Charity Hospital is run by the Sisters of Charity in New Orleans, along with
the Upjohn company developed the plasma system in the 1930'sthat saved so
many lives in WWII, Korea, Vietnam and in the middle east now. During the
Civil War most of the nurses were nuns. Even if you are not Catholic, this
is eye opening. When the Catholic Church was founded, there were no
hospitals. Today, one out of five people in this country receive their
medical care at a Catholic hospital. When the Catholic Church was founded
there were no schools. Today, the Catholic Church teaches 3 million
students a day, in its more than 250 Catholic Colleges and Universities, in
its more than 1200 Catholic High Schools and its more than 5000 Catholic
grade schools. Every day, the Catholic Church feeds, clothes, shelters and educates
more people than any other organization in the world. The new Obama Health Mandate
could end all this and the taxpayers would have to make up the loss. Also, all Catholic
adoption services will come to an end...a human disaster. There are more than 77
million Catholics in this country. It takes an estimated 50 million Catholic votes to elect a
president. I am asking all of you to go to the polls in 2014 then again in 2016 and be united
in replacing all Senators and Reps with someone who will respect the
Catholic Church, all Christians, and all religions with perhaps the
exception of Islam. Mr. President, you said, "The USA is not a Christian
Nation". You are wrong - we are a Christian Nation founded on
Judeo-Christian values allowing all religions in America to worship and
practice freely....something that Islam will never do. Oh, by the way, on
MUSLIM HERITAGE IN America ....Have you ever been to a Muslim hospital,
heard a Muslim orchestra, seen a Muslim band march in a parade, know of a
Muslim charity, ever seen Muslims shaking hands with a Muslim Girl Scout,
or ever seen a Muslim Candy Striper volunteering in a hospital? Have you
ever seen a Muslim do much of anything that contributes positively to the
American way of life?
Michael T. Wayne- The World and THIS COUNTRY owe a great deal of respect to the good work of the Catholic Church. As we all know the 2014 election mentioned above is moot. Come next year it will all start again, with multitudes of presidential candidates telling us all what we want to hear. We need the new Republican Congress to keep our dictator-in-chief in check God willing. Nothing is left to do but wait. Not my strong suit.

“They must understand that they have to integrate and learn to live in Quebec.
“They must understand that it is for them to change their lifestyle, not the Canadians who so generously welcomed them.
“They must understand that Canadians are neither racist nor xenophobic, they accepted many immigrants before Muslims (whereas the reverse is not true, in that Muslim states do not accept non-Muslim immigrants).
“That no more than other nations, Canadians are not willing to give up their identity, their culture.”
“And if Canada is a land of welcome, it's not the Mayor of Dorval who welcomes foreigners, but the Canadian-Quebecois people as a whole.
“Finally, they must understand that in Canada (Quebec) with its Judeo-Christian roots, Christmas trees, churches and religious festivals, religion must remain in the private domain.
The municipality of Dorval was right to refuse any concessions to Islam and Sharia.

We watched high school Principal Dennis Prager of Colorado, along with Sara Palin and Tom Brokaw on TV a couple of weeks ago....what a dynamic, down to earth speaker. Even though Palin and Brokaw were also guest speakers they did little but nod and agree with him. This is the guy that should be running for President in 2016.

To the students and faculty of our high school:

I am your new principal, and honored to be so.
There is no greater calling than to teach young people.

I would like to apprise you of some important changes coming to our school. I am making these changes because I am convinced that most of the ideas that have dominated public education in America have worked against you, against your teachers and against our country.

First, this school will no longer honor race or ethnicity. I could not care less if your racial makeup is black, brown, red, yellow or white. I could not care less if your origins are African, Latin American, Asian or European, or if your ancestors arrived here on the Mayflower or on slave ships. The only identity I care about, the only one this school will recognize, is your individual identity -- your character, your scholarship, your humanity. And the only national identity this school will care about is American.

This is an American public school, and American public schools were created to make better Americans. If you wish to affirm an ethnic, racial or religious identity through school, you will have to go elsewhere. We will end all ethnicity, race and non-American nationality-based celebrations. They undermine the motto of America, one of its three central values -- E pluribus Unum, "from many, one." And this school will be guided by America's values. This includes all after-school clubs. I will not authorize clubs that divide students based on any identities. This includes race, language, religion, sexual orientation or whatever else may become in vogue in a society divided by political correctness.

Your clubs will be based on interests and passions, not blood, ethnic, racial or other physically defined ties. Those clubs just cultivate narcissism -- an unhealthy preoccupation with the self -- while the purpose of education is to get you to think beyond yourself. So we will have clubs that transport you to the wonders and glories of art, music, astronomy, languages you do not already speak, carpentry and more. If the only extracurricular activities you can imagine being interested in are those based on ethnic, racial or sexual identity, that means that little outside of yourself really interests you.

Second, I am uninterested in whether English is your native language. My only interest in terms of language is that you leave this school speaking and writing English as fluently as possible. The English language has united America's citizens for over 200 years, and it will unite us at this school. It is one of the indispensable reasons this country of immigrants has always come to be one country. And if you leave this school without excellent English language skills, I would be remiss in my duty to ensure that you will be prepared to successfully compete in the American job market. We will learn other languages here -- it is deplorable that most Americans only speak English -- but if you want classes taught in your native language rather than in English, this is not your school.

Third, because I regard learning as a sacred endeavor, everything in this school will reflect learning's elevated status. This means, among other things, that you and your teachers will dress accordingly. Many people in our society dress more formally for Hollywood events than for church or school. These people have their priorities backward. Therefore, there will be a formal dress code at this school.

Fourth, no obscene language will be tolerated anywhere on this school's property -- whether in class, in the hallways or at athletic events. If you can't speak without using the f -word, you can't speak. By obscene language I mean the words banned by the Federal Communications Commission, plus epithets such as "Nigger," even when used by one black student to address another black, or "bitch," even when addressed by a girl to a girlfriend. It is my intent that by the time you leave this school, you will be among the few your age to instinctively distinguish between the elevated and the degraded, the holy and the obscene.

Fifth, we will end all self-esteem programs. In this school, self-esteem will be attained in only one way -- the way people attained it until decided otherwise a generation ago -- by earning it. One immediate consequence is that there will be one valedictorian, not eight.

Sixth, and last, I am reorienting the school toward academics and away from politics and propaganda. No more time will be devoted to scaring you about smoking and caffeine, or terrifying you about sexual harassment or global warming. No more semesters will be devoted to condom wearing and teaching you to regard sexual relations as only or primarily a health issue... There will be no more attempts to convince you that you are a victim because you are not white, or not male, or not heterosexual or not Christian. We will have failed if any one of you graduates this the flag of our country. As many of you do not know the words, your teachers will hand them out to you. school and does not consider him or herself inordinately fortunate -- to be alive and to be an American.

The definition of the word Conundrum is: something that is puzzling or confusing.
Here are six Conundrums of socialism in the United States of America:
1. America is capitalist and greedy - yet half of the population is subsidized.
2. Half of the population is subsidized - yet they think they are victims.
3. They think they are victims - yet their representatives run the government.
4. Their representatives run the government - yet the poor keep getting poorer.
5. The poor keep getting poorer - yet they have things that people in other countries only dream about.
6. They have things that people in other countries only dream about - yet they want America to be more like those other countries.
Think about it! And that pretty much sums up the USA in the 21st Century.
Makes you wonder who is doing the math.
These three, short sentences tell you a lot about the direction of our current government and cultural environment:
1. We are advised to NOT judge ALL Muslims by the actions of a few lunatics, but we are encouraged to judge ALL gun owners by the actions of a few lunatics.
Sure is funny how that works. And here's another one worth considering-
2. Seems we constantly hear about how Social Security is going to run out of money. But we never hear about welfare or food stamps running out of money? What's interesting is the first group "worked for" their money, but the second didn't.
Think about it. Last but not least,
3. Why are we cutting benefits for our veterans, no pay raises for our military and cutting our army to a level lower than before WWII, but we are not stopping the payments or benefits to illegal aliens.
Am I the only one missing something? Sometime I wonder who the Politicians are really working for.

Holy crap a vote in Congress; sure it was last year, March 23, 2013 but this Congress actually did vote on something meaningful, yet not everyone knows.

This is that brief, glorious moment in history when everyone stands around...reloading.

In a 53-46 vote, the Senate narrowly passed a measure that will stop the United States from entering into the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty. The Statement of Purpose from the Senate Bill reads: "To uphold Second Amendment rights and prevent the United States from entering into the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty." The U.N. Small Arms Treaty, which has been championed by the Obama Administration, would have effectively placed a global ban on the import and export of small firearms. The ban would have affected all private gun owners in the U.S. and had language that would have implemented an international gun registry, now get this, on all private guns and ammo.
Astonishingly, 46 out of our 100 United States Senators were willing to give away our Constitutional rights to a foreign power.

Why are these Senators- Democrats so afraid of gun rights? It is one tradition that works. In the planning stages of World War II, Admiral Yamamoto was asked to plan an invasion of the US mainland. An Obituary Printed In The London Times- Brilliant

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:
- Knowing when to come in out of the rain;
- Why the early bird gets the worm;
- Life isn't always fair;
- And maybe it was my fault.
Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge).
His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.
Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children.
It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer sun lotion or an aspirin to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.
Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims.
Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.
Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.
Common Sense was preceded in death,-by his parents, Truth and Trust, -by his wife, Discretion, -by his daughter, Responsibility, -and by his son, Reason.
He is survived by his 5 stepbrothers;
- I Know My Rights
- I Want It Now
- Someone Else Is To Blame
- I'm A Victim
- Pay me for Doing Nothing
Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone.

Quit Bashing Obama

Quit trashing Obama's accomplishments. He has done more than any other President before him. Here is a list of his impressive accomplishments:

First President to be photographed smoking a joint.

First President to apply for college aid as a foreign student and then deny he was a foreigner.
First President to have a social security number from a state he has never lived in.

First President to preside over a cut to the credit-rating of the United States.
First President to violate the War Powers Act.
First President to be held in contempt of court for illegally obstructing oil drilling in the Gulf of Mexico.
First President to require all Americans to purchase a product from a third party.
First President to spend a trillion dollars on "shovel-ready" jobs when there was no such thing as "shovel-ready" jobs.
First President to abrogate bankruptcy law to turn over control of companies to his union supporters.
First President to by-pass Congress and implement the Dream Act through executive fiat.
First President to order a secret amnesty program that stopped the deportation of illegal immigrants across the U.S., including those with criminal convictions.

First President to fly in a personal trainer from Chicago at least once a week at taxpayer expense.
First President to repeat the Quran and tell us the early morning call of the Azan (Islamic call to worship) is the most beautiful sound on earth.
First President to side with a foreign nation over one of the American 50 states (Mexico vs Arizona).
First President to tell the military men and women that “they should pay for their own
private insurance because they volunteered to go to war and knew the consequences."
Then he was the First President to tell the members of the military that THEY were UNPATRIOTIC for balking at the last suggestion.
It's hard to comprehend all this guy has gotten away with. Any other president would have been impeached! What in God's name is wrong with our government that they allow this guy carte blanch? It absolutely boggles the mind!
I feel much better now. I had been under the impression he hadn't been doing ANYTHING!

Michael T. Wayne- Wow, what a list of accomplishments. We got the change he promised. I do not see the hope aspect, only a tremendous pack of lies and fraud. I never understood what he did to receive the Nobel Prize as well, other than being the first person of other-than-white ethnicity to be elected. Of course he did so with lies and deception. What happened to “The most transparent administration ever” anyhow? We are stuck with this divisive fraud for two more years along with his minions in the liberal media. I am very sure some will think that I am a racist for this post. I am not. These things would not be said any differently if his skin was white. I respect the office; I cannot respect the man, as he is now finding it depressing to sit through National Security meetings. I understand this, but THAT IS HIS JOB. This administration is rife with incompetence, starting at the top. We are getting pretty depressed with him as Citizens I do believe, speaking for myself obviously. Also, he will be the First President in US history to give amnesty to 35 million illegal immigrants- if he does what the rumors are saying, after the mid-term elections when he loses the Senate. Let us not forget the IRS scandal not having a "smidgen" of corruption as well as the abuse of power in Executive Privilege on the Fast and Furious debacle. Not to mention the Attorney General Eric Holder who HAS THE BLOOD OF BRIAN TERRY ON HIS HANDS. These men took an oath to uphold the Constitution and have broken it and flouted it indiscriminately. They ignore the laws that they have sworn to uphold whenever they see fit. It is a shame no one holds them accountable.
Maybe we should. Tonight are the results of the mid-term elections. Let us see what happens.

Wayne Allyn Root is a former Libertarian Vice- Presidential nominee, successful entrepreneur, small business defender, business speaker, Capital Evangelist, and media personality- appearing on over 5000 interviews in the past 5 years.
Many Americans suspect Obama was foreign born. They are wrong. Boy do I have a story to tell you.
I believe Obama is a fraud. But it has nothing to do with his birth. Obama’s critics have it all backwards. They are looking in the wrong place. He isn’t a foreigner portraying himself as an American. He’s an American who fraudulently portrayed himself as a foreigner.
Months ago MSNBC television host Rachel Maddow spent 15 minutes on her national show calling me a “birther.” I scratched my head. Because I’m not, never have been, not for one minute a “birther” believes Obama is a foreigner, not legally qualified to be president. I have never believed that.
I’ve always believed that Obama is 100 percent American. There I’ve said it loudly. I’m a leading critic of the President, but I’ve always believed him to be American born. He is as American as P.T. Barnum. And he lies and exaggerates like P.T. Barnum too. While Obama is not a foreigner, he is a fraud. Let me tell you the REAL Obama story.
In hundreds of media interviews, I’ve stated that even though Obama was my college classmate at Columbia University, Class of 1983, and we shared the same majors (Political Science and Pre-Law), I never saw, met, or heard of him. But the media has this story wrong too – I’ve never said that my conclusion is Obama did not go to Columbia. On the contrary, I believe Obama graduated Columbia and we are classmates.
Where was he hiding for those Columbia years? My educated guess is he was smoking pot and attending communist meetings, plotting the downfall of America and capitalism. Don’t laugh, it worked!
While that was just an educated guess, Obama’s own autobiography backs me up – he personally admitted often attending Socialist Party meetings at Cooper Union in downtown Manhattan. With Obama, even your wildest guesses are often proven true.
But forget why he wasn’t seen at Columbia, the real mystery is how he ever got into Columbia. Stay with me – because this ties into the whole “foreign born” story.
I believe I’ve pieced together what happened at Columbia and here it is. I believe that Obama, an American citizen, committed fraud by portraying himself as a foreigner, in order to gain almost impossible admittance to prestigious Columbia University (and probably Occidental and Harvard Law School as well). He lied and used fraud (misrepresentation) to weasel his way in. Is that really a crime? Ask convicted criminal Frank Abagnale, the real-life star of the hit movie and best-selling book, “Catch Me if You Can.” Portraying someone you’re not is called fraud, and punishable by years in prison.
It doesn’t take a psychology degree to figure out Obama’s fragile mindset as a young man. He spent his youth living a fantasy, wanting desperately to be foreign-born and exotic, instead of just a normal American kid from a struggling single parent household. As a black teen with no dad, Obama undoubtedly faced racism and tough times. With help from mentors (like Frank Marshall, a communist, and Bill Ayers, a terrorist) he learned to despise his country of birth (America). As a dreamer and loner he started to believe his own story of exotic birth then used that fantasy (aka fraud) to gain admittance to both Occidental and Columbia.
In too deep, he had no way out. Ironically, Obama, himself is the birther. He’s the one who created the foreign-born storyline.
The fact the leftist media (Rachel Maddow, Jon Stewart, Mother Jones, and others) are so frightened of me, confirms that I’m close to the truth. It explains why Obama sent the IRS to viciously attack me not once, but twice (I won 100 percent victories in both audits). I’ve gotten too close to both the Obama Columbia scandal and the Obama IRS scandal. The closer to the target, the greater the flack.
Getting into an Ivy League University is extremely difficult and transferring in is virtually impossible. Every year 30,000 kids try to get into a college like Columbia. Only a small fraction are accepted (there were about 700 in our class of 1983). The battle is cut-throat. Virtually all 30,000 are straight-A students, have close-to-perfect SAT scores, and have achieved out-sized success at extracurricular activities too.
Into that dog-eat-dog competition stepped Barack Obama, a young man with no achievements, except an exotic story of Indonesian upbringing. Obama could NEVER have gotten into Columbia out of high school and his odds of transferring in later were even worse. Last year Columbia accepted only three transfer students in the entire world. Three. And I guarantee you all three had amazing scholastic and achievement records from other Ivy League colleges like Harvard, Yale, or Princeton.
Obama had none of that. By his own admission he was a poor student who smoked pot, rarely attended class, and got mediocre grades, from Occidental (a good but not great college). His only chance of transferring into Columbia was a made-up story of being an exotic foreigner.
It’s pretty clear how Obama got into Columbia – I believe it was by lying. Obama was a smart kid, even then gave “great interviews,” and talked (lied) his way into Columbia as an Indonesian student, using his Jakarta grade school transcripts (and perhaps Passport/citizenship papers) as proof. Columbia probably asked very few questions. They were thrilled to have an Indonesian student to brag about. They got what they wanted – “diversity.”
That was Obama’s edge that gained him admittance to the exclusive Ivy League world at Columbia and then Harvard Law School. But that also made him a fraud, who accepted admittance and foreign student aid under false pretenses.
Since selling this fraudulent story had succeeded beyond his wildest imagination, Obama was emboldened. So, he used it again to sell a book. Remember I’m not guessing here. It’s a fact that his book agent described Obama to publishers as “Born in Kenya, raised in Indonesia.” There is physical proof of these exact words. Bleeding heart liberal Manhattan book publishers bought it hook, line and sinker.
All of this lying and fraud based on a fantasy built an impressive platform for young Obama. It got him the credentials he needed for a career in politics (Columbia, Harvard Law, professor at Chicago Law School). Next he used that platform to run for office. He won. Then, won again, becoming a U.S. Senator. People started touting him as a Presidential candidate. All the lies and P.T. Barnum-like self- promotion had worked for Obama. Too well. Now he had a deep, dark secret to cover-up.
His college records were his Achilles heel. He had to hide his tracks. His college records had to be sealed forever. Not because he was a foreigner and unqualified to be President, but because he was an American posing as a foreigner. That makes him a fraud unqualified to be President.
I would love for Mr. Obama to release his college records and prove me wrong. But of course he won’t…he can’t. Because at the top of his college admissions transcript would be the two words that would destroy his Presidency and legacy: “Foreign Student.”
No, I’m not a birther. I believe Obama is 100 percent American born. While never questioning his birth, I’ve been in the media nonstop for five years questioning his allegiance to America, American exceptionalism, and Judeo-Christian values. And I’ve exposed his plan (created by husband-wife professors Cloward and Piven at Columbia) to destroy capitalism by overwhelming the system with spending, debt, and entitlements. That purposeful plan is proven by facts – please see record spending, record debt, and record entitlements under Obama. This is all about a plan to destroy America carried out by an American posing as a foreigner.
No, Obama isn’t a foreigner. But we have a fraud in the White House.

900 teachers just got laid off from the Los Angeles Unified School District. They are $650,000 over their annual budget.

The following English teacher helps to explain one area that looms large over California's educational crisis.

"As you listen to the news about the student protests over illegal immigration, there are some things that you should be aware of:

I am in charge of the English-as-a-second-language department at a large southern California high school which is designated a Title 1 school, meaning that its students average lower socioeconomic and income levels.

Most of the schools you are hearing about, South Gate High, Bell Gardens, Huntington Park, etc. where these students are protesting, are also Title 1 schools.

Title 1 schools are on the free breakfast and free lunch program. When I say free breakfast, I'm not talking a glass of milk and roll -- but a full breakfast and cereal bar with fruits and juices that would make Marriott proud. The waste of this food is monumental, with trays and trays of it being dumped in the trash uneaten.

I estimate that well over 50% of these students are obese or at least moderately overweight. About 75% or more DO have cell phones. The school also provides day care centers for the unwed teenage pregnant girls (some as young as 13) so they can attend class without the inconvenience of having to arrange for babysitters or having family watch their kids.

I was ordered to spend $700,000 on my department or risk losing funding for the upcoming year even though there was little need for anything; my budget was already substantial. I ended up buying new computers for the computer learning center, half of which, one month later, have been carved with graffiti by the appreciative students who obviously feel humbled and grateful to have a free education in America.

I have had to intervene several times for young and substitute teachers whose classes consist of many illegal immigrant students here in the country less than 3 months who raised so much hell with the female teachers, calling them "Putas" (whores) and throwing things, that the teachers were in tears.

Free medical, free education, free food, day care, etc., etc., etc. Is it any wonder they feel entitled not only to be in this country but to demand rights, privileges and entitlements?

To those who want to point out how much these illegal immigrants contribute to our society because they LIKE their gardener and housekeeper and they like to pay less for tomatoes: spend some time in the real world of illegal immigration and see the TRUE costs.

Higher insurance, medical facilities closing, higher medical costs, more crime, lower standards of education in our schools, overcrowding, new diseases etc., etc., etc. For me, I'll pay more for tomatoes.

Americans, WE need to wake up. The guest worker program will be a disaster because we won't have the guts to enforce it. Does anyone in their right mind really think they will voluntarily leave and return?

It does, however, have everything to do with culture: A third-world culture that does not value education, that accepts children getting pregnant and dropping out of school by 15 and that refuses to assimilate, and an American culture that has become so weak and worried about “political correctness" that we don't have the will to do anything about it.

CHEAP LABOR? Isn't that what the whole immigration issue is about?

Business doesn't want to pay a decent wage.

Consumers don't want expensive produce.

Government will tell you Americans don't want the jobs.

But the bottom line is cheap labor. The phrase "cheap labor" is a myth, a farce, and a lie. There is no such thing as "cheap labor."

Take, for example, an illegal alien with a wife and five children. He takes a job for $5.00 or 6.00/hour. At that wage, with six dependents, he pays no income tax, yet at the end of the year, if he files an Income Tax Return, he gets an "earned income credit" of up to $3,200 free.

He qualifies for Section 8 housing and subsidized rent.

He qualifies for food stamps.

He qualifies for free (no deductible, no co-pay) health care.

His children get free breakfasts and lunches at school.

He requires bilingual teachers and books.

He qualifies for relief from high energy bills.

If they are or become, aged, blind or disabled, they qualify for SSI.

Once qualified for SSI they can qualify for Medicare. All of this is at (our) taxpayer's expense.

He doesn't worry about car insurance, life insurance, or homeowners insurance.

Taxpayers provide Spanish language signs, bulletins and printed material.

He and his family receive the equivalent of $20.00 to $30.00/hour in benefits.

Working Americans are lucky to have $5.00 or $6.00/hour left after paying their bills AND his.

The American taxpayers also pay for increased crime, graffiti and trash clean-up.

Cheap labor? YEAH RIGHT! Wake up people!

As we celebrate the anniversary of Independence Day, I cannot help but think that we- all Americans need Independence from the IRS and the rest of President Obama's political nightmare. We once had a free land, but every day we seem to be losing our Freedoms with little report on the mainstream media. Thank you to Fox News for telling us all what is really going on. And remember, if the government EVER wants anything from you, tell them your hard drive crashed; your dog ate it; or maybe it was not a "smidgen" of corruption, only a couple of "boneheaded decisions out of Cincinnati". No need to point out that everything we are told by Josh Earnest and his boss are lies which are politically motivated. My family fought for this Country in 1776- before the Declaration of Independence, and I am having a hard time dealing with the current administration's incompetence or lack of care. Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi- a veteran of 2 tours in Afghanistan sits in a Mexican prison and Bowe Bergdahl- the DESERTER is a hero? I am with Bill O'Reilly on boycotting Mexico. Maybe Obama will find out about how shitty things on the border are on the news; he refuses to visit personally. I think he is afraid of Americans- not Mexicans because we are the ones he is screwing. He will more than likely cry, as he seems very sensitive to any criticism- actually I just now became a racist because of my CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS UNDER THE FIRST AMMENDMENT opinion. Can we get a man or woman with some guts? To hell with "political correctness". The Government is a little to big for itself. Look at the border crisis. I have seen this brutal form of adolescent entertainment go on for a while, yet its frequency requires that we men who have sons should be talking to them and putting an end to this. Many of these youths do not have fathers though. A problem in the Black Community more so than Latinos and Whites. They are bored and roaming the streets at night. Most attacks have been Black on white- in New York, only Black on Jews. This is not about your ethnicity. We are all Human Beings and deserve to be treated as such- HUMANELY . I am not aware of any of these attacks in my state, but I will say this. Eventually someone will attack a person with the ability to defend themselves, be it physically or with a LEGAL Concealed Carry Weapon. This attack IS SELF DEFENSE, as some have actually died after being attacked. I am in agreement with Mr. James Causey of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, whom I saw on the On The Record with Greta Van Susteren on Dec 2, 13. Families with FATHERS need to teach their children discipline and that this is wrong. Seeing the kids do this out of boredom which I personally have felt when younger but never attacked anybody, I find that they are total cowards; more cowardly than a school yard bully. Mr. Obama talked about Trayvon Martin, as did Reverend Al and Jesse Jackson. Where are you now Mr. President, Mr. Sharpton and Mr. Jackson to condemn these actions Black youths are perpetrating? What happens when one of them get shot? Another dead young Black man. Mr. Obama, you have not done a thing for the Black Community as a whole, yet they voted for you TWICE at a rate of 90% or more. YOU ARE THE PRESIDENT. DO YOUR JOB! Save these kids before more die and the perpetrators either get killed or a death sentence for First Degree Murder with a hate crime enhancement. Please sirs, speak out! You would if it were a group of Whites knocking out Blacks. We all know it.

Barack says we need to have a conversation about race in America. Fair enough. But this time, it has to be a two-way conversation.
White America needs to be heard from, not just lectured to. This time, the Silent Majority needs to have its convictions, grievances and demands heard. And among them are these:
First, America has been the best country on earth for black folks. It was here that 600,000 black people brought from Africa in slave ships, grew into a community of 40 million, were introduced to Christian salvation, and reached the greatest levels of freedom and prosperity blacks have ever known. Jeremiah Wright ought to go down on his knees and thank God he is an American.
Second, no people anywhere has done more to lift up blacks than white Americans. Untold trillions have been spent since the '60s on welfare, food stamps, rent supplements, Section 8 housing, Pell grants, student loans, legal services, Medicaid, Earned Income Tax Credits and poverty programs designed to bring the African-American community into the mainstream. Governments, businesses and colleges have engaged in discrimination against white folks -- with affirmative action, contract set-asides and quotas -- to advance black applicants over white applicants. Churches, foundations, civic groups, schools and individuals all over America have donated their time and money to support soup kitchens, adult education, day care, retirement and nursing homes for blacks.
We hear the grievances. Where is the gratitude?
Barack talks about new 'ladders of opportunity' for blacks. Let him go to Altoona? And Johnstown, and ask the white kids in Catholic schools how many were visited lately by Ivy League recruiters handing out scholarships for 'deserving' white kids.? Is white America really responsible for the fact that the crime and incarceration rates for African-Americans are seven times those of white America?
Is it really white America's fault that illegitimacy in the African-American community has hit 70 percent and the black dropout rate from high schools in some cities has reached 50 percent?
Is that the fault of white America or, first and foremost, a failure of the black community itself?
As for racism, its ugliest manifestation is in interracial crime, and especially interracial crimes of violence. Is Barack Obama aware that while white criminals choose black victims 3 percent of the time, black criminals choose white victims 45 percent of the time?
Is Barack aware that black-on-white rapes are 100 times more common than the reverse, that black-on-white robberies were 139 times as common in the first three years of this decade as the reverse?
We have all heard ad nauseam from the Rev. Al about Tawana Brawley, the Duke Rape case and Jena. And all turned out to be hoaxes. But about the epidemic of black assaults on whites that are real, we hear nothing.
Sorry, Barack, some of us have heard it all before, about 40 years and 40 trillion tax dollars ago. This needs to be passed around because, this is a message everyone needs to hear!!!

MTW-HIS opinion, I found valid to place behind the liberal media’s story of white hatred. He did, however bounce back and forth between black and African Americans. Labels are not a good thing. The Nation needs no more divisions, nor do we need divisive politicians (Obama) and the main-stream (Liberal) media causing even more of a rift between peoples. That is what the Bible calls us, different “peoples and tongues”. It does not say that we are not the same race, but we are all if anything equal, and members of one race, HUMAN BEINGS who speak different languages and may have different skin pigment or visual differences in appearance. I do not believe “racism” should be a word that needs to be a part of our language. It is actually bigotry and hatred. Of course the Muslims consider all non-Muslims to be infidels, deserving of death, Black (a lot of blacks- mostly in prison are Muslim converts and peaceful) or White. Killing is wrong, even in the name of God. Obama and his drones are a form of terrorism to innocents in those Countries where they are used, as simple "suspects" are killed as well as whoever may be near them; collateral damage was unacceptable when Bush was in charge. Obama has been quoted telling an aid “These drones sure have made me good at killing.” Is there anybody else angry about any of that? Can we not simply stick together as Americans and remove the corrupt elitists from our Government, which the PEOPLE are in charge of? I say yes. No lawyers, but REAL Senators who keep their promises to do everything they ran on to be elected and fight for their constituents; or State Governors, as they have experience GOVERNING, which Obama never had. I worry though, and I am starting to feel as if, to quote Hilary Clinton on Benghazi-“At this point what difference does it make?” Can America be saved? I am saved as a Born Again Christian, but it seems as if we are experiencing hell right now. Thanks a lot Mr. Obama. I suppose I am now a “racist” in the mind of those who believe disagreeing with you is because you are black. They are wrong. You are half black and half white, with many white and black relatives. In the immortal words of Rodney King, may he rest in Peace- “Can’t we all just get along?”

The Hatred In The Heart Of White America

It was cool and rainy Sunday morning when the bomb ripped through the building. At 10:22, a group of children was just heading into the basement to hear a sermon at the 16th Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, Ala. According to a Washington Post account at the time: Dozens of survivors, their faces dripping blood from the glass that flew out of the church's stained glass windows, staggered around the building in a cloud of white dust raised by the explosion.
Four girls were killed. The head of one little girl was found far from her body. Twenty-two others were injured. Wandering through his devastated church, the Rev. John H. Cross found a megaphone and asked the enraged and stunned crowd to disperse. "The Lord is our shepherd," he sobbed, "we shall not want."
This week, Congress marked the 50th anniversary of that terror attack by posthumously awarding the Congressional Gold Medal to Denise McNair, Carole Robertson, Addie Mae Collins and Cynthia Wesley.
We Americans are not confused about the morality of what happened in Birmingham that September morning in 1963, nor during the Jim Crow era in America generally. We do not hesitate to condemn utterly the behavior and the beliefs of the Ku Klux Klan (the perpetrators of this bombing and others) and their white supremacist fellow travelers. We do not worry that reviling white supremacists and their grotesque deeds will somehow taint all white people.
But when it comes to other groups and other motives for the same kind of terrorism — we lose our moral focus. Bill Ayers, Bernadine Dohrn and Kathy Boudin have become honored members of the faculties at leading universities. Ayers is even the friend of the president of the United States. Regarding his own record of setting bombs that kill and dismember innocent people, Ayers told The New York Times on the ironic date of Sept. 11, 2001 that "I feel we didn't do enough ... (there's) a certain eloquence to bombs, a poetry and a pattern from a safe distance." So says a retired "distinguished professor" at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Today, American liberals are obsessed not with terrorism but with the color and ethnicity of terrorists. They can readily enough attribute violent tendencies to groups they dislike — the tea party, for example, which hasn't committed so much as a littering offense. But when it comes to Islamic terrorism, their voices falter.
Attorney General Eric Holder, asked whether three attacks on the United States (the underwear bomber, the Times Square bomber and Maj. Nidal Hassan) could be attributed to "Islamic" radicalism, refused to say so. Asked repeatedly whether religious motives played a role, Holder would say only, "there are a variety of reasons why people have taken these actions." Janet Napolitano has been quick to dismiss terror attempts as "one offs." Would Holder and Napolitano say the same about white supremacists? Each one had his own motivations and we can't surmise what those factors were?
There is a tendency among many on the left to temper their disgust and indignation at political violence (i.e. terror) if the terrorist is from the "correct" group. "Muslim ... means not being white" Peter Beinert writes in the Daily Beast. Beinert and other liberals imagine that the U.S. is a cauldron of teeming racism with the lid barely kept down. At the first acknowledgment that Islamists (some, but by no means, all of whom are dark skinned) present a continuing threat, the lid will fly off and white American vigilantes, given permission, will start shooting black and brown people on the streets, burning their shops, and bombing mosques.
The hatred that Islamism preaches lauds and inspires is a nuisance, liberals may concede. But the hatred in the heart of "white America" is the greater danger.

We are all the same Race, the HUMAN Race, and yet we have differences; but any difference between any of us, is ridiculous to be used in an article of such ignorance to further someone’s agenda. For one, the events discussed in the beginning happened 50 YEARS AGO. Before Civil Rights. A lot of us were not alive then. How are we (white folks) to blame for the wrong actions taken by our dead elders? What about the Black Panthers openly placing bounties on WHITE people and intimidating voters at polling places. Obama is a White-Black man, or a White man wrapped in the color you wanted in this case, simply to call us "racist" if we disagree with the president; it does not seem to matter if we voted for the man or hold the same socialist ideology. The Dems sure did not hesitate to demonize GW Bush, but it is alright because he is white!? I am white, and there is no hatred in my heart for another Human Being for any reason. Something that really bothers me is when the term “African American” is used. If you are an American Citizen that is what you call yourself. An American. This- the United States used to be a melting pot. Now, everybody wants to be labeled as this or that rather than simply be an American. I do not wish to even go into Islam, after Boston’s tragic bombing; however, after Obama has given billions in aid to Muslim countries, as the Citizens of the U.S. are forced into poverty by the same man, I will. You need to be removed from office sir. Why did you have Eric Holder put an end to the interrogation of the younger bomber Tsarnaev? Did you have something you needed to hide, just as in the Fort Hood TERROR attack by Major Nidal Hassan which YOU Mr. President deemed "workplace violence? Muslims hate us and are taught to KILL US for NO REASON. I find that this should be an exception to Freedom of Religion in our Constitution, if not an Amendment. There is nothing anywhere close to freedom in sharia law. The Muslims in America right now are being stereotyped even worse to their own detriment. That is not my intention. This is simply my honest opinion. Tell Mr. Obama our history; I do not think he knows it. Yet another liberal propaganda article on Yahoo, distorting the facts. Jim Crow Laws- Enacted by Democrats; Ku Klux Klan- started by Democrats who lost the Civil War which they started, as they were against the abolishment of slavery. Democrats were against de-segregation and shortly thereafter Civil Rights. Can we get some accurate information from the liberals? What about the so-called "Affordable Care Act" or Obamacare? It is not affordable or rolling out very well, nor has he kept any of his promises about keeping your plan, your doctor or the dramatic savings of $2500 per family per year. More folks have lost their coverage than have signed up for that atrocious law- mainly due to the awesome $600 million dollar website that does not work. The enrollees are a fraction of those who lost coverage- over 5 million so far. This is redistribution of wealth- or SOCIALISM. Not Capitalism. Where did the United States of America go? Free speech zones? Unconstitutional. Gun-free zones? Unconstitutional. Changing parts of a law as he pleases (Obama-ACA)- Unconstitutional and exceeding his authority. We sure got the "Change" he promised. $17 trillion for the worse. We are becoming the new USSR- United States Socialism Redux.

The Government?

I Just Realized Something:
My dog sleeps about 20 hours a day.
He has his food prepared for him.
His meals are provided at no cost to him.
He visits the doctor once a year for his checkup and again during the year, if any medical needs arise.
For this he pays nothing and nothing is required of him.
He lives in a nice neighborhood in a house that is much larger than he needs, but he is not required to do any upkeep.
If he makes a mess, someone else cleans it up.
He has his choice of luxurious places to sleep.
He receives these accommodations absolutely free.
He is living like a king and has absolutely no expenses whatsoever.
All of his costs are picked up by others who earn a living.
I was just thinking about all this, and suddenly it hit me like a ton of bricks ~

MY dog is a CONGRESSMAN!
MTW-I just thought that after all of these governmental nightmares- you know, the phony scandals, along with the AWESOME roll-out of government take over of your health care by causing many millions of folks to lose their health insurance and pay more for the forced health insurance (which is not the same as health care) by Obama and Sebelius because they know what is better for you than you do, we may need some levity. That was a mouthful. Also, if the shoe fits.... But what does this make Obama? Lost? Did anyone believe his non-apology? He apologized to other countries for the US a lot better and more often than he takes responsibility for his own actions with a genuine apology to his own Country for INTENTIONALLY lying. If he did not know, he is lost. The rest of the White House knew in July 2010, when Kathleen Sebelius wrote the "grandfather" statutes she KNEW as a former insurance worker would cause this. He heard about fast and furious, IRS and the Obamacare website problems on the news? Who tells this man what IS GOING ON? Anybody? Or are you playing dumb now Mr. President? "If you like your health insurance, you can keep it. Period."- Barack Obama around 30 times since 2009. The "if" came last week. Now he said IF your policy doesn't change after Obamacare passed. This is much worse than a website malfunction. Premiums and co-pays change every year. We finally see some of Obama's "Change". The cartoon below is from overseas. Do any of you wonder what they think of us now?

Surely, I didn't agree with everything he did, but he was a class act when it came to our military & their families.

A social worker from a big city in Massachusetts recently transferred to the mountains of West Virginia and was on the first tour of her new territory when she came upon the tiniest cabin she had ever seen in her life. Intrigued, she went up and knocked on the door.
"Anybody home?" she asked.
"Yep." came a kid's voice through the door.
"Is your father there?" asked the social worker.
"Pa? ---Nope, he left afore Ma came in," said the kid.
"Well, is your mother there?" persisted the social worker.
"Ma? --Nope, she left just afore I got here." said the kid.
"But," protested the social worker thinking that surely she will need to intervene in this situation "are you never together as a family?"
"Sure, but not here," said the kid through the door. "This is the outhouse!"
Government workers are so very smart. Aren't you overjoyed that they'll soon be handling all our financial, educational, and medical dilemmas?

And in His own churches I would substitute psychology for religion, and deify science. I would lure priests and pastors into misusing boys and girls, and church money. If I were the devil I’d make the symbols of Easter an egg and the symbol of Christmas a bottle.
If I were the devil I’d take from those who have, and give to those who wanted until I had killed the incentive of the ambitious. And what do you bet? I couldn’t get whole states to promote gambling as thee way to get rich? I would caution against extremes and hard work, in Patriotism, in moral conduct. I would convince the young that marriage is old-fashioned, that swinging is more fun, that what you see on TV is the way to be. And thus I could undress you in public, and I could lure you into bed with diseases for which there is no cure. In other words, if I were the devil I’d just keep right on doing on what he’s doing. WASHINGTON (AP) — For the second straight year, millions of Social Security recipients, disabled veterans and federal retirees can expect historically small increases in their benefits come January.
Preliminary figures suggest a benefit increase of roughly 1.5 percent, which would be among the smallest since automatic increases were adopted in 1975, according to an analysis by The Associated Press.
Next year's raise will be small because consumer prices, as measured by the government, haven't gone up much in the past year.
The exact size of the cost-of-living adjustment, or COLA, won't be known until the Labor Department releases the inflation report for September. That was supposed to happen Wednesday, but the report was delayed indefinitely because of the partial government shutdown.
The COLA is usually announced in October to give Social Security and other benefit programs time to adjust January payments. The Social Security Administration has given no indication that raises would be delayed because of the shutdown, but advocates for seniors said the uncertainty was unwelcome.
Social Security benefits have continued during the shutdown.
More than one-fifth of the country is waiting for the news.
Nearly 58 million retirees, disabled workers, spouses and children get Social Security benefits. The average monthly payment is $1,162. A 1.5 percent raise would increase the typical monthly payment by about $17.
The COLA also affects benefits for more than 3 million disabled veterans, about 2.5 million federal retirees and their survivors, and more than 8 million people who get Supplemental Security Income, the disability program for the poor.
Automatic COLAs were adopted so that benefits for people on fixed incomes would keep up with rising prices. Many seniors, however, complain that the COLA sometimes falls short, leaving them little wiggle room.
David Waugh of Bethesda, Md., said he can handle one small COLA but several in a row make it hard to plan for unexpected expenses.
"I'm not one of those folks that's going to fall into poverty, but it is going to make a difference in my standard of living as time goes by," said Waugh, 83, who retired from the United Nations. "I live in a small apartment and I have an old car, and it's going to break down. And no doubt when it does, I'll have to fix it or get a new one."
Since 1975, annual Social Security raises have averaged 4.1 percent. Only six times have they been less than 2 percent, including this year, when the increase was 1.7 percent. There was no COLA in 2010 or 2011 because inflation was too low.
By law, the cost-of-living adjustment is based on the Consumer Price Index for Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers, or CPI-W, a broad measure of consumer prices generated by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. It measures price changes for food, housing, clothing, transportation, energy, medical care, recreation and education.
The COLA is calculated by comparing consumer prices in July, August and September each year to prices in the same three months from the previous year. If prices go up over the course of the year, benefits go up, starting with payments delivered in January.

This year, average prices for July and August were 1.4 percent higher than they were a year ago, according to the CPI-W.
Once the September report, the final piece of the puzzle, is released, the COLA can be announced officially. If prices continued to slowly inch up in September that would put the COLA at roughly 1.5 percent.
Several economists said there were no dramatic price swings in September to significantly increase or decrease the projected COLA.
That means the projection shouldn't change by more than a few tenths of a percentage point, if at all.
Polina Vlasenko, a research fellow at the American Institute for Economic Research, projects the COLA will be between 1.4 percent and 1.6 percent.
Her projection is similar to those done by others, including AARP, which estimates the COLA will be between 1.5 percent and 1.7 percent. The Senior Citizens League estimates it will be about 1.5 percent.
Lower prices for gasoline are helping to fuel low inflation, Vlasenko said.
"In years with high COLA's, a lot of that had to do with fuel prices and in some cases food prices. Neither of those increased much this year," Vlasenko said. "So that kept the lid on the overall increase in prices."
Gasoline prices are down 2.4 percent from a year ago while food prices are up slightly, according to the August inflation report.
Housing costs went up 2.3 percent and utilities increased by 3.2 percent.
Advocates for seniors say the government's measure of inflation doesn't accurately reflect price increases older Americans face because they tend to spend more of their income on health care. Medical costs went up less than in previous years but still outpaced other consumer prices, rising 2.5 percent.
"This (COLA) is not enough to keep up with inflation, as it affects seniors," said Max Richtman, who heads the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare. "There are some things that become cheaper but they are not things that seniors buy. Laptop computers have gone down dramatically but how many people at 70 are buying laptop computers?"
The cost of personal computers dropped by 10.6 percent over the past year, according the CPI-W.
That's a small consolation to Alberta Gaskins of the District of Columbia, who said she is concerned about keeping up with her household bills.
"It is very important to get the COLA because everything else you have in your life is on an upward swing, and if you're on a downward swing that means your quality of life is going down," said Gaskins, who retired from the Postal Service in 1989.
MTW-How about some truth. Obama did give a single Cost Of Living Adjustment in his first term- mine was $20 per month. It was in 2012 that he did, and it was 50% of 1 of the 3 COLAs Bush gave us the first four years I was on disability. Usually $40 per month. His (W) last one was in 2009. Obama not only figured out a new formula to calculate these Adjustments to give us less, he slapped the word "Federal Benefit Check" on OUR MONEY. F YOU OBAMA. He is our Nation's destroyer, and has all of his loyal Dimocrats drinking his Jim Jones Kool-Aid defending him. Heaven forbid you disagree with almighty Obama, his feelings are hurt, thus, it makes you a racist, not a person with a brain in your head. He has also threatened to stop our payment TWICE to get his way. We have a total asshole for a president who continues to make us look like fools to the World for electing him. For the record, I NEVER voted for him. He cannot be gone fast enough. I for one am pissed off. How is the COLA lower under Obama with the economy the way it is now as opposed to under Bush. He has added over 6 trillion dollars to the deficit, nobody has a fulltime job because of Obamacare, and everything costs more. How is it that we are receiving a smaller COLA? Fort Hood and President GW With Laura Bush

A doctor had his TV on in his office when the news of the military base shootings at Ft. Hood, TX came on. The husband of one of his employees was stationed there. He called her into his office and as he told her what had happened, she got a text message from her husband saying, "I am okay." Her cell phone rang right after she read the message. It was an ER nurse, the one who just sent you a text, not your husband.
I thought it would be comforting but I was mistaken in doing so. I am sorry to tell you this, but your husband has been shot 4 times and he is in surgery."
The soldier's wife left Southern Clinic in Dothan, AL and drove all night to Ft. Hood. When she arrived, she found out her husband was out of surgery and would be OK. She rushed to his room and found that he already had two visitors there to comfort him.
He was just waking up and found his wife and the visitors by his side. The nurse took this picture:

What? No news crews and cameras?
This is how people with class respond and pay respect to those in uniform.
I sent my cousin in Fayetteville, N.C. (Retired from Special forces) that picture of Geo. W. visiting the wounded at Ft. Hood.
I got this reply:
What is even better is the fact George W. Bush heard about Fort Hood, got in his car without any escort, apparently they did not have time to react, and drove to Fort Hood. He was stopped at the gate and the guard could not believe who he had just stopped.
Bush only asks for directions to the hospital then drove on. The gate guard called that "The President is on Fort Hood and driving to the hospital."
The base went bananas looking for Obama. When they found it was Bush, they immediately offered escort. Bush simply told them it was o.k. and to let him visit the wounded and the dependents of the dead.
He stayed at Fort Hood for over six hours, and was finally asked to leave by a message from the White House.
Obama flew in days later and held a "photo opportunity" session in a gym, and did not even go to the hospital.
All this I picked up from two soldiers here who happened to be at Fort Hood when it happened.
This Bush/Obama/Ft. Hood story is something that should be sent to every voter in the US .
Those who wanted "change". You certainly got it.
Someone, PLEASE, show me anything that will tell us that Obama has ANY respect for the country he leads!
I'm looking for just a little sign of respect.

Just What Is In That Chicken Nugget?

NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - Stand-up comedians have long joked that some things, like the actual components of chicken nuggets, are better left mysterious.
Recently, Mississippi researchers found out why: two nuggets they examined consisted of 50 percent or less chicken muscle tissue, the breast or thigh meat that comes to mind when a customer thinks of "chicken."
The nuggets came from two national fast food chains in Jackson. The three researchers selected one nugget from each box, preserved, dissected and stained the nuggets, then looked at them under a microscope.
The first nugget was about half muscle, with the rest a mix of fat, blood vessels and nerves. Close inspection revealed cells that line the skin and internal organs of the bird, the authors write in the American Journal of Medicine.
The second nugget was only 40 percent muscle, and the remainder was fat, cartilage and pieces of bone.
"We all know white chicken meat to be one of the best sources of lean protein available and encourage our patients to eat it," lead author Dr. Richard D. deShazo of the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, said.
"What has happened is that some companies have chosen to use an artificial mixture of chicken parts rather than low-fat chicken white meat, batter it up and fry it and still call it chicken," deShazo told Reuters Health.
"It is really a chicken by-product high in calories, salt, sugar and fat that is a very unhealthy choice. Even worse, it tastes great and kids love it and it is marketed to them."
The nuggets he examined would be okay to eat occasionally, but he worries that since they are cheap, convenient and taste good, kids eat them often. His own grandchildren "beg" for chicken nuggets all the time, and he compromises by making them at home by pan-frying chicken breasts with a small amount of oil, deShazo said.
"Chicken nuggets are an excellent source of protein, especially for kids who might be picky eaters," said Ashley Peterson, vice president of scientific and regulatory affairs for the National Chicken Council (NCC), a non-profit trade group representing the U.S. chicken industry.
According to the NCC, its member producers and processors account for about 95 percent of the chicken produced in the U.S. "This study evaluates only two chicken nugget samples out of the billions of chicken nuggets that are made every year," Peterson said. A sample size of two nuggets is simply too small to generalize to an entire category of food, she told Reuters Health.
Two nuggets is a small sample size, deShazo acknowledged, and some chains have begun to use primarily white meat in their nuggets - just not the particular restaurants he visited.
"Chicken nuggets tend to have an elevated fat content because they are breaded and fried. But it's no secret what is in a chicken nugget - most quick service restaurants have nutritional information posted in the store or on their website," Peterson said.
"And every package of chicken nuggets in the grocery store by law contains an ingredient list and a complete nutritional profile, including fat content," she said.
The brief chicken nugget exploration was not meant to be an exposé of the chicken industry or fast food generally, but to remind consumers that "not everything that tastes good is good for you," deShazo said.
He and his colleagues chose not to reveal which chain restaurants they visited.
Consumers aren't necessarily being misled, since much of the nutritional information they need is readily available, he said.
"We just don't take the time to understand basic nutritional facts."

MTW-I always wondered, and thought so. Now I know. Nasty. I never much cared about food quality as an extremely drunk young man, hanging out with my friends; yet even so I bit into a few Mcnuggets, and I could swear that I was chewing on tendons or cartilage- I did not know, but I do now. That was in 1988. I stopped eating there then, a we began to eat Taco Bell or Denny's as our "drinking excessively" food. Turns out Taco Bell's beef was filled with the same Pink Slime that McDonald's burger "beef". What happened to this Country IMPROVING as former generations made happen? In general over the years I mean. It does not make sense, and now we are the most obese Nation in the World. A lot of boredom in today's youth leads to anything from overeating to shooting and killing a nice young man from Australia. The government, with all of their aid and welfare, Obamacare adding to the lack of jobs causing many to never enter the workplace and learn a good work ethic, move up in the World financially and have a decent life tells me that we are in serious trouble when OUR Representatives in DC do not care for the very ones of us who need their attention. Instead there is one side trying to negotiate- for US, and a President and Senator Reid behaving as if they are the all knowing Gurus. God forbid you openly attack an Obama policy, that makes you a "racist", or a "Tea Party terrorist", rather than what we are- informed American Citizens. Our Rights are being used by the Obama crew to hurt us and cause Conservatives' constituency to force the Republicans to give in. He will fight his fellow Americans, without negotiation, yet he goes out of his way to meet Iran's president- who will most likely lie in their faces to get sanctions lowered, all the while working in Iran to buy time to get that ICBM not to reach Israel, US. He will negotiate with Putin and Assad. But not Congress. This is all a great distraction from the Obamacare sign-up fiasco. Most of the things- like the debt ceiling- are the very things on which he opposed GW Bush, and openly mocked him about. The same goes for many other things, none more terrible than the deficit. Bush added $4.9 trillion in the 8 years he led the Country. Obama called that Unpatriotic and Un-American, as he proceeded to add over $6 trillion in less than 5 years, blaming Bush for problems to this day. What does that make him? He campaigned on cutting the deficit in half in his first term or he, and I quote, "will not run for re-election". It makes him a liar and a hypocrite. He should be quite the golfer by now. If only he did not run the second time. The Government would not be shut down, the deficit might be lower than $17 trillion and Obamacare would not be the nightmare it looks to be. I think we need to put the blame squarely where it belongs: OBAMA. For EVERYTHING. That is what he did to Bush. Pray folks.
