tackle the cold, musty environment of the ever dreaded cold market. He talks to 20 more people and gets zero results, his confidence takes a beating and he is contemplating quitting, “Network Marketing Sucks”!!!!

This is a very typical because Bob is probably using the same technique to get interest from perfect strangers that he used with people he knows and in network marketing this becomes the black hole in your business. Bob, in most cases becomes frustrated and does not take the time to learn what has gone wrong with his prospecting techniques.

Marketer 2, let us call her Sally, goes through the exact same scenario but after getting having no success after the second group of 20. She take the time to listen to her suspects and takes note of their feedback, with every no/failure she gains a little more feedback, she is keenly aware that the failures she has been experiencing is feedback that  she is doing something wrong, Sally decides she is going to fix the problem.

Sally goes to his upline and asked for some help but in this case his upline is not rocking the world either.  At this point Sally is not undeterred, she goes even higher in her upline to find someone who is very successful in the organization because she knows this person is doing something that she is not.

Armed with some valuable information that he obtained from her upline, she knows she can be successful because one of the key things her upline told her was rejection is inevitable. If you can sign people up at a 2%-5% rate, you will be very successful but you have to have 100 people say no so you can get 2-5 to say yes.

Essentially the more people you expose your business to the more people will say no but the upside is also that more people will sign up to your business. In the final analysis, when you talk to people you cannot be married to the outcome, people either can see the vision that you see or they do not and that my friend is OK.

So remember, the road to a successful network marketing career is filled with a few pitfalls but if you can just keep in mind that every failure = feedback and it is what you do with that feedback that determines the extent of your success or failure, you will discover the solutions to most of your network marketing problems.

How To Create A Mind Map.

Back in the 1970’s a gentleman by the name of Tony Buzan, developed the concept of mind mapping and it had been the secret weapon for many of the most successful people on the planet ever since. After you learn how to create a mind map you will be able to see how it enables you to organize a project more clearly, you will be amazed how powerful this tool really is and you will wonder how you ever lived without mind mapping. Are you intrigued?

Let us get started.

Have you ever created presentation and as you went along, planning it out, you found little bits and pieces you forgot and then you had to pull out the eraser, only to find something is in the wrong category and out comes the eraser again. This can be a very frustrating experience, not to mention all the wasted time and energy editing your presentation or project, it’s enough to get you to pull all of your hair out, I guess that’s why I’m bald!!!

Mind Map to the Rescue.

The mind map is really a great tool, it allows you to create an outline, and then you can create endless sub categories in a visual format so you can really take a good look at your organizational outline. It is also a phenomenal way to organize speeches. When used to create PowerPoint presentations, is a dream come true, you can actually use the mind map text as content on your PowerPoint slides.
Once you learn how to mind map, you will find yourself mind mapping for wide variety of projects form organizing your weekly activities to complex sales presentations.

There are 2 ways I like to mind map, one is to just lay out your mind map on a piece of paper and the other is to us software applications. Mapping is really simple once you learn how To create a mind map.
All you have to do is make a circle in the middle of a piece of paper and put the central theme of the map in the middle of the circle, let’s say family. Then create a branch away from the circle and let us call it Wife, then create a couple of other branches, say work and hobby. And then branch from work, call it saleswoman and the separate branch from hobby, we’ll say fishing and working out and so on for everyone in the family.

A great piece of software is a product called FreeMind, again it is free, you can Google it and for making basic mind maps it is the perfect solution. There are other paid software alternatives but unless you are experienced at mind mapping, stick with the free version of FreeMind.

So give mind mapping a try, I believe it will be a great addition to your marketing tools arsenal.

Numis Network Review

First off, I am doing this Numis Network Review from the perspective of someone who joined Numis but never actively promoted the opportunity and has been in the coin of the month club. I will be as objective as possible in this review; I just wanted to give full disclosure to you, the reader.

I guess it is safe to say that my involvement in this company was never about the opportunity itself, but more about the product. I love the idea of the coin of the month, they send you a beautiful silver collectable coin every month and I couldn’t wait to get that auto-ship, the coins are super cool.

Don’t get me wrong, I think this is a great network marketing opportunity but at the time I wasn’t sure if the $499 sign-up fee was something I wanted to fork out, after all this is a binary compensation plan and after being in a couple of binary’s, I wasn’t sure I wanted to sit on the inside of an inside leg and work my tail off building 2 legs of another Binary, it is twice the work for half the money.

As luck would have it, Numis Network had a special offer where you could join for $75 and I jumped on it because the person I was going to sign up under was a big time marketer and I knew he was going to bring in a big team, I wanted to save a position because I would only have to build one leg.

It just so happens that at that same time, I was introduced to another company, One24, that offered another great product and a more attractive compensation plan. I have put all my efforts towards that company since then, but I continued to get the Numis Coin of the Month just because good Numismatic coins are just plain awesome.

The bottom line is this; The Numis Network is a great opportunity, if you are confident you can recruit enough people, and those people can duplicate the process.

Building 2 legs in the binary compensation plan model is tough work and the $499 buy in is tough for some people in this economy, but they have done a great job with training, especially with the Numis University. They have great leadership in this company and a lot of those leaders have become Network Marketing Superstars with Numis.

If you are thinking of getting into this company, my advice is to do your homework, sign-up with one of the top recruiters in the company, that will make your life a lot easier, you will get the leadership you need and you will only have to build one leg of the binary after you get qualified, which will allow you to make more money for the same effort.

Your Mindset Equals Your Success.

There comes a time in your business career that you make a decision to go along with the crowd or become a leader, grab the bull by the horns and become really successful. In order to make that shift you have to change your thinking and develop a winning mindset and you cannot do without that shift in consciousness and let me explain why.

The reality is, your mindset is the single most important factor on how thing effect you, negatively as well as positively. What most people never come to grips with is that it actually takes more effort to fail than it does to succeed.

Imagine, you go to work for 40 hour a week for 40 years and end up retiring, living on only 40% of you final income. Now look at it from a different perspective, if you could work 40 hours a week, for 10 years and retire, knowing that you were capable of generating income at will if you had to, wouldn’t life be easier? That is a simple mindset change.

Once you change your mindset from job/employee to a personal wealth mindset, there is nothing you can hold you back from living your wildest dreams. A whole new world of opportunity will open up to you from seemingly unimaginable places. People will feel a sense of empowerment from you, through the sheer power of your personality.

Go out, develop a more positive mindset and the you can be anyone you want to be, experience any dream you can dream and live any life you want to live. Just change you mindset to that of absolute abundance and abundance will find you.

Just Do It!

Well, maybe not they are not partnering but, with the advent of mass media marketing in the 30’s, because of radio the slogan, or tag line, really took on a prominent role in advertising and established brand recognition to any given product on a grand scale. So what does Nike have to do with Network Marketing and Internet Marketing?

Let me explain.

In our industry, the network marketing industry, promises, pitches and branding are thrown about like baseballs whirling around during warm up of a major league baseball game. You really have to be in the game to make any sense of what is really going on. But with that being said, there is a slogan, that if you take to heart and act on it, will help you build your business, the Nike slogan, “Just Do It”.

As simple as it is, it is Magic.

It took me a long time to come to grips with this reality, after months and months of wanting to look as good as the big guys and after hearing from those same big guys to “Just Take action”, I did just that, I took action. And to make sure I did that, everyday, I made the Nike logo the wallpaper on one of my computers.

But “Just Doing It, can sometimes not be as easy as it sounds because you have to figure out what works, how are you going to do it and do you really have anything to contribute to the conversation, the feelings of insecurity can creep in, devastating your efforts.

A few things will make it easier.

Always keep mind that everyone starts with very little or no knowledge of what to do and how it is done. Also remember that if you are utilizing the correct resources and learn just a little information, you probably know more than 90% of people who are jumping into network marketing. So take what you have learned, go out and “Just Do it!”

There is an old adage, listen, learn, do, and teach. This is magnified in our industry, because for the most part, our own work ethic determines our success level, the more you do the more you make. We all do Listen and Learn relatively easily but 95% of us fall short on Do and Teach.

So whether you are marketing online or offline, listen to what you are taught and then go out and do it to make sure it works. Then teach it to your people, it is a very simple and proven strategy.

Remember to have fun and “Just Do It!”

Free Traffic Pitfalls, It Takes Time.

Now I know there are a lot of articles out there about how to get free traffic and there are lots if opinions on which form of traffic is most effective and profitable. That is not, for the most part, what this article is about.

Free Traffic Is No Free Ride.

There is something that most people fail to come to grips with when they venture into the world of free online traffic, because of the very nature of free traffic, it takes time for the cumulative effect of these forms of traffic generation to yield results, depending on how much content and how consistent you are in turning out quality articles, for example. But it is totally dependent on how much and how fast you’re your content you can get out to the webosphere.

It is also true that you can generate a lot of leads and recruit people into your business using social media sites such as FaceBook, YouTube, Twitter and others. Again you have to dedicate a large amount of time to these forms of traffic generation unless you are ready to shell out some money for some specialized software that can help generate fans and followers for a particular social media platform.

Some of this software is very prolific at what it does but it can be dangerous if you are not careful. If you do not follow the platform Terms Of Use carefully your account can get deleted because some of this software is so good at what it does, like generating tons of followers on twitter to quickly. The social media platform police will send you a warning and if you persist, they can freeze or even delete your account.

But Here Is The Deal.

Just because free traffic methods do not bring you buckets of leads in the beginning doesn’t mean the strategy is not working. You are building a long term infrastructure of content that will yield extremely beneficial results if you are consistent, day in and day out. The really sad thing is that most people, who use this strategy, give up just as it is about to work.

So Here Is The Bottom Line With This Strategy.

In order to make this strategy work effectively, you need to use the social media platform that is most comfortable for you to use and put out one piece of content everyday for 100 days.

• If you are at ease in front of the camera, shoot 100 YouTube videos.
• If you like to write, create 100 articles and post them on you blog and/or ezinearticles.com at least.
• If you are a social butterfly then spend time on FaceBook and Twitter, and connect with people there
  everyday for the 100 days.
• If you are good at more than one of these disciplines, than you can mix it up but make sure you put something up, everyday.

Make sure you have a way to capture leads, and stay connected to your list with emails informing them of your new content. You can use Aweber, GetResponse or you can even use mailchimp, it’s free if you are on a tight budget, mailchimp has some limitations but it is better than nothing.

In The Final Analysis.

Using free traffic to generate leads is a great way to get started but and this is a BIG BUT, you have to be patient and willing to stick it out for the long haul, if you can do that, then you will reap some serious rewards, build a good list and that a big part of the internet marketing game.

Blogging has become very beloved in recent years, not only because it can be used as a money creation device but also because it can be lots of fun.
